Here's chapter 21, and now let's get to the replies.

Guest: Things have been a little bit hectic in my life, I have been neglecting my other stories and will hopefully be able to update all of them soon.

Ahsoei: Thank you for saying, but trust me, there are a lot more twists than you could imagine.

Drago: Take your time, and don't rush yourself.

ChrisZilla18: Thank you, and I don't like to give spoilers, but all I can say is that it will be much later in the story

"For some time, I wanted to tell you. But no matter what, I could never find the words," Torafusa told Kurai.

Both dragon and devil, along with Ophis stood there in silence after Kurai finally came face to face with Deveen. "The real reason why you sealed away the Reshape Will, and only gave it the power to shift matter-"

"Deveen is a nasty existence, who holds no regards for humanity. In fact, I believe he thinks their too inferior to even be called insects." Ophis told him. "He has the power of negative influence. He can bring out the worst of your anger, hatred, and grief."

"He feeds on it, and it supplies his Grimoire's Legacy with power. Your hatred for Fallen Angels, was exponentially increased because you became a victim of his influence." Torafusa told him. "He wants to bring you to the deepest depths of despair, to where the amount of Grimoire's Legacy you'd release, would erase your soul."

"What...does he want?" Kurai said shaking in fear. It was too much for him to take in, and in such little time. There was a demon inside him, that wanted to kill him? He wasn't sure how to react to this at all.

"He wants your power." Ophis answered. "And it is all my fault."

"Ophis, you don't have to-"

"That gauntlet, that is my arm." Ophis revealed. Kurai's eyes widened in...what was it? Fear? Shock? Disgust? Horror? All of the above?

"I knew Torafusa-kun more than anyone. You could say he was like a son to me." Ophis told him.

"After I was killed by the Three Factions, Ophis designed a Sacred Gear by cutting off her own arm, and placing my soul in it. But we made one fatal error in judgement."

"At the time, Deveen attempted to possess my body. If he had done it sucessfully, there would be nothing that could stop him." Ophis admitted.

"Ophis has the power of omnipotence. You could easily end everything and start it over. Ophis made me promise never to tell anyone of this power. Because the ones who did find out, grew insane from their lust for power."

"Shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up, shut up!" Kurai couldn't take anymore and found himself on his hands and knees, quaking, shivering in absolute fear. "This power, I don't want it. Get this off of me now!"

Ophis sighed. "Doing that would mean taking your life. Besides, Deveen's influence has made it to where even I can't destroy it. That's how powerful he is."

"Why are you telling me all this?" Kurai asked her. He had a surprised look as she patted his head. "Because I think you are a suitable host for the Reshape Will's power."

"What?"

"What?"

"I ordered Torafusa-kun to supress the gauntlet's power until he has found a host worthy of it." Ophis smiled at him, and he managed to stand. "You are a truly kind boy. That is why-" She turned to the side, and touched the blue gem on his gauntlet's shoulder and hand. The blue light illuminated, and changed to color where it was now blood red, a glowing white symbol, most likely the seal, peeled off of the gem and shattered.

"Ophis, you didn't-"

"I did Torafusa-kun. Maybe, just maybe, he will destroy Deveen and the Great Red. Or he will bring this world to ruin. We shall meet again." Ophis turned to Torafusa, and smiled despite the serious look he was giving her. "Take care, Torafusa-kun, Kurai Kage."

"Hold on!" Kurai said as she disappeared. He held out his hand yelling for her to wait. Just as he said that, she was already gone. Kurai looked around and saw that time was still frozen. "She forgot to unfreeze everyone."

"Hold out your right hand."

Kurai did as told and held it out. Just like Deveen and Ophis, Torafusa disappeared back into the gauntlet. It was at that moment:

"Shift!"

The blood red gem glowed as Torafusa's voice resonated. And just like that, like a DVD set off of pause, time started moving again. Everyone went back to their food, and the man whose drink was about to spill, complained as he frantically tried to wipe it off.

"Time moved again." Kurai waved his hand. "Time stop."

"Shift!"

Just like earlier, time stopped and everyone was frozen except him.

"Shift!"

After another go, time moved again.

[This is only a taste of its true power]

"I think I should get some air," Kurai walked outside and caught his breath after realizing that nightfall had hit. He wondered if he could use his power to get him home, but he decided to walk. Seeing as his place was only a few minutes away. On his way, he stopped by a tree. "Lets really see."

"Shift!"

He held out his hand and watched as the tree suddenly vanished from the spot.

"So this is what I can really do?" Kurai said to both himself and Torafusa.

[If Deveen ever got his hands on that power. It would truly mean the end]

"Then I'll never let him get the best of my emotions. For now, Torafusa, promise me you'll always have my back. As my friend, you'll do that won't you?"

[...]

"Hey-"

[Out of all of my hosts, you're the first that's considered me as a friend, rather than a tool. I will always be with you]

"Just what were you doing out so late?"

As soon as Kurai got home, Rias was at the door waiting for him with her arms crossed over her chest with a stern glare.

"I had something to eat on the way. Besides-" He presented Ascalon after unsheathing it. "I got the sword."

Rias gave him a skeptical look. Kurai breathed heavily and walked past her heading to his room. "I had a long day. I'm calling it a night." He walked past Asia, who was carrying a pot of boiling liquid. The scent of miso soup had spread across the room. Kurai could hear his stomach growling, remembering that he hadn't ate anything at all.

"Kurai-san, you're home, I just got dinner don-!" Her foot brushed the chair leg and she lost her balance, accidentally spiling the pot and falling, only to be caught Kurai. "Asia are you okay?"

"Shift!"

All three turned around and looked towards the falling pot, only to stare as it was suspended in mid air, and was then teleported right onto the table.

"Kurai, your Sacred Gear." Rias pointed to his hand, revealing that his gauntlet appeared. She took a closer look at the gem, realizing that it was now red as blood. "What happened to it?"

Kurai sighed and stood back up with Asia. "This is the true form of my Sacred Gear." To prove it, he performed different kinds of feat. Like simultaneously turning off the lights at once, turning the water in a pitcher into juice, making one of the dining room chairs dance. And last:

"Infinite possibilities," He held out his left arm, and a spike made of blood shot out from his wrist and hardened until it took the form of a blade. "And you want to hear something interesting. This doesn't even hurt."

"I don't know what to say." Asia said shocked at seeing everything he just did.

Rias however bit her thumb trying to wrap her head around this. "I never realized I brought someone this ridiculously powerful into my house."

Kurai's P.O.V

The next day brought forth one of the most anticipated events the three Factions have ever heard of. Around the entire school, Devil, Angel, and Fallen Angel troops surrounded the school with weapons at the ready.

All members of the Occult Research club was making there way to the meeting.

"President, what will happen if anything goes wrong?" Asia asked looking in fear at all the soldiers.

"Then this school will become a battlefield." Rias answered calmly. I wondered if she was just as nervous as everyone else.

"If that happened, we'd have no choice but to fight," Gasper said timdly. I merely patted Gasper's head hoping to assure him.

"It'll be alright, Gasper-kun," I said. Despite the calmness in my voice, I was really nervous about what would happen should things go wrong. "So many Fallen Angels," I looked around at each of the black winged creatures and felt confliction in myself. Ever since meeting Deveen, I wondered if I truly hated Fallen Angels, or was I just influenced by Deveen this entire time. As ordered by Rias, I had Ascalon placed in the sword bag and was currently wearing it on my back.

Walking up to the room, Rias had knocked and opened it. "Excuse us."

Everyone walked in calmly. I did the same, except a small bead of sweat appeared on my head. In the Kuoh Academy's staff room, there was round table with five occupied chairs. Each of the leaders had an escort with them.

The two Archangels Michael and Gabriel had their golden wings unfurled and a halo atop their heads. Behind them was Kiria, who was wearing a white robe. Her guitar case that carried her holy lance was sitting next to her.

Azazel was the only one from the Fallen Angel's side. While standing behind him smirking at me with the overall charisma of a serpent, was the White Dragon himself. The sight of him made me gag inside.

Sitting next to Sirzechs was a raven haired girl with pigtails, probably one of the other Devil Kings. While President Sona, the Vice President Shinra Tsubaki, and Grayfia stood behind them.

"Whose that?" I whispered pointing to the girl, who merely smiled and waved back at him.

"That's Sona's older sister, one of the other Devil Kings, Serafall Leviathan-sama," Rias said.

"I never knew the president had an older sister." Asia said hearing that. "It sounds just like you and Sirzechs-sama."

Rias nodded and shushed them as Sirzechs gestured to them. "This is my little sister Rias Gremory, and her household." He introduced. "They were the ones who fought Kokabiel on my behalf."

"I thank you for your hard work," Michael said. Rias bowed in response of his praise.

"Sorry that one of my subordinates caused you trouble." Azazel said in a carefree attitude that slightly irritated everyone in the club. "He went rogue, and certainly did not have my permission to try to start a war, as well as destroying this town."

"So you were unaware until after the incident?" Gabriel asked him.

"I had a feeling he would make a move. So I had Vali here take care of him." Azazel gave a slight smirk. "He's currently frozen in the deepest levels of hell, and I highly doubt he'll ever escape."

"He attacked an Angel and brought disturbance towards us Devils during his attack." Serafall told him with a slightly displeased look.

"Send me the bill with any sort of compensation you want, and let's declare peace already." Azazel said. Those very words brought a surprised look on everyone's face.

"Azazel, is that really what you want?" Sirzech's asked the man with a stern glare.

"Yes, I do. But before that, I want to hear from the Black and White duo themselves," He said pointing to both me and Vali. "Both carry strong dragons within them. If only the red one was here," Azazel chuckled to himself. "It would be a complete catalyst."

"The Red Dragon is here," Everyone had their eyes on me, while I could only stared at Kiria. "Kiria-san, your Sacred Gear, does it carry the soul of the Welsh Dragon?"

"Huh?" Kiria gave me a surprised look, as if she didn't know what I was talking about.

"Yesterday, I met Ophis, the Dragon God herself," Those words brought a surprised look to everyone other than Vali and Azazel. Rias and the others looked at me with questionable eyes. "Vali, you saw her too, right?" I asked him.

"Yeah, she did say she wanted to meet all three of the Heavenly Dragons." Vali said supporting my statement.

"Hold on, I never met any dragon, let alone, the Ultimate Dragon." Kiria said out loud.

"I can confirm Kiria-kun's statement, Ophis never came to see her," Michael said trying to defend her.

I was surprised, that meant Ophis gave me the wrong name to begin with.

"I guess that means the Red Dragon is still missing. Pity." Azazel said turning back to us. "So White Dragon, Black Dragon, what are your thoughts?"

"All I want is to fight someone strong." That was all Vali answered. I couldn't tell what it was behind that answer. The calm yet arrogant smile he gave made his hard to read.

And that was when Azazel pointed to me. "What about the Black Dragon himself?"

I sighed. I asked myself this same question for a long time and was dead set on my answer. "I have no interest in any war." Despite the calmness I gave saying that, Azazel started laughing.

"Might I ask what's so funny Azazel?" Sirzechs asked him.

"It's ironic that someone like you has no desire for war." Azazel said before laughing again.

"And just what is that supposed to mean?" I asked him.

"The wielder of the Black Hand of the Apocalype, Grimoire's Legacy, Dragon Slayer Magic, and the Holy Sword Ascalon." Azazel listed each with his finger. "Those powers were only created for one thing. Do you know what that was?"

He was trying to aggravate me, and even though I knew that, it was already starting to work. I was clenching my fist trying not to lash out in anger. "To kill, right?"

"Exactly. A walking ball of destruction who doesn't want war, is utterly useless." Azazel said. "Tell me, the only time you ever feel your worth, your absolute existence, is when you fight, am I right?"

I stood there in silence not answering him. I didn't want to give him the satisfactory by responding.

"I'm only asking this. Let's say a war did erupt. If you still had no desire to fight, what would you do then? What would you do for yourself?" Azazel finished.

"I'd kill you first, and then the White Dragon second," I answered in a serious tone gripping Ascalon.

"Kurai," Rias said before grasping my right hand and keeping it behind so no one else could see. I took a deep breath, and tried to maintain my composure. Granted, it was extremely difficult. "When Kokabiel and I fought, he wanted me to fight for him. Because he thought that all I could do was kill. I'm not like that. I stick by that answer." I gave out a slight smirk. "Even if a war breaks out, you can bet I'll raise he-"

I suddenly stopped with my eyes widened as saucers. I could feel an intense chill run down my spine, and my very skin tingle as if bugs were having their way through every part. This was a certain from his instincts that something bad was about to happen. The worst part in this particular situation was that my insticts were about ninety-five percent accurate.

It was at that moment that a blinding light illuminated the area, and everyone, and everything went flying in an intense explosion.

Kurai made note that one of the disadvantages of dragon enhanced sight and hearing was that blinding explosions were one of its Achille's heels. His ears were ringing like never before, as if someone had placed tuning forks right near his eardrums, and everything around him was white, blurred, and spinning. For a second, he feared he had died in that explosion, and was now drifting in the void. It wasn't until Kiria slapped him that he realized he was still kicking. Looking up, he saw her holy weapon clutched in her hand,

"Kiria-san, what happened?" Kurai found himself on his feet and saw the staff room, or at least what was left of it. The entire interior was in complete shambles due to the shockwave, and the ceiling seemed to have been stopped from collapsing using. It didn't look like a good sign.

"Oh, the Black Dragon's awake." Azazel said turning to him..

"What the hell happened?" He looked around and realized that a few people were frozen. Kurai recognized the same power that Ophis used yesterday.

"Everyone's frozen in time," Kiba said looking around. Kurai realized that he was holding his Sword of Betrayer, and that Xenovia had Durandal on her.

Other than them, all of the leaders and Vali were completely unaffected. "It seems those with immense power, holy weapons, and our dragons were what kept us safe." Vali explained. Kurai looked to his hand realizing his gauntlet was out, and that the bag holding Ascalon was glowing with a holy aura.

"Michael-sama, what is going on," Kiria asked him, to which the leader of angels merely sighed. "It seems we're under a terrorist attack. How troublesome."

"How did they stop time?" Xenovia asked. Her wuestion caused everyone to immediately look around.

"Gasper-kun's gone," Kurai realized.

Azazel pointed outside. When everyone had turned their eyes in the direction he pointed, there were human-like silhouettes that had arrived in the school yard and in the air. Looking closely, these mage-like males and females dressed in black robes seemed to be firing attacks at us that were similar to magic bullets.

"Magicians," Kiria realized. "They must have took Gasper when the building exploded."

"It seems they placed the vampire into a Balance Breaker like state," Azazel commented. "Oi, Kurai, now would be a good time to use your arm."

"Yeah, got it," Kurai held out his arm and the blood red gem glowed, followed with a-

"Shift!"

It now made sense why Sirzechs said he could control Gasper's power. If it ever went rogue, or fell into the wrong hands, he could stop it just as easily.

At that moment, everyone came to and looked around, recognizing the sensation of Gasper's Sacred Gear. "What happened?" Akeno asked.

"It's Gasper, he was kidnapped. And that's not the worst part," Sirzechs pointed to the magician's outside and everyone who was frozen, looked to see them taking out all of the faction soldiers as fast as they came.

"They're taking them out with teleportation magic?" Michael asked. "That means someone connected to the gate."

"Why are they doing this?" Asia asked.

"They must have want to take out the leaders of the faction before peace could be declared." Kiria suggested. "This was clearly planned. They knew about Gasper-kun's ability."

Kurai scowled at the thought of Gasper being treated like that. Despite that, the rage he felt was trumped by Rias as the latter was completely covered in a red aura. "Gasper has been made into a terrorist weapon at the old school building. Moreover, for them to use his power to go after this important meeting. Never have I been so insulted like this."

"She is really pissed," Kurai commented to Kiba. It was then that Kurai realized something. Looking towards his arms. "I think I can bring Gasper back." Kurai focused his will on teleporting him to the room. Even after the gem glowed and the shift rang, he wasn't anywhere to be found.

"Something tells me the magicians found a way to block off the use of Sacred Gears other than Gasper's, and he's the one fueling it." Azazel said after Kurai's failed attempt.

"You're kidding," Kurai face palmed thinking back to when he first met him. "I completely underestimated him."

"Rias," Akeno walked up to her and placed a hand on her shoulder. "What about Castling?"

Kurai had heard of Castling from when Rias was teaching him chess, and for future Rating Games. It's a technique that instantly switches the position of the king and rook. "Hold on, with Koneko-chan here, wouldn't that be meaningless?"

"There's the old rook piece I haven't used," Rias said.

"Then we'll have Akeno accompany you," Grayfia told the two. "And the both of you will retrieve Gasper." Her orders were replied with a nod from both of them.

"The rest of you will have to take on the terrorists." Gabriel gestured to everyone else, earning a nod from them as well.

"Alright, then we leave you to it." Azazel turned his head to Vali. "Why don't you join in Vali, I believe the sight of the Black and White Dragon Emperors should fuck with some of those magician's mindsets."

"Gotcha," Vali said disappearing.

"Rias, Akeno," The both of them turned to Kurai as he held out Ascalon. He gave his palm a quick slash, releasing a small amount of blood that was immediately bottled up in a flask he conjured out of thin air. "This is for Gasper-kun, this should keep him in line."

"Thank you, Kurai." Rias said as the two slowly started their teleport.

"Don't die now," He muttered before they vanished. "Everyone, get near me so we can teleport out of her-" He stopped suddenly feeling a large amount of power in the air that caused his head to feel like he was being given a prayer. "What is this?" Unbeknowst to him, both of his irises were flickeing from blue to red.

"Kurai-san, what's wrong?" Asia asked kneeling next to him as he found himself on his knees clutching his head.

"Kurai-kun, pull yourself together," Kiria said shaking his shoulder.

"She's...she's coming." Kurai's voice was switching from raspy to normal just like how his eyes kept switching colors back and forth. As he talked, a magic circle appeared. As they saw someone rise from it, all the leaders of the three great powers were shocked, except Azazel, who busted out laughing.

"What kind of a magic circle is that?" Sona asked. "It looks familiar."

"The magic circle of the original Leviathan." Kurai answered as his voice continued faltering. As if on cue, a bespectacled, tanned woman appeared from the circle. She had brown hair tied into a bun with a headset, purple eyes, and was wearing a dress that was extremely low-cut and had a high slit on it which exposed a large portion of her breasts.

"Who is that?" Kiba asked.

"The one descended from the blood of the previous Leviathan. Katarea Leviathan. What is the meaning of this?" Sirzechs asked in a stern tone that was met with a laugh from her.

"I thought I'd pay a visit to the undeserving Devil Kings. How do you do Sirzechs, and..." She turned to Serafall and scowled. "Serafall."

"What is it that you're doing here?" Serafall asked.

"Who is she?" Asia asked. Kiria and Xenovia held their weapons pointing at Katarea, and shielding both Kurai and Asia. "One of the descendants of the first Devil Kings."

"I've heard rumors that they were still crabby about having their ancestor's thrones taken from them."

"You're exactly right Devil-chan," Katarea commented holding out her hands, a small ball of light appeared. "That's why I'm going to cut to the chase and kill you all here-huh?" She looked down as a pitch black blur suddenly appeared in front of her. A black blur with red eyes.

"Death Pierce!" She felt a set of hands clutch her abdomen, and she was blown out of the window by an intense blast that formed a slight shockwave.

"Senpai?" Koneko asked seeing as Kurai stood with his back to them. His blonde hair was now midnight black.

His sudden intervention left everyone surprised. "All of you, handle those magicians," He turned his head, revealing his red eyes filled with psychopathy, and a set of shark like teeth.

"Leave that bitch to me!" Before getting a response, his black wings unfurled and he took flight.

"What...just happened?" Kiria asked.

"Kurai is going to take care of one pest," Azazel waved his hand summoning a gate under everyone.

"As for us, we have some work to do."

"Jeez, I let my guard down," Katarea had stopped mid air and checked the wound, realizing that it wasn't lethal. "I see, so you just dragged me here with that sneak attack." She turned to Kurai, he was flying meters from her with a wicked, psychotic grin on his face. She looked around seeing that they were a kilometer away from the school. That attack must have been strong to send her flying this far in such a short time. "Who are you?"

"If it isn't the lovely Katarea. You would not believe how ecstatic I was feeling your presence. I can't believe you don't remember me," Kurai gave out a deep, raspy voice as if three of him were speaking in sync.

Katarea gave off a slightly shocked expression recognizing the tone of evil from his voice. "Deveen, the pureblood son of Satan," Katarea said with an almost bored expression. "If memory serves, aren't you supposed to be dead?"

"In a sense I am. My physical body whithered away centuries ago. But..." He held out his hand and covered it in Grimoire's Legacy. "I found myself an even more powerful vessel."

"You still depend on humans, just like your father." Katarea smirked. "It's been so long, talk about a heck of a reunion."

"You truly have no idea, how long I've waited for the day. It's so nostalgic, I actually want to throw up." Deveen/Kurai held out his right hand, and a pitch black sphere with a swirling crimson color the size of a bowling ball appeared on his palm. Katarea's eyes widened in shock and held out her staff as the blonde demon hurled it towards her like a fastball. From Katarea's staff, demonic energy hurled out and intercepted the sphere, keeping it at bay. Eventually, her attack dissapaited and she moved out of the way barely dodging it.

That attack left a small chill in Katarea's spine. "This is the famous Grimoire's Legacy of Satan. It has been a while since I felt this kind of power." She gave a small smirk. "Tell me, are you playing with me?"

"Damn, I guess I haven't had much practice." Deveen sighed placing a hand over his hair. "It's been a few centuries since I've used it. Lets see." Kurai gave off a sadistic smile crossing his arms in an x with his hands spread.

"Grimoire-" His fingers arched resembling the claws of a tiger. "Claw."

From his back, several waves of Grimoire's Legacy appeared in the form of claws that honed in on Katarea. The latter manuevered around the swirling claws of destruction and struck Kurai with her staff, sending him plummeting several mph creating a rather large crater to the ground.

"Honestly Deveen, you really are lacking." Katarea gave off a laugh as she hovered towards him as Kurai groggily was trying to get on his feet.

"You really are a bi-" He was interrupted as her arms inflated like massive balloons, and she used them to savagely pummel him deeper into the ground. She laughed as she mercilessly and savagely bashed him deeper with several punches.

"Weak. Honestly, you're so weak that it's beyond funny! The terrifying son of Satan said to be the strongest among us! This is just too good! Rivzeim would be busting a gut right now!" She stopped and reeled her hand back yelling in pain and agony as Kurai was emanating more of his Grimoire's Legacy from his body. The resulting clash between skin and power severely burned Katarea's hand and she growled. "You bastard." She looked up at him, only to widen her eyes in immense fear as she was reduced to stuttering.

"It's been so long, you've forgotten. Hehe, honestly I can understand how you've forgotten the kind of relationship we had back when I was still alive. To think that you made me have to go into my demonic form." Deveen gave off a smirk under his demonic form. He now donned pitch black leg armor on both of his legs with a matching black vambrace on both of his arms. He was bare chested, with black skin and scales running down his chest and his lower body, forming a sort of robe like garment made of black material. A pair of horns grew from his head. His wings dobled in size, and two more sets of devil wings appeared. "This is only my partial form that I can only bring forth with what little power I have. If I was at 100% of my power, I think you would be on your knees by now. So let me break this down." He held out his right hand and closed his eyes. "You are a loyal dog who does what is told. When I say to kill, you say 'Yes master.' Do you get what I'm saying?"

Katarea scowled before giving off a small chuckle closing her eyes. "So this is going to be a clash of true forms?" She said opening her eyes, revealing they had turned slit like a serpent. "Then I'll be happy to oblige!" She had spread her arms wide and her entire body reddened, the tie that kept her hair a bun fell off and her hair grew longer and wilder. Her legs shifted into an almost wing like appendages as several markings appeared on her bare body. "I'll teach you not to underestimate me you bastard! Right after I kill you, I'll kill that bitch Leviathan next! Then the true heirs of the Devil thrones will take back what was screwed from them!"

"I couldn't care less about your wants. It actually bores me to tears." A small ball of Grimoire's Legacy formed in his hands. "But I'll be glad to show you your place!" His laughter of insanity echoed across the distance, as the descendants of Leviathan and Satan stared each other releasing hostility towards one another as they prepared themselves.

End of chapter. Hopefully, I'll have the next chapter by Thanksgiving, or if not, I'll have a special surprise by Christmas.
