Aubrey was crossing the room at the same time that Chloe was getting off of the bed, to stop her.

The blonde reached the bed just as Chloe hit the floor and she stepped in front of her.

Blue eyes met Green. One worried, the other cautious. "Aubrey?" Chloe asked, making sure she was able to block Aubreys view of Beca.

"If this." Aubrey breathed. "Is going to become a thing...if you like her, then..."

Chloe held her breath and Beca looked up anxiously.

"Then it's my duty, to give her the best friend speech." She said and a small smile appeared on her lips. Chloes breath released and she laughed lightly.

she reached out, pulling her friend into a tight hug and whispering in her ear.

"Be nice to her."

She pulled back with a warning glance and Aubrey rolled her eyes playfully. "Get out ginger." She said and gave Chloe a light shove toward the door.

Beca looked after her with panic stricken eyes.

She moved to get off of the opposite side of the bed than where Aubrey was standing.

"Beca, stay, please." Aubrey said and she stopped, looking toward Chloe who had turned to see Beca half way off the bed. She smiled understandingly and walked back over.

"It's okay," she whispered taking Becas face in her hands. The smaller girls eyes darted to the right to see Aubrey watching them.

"Becs, look at me." She said. When her dark blue eyes finally met Chloes she continued. "She isn't going to hurt you Beca." She said. "I care about you, and she did just walk in on us kissing, so it obvious we have something between us. She just wants to talk to you, as my best friend its kind of her job." She said and close the distance, capturing her lips in light kiss.

Stacie walked in, in that moment and a huge smile appeared on her face.

"Okay?" Chloe asked.

Beca nodded and frowned when Chloe let her go. "Don't pout." Chloe said with a wink and turned toward the door.

She saw Stacies smile and matched it before walking out, Stacie following and closing the door.

"I knew it!" She said proudly. "You two are fucking adorable. But, real fast, before I demand details, what's Bree doing? Beca is like...terrified of her." She said pointing over her shoulder at the door.

Chloe laughed. "Best friend talk. She walked in on us kissing."

Stacie nodded thoughtfully. "Ooh...well, then I guess seeing as you are the technical girlfriend and Aubrey is giving her the speech, I'm her only other friend." She said.

Chloe smiled, and it instantly fell when Stacies took her arm and turned her, trapping her against the wall her face turned almost threatening.

Chloe knew what was coming, and though she was a little intimidated by the taller girl, she couldn't help but respect her for taking this on.

"We are all very aware of Becas situation, you more than I, but still...Chloe, I don't care if you are closer to her than I am, I don't care if I've only known her a short time. If you hurt her in anyway, I promise you, I will make you wish you were never born. She has way to much going on, and I can see how much she trusts you. Don't ruin that, don't fuck with her... Or I will ruin YOU." She emphasized the last word with a poke to Chloes chest.

She thought that she would be able to smile and say of course she wouldn't hurt her. But the seriousness in Stacies voice, proved that she wasn't just doing this because Aubrey was. She meant it.

"I would never intentionally hurt her, Stacie. Ever. I promise to do my best to never hurt her even accidentally." She said honestly.

Stacie stared her down for a second before her face relaxed and she smiled. "I know, Chlo." She said softly. Chloe smiled back relaxing.

"Come on, Bree left me hanging and I don't understand your freakishly organized kitchen." She said and head off toward the room in question.

Chloe looked toward the bedroom. Hoping Aubrey was being nice.

"Beca, it's okay, just sit down." Aubrey urged.

She shook her head. "No, I'm okay right here." She said. Still standing in the same place on the other side of the bed where Chloe left her.

"Didnt you hear her? I'm not going to hurt you, Beca."

She nodded. "Did you?" She asked. "Cause you just walked in on me kissing your best friend, and I'm pretty positive you hate me, so Im really okay over here."

Aubrey rolled her eyes. "So dramatic." She sighed.

"Fine. But first, I'm pretty sure she was kissing you. You were totally pinned. Which with Chloe, is how you will probably stay. She likes to take charge." She said as if she were explaining Chloe to her. "And I don't hate you. I'm just very...protective of Chloe. I've seen her heart broken more times than I should have to count, and putting it back together is not a fun time. I just want to be sure you realize that if Chloe is kissing you, she wants you for more than just a kiss here and there."

Becas eyes grew and she looked nervous. Aubrey realized how that must have sounded and quickly spoke. "No, I don't mean she's only going to want sex, I mean...she is going to want to go out, and show you off, and do things together. She's going to want to cuddle with you, all. The. Time." She emphasized. "I know you are more of the, stay inside for months on end type, and that just won't work if you are going to be with her, I just need to be sure you know this." She said.

Beca looked down. She hadn't considered that. But, with Chloe it didn't sound all that bad. And she knew if she couldn't handle certain things, Chloe wouldn't push her. She had been very understanding so far, why should that change?

She looked up and nodded. "I understand. And, I'll do my best to always be what she needs. She is very special girl and I Love-" she stopped her eyes growing.

Aubreys eyes grew too. "Don't you dare." She warned standing up. "Beca that is not a word used lightly around Chloe, you can't just say it, you can't abuse it."

Beca shook her head. "I wouldn't...I won't." She said sternly.

"I-... I do though." She looked up at the blonde. "I love her, Aubrey. That has to be what this feeling is." She couldn't believe what she was saying. She confessing her love to some one that wasn't the person she should be telling.

Aubrey gave a look that told her it was okay to continue. "I feel safe with her, and like I can be who I am and she won't judge me. I want to know everything about her, I want her to know that when I look at her, my heart flutters, and that I have never felt like this before. I feel free." She said. She was no longer looking at Aubrey and Aubrey had slowly sat back down.

"Chloe is...I know we haven't known each other for long but..Chloe is home." She said.

"Yeah, that's it." She said, mostly to herself as if she just solved a great mystery.

She looked at Aubrey with excited eyes. "Chloe is my home." She said.

Aubrey couldn't help the smile that spread across her face at the expression on Becas. And she knew she was telling the truth.

"Good." She said calmly. "I trust you with her, Becs." She said.

Beca looked up at the use of the nickname coming from Aubrey as well as her words.

"I will do my best to alway take care of her. As much as I can." Beca said.

Aubrey nodded and stood up. "Thank you. You are a good person."

"You too." Beca smiled.

"So, um, how are you?" Aubrey asked a little more cautiously.

"I'm okay." Beca answered right away. "Thank you for being there and for helping me."

"of course." Aubrey smiled. "I've grown to like you." She said. "That being said, I'm kind of the only one allowed to pick on you." She winked as she stood up and headed to the door.

Beca laughed and followed her.

They made it to the kitchen just as Chloe tore open a bag of pasta and the noodles flew everywhere. In that same moment, Stacie stepped forward, slipped on the spilled pasta noodles and dropped the pan of sauce everywhere.

Beca covered her mouth to stop from laughing and Chloe and Stacie looked up guiltily as Aubrey turned a weird shade of green.

"Oh my god, get OUT of my kitchen!"
