"Mommy, what if this is like Atlanta?" Aidan asked as he sat in the bed. Charlotte was worrying about the exact same thing. "What if we get taken over…I…I don't wanna have to leave again…What if I can't? And—"

"Shh, baby. It'll be okay," Charlotte kissed his head. "Your dad and Uncle Rick will keep us safe, okay?" She was capable of keeping herself protected, but they were out there, and she was just trying to make him feel better.

"What if they don't, what then? Are we gonna die?"

"No baby we—" A gun shot in the distance made Charlotte freeze completely. They only used guns if there were a lot of walkers…She reached for her gun, but quickly realized that she didn't have one any more. Hershel told them that they weren't allowed to have them on his farm.

"Oh God, it's—" Andrea came running in to the house.

"Where's Hershel?"

"What happened?" Charlotte asked.

"Where's Hershel!?" she asked again.

"I don't know!"

She ran thought the house and a few seconds later, Rick and Shane came in more or less carrying Daryl.

"Oh my God…" Charlotte rushed over to them, realizing it was Daryl that had been shot, not a walker. Hershel came out and directed them of where to bring the now shot Daryl. She followed them to the bedroom. "I can stitch him up if you give me the supplies…" She offered to Hershel. She wanted to do it herself...She couldn't help Aidan because she wasn't really experienced with surgery, but this she could do. Hershel nodded and left before coming back with the supplies that she would need.

"Hey Dad?" Aidan asked.

"What is it, little man?" Shane asked. They were in the room Aidan had been staying in since they got at the farm. Lori, Carol, and Maggie were cooking for the group in the kitchen and Charlotte was still in the room with Daryl.

"Are we ever going to find a place that's safe…Where we can be happy again?"

"I'm gonna promise you something, Aidan, I'm gonna promise you that some way, somehow, I'm gonna find some place where we don' have to worry 'bout bein' attacked by walkers or any of that stuff. Ya an' yer sister 're gonna be happy again if it's the last thing that I ever do."

"Dinner's done," Carol said quietly.

"I'll get ya some food an' come in an' eat with ya," Shane said, licking his lips before getting up and going to the kitchen. When he walked in, Lori was glaring daggers at him. He just rolled his eyes and began making two plates.

"You may want to tell your wife to come eat," she mumbled, annoyance still clear in her tone.

"Charlotte is my ex-wife, Lori. You know that. She has nothing to do with the fact that your husband is here and you chose him over me."

"Well…I changed my mind."

"So did I," Shane replied. "We're done, Lori. We're over. Done. That's the end of it."

"I'm pregnant," she confessed. "And it's yours."

"You sure 'bout that?" He didn't let the shock or the fear creep onto his face. He knew it was most likely his but…He didn't know if he could believe that she was even pregnant. When Rick threatened to divorce her once, she had told him the exact same thing. So rather than letting it bother him right now, he grabbed the two plates and went back to sit by Aidan. "I'm gonna go tell yer mom to get somethin' to eat, I'll be right back." Shane hurried up the stairs and knocked on the door with Charlotte and Daryl inside. She called for him to come in.

"Hey," she said softly. She was in a chair beside a sleeping Daryl in the dimly lit bedroom.

"Hey, dinner's ready."

"Okay, thank you, Shane," she replied. "How's Aidan? I know he was worried earlier."

"Jus' like everybody else, he wants some place safe to live an' be a kid 'gain."

Charlotte nodded and touched Daryl's arm before going with Shane out of the room.

"How's he doin'?" Shane asked, gesturing towards the room they just left.

"As good as somebody can be that just got shot, I guess…He's slept mostly. By the way…Who shot him?"

"Andrea. She thought he was a walker and…"

"That irresponsible—"

"She's already beatin' herself up 'bout it…"

"Shane, what if that would've been Aidan or Carl out there being kids? Grace even? I mean hell, I'm not just pissed that it was Daryl, but if she had any better aim, she would've killed them. We're lucky she can't shoot for shit."

"I know and I'm gonna be takin' people out for gun trainin' tomorrow."

"Well they need to learn gun safety first! Jesus! What did we teach Grace when she first started shooting?"

"Always be sure of what you're shootin' at. I taught you the same thing."

"That's ridiculous."

"Alright, do you need anything before I go?" Charlotte asked. She and Daryl had eaten their food in his room and she had been up there ever since. But now, she needed to go to sleep so that she could be energized in the morning.

"No," Daryl replied.

"Okay, I'll be right down stairs with Aidan," she said. "Be careful not to toss and turn too much, I don't want you to rip out your stitches." Daryl nodded. "I'll see you in the morning. Shane's planning on taking people out for gun training."

"Yer goin'?"

"I hadn't planned on it…Grace knows how and he's just going to be teaching Aidan…I figure they want to have some father son time anyway…" she trailed off, unsure of why he wanted to know anyway.

"Think I can move back to my tent 'morrow, doc?" Daryl asked, a small smile barely creeping onto his face.

"Hmm, I'll see what we can do." She had the urge to walk back over to him and kiss him, but she decided against it and went down stairs.

"Hey mom," Aidan smiled from his place in the bed. "Are you here to tuck me in?" It was only then that she noticed Shane in the chair that she had been sleeping in.

"Um, well I was gonna sleep down here," she said nervously. "But of course I'll tuck you in," she walked over to the bed and tucked the covers tightly around him and kissed his forehead. "I love you, sweetheart."

"I love you too, mommy," he smiled.

"Have you seen your sister anywhere?"

"Grace went out to bed," Shane elaborated. "If you wanna sleep in here I can—"

"No, that's okay. I just don't have a tent set up yet; I've slept in here every night."

"Grace's in my tent, you can sleep there," Shane offered. Charlotte nodded and kissed Aidan's forehead once again before leaving. When she walked into Shane's tent with her sleeping bag, she noticed Grace already asleep.

"Dad," but of course, Charlotte had to nearly fall and wake her up.

"No, it's me. Your dad's in the house with Aidan," Charlotte replied.

"Oh…"

"I haven't seen you all day. We've you been?"

"Josh and I went out to look for Sophia…Where have you been? I didn't see you at dinner."

"I was upstairs with Daryl. Andrea shot him…I was keeping him company."

"Oh were you?" Charlotte could hear the grin in her daughter's voice. "Wait, where did Andrea shoot him, and how did that even happen?"

"She grazed his head. She thought he was a walker when he was coming from the woods…Everybody told her not to shoot, but she did it anyway! That's why me and your dad always taught you to be—"

"Sure of your target," Grace finished for her.

"Exactly. Come on though, let's get some sleep."

"Okay…"

While everybody else was at gun training, Charlotte helped Daryl move back into his tent. She knew that he wasn't comfortable sleeping inside the house anyway. Daryl lay down on his cot as soon as they got in there, given that he was having some difficulty even standing. "Now, you get some sleep," Charlotte told him as she started to walk out.

"Wait a minute, c'mere," he mumbled. Charlotte slowly made her way back over to him.

"What?"

"Can ya check the bandage on my head?" he asked. She had literally just put a fresh one on his head before they left the house. But, she humored him anyway and leaned in to check the bandage. Not much to her surprise, he captured her lips with his own. She smiled into the kiss, happy that it was him that kissed her this time. His hands took the sides of her face and pulled her a little closer to him. Before things could get too intimate, Charlotte pulled away and took a step back.

"I'll be in later to check on you," she said before hurrying out of the tent. She didn't want things to go too far while he was still injured. She didn't want to mess up the stitches that she'd so carefully put in his skin. She was still pleasantly surprised that he was kissing her first now. Daryl had somehow changed since their first kiss together; Charlotte couldn't deny that she liked this change, though.

"Do you think that you could teach me how to shoot?" Nora asked Shane quietly as they stood out in the middle of the empty field.

"'Course," he said with a smile. "It's easy, really. Ya jus' like it up and shoot." He pulled out a light gun and handed it to her. She was a rather skinny woman and kind of short too, she barely reached his shoulder, so he figured that she would need a much lighter gun. "Here."

She accepted the gun and tried to get used to the weight in her hands. "Okay, now what do I do?" she asked. He took a step towards her and showed her how to aim and told her to aim for one of the glass bottles.

"That was close," she had just barely missed the bottle. "Now adjust your aim an' you'll get it." After a few more tries, she had nearly mastered it. "Yer a quick learner, but ya've gotta try to bed yer elbows. Don' fully extend yer arms in front of you, yer shot'll be better if ya don'."

"Thank you so much," Nora said with a smile. "Will you teach my daughter, Suri as well?" she asked. He nodded, knowing that now it was important to know how to shoot. He had already taught Aidan today and he was doing great. He was a natural, much like Grace was the first time she had shot a gun.

AN: Sorry, I didn't know where to end this…Please review :)

Who watched last night's episode? It was so awesome! I was shocked but I just like wanted to celebrate! And was it just me or was Rick kinda pathetic in his battle with the Governor? He's supposed to be tough! Maybe it's just me, but I think that pretty much anybody else would've been more useful...
