Chapter 20:

Rabbitpaw whipped her head to see Brownkit running over to her.
"Rabbitpaw your back!" He cried. Brownkit had doubled in size since last time she saw him, strong muscles poked out of his back.

"Oh great, the flea bag is back." Ivypaw muttered from the side of the clearing.
"What?" Mousestar emerged from his den and then narrowed his eyes when he caught a glance at Rabbitpaw.
"Why are you back?" He hissed. Rabbitpaw was taken aback. He said she could some back in one moon!
"You said I can come back." She said boldly. Dawnpetal came next to Mousestar and whispered something in his ear.

"Fine, whatever, you may stay." Mousestar grumbled. "I have my eyes on you."

"Rabbitpaw!" Redspirit emerged from a clump of ferns and rubbed her cheek against her flank. "It's so nice to have you back."
"What happened when I was gone?" Rabbitpaw asked. Noticing all the cats eyes on her.

"I became a apprentice! I am now named Brownpaw!" Brownpaw mewed.
"And all the apprentices became warriors and are now named Ivyfrost, Smokefoot, Fireblaze, Heatherdawn, and Birdstripe." Redspirit rattled off all the names. "Also, Goldenfeather is now in the nursery, going to bear Weaselfoot's kits. She announced it yesturday. I can't help but feel sorry for the kits..." Rabbitpaw was overwhelmed by everything that happened.
"I cannot believe Mousestar let you in after you attacked me." Ivyfrost sneered. Rabbitpaw rolled her eyes. "Rabbit-brain!" She meowed.
"I wonder when you will receive your warrior name." Brownpaw said happily.
"Hopefully soon." Rabbitpaw replied. She hoped so. If she never got her warrior name she couldn't get her revenge because everyone always watches apprentices more then warriors!

"Rabbitpaw you are now Rabbitstrike!" Mousestar called down at her. Rabbitstrike glanced at Redspirit and Brownpaw, who were cheering from down below. Jaymist let out a small cry and the other cats just whispered things to each other.
Rabbitstrike felt a flash of anger. They had no proper respect! She had re-joined WindClan a half-moon ago and Mousestar finally gave Rabbitstrike her warrior name a few moments ago.
"Great StarClan! Mousestar is stupid letting Rabbitstrike join the Clan again, and to give her a warrior name!" Owlfeather said to himself. Rabbitstrike ignored him. He was to old to waste her time on.

"Well, your name is better then mine." Redspirit told her as she came to meet them.

"Are you kidding?! Mine doesn't sound scary at all!" Rabbitpaw said sharply.
"I don't even have a warrior name." Brownpaw mumbled.
"Yeah, also because your weak!" Smokefoot interjected, padding over to them.

"No one asked you to come over here!" Brownpaw said bravely.

"Who asked you mousy? Your hardly even a kit out of the nursery!" Smokefoot hissed.
Rabbitpaw made the fur along her spine rise. How dare he say that about her friend? A growl rose in her throat.

"Come back later! Fox-dung!" Brownpaw retorted. Rabbitstrike stared at her friend surprised. Since when has he grown so brave? A lot must have happened when she was gone.

"I know you may think that now that you are back in camp that you can fight again, well, I will be watching you closer then any other cat. One bad move and your gone." Smokefoot hissed into Rabbitstrike's ear. Then he walked away, his tail held high in the air.
"He is so full of himself." Brownpaw shook his head sadly. Rabbitstrike agreed.
"We are being attacked!" A voice rang out into the clearing. Rabbitstrike turned around to see Cherryfrost dash into the clearing, a cut sliced her shoulder and a chunk of her fur was missing.
"What happened?" Dawnpetal demanded.
"The RiverClan warriors! They are invading for more prey! They outnumber us! Help!" Cherryfrost screeched she then slumped to the ground.
"Skyheart!" Whitesnow called. Skyheart emerged from the medicine cat den, numerous herbs dangled from his jaws. He put a paw to the she-cat's chest.

"She is in shock." Skyheart concluded. Rabbitstrike stared at her. What happened out there?
"We must bring an patrol to help the others. Dawnpetal shall lead it, take Smokefoot, Jaymist, Whitesnow, Heatherdawn...and Rabbitstrike." Mousestar emerged from his den, he had been listening the whole time. Rabbitstrike jumped up and down. This was going to be exiting! Her first battle!
"Great, your in the Clans for only a few days and are already accepted to go into battle?" Smokefoot complained. Rabbitstrike ignored him.

"Let's go." Dawnpetal flicked her tail for them to know they were leaving. Rabbitstrike followed the deputy out of camp with the others and headed for the RiverClan border. Rabbitstrike felt her heart thump hard in her chest. What if she messed up the moves she learned? What if she died? She took a deep breath. They were nearing the place where Cherryfrost said the battle was. Soon, cats wails drifted toward them. The smell of blood hung in the air.

They trudged past the first hill to see fighting everywhere. Cats were hissing and clawing each other, showing no mercy.
"Attack!" Dawnpetal yowled and Rabbitstrike raced down and immediately attacked a tom that had Goldenfeather screeching to be let go. The tom was big and powerful, bigger then most cats. He was super slow. RiverClan cats are to slow to do anything! Rabbitstrike snickered as she gave his flank a big gash. He left and howled as he ran back to his territory.
"Thanks-" Goldenfeather noticed Rabbitstrike was the one who saved her and narrowed her eyes. "I could have done it myself! Even though I may be expecting kits doesn't make me worthless." She huffed, her belly swayed to the ground. Her kits could have been in danger if it wasn't for her! Rabbitstrike rolled her eyes.

"ThunderClan! Attack WindClan!" Rabbitstrike froze. ThunderClan cats raced into their territory and started to attack her allies.
"For StarClans sake! All this over territory? Smokefoot ask help from ShadowClan." Dawnpetal winced as she said she needed help from their biggest enemies. Smokefoot opened his mouth in protest but snapped it shut and hared across the moor, dashing along the boundary to get to ShadowClan. They will never get here in time! Rabbitstrike thought as she attacked a silver she-cat. They tussled for a moment before Rabbitstrike beat her. Around her, Heatherdawn was attacking a two cats at once. Rabbitstrike

took a deep breath and started to help her until a dark cat walked out. He was quite small, yet an apprentice. He looked way to small to be fighting.
"Get out of my way!" Rabbitstrike hissed at her.
"No." She said firmly and leaped. She leaped under her, hooking a tendon on her leg, leaving Rabbitstrike to fall. Rabbitstrike tried to rise to her paws but she leaped on top of her.

"This what happens when you mess with a Dark Forest cat!"
