"That's a wrap!" The director shouted through the megaphone he held in hand.
Naruto wiped off the sweat on his neck with a handkerchief one of the assistants on the production had handed him. This movie he was working on was a big break for him, it was his transition into the acting world after a few years of having worked on stage plays and some small time productions.
The movie was based on a popular action manga that had suddenly exploded in popularity. Everywhere he went he found bookstores and smaller shops selling copies of the manga, which were flying off the shelves as quickly as the stores could restock them. Fans of the manga were overjoyed when they heard that a movie was in the works for the first half of the manga series. The manga titled: Tales of the Lone Ninja, was a series about a young boy who was persecuted by his entire village after a devastating attack nearly 12 years ago that decimated half of the village and saw to the death of the 4th village leader by a demon fox. It was a harrowing tale of the young boys rise to overcome the persecution he had faced at the hand of the villagers after having the demon fox sealed inside of him.
Naruto handed off the used handkerchief to another assistant that was running past him. His stomach grumbled in hunger and he eyed the craft services table1 with an eye of desire. He took a deep breath as his mouth watered, he could smell the pizza from all the way over here, but he needed to go to makeup to get the elaborate seal on his stomach taken off. He groaned, as this task was the most annoying part of his day. It had taken the makeup team several hours to paint the seal onto his stomach, let it set and dry and then go over it with a layer of powder to make sure it was sealed for the day, not to mention the constant touching up they had to do whenever he had to do a shirtless shot. It was time consuming and he heard that the makeup's team was designing an alternative— an adhesive version of the seal that could easily be applied to Naruto's stomach transferred on with water and then wiped off at the end of the day. It cut the application process time in half and was something that was much needed as the production was several days behind already.
As Naruto walked to the makeup trailer, he passed by Orochimaru who was still in full makeup and costume. He nodded at the actor who was in conversation with Kakashi. Naruto's stomach growled loudly again, he groaned as he pressed a hand to his stomach. He was a few feet away from the makeup trailer when he saw Sakura. He could feel his cheeks heat up as he lifted his hand to call out to her. She didn't seem him as he was currently being blocked by several people standing in front of him. It seemed like she was talking to someone, but he couldn't tell who it was. He watched as Sakura laughed, looked around and walked towards the general direction of the bathrooms. If he was lucky enough, he could catch up to her and try and talk to her before she got to the bathrooms.
He speed walked towards the bathrooms in a hurry; catching sight of Sakura's bubblegum pink hair. His mouth was open wide to call out her name, but he quickly closed it when he saw Sasuke as well. The two of them disappeared into the female bathroom. Naruto was confused as he just witnessed his two crushes going into the bathroom together. At the staff meeting this morning, many of the crew had complained about someone treating the bathrooms as their love hotel and that the janitorial staff was getting fed up at having to clean any messes left behind. Naruto wondered if Sakura and Sasuke had anything to do with this and bit his bottom lip as he mischievously eyed the bathroom door.
He decided to throw caution to the wind like the character he was playing and looked down and up the hall before tiptoeing towards the bathroom door and slowly opening it. The door glided open without so much as a sound and Naruto peered into the bathroom. It seemed that Sakura and Sasuke were in one of the stalls. He tiptoed his way to the unoccupied stall next to theirs. He could hear them talking.
"Wow!" He heard Sakura exclaim. "Sasuke that is so…huge!"
He heard Sasuke scoff, "I know. That's what Itachi said as well."
Naruto raised a brow. What was going on? And why was Sasuke's brother involved in it?
"I'm just hoping Kakashi likes it," Sasuke continued.
He could almost imagine Sakura rolling her eyes from the sound of her voice. "It's Kakashi. If he doesn't like it there's something wrong with him. I know that if it was me…I definitely would love it. I'm sure anyone would really. I mean it's just so big!" Naruto's mouth dropped to the floor at Sakura's exclamation again. He definitely knew they weren't talking about something that was safe for work. He decided to peer over the divider between the stalls to get a good look at them. As he was attempting to stand up on the toilet seat, his stomach growled again. The noise bounced off the walls and filled the suddenly quite space of the bathroom. He could feel two pairs of eyes glaring holes into his skin.
An embarrassed smile stretched across his lips as a single sweat drop rolled down his cheek. He looked up into Sasuke and Sakura's eyes. "Hey you two! I thought this was the men's bathroom?"
"Naruto!" Sakura screamed as fire blazed in her eyes.
A severe punch to the stomach later and a video recording of Naruto getting chased down the studio halls by Sakura— that somehow ended up on Youtube. Naruto was definitely certain it was all Sasuke's fault— Naruto learned that Sasuke and Sakura were definitely not enjoying each other's company in the bathroom or panning on giving Kakashi the same treatment, but talking about a surprise birthday party they were planning to throw for him, that it somehow seemed everyone in the cast and crew was aware about except for Naruto. And the gift they were planning to give him which was a life sized pug plushy. Sasuke never let him live the event down, but he was grateful that out of the entire event he managed to get both Sasuke and Sakura's phone numbers and a promise to go out for drinks.
A new chapter is up! After being away from this site for so long, I decided to return and start posting more on here. I now have an Ao3 account where I post original content on there and a Wattpad too, where I'm working on an original novel. I also updated my profile as well, with new tidbits of information and guidelines as well that I drew up after some incidents. So feel free to check out all of those!
I also wanted to hear your guys input on a few things! I still want to continue on with a special collaboration chapter that was originally planned for this fic, but I never got any input on. So if you guys would like to see a special collaboration chapter of sorts, feedback would be great.
