"I think you're mistaken Korbin. John Anders is my dad." Kori corrected the man as he sat in the chair next to her bed.

"No, John is not your father. My little bumgorf your mother had cheated on your father with me nine months before you were born. I didn't know Grace was married at the time, and I thought what she and I had been special but…" Korbin started but was interrupted.

"Stop! There is no way you could be my father, John Anders is!" Kori argued squeezing Richard's hand tightly.

"I would never lie to you Kodee. I will sit here and take a blood test to prove it to you, John's last name isn't even Anders that's your Mother's maiden name. Do you know how bad it would look for them if the world found out that Grace had cheated on her husband and father of her two children." Korbin replied eyeing Kori taking in her image.

"Well what on this god damn planet made Grace pick you? She was rich enough as it is. Why would she risk throwing it all away just for you?" the red haired woman hissed rudely.

"To have a daughter of royal blood, you my dear are very valuable." Korbin told his so called daughter and her fiancé.

"What do you mean Royal blood?" Richard questioned dryly.

"I am the grand ruler of Tamaran, and Kodee is the only child I have conceived making her the only family I have in the bloodline eligible to take my place and become empress when I have died or I retire." Korbin reveled making the young couple gasp in pure shock.

"If that's true, why do you keep calling her Kodee when her name is Kori?" Richard questioned for his fiancé since she seemed to be in such a state she couldn't speak.

"Her mother and John changed her name after they left me behind." Korbin sighed sadly.

"If all of this is true then where were you all of this time? You are no fucking better than they are, no you are actually worse. You didn't even care enough to try and care for me, you just let them take me and hate me so you wouldn't have to." Kori snapped bitterly.

"No, I loved you I still do. Kori I couldn't come after you because they told me you were dead. Do you remember the accident you were in when you were six? A deer ran in front of your mother's car and she ran off of the road, and crashed into a tree. You hit your head really hard on the window and went into a coma. Kori, Grace told me you weren't going to ever wake up, so flying up to Gotham would be stupid since I was getting married the next day. All of these years I always wondered what you would have looked like, if you'd be anything like me, I never stopped thinking about you. Even on your birthday I'd sit up at night and sing a song I wrote for you, I even wrote to you nearly every day since you've been gone. You were my whole world then suddenly you were ripped away from me." Korbin confessed tears in his eyes. "But looking at you now you are more beautiful than I could have ever imagined you'd be. I want to get to know you, know how you grew up, I want to be at you're wedding, I want to know everything you're willing to tell me about you."

"Will you sing the song for me?" Kori asked in a soft whisper tears threatening to fall from her emerald eyes as she was practically in Richard's lap.

"She spins and she sways to whatever song plays
Without a care in the world

"Yo- You wrote th-that for me?" Kori asked as tears slowly fell down her face. "It sounds so familiar did I hear it before?"

"Yes, I used to sing it to you every night you would stay at my place, or when your mother and I were on business together. I'm sorry you're in the hospital my little bumgorf, I can't help but think I could have prevented all of this with Bates if I would've known you were alive."

"Don't blame yourself for this, you couldn't have possibly known my fate. This is all Grace and John's fault they shouldn't have kept me from you, and now I honestly want to know what my life would have been like if I could have known you. Let's just say Grace and John haven't exactly cared much about me growing up, especially once college came around and they disown me; then suddenly BAM they arrange my marriage just to make things better for themselves and their company." Kori explained sadly sniffling from her position in Richard's arms.

"This man is your betrothed?" Korbin questioned eyeing Richard skeptically.

"Yes." Kori replied sure of her answer.

"Are you in love with this man?" Korbin asked as he watched Richard give his daughter a light squeeze of nervousness.

"Yes, very much. I wouldn't marry Richard if I was not in love with him." Kori said with a smile.

"And you love my daughter, yes?" Korbin asked glaring at Richard making the young man swallow hard.

"Yes sir with all my heart." Richard answered nervously.

"You do understand if you hurt her I will not hesitate to kill you? With no remorse I might add." Korbin stated seriously.

"Understood sir, I already have a marine and football player on my ass if I do. But trust me sir I will never hurt your daughter intentionally. I almost lost her once I don't plan to do it again." Richard declared earning a kiss on the cheek from his fiancé making Korbin smile widely.

"I'm glad we understand each other, and please call me Korbin." Kori's father addressed.

"You can call me Dick." Richard spoke holding his hand out for Kori's father, which he eagerly accepted and shook with great strength.

"Ah, you are Bruce's son. I actually talked to him on the phone and explained everything."

"What do you mean?" Kori asked her father.

"You see my little one Bruce and I have been friends for quite some time. I actually saved his life the first time we met, he was in Israel on business and he wondered off into Gordinian territory-" Korbin started off.

"And I would have been beheaded if you hadn't shot those three guards dead." Bruce spoke with a chuckle walking into the room with Bisnonna tightly on his arm.

"If I remember correctly you put up a good fight yourself, and you were bare handed which was rather impressive." Korbin smiled lightly standing to meet his friend half way for a short embrace. "Hello my friend."

"It's nice to see you again, so would have thought my son and your daughter?" Bruce asked eyeing the couple.

"Brucie let me go, I want to see Kori." Bisnonna demanded struggling to get her arm out of the billionaire's grip. "How are you my dear, are you still in any pain? You are getting to thin, not to worry though I shall make a big brunch for tomorrow when you return home." The elderly woman beamed taking the Tamaranian beauty's hand within her own. "We shall share recipes, yes?"

"Of course we can Bisnonna, and I know I'm down to one hundred and three pounds. I at least need to gain 12 back to be where I was." Kori spoke giggling.

"That is still too thin! Try at least twenty seven more pounds, you were to skinny before." Bisnonna argued making the whole room chuckle.

"Well damn Bisnonna are you not going to even say hello to me?" Richard questioned acting as if he were a heartbroken child.

"Oh Dick you are fine, I see you all the time." Bisnonna concluded before fussing over Kori once again.

"Not that I don't love the fact that you adore my fiancé, but can I at least get a hug or something?" Richard pouted.

"Are you jealous of sharing your grandmother with me?" Kori teased touching her hands to Richard's face.

"No, but a little recognition never hurt." Richard spoke before kissing Kori's tattooed shoulder.

"Do not start something you can't finish Mr. Grayson." Kori whispered sensually into his ear so only he could hear. She immediately gave a cute soft snort to hide her laughter, as she watched Richard not only swallow hard, and shiver, but also cross his legs clearly trying to hide something.

"Are we interrupting you two?" Bruce asked looking at his son's blushing face making Kori laugh out loud.

Korbin immediately looked toward his daughter only to see a lustful look in her eyes which seemed to make Richard practically squirm. He couldn't help but laugh himself she was more like him than he thought.

"Sweet cheeks quit it your dad and my family are in the room." Richard warned through a clenched tight jaw.

"I'm sure they'll be ok with leaving for a while, after all I do need a shower." Kori spoke as if nothing was wrong. "And I could really use your help." She fake pouted.

"You are going to be the death of me." Richard sighed.

"Trust me son I'll be the death of you sooner, but I guess we will let you guys go so you can finish…err…oh god I can't even think about my little girl doing that!" Korbin laughed making Bruce chuckle as well. "But honestly I want to get together soon so you can meet your brothers and step mother."

"I would love that." Kori practically yelled in enthusiasm just as Wally came into the room a stern disappointed, yet pissed off look on his face. He didn't say a word just sat on Kori's bed taking her hand in his. "Wally look it's my dad isn't it… Wally what's wrong?"

"Kor the police and I have been working on the case, and we were wondering how Bates got your private cell phone number when he called you that morning. We began to look into Bates's phone records, and looked at his letters he received when he was in prison." Wally started in a quiet tone squeezing his best friend's hand tighter.

"Wally what did you find out?" Kori asked worriedly unsure of what to expect.

"Kor, Grace has been in contact with Bates for the last six months. They were sneaky about it to, so sneaky the cops can't even charge her because it's all circumstantial. She only gradually mentions you, we think the whole thing was planned out." Wally admitted sadly to the now stunned room. "We are looking more into it, but we think she was trying to hide Korbin from you. Kori she wasn't supposed to have custody of you, she hid that from your father to. You were supposed to stay with your dad but she stole you and brain washed you. So not only are you here illegally but Tyra your step mother was listed as practically your mother; you were not allowed anywhere near your mother."

"What are you saying?" Richard's voice boomed making everyone except Wally jump.

"The government wants Kori deported back to Tamaran, and put under protection detail until we can detain your mother and John." Wally said running a hand through his hair.

"Deported, for how long? We have a wedding to plan." Bruce argued shocked.

"No you don't. Since they aren't Kori's "parents" legally the contract you signed doesn't matter, and the last few months Dick and Kori spent together doesn't even exist. It was all a forced engagement so the authorities are fighting it. Kori and I only will leave for Tamaran, just the two of us were I will be leading the American security, and Korbin and his officers will also be protecting her at all costs. Kori John and Grace have you engaged to marry men from all around the world, dangerous men. You being a princess is a big ranking in your social status, and we think that these men are going to use you as leverage against Korbin to take down the Tamaran Empire to help their own countries." Wally explained not meeting his best friend's eyes.

"Wally what? Why? I- I don't understand." Kori stuttered holding back tears as her lip trembled and Richard held her tightly to him.

"Kori you are the key to starting a world war."
