I do not own Pokémon, Marvel, or OneRepublic (somehow, I get them confused with One Direction…I don't know why.)

In Svartalfheim, Yveltal surveyed the damage that he did to the Dark Elves' home world. It was a desolate place, with mountains leveled, forests burning to ashes, and homes destroyed. There were very few Dark Elves killed during the attack, and only a few Jotuns killed by the Corpse Swallower.

Yveltal landed, and he thought on why there were so few fatalities caused by him. Must be the Convergence he thought after several hours.

He looked around, and then decided that it needed a new monster to continue destroying it. He tapped into the Tesseract's power, and he summoned a shadow-like creature with long white hair, a red collar, and a long black tail. Yveltal stared at it, then said, "Make this place an unending nightmare. Make all suffer with horrifying nightmares. Make them frightful of the dark."

The shadow creature stared at Yveltal with one blue eye, then turned into a shadow and slipped away. Yveltal then floated up and began meditating. The Aether began shooting out of his body as it hit the land and began creating monsters from the land.

The Tesseract began glowing as Yveltal projected his mind across the universe. Jotun runt, where are you? Thought Yveltal as he began searching the cosmos for his prey.

Back on Earth, Jane was pacing the floor as she kept on thinking about Thor and Darcy. They were supposed to have returned several days ago, but Heimdall warned them to not open the portal. Erik was busy doing some calculations, but he kept on getting them wrong.

"Dammit!" he shouted as he erased the problem and did it again. Jane sighed, and then went to find Heimdall. He was outside, and the sky seemed to clear up a bit, but there were still ominous clouds in the sky.

The plants in Central Park were growing, but they weren't the same plants. They were black in appearance, with twisted leaves and vines, as wilted petals grew on the flowers.

The trees had twisting branches, but they seemed dead, but were also undead. The lakes were black, as mutant creatures swam in the waters. Strange bat-like creatures were in the sky, but they were far larger than normal bats, and they looked like wyverns.

Heimdall stared back at the crystal. It was bringing creatures from other dimensions, but they were creatures of nightmares. Sometimes, the creatures brought food with them, or the creatures themselves could be eaten, but Heimdall had to do the killing. None of the mortals had any useful hunting skills, so they were helpless.

Pepper, Jane, and even Erik tried cooking the slaughtered monsters, but with varying degrees of success. Pepper proved to be the best one in cooking the meal, with Jane doing ok, and Erik usually making the monsters taste like charcoal and crunchy (but they were still edible, just not delicious.)

One night, while they were eating one of the cooked monsters, Jane couldn't help but look at the door. She remembered when there were other people in the building, but they either left when they had the chance, or they were killed. She thought on how some gigantic insects devoured some of the remaining personnel, but luckily Heimdall rushed in to slay them.

"Something wrong, Jane?" asked Pepper. "Hmm?" asked Jane as she looked at Pepper. "I asked if something was wrong," she repeated. "Oh, no. Nothing's wrong," she said.

After a moment of silence, Jane said, "I was just thinking on how, with everybody gone, we only have Heimdall to protect us. Just where are they?" Pepper didn't know how to answer. Tony was able to do some form of contact with his devices, but he did have a habit of not answering.

Several minutes passed, when Pepper answered; "They're probably busy with something, or they don't have a means to contact us." Jane just stared at her, then looked away as she resumed eating. She really didn't accept Pepper's answer, but then again, she really didn't feel as if something was really wrong.

Still, she couldn't help but feel worried about Thor and Darcy. Thor, Darcy, where are you she thought.

Back in space, Odin was talking to Malekith. "Malekith, I know that I'm asking much, but we need to go to Nidavellir after we arrive to Midgard," said Odin. Malekith stared at Odin for a while, and then said, "All blind-one Odin, you know as well as I do that us elves don't get along with dwarves. You know that we hate them as much as we hate you."

Odin remained silent for a moment, and then said, "We need to ask the dwarves to repair Gungnir and Mjolnir if we are to stop Yveltal." Malekith continued to stare at Odin, and then asked, "I've been meaning to ask, how did you get the dwarves to make you such destructive weapons?"

The Allfather sighed, and then said, "I had to whore-out Loki. I made him shape-shift into an attractive maiden, where he stayed with them until they had their fill with him. I had to give them a few other items that they requested, but Loki was the one that was considered the most 'expensive.'"

Malekith just stared at him with a look of utter disgust, and then said, "You Aesir disgust me. Whenever you're not thinking of war or power, it's lies and lust that you're after. The reason why I declared war on your kind was not because of the former for the Aether, but the latter for one of your drunk warriors forcing Lokasenna to be bedded against her will."

They all heard a "What?" and both Odin and Malekith turned to see Thor standing there. Odin fell silent, and then he said, "Thor, how long have you been standing there?"

Thor was silent, and then he said, "I've been here since you said on how you got Mjolnir and Gungnir for giving the dwarves Loki. I, I didn't know that Mjolnir was gotten from such a foul deed."

Malekith shook his head at Thor being naïve, and then he looked at Odin. "How many things did you lie about to your sons? Just how many secrets did you keep from them? You consider yourself to be superior than us and the Jotuns, but in reality, we're far better than you, old god of lies," said Malekith.

"Enough," shouted Odin. Malekith gave him a cold sinister smile full of malice as he said, "You know that I'm right." Odin just stared hat him, having no comeback. He'd lost that argument.

"Lately, I've been losing sleep, dreaming of the things that we could be, but baby, I been, I been prayin' hard, said no more counting dollars, we'll be, we'll be counting stars," sang Loki as he came in dancing. Thor, Odin, and Malekith were watching Loki as he was singing and dancing, but he abruptly stopped when he'd noticed that he'd had an audience.

Odin stared at the Jotun for a few moments, unable to form words, when Malekith said, "Loki, just what by the Aether were you singing?" "Oh," he said sheepishly, "I've been listening to Darcy's iPod. The song was 'Counting Stars' by some musicians that call themselves OneRepublic. It's a song that I happen to like."

"Loki, I told you that you can't court her," said Odin in a cold voice. Malekith looked at him, then said, "Just like the time that your father courted some frost giants in the past?" "You're not to bring that up, I forbid it," shouted Odin.

The Dark Elf shook his head, and then said, "Odin, before the war against our kind started, many Aesir would come to other realms to court other individuals. I'm still surprised on how many Dark Elves married Aesir and had healthy offspring." "They were exiled by my father once the war ended," said Odin loudly. "Father, just how many dark secrets does our family have?" asked Thor.

Malekith laughed again, then said, "From what my parents told me, your bloodline has more dark secrets than what Loki has been accused for crimes. I think that Asgard would be better off if you let the Jotun runt there rule on the throne." "That Jotun run is no longer an Odinson; he's Laufeyson now," said Odin.

That caused the Dark Elf to stop laughing, causing him to stare at Odin, then said, "You are truly a swine, old one. You're the one who adopted him, yet you neglect him. You lie to him, you sell him out for treasures and things that you desire, and now you abandon him when he needs you most. I don't think that I can think of any worse father in the entire nine realms if I tried, foolish one."

"He speaks the truth, Odin," said Loki, "I have suffered through all of your abuse, neglect, abandonment, and all the attention that you gave to Thor over the years. You caused me to hate him, even though I still consider him my brother. All I ask is to have your blessing so I can wed Darcy. I know that she has a short life span, but I know that, through some Asgardian means, she can become an Asgardian. Is it too much to ask for me to ask to have her as my wife?"

"She's a mortal, and a peasant. I won't allow thou to marry that filthy whore," said Odin. "She's not a whore," shouted Loki. "Was she a virgin when you bedded her?" asked Odin. Loki fell silent as he looked down at his feet. The Allfather had a smug look on his face as he said, "Just how loose was she?"

Loki clenched his fists, as he snarled, "If I had to pick who was the whore out of the two of us, it would be me. I say that I am the whore since you sold me to be bedded by others for things that you wanted. That would make you a…a…"

"A pimp?" asked Darcy. Everyone looked at her, wondering on how long she was there, when she continued, "Now that I think of it, he does look like a pirate pimp." Loki sniggered, as Odin glared at Darcy then at Loki.

Malekith remained silent, then he looked over at Thor and asked, "Does this usually happen, or has this started ever since you started courting Midgardians?" Thor remained silent for a moment, and then said, "Now that I think of it, things started going strange ever since I got banished to Midgard."

The Dark Elf seemed interested, as he said, "You got banished to Midgard? I'm interested to listen to your tale." "It all started on the day when I was supposed to be crowned king…" began Thor.

"You miserable old bastard."

"You're the bastard."

"Asgardian pimp."

"You're fornicating with a Midgardian whore."

"Leave Darcy out of this."

"Let's continue this someplace quieter," said Thor as he stared at his brother and father arguing with each other. "For once, Asgardian, I agree," said Malekith as he got up and led Thor to someplace quieter to continue the story.

They were in the library when Malekith asked Thor, "So, Asgardian prince, how did you get banished to Midgard?" Thor took a deep breath in, and then he began his story of his banishment.

He talked for hours, with Malekith interrupting once in a while to ask a question or two. He talked on how he got back to Asgard, him fighting Loki, Loki falling into the dark abyss of space, how he had to get back to Earth to retrieve Loki, the war on Earth that Loki started, the Convergence, and how he chose to stay on Earth.

Malekith nodded, then remained silent for a while, then he said, "Despite you wanting to be king, you chose to stay on Midgard with your mortal. However, a few things don't make sense."

"Such as?" asked Thor. He wasn't getting where Malekith was going, so the Dark Elf said, "What happened in Asgard while you were on Earth? What made Loki so power-hungry when he came to Midgard? Who did he talk to while he was away? How did he get the Chitauri? He could have killed Jane instead of allowing me to get the Aether, but why? We have to talk to him about what happened after you got banished to Midgard."

Thor nodded, then he thought of something. He looked at Malekith straight in the eyes, and then said, "He also was in Svartalfheim. How did he get there? Yveltal didn't get there until after we located Loki. Where was he for the last few weeks?"

"I do not know why either. We need to ask Naglfar and Lokasenna to see if they know anything," said Malekith. He then looked up at the top of one of the bookshelves and called out, "Red-haired Midgardian, metal-armed one, crossbow-wielding Midgardian, you three can come out of hiding."

Without a moment's notice, Black Widow jumped down with Bucky and Hawkeye, then she looked over at him and asked, "How did you know that we were here?" Malekith pointed to his ears and said, "You won't believe how sensitive my hearing is. Besides, we elves invented hiding in one's surroundings."

He then looked over at another bookshelf and called out, "Steve of Rogers, I know that you're there, hiding there as well." They then all heard a groan, and Captain America came out from behind the bookshelf, looked at them, then said, "It's a good thing that you weren't fighting alongside the Red Skull back in the nineteen-forties."

Malekith and Thor didn't understand what Steve said, when Bucky froze. "Bucky?" asked Steve when he saw his old friend stiffen up, and then Bucky said, "…no." He then dropped down screaming with his head in his hands, screaming, "No, I won't leave without you."

"Bucky…" said Steve as he walked over to his friend and knelt down besides him. "Bucky, I made the jump. We made it back to camp, and then we made it back to London. I picked you to be part of the Howling Commandos, and then we met Peggy Carter. You remember what Peggy was wearing."

Bucky stopped screaming, with tears in his eyes, as he said, "Yes. I remember trying to ask her out, and when she left, I said, 'I can't believe it. I'm turning into you. This is just some horrible dream.'" He fell silent for a moment, then said, "I wish what happened on…on…"

"The train?" asked Steve as Bucky nodded, then said, "On the train, when I fell off, I wish that was a dream. Now, I'm living a horrible nightmare." "Bucky, I managed to get you back. I thought that I'd lost you forever," said Steve as he pulled his friend into a tight hug.
