A month later….
Lora and Hunter worked overtime trying to plan the wedding. Lora loved event planning. She and her mom always threw huge Fourth of July parties every year. So it didn't take much for them to pull it all together. They decided to have the wedding at Hunter's house since they had a huge yard and, a beautiful lake behind it. They invited most the WWE roster and employees that worked directly with and both their families. They decided to not tell anyone about the baby prior. They would know soon enough.
The event was catered for a summer BBQ. They went with a subtle classy Fourth of July theme with red, white, and blue decor. Lora sat in the guest room while the stylist got her makeup and, hair ready. Aurora, Murphy, and Abby came in. "LORA!" They ran to her.
"Well, look at these two lovely little girls. Aurora are you ready to be my maid of honor. I loved the bridal shower/bachelorette party you and Aunt Milly had for me. The cookies you made with your mom were so yummy." The girls had had a little tea party her Aunt helped planned the night before. Aurora smiled sweetly.
"Do you like my dress? It's red and lace like the dress you wore on my daddy's first date with you."
"I know. You girls all look very lovely. Abby and Murphy are you ready to throw flower petals? My two beautiful flower girls." The girls jumped up and down excited. She had four bridesmaids. Her best friends since she was a kid, Carolyn, Amanda, Diane. As well as Steph and her Aunt Milly. "Girls, I have something for you." Lora took out a little bag. Inside were three necklaces with a gold chain with a crystal heart pendant with unicorns engraved in them.
Aurora's eyes got big. "For us? A unicorn. A real unicorn." The crystal made the Unicorn sparkle and look like a rainbow.
"Come here to the window. Let me show you something." She put the necklaces on the girls. "I have one just like you all do. My mom gave me one just like it when I was your age Aurora. I am so glad to be able to be your new stepmom. I love you, girls, very much. Look, when you hold it up to the light this happens." Lora took her necklace she was wearing like the girls and held it to the light. The necklace shined and, made rainbows dance across the room. The girls looked in awe around the room.
"Wow!" Aurora and Abby said in unison.
Abby looked at Lora, "Aunty, is it a magic unicorn that makes rainbows?" Abby was 6 years old. only a year older than Aurora.
"Sure is. Know what. When I was your age I loved unicorns too." She hugged the girls. "Ok girls, I need to get in my dress. Don't you think?!" The girls cheered, yes. Steph had been helping with the girls and, she ushered them out so Lora had a minute with her mom alone.
Lora's mom helped her into her simple lace boho style wedding dress. She sat looking in the mirror smiling back at her mom. "Mom, I really do love him. I'm sorry I made a mistake before. I was young and stupid. Matty was a good guy but, Hunter….he is everything to me. I think we have what you and dad have. Real love."
Her mother stood by her daughter hugging her laying her head on her shoulder trying not to cry. "Mom, don't cry. You cry I cry, we all cry."
"I cry." Her dad walked in. "You look beautiful princess. That man out there is pacing around like a wild horse wanting out of the pen. I better get you out there before the poor guy paces a hole in the floor." She agreed. Her dad handed her the theme inspired bouquet.
"Let's hit it, dad. Maybe this time I'll get it right." She joked.
Meanwhile, Hunter was in his own room with his groomsmen trying to calm down. His friends Shawn, X-Pac, Scott Hall, Undertaker, and Kevin Nash as his groomsmen, his nephew his ring bearer, and Timmy his best man.
"Hunter, man, stop pacing. You were not this nervous the last time around." Kevin joked.
"Well, this time I have a lot more to think about than myself, don't I. She's amazing though. Isn't she." He sat on the bed smiling. "Oh, Tim! I got you something. For my best man." Hunter took out a box. Inside was a cell phone. He knew Tim didn't have one but, had wanted one of his own. "That is for you. It can do everything your computer can. On there is my direct number. You can call me or text anytime you need me or want to check on Lora. No more hacking though. I wouldn't want you to get in trouble again. Love you buddy. See these guys in this room?" Hunter hugged him.
"The Kliq and Taker?" Tim explained.
"That's right. We are best friends and, like brothers. A brotherhood. You're one of us now, brother." Hunter patted him on the back.
Tim started to tear up. "I never had a brother." He cried and hugged Hunter hard as he could. The guys all went over and joined in the hug. The guys all dressed in blue suits with red ties headed outside to get in their places once Tim gathered himself.
It was evening and the sun was almost set and, the soft glisten of the swaging lights over the wedding shown like fireflies. Hunter and the men made their way to the front of the wedding aisle. Hunter took his place next to the preacher trying to keep his emotion under control. He stood with his hands crossed behind his back waiting patiently. He wiped his forehead. It was a nice summer day but, it wasn't the heat that was bothering him. He just wanted to see her. Shawn chuckled and Hunter looked over. "Well, since her makeover she takes forever to get ready. Someone get that woman down this aisle before I have a nervous breakdown. I haven't been this nervous since Hell in the Cell with Taker." He said out loud.
Undertaker spoke up, "She may give you more of a fight. She's feisty."
Everyone laughed. Hunter just fidgeted back and forth nervous.
The music started and he saw his little angel Murphy and Abby coming down the aisle throwing rose petals. Abby was showing Murphy what to do. Murphy stuck one in her mouth and, cringed trying to get out back out. Everyone giggled watching the girl. Hunter chuckled. The laugh made him relax a bit.
Next came his nephew pulling Vaughn in a wagon. Vaughn had a cute little dress with little sparkly red stars. The bridesmaids came out looking ravishing in red lace dresses. Hunter tensed up again. Shawn reached over and patted him on the back. Tim joined in. Hunter looked over at Tim and smiled.
Little Aurora made her way down the aisle. Hunter felt pride seeing his big girl looking so grown up. She made her way to her spot and had the biggest grin on her face. The music changed playing the wedding song. The doors of the house opened and, Lora and her father stepped out.
Hunter looked up from Aurora at Lora. Tim whispered in Hunter's ear. "Aunty looks like a fairy princess. She's pretty."
"She sure is buddy. She's beautiful." Hunter took a deep breath trying to hold back tears. Lora looked to Huner and the closer she got her smile grew. Hunter couldn't hold it in any longer and he felt the tears come. Once she reached her spot she saw his tears and she started to cry happy tears too.
"Who gives this woman.."
"Her mother and I do." Her father kissed her cheek and, waited for Hunter to take her hand.
Hunter pulled her to him, "You look stunning." He kissed her hand.
"Dearly beloved we are gathered….." The preacher spoke. "Lora and Paul wrote their own vows. Paul.."
"Lora, the day we met I knew there was something special in you. A light I have never seen before. I see the way you are with my girls, your niece, and nephew, family, our coworkers. Even in your hard times you always have this electrifying smile that is contagious. Your laugh makes my heart smile. When I saw this crazy woman and, her bunny car I knew I had to know more about her." Everyone softly giggled. Hunter looked back at Tim and winked. Tim blushed. "But, heck who can't be curious about a girl who drives a monster bunny car that sings, talks, and attacks you with silly string." He turned to the crowd of family and friends patting his pocket. "Seriously, that car gave me a gold condom once. One that I saved for good measure." He winked back at Lora and she tried not to laugh as the crowd erupted laughing. He turned back to her smiling sweetly, "Anyway I have never felt so much love and passion as I have known since I met you. I will cherish you, love you, and hold you when your hurting for the rest of my life. I welcome you into my family with my girls and, make you my future. One that starts today. I love you."
"Hunter...sorry...Paul…"She chuckled. "I have had a place in my heart for as long as I have known of your existence. I remember watching DX and thinking Dang! That man is fine, I need me some of that! Then you became my boss and, I thought...I'm never going to get any work done." The crowd laughed. Lora looked at the crowd. "You try concentrating when your boss is built like a Greek god." She giggled. "Seriously though. Life didn't align us to be in this place we are until now. Our past needed to define us first. We needed to learn to love, laugh, and be the people we are today. I stand here now knowing that you were more than just Triple H. You were a man with a huge heart. Who cares for everyone around him. From day one you showed me kindness and, made me feel special. When I didn't feel that way myself. You brought me back to being me. But most of all you showed me what love is. Until I met you romantic love was something I didn't understand. I thought it was something that only came up in movies. You have become my partner, my lover, my heart, and my best friend. I will love you and for the rest of my life I will show you the love you show me." She reached over wiping a tear from his cheek.
"...With the power vested in me, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may..." Hunter grabbed her and, kissed her. The moment he had been waiting for all day. His bride in his arms. "Kiss the bride. I present to you, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Levesque."
On the way back down the aisle, everyone had sparklers lit as the wedding party made way back toward the house. They went and changed to be more comfortable for the reception. Lora went and changed into a short white summer dress that was similar to her wedding dress. Hunter changed into jeans and just his white button-up shirt. She came out of the guest room and he stood leaning against the wall with his hands in his pockets. "Well, hello Mrs. Levesque. You sure look beautiful tonight. May I escort you to the party?" Lora smiled and took his arm.
"You may. Hunter today is so perfect."
"Well, almost. Lora before we go back outside, I want to ask you something." He looked concerned. Lora stopped him and faced him looking in his eyes. "I don't feel good about not telling my parents or the girls about the baby."
Lora smiled and looked at her feet and back up to meet his eyes. "Thank goodness. Only aunt Milly knows. It's driving me crazy."
"You too. I want to share it with the world. So, would it be ok if we announce it tonight?"
"Yes, I would love that." She kissed his lips gently. "Now Boss Man. Let's go party. Try not to twerk out there. It's seriously tragic to watch. Like a train wreck. But, you have such a nice backside it's hard not to look." She giggled.
"Hey. I'll show you. You're getting the full monty tonight woman. Lapdance coming your way." He swirled his hips like a male stripper.
"Umm. Now that is much better. Show me what you're workn' with." She giggled.
Hunter smirked, "Just wait." He pulled her outside.
Outside the DJ announced the couple as they came out. Hunter and Lora both had bottles of water and did his signature water trick. Timmy thought it was funny seeing his aunt spit the water in the air. Hunter motioned for the DJ mic. "Lora and I decided to do things a little different than the typical wedding cheesy stuff. We want you all to have fun. This is about family. Not just about us. So have fun. Enjoy the rides, games, and eat. We will have a fireworks display at the end of the evening over the lake. We asked you all to dress in just summer fun clothes and not typical wedding attire. We felt our relationship has been anything but, normal. From the bunny car, to me hitting on my sexy assistant.' Lora blushed holding his hand. "We will do some typical traditions like the cake but, most of all we want this to be about joining our families and friends in celebration. Speaking of joining families. Lora and I have been hard at work to really make that happen." He looked over to her lovingly. "I decided to asked Lora to be my wife about a month and a half ago. A week before I had the chance to ask her to be my bride. She had a surprise for me. Lora and I…" He looked over to her smiling into her eyes.
"Oh, geez. Hunter just say it!" She laughed.
"We're having a baby." Hunter grabbed her and held her in his arms. Lora's mom jumped up and started to walk to them. Everyone started to clap and her mom raised her hands stopping them. Steph went over taking Lora's mothers hand noticing the woman looked as if she was going to faint.
"Doctors...said you couldn't." Her mom started to cry. Lora instantly felt her own tears fall. "Is it true?" He mom put her hands over her mouth. Hunters mom jumped up and walked over to Lora's mom holding her shoulders in shock. Waiting to see if it was true. She knew how badly Lora wanted a child of her own. They had talked about it many times.
"Momma. It's true. I'm having a baby. I guess...it just needed to be with the right person." Lora smiled and ran to her mother's arms. They both held each other crying. Shawn started to clap and the crowd joined in celebrating. Hunter went over hugging the women who were in a pile of emotions.
"Hunter, why didn't you tell us?"
"Mom, this is not why we got married. If that's what you're thinking. I love Lora and, I was planning to ask her anyway and already had the ring. We just didn't know how to tell everyone yet."
"Son, I knew you were going to marry her the first time I saw you together. Lora, sweety. I'm so happy for you both. I wish you would have told us." Hunters mom hugged her.
They went to join the party. Lora and Hunter walked around greeting people and, watching them play games.
Shawn stopped them, "Hey H. I hate to say this but, I told you so!" He joked.
"Shawn, remember those two words? Suck it." Hunter joked.
Later that night…
At the end of the night, they had a fireworks display and Hunter was standing by the lakeside with his arms around his new wife. "This really has been an adventure hasn't it."
Looking up at him, "It has. Who knew we would end up being best friends and, now married."
After the fireworks Hunter had the DJ announce that they Lora were leaving for their honeymoon and, to meet them out front. Lora looked at him confused. "I thought we weren't leaving till tomorrow?"
"Come on. TIM! Let's do this!"
When everyone reached the front of the house Tim ran into the garage. "Where is he going?"
Hunter laughed, "Wait for it."
"You didn't." She looked up at him. Expecting her new car to be trashed.
About that time the groomsmen went over to the garage opening up the door. Tim was in the bunny car and drove it out to the driveway. The car had been decorated for the married couple and, was playing love songs. Tim got out and ran over to Hunter. "It's all yours Uncle H!" The boy laughed.
"You are the one who was the highest bidder weren't you?" She started to laugh.
Hunter smiled, "It needed to stay in the family. Let's roll!"
"In that?" She pointed at the monstrosity of a car.
"Yep." They got in and everyone was laughing at the look on Lora's face. She knew she was in for some prank.
Steph was standing with her new husband and went over and whispered something to Tim. Tim smiled and started to laughed and shook his head, yes pointing at the car. Lora got nervous. "CRAP! What did they do?"
"What?" Hunter looked back at Tim and Steph's guilty looks. "Here we go!"
Everything in the car started to go off at once and instantly stopped. Suddenly over the loudspeaker, it said: "TIME TO PLAY THE GAME!" And, then the R Kelly song Bump and Grind came on.
Lora started to laugh. Hunter looked over at her. "This may have been a bad idea."
About that time the glove compartment and trunk popped open. Hundreds of blown up condoms flew out of the trunk. The glove compartment had tons of condoms. Hunter backed the car up to the group of people who were now laughing hysterically. Yelling over to Steph and Tim who were crying in laughter. "Ok, you two. I think the condoms may have been a little late. Don't you think?"
Timmy tried to not laugh, "Well, Uncle H. Maybe you should have used that gold one."
Looking over at Lora who was all smiles. "No. I think it was worth saving." He leaned over and kissed her sweetly and rubbed her belly. They rode away in the bunny car in the way they started. Laughing together.
