AN: I'll be updating once every other day so I have time to write longer chapters. Now that there's a new conflict (on the rise at least) I'll be getting into more action.
Now I present you all with the twenty first chapter.
(Leia POV)
It seemed like everything was going to be okay. My family was back together, there were no more unusual medical situations, Han and I were doing awesome; but nothing lasts forever. As we set up a team to go investigate what was happening on Dathomir, there was a voice in my head that kept saying 'If you let him go he might not come back the same'. Him? Who was the 'him'? I've kind of surrounded myself with only 'hims', until Mara came, for the last few years. Nevertheless, it disturbed me to the core.
Of course, they were sending the trained force users to handle it, and since news had gotten around that I was a Skywalker, I was coming too. And when one person goes, the whole crew come with.
So there we were, all crammed into the cock-pit of the Falcon. The addition of my father and Mara made it more crowded than ever. One more person and we'd all be claustrophobic messes. The light-hearted atmosphere from earlier had dissipated, we were all business.
Suddenly, my head throbbed intensely. Luke, Mara, and my father seemed to have felt it too. There was a burst of the most terrible, negative thing I'd ever felt. I heard a thud sound, and turned to see the chosen one had collapsed.
"Father, what was that?" Luke asked.
His eyes were an emotional whirlpool as he said, "that's how the last twenty years of my life have been."
"If you're familiar with it, then why did it shock you so much?" I questioned. The dark side was so confusing!
"Cause it wasn't me," he replied quietly, "there's another. And they've announced their existence. Meaning they plan to strike."
Han turned around in the pilots seat and exclaimed, "WHAT?! And I thought dealing with you when you were all dark was bad! No offense Anakin. You were an unwilling victim. Now we've got some guy who's doing this willingly?!"
"I'm afraid so," Luke said grimly, "unlike how it was with my father, I can't find light buried in his presence."
I hate to say it, but I scared of what was to come. I'd only heard my father's horror stories of Palpatine, I didn't think I was ready to actually FACE a pure Sith.
No words were needed to convey our feelings. There was no real way of knowing what was in store for us. As the Falcon landed, we all grabbed a weapon. Only the force knows what could be here. Anakin went out first, a new blue lightsaber in one hand, his red blade in the other. After doing a little looking around, he signaled for us to follow.
"This place looks like-" Han began.
"Have you BEEN to Mustafar Han?" Anakin asked, "Compared to that volcano, this is a magical fairy land."
We advanced cautiously, Anakin leading the way. "They're very far from here," he said, "this'll be a long walk."
"State the obvious," Mara muttered.
"Look on the bright side," Luke said, "we haven't been attacked yet."
"True," Mara said.
"It won't be true for long knowing this place," Anakin informed us, "so enjoy it while it lasts. I used to know someone who came from here, and she was something."
Made sense, he knew someone from everywhere. We walked on more, and then I heard two objects fall to the ground.
"No way."
AN: I know this one was really short, and I'm really sorry. The next one will have much more action, I promise
