They had barely made it in the door before Regina was pushed up against it. She made quick work of her sweater and his shirt. His touches left fire in their wake. She wrapped her legs around Emery's waist and he deftly found her bedroom.
He laid her on the bed and again was struck with how beautiful this woman before him was. He leaned down and kissed her. It was then he decided that he could kiss her for the rest of his life.
"I'm staying." He breathed out.
"What?" Regina questioned as she focused on his face instead of his hands.
"I'm not leaving Storybrooke until you tell me you don't want me here any more." The look that he was rewarded with was one of pure joy.
"Play your cards right Detective and I don't plan on ever asking you to leave." She kissed him and to his surprise she ended up on top of him.
She smiled down at him and unhooked her bra freeing herself. For the second time that day Emery Elias Swan had forgotten his name.
When they finally did emerge from Regina's room, around 11, both of their stomachs were growling in hunger and it had long since turned dark.
"Food?" Regina asked with a smile as she heard Emery's stomach for the tenth time.
"God yes. I have worked up an appetite. You Madame Mayor are insatiable." He grinned as he kissed her.
"I'm not the only one." She smiled as they reached the bottom of the stairs where she noticed the discarded clothes, her purse, and a knocked over vase of flowers.
"You cook, I'll clean." Emery offered.
"Deal." She said and sauntered and swayed off to the kitchen.
Emery made his way to the front door to pick up. He grabbed his shirt and jacket and noticed that he had left his phone in his jacket pocket. He was greeted with 5 missed calls and 20 text messages. Dear God he thought. Two of the calls were from his sister and the other 3 were from Sarah. He checked his voice mails and not surprisingly the ones from Sarah went from sweet and remorseful to hateful. His sister left a voice mail telling him that she hoped him and Regina were ok and that if she had to choose for him she would choose the Mayor. That left him with a smile.
The text messages, all from Sarah, like the voicemails went from pleading him to come home to Boston to hateful and telling him that when he was ready to grow up and see what he could have if he only got his head out of his ass, she would be at Granny's Bed and Breakfast.
He put his phone back in his jacket straightened up the vase and grabbed Regina's purse to put in the dining room where she kept it.
"How many phone calls did you get?" She asked him when he walked into the kitchen where she was finishing making eggs and biscuits.
"Only 5." He chuckled.
"5? That is surprising low." She smiled. After the evening that they just spent together and the way he made her feel, the doubts that she was feeling had evaporated and she was confident that he wasn't going anywhere.
"And 20 texts." He added.
She paused at that information.
"20 texts? Wow." She tamped down that little nugget of doubt.
Emery sensing her hesitation came around the corner and turned her to face him. He pushed her hair behind her ears and kissed her forehead.
"If you want to walk away I can't say I won't stop you but as long as she is here both of us are going to have to deal with it. I just don't want to deal with it tonight. I want to enjoy our date." He looked into Regina's eyes and tried to convey that he wasn't going anywhere and that he would fight like hell to keep her.
"I'm not going any where. If she thinks I'm giving you up without a fight then she has another thing coming dear. You're mine." she knew the weight that her words held and realized that she could be crushed by them. She had decided much like Emery that she would fight for this relationship. She was finally beginning to feel wanted and needed, a way that she hadn't felt in a long time, even before Daniel left. She would not let anybody ruin it for her.
"Possessive Mayor is hot." He smiled.
She leaned into him, got up on her tippy toes, and whispered, "And bothered." Emery needed no more encouragement or enticement other than those two words.
He hoisted he up on the counter, their makeshift dinner forgotten. They spent the rest of the night exploring each other and showing through touch of hands and lips how much the other meant to them.
Neither of them wanted to stop. They had both been so lonely for so long that the attention of the other spurred them on. Around 3 in the morning after exploring each other in almost every room in the house they finally ate cereal and cold eggs.
