I walked down the main staircase of the hotel that our prom was being held in. Us girls decided to get dressed here after our hair and makeup appointments and to save money on a limo the guys were just going to meet us in the lobby. I scanned the area and noticed right away that Tony standing at the bottom of the stairs. We walked up and he quickly embraced Sydney then whispered something in her ear which caused her to giggle.
"You ladies look beautiful" He said after turning to Tori and I, keeping an arm around Sydney.
We smiled but they were short lived when we realized he was alone. "Where are the guys?" Tori questioned as I looked around, scanning every inch for that familiar blonde mop.
His face drooped a little and he held Sydney closer. "They, had to um..take care of something. But, don't worry they should be back any minute." He said, trying to give a reaffirming smile.
I felt a pit slightly grow in my stomach as I looked to Tori. "I forgot my necklace in the room, mind coming with me?"
She smiled and nodded. We waved goodbye to the happy couple and started to walk back up to the room.
A few steps away she finally spoke. "Where do you think the boys are?"
"I don't know, but for some reason those two always wander off at the worse times" I said, adding a laugh.
"Yeah, so did you actually forget your necklace or are you just giving us something to do other than sit there with the lovebirds?"
I let out another laugh, "That obvious?"
"So, when are you going to tell Austin about Berklee?"
"Never"
"Als, that is a great program! You have to tell him." We stopped at the door and pulled my arm away from the lock. "Ally, I'm serious."
"Look, if I tell him he is going to make me go...and I just don't think I could do that. Its a 4 hour flight from Berklee to Notre Dame. We've never been that far apart before and if I don't have to I don't want to."
"Ally you have to at least tell him if you don't and he finds out he is going to be beyond pissed."
"But why, it's my decision?!" I raised my voice and she took a slight step back.
"Because he is you're boyfriend, you guys are always saying how you are a team. Well, you making that big of a decision without him is going to upset him and most likely put some doubt in him about your relationship. How would you feel if it was the other way around?"
I let out a sigh of defeat. "I guess you're right. But it can wait till after prom."
She smiled in victory, how is it that she always is right about these things? I unlocked the door and let us both into Austin and I's room for the night. I looked over the bed and noticed a suitcase that wasn't there when we left. Tori and I shared a look before Austin and Scott emerged from the bathroom.
"Tori is gonna love it, now we just have to-" Their voices caught in their throats as our eyes met, hands quickly shooting behind their backs and they both let out a scream.
"Wha-what are you girls doing here? I thought you went downstairs already…" Scott trailed off, while Austin sat there with this mesmerized look on his face.
**AUSTIN'S POV**
There she was, in her red, full length dress. It was a sweetheart neckline that had a beaded bust then flowed out. There was a slit up the side of the chiffon that showed just enough leg to drive me wild. Her makeup was done to perfection making her brown eyes pop, her longer ombre hair pulled into a low, messy bun/updo with a few pieces falling around her face. She was glowing. I traced her face with my eyes then slowly moved down every curve and inch of her body. She looked stunning, absolutely stunning. But, this wasn't supposed to happen this way, no. We were supposed to meet them downstairs in the lobby, holding flowers and a corsage. Not holding a box of rose petals that were not to be seen till after prom.
"Austin...Austin!"
"What?" I asked, pulling myself out of my thoughts.
"I said, are we interrupting something?" Ally asked, seeming a little annoyed.
"Uh, kinda..sorry girls it's just a surprise and-"
"Well, it was a surprise" Scott added in.
I sent him a glare and then went to continue to explain but when I looked back they had disappeared behind the door. I let out a breath and then Scott and I started to work overtime on the room. Ally shouldn't have to wait, if only she didn't have to get ready in our room.
After a few minutes the room was ready and Scott and I grabbed the corsages. We were ready to start sprinting to the elevator but two figures leaning against the wall stopped us. Their eyes both fixed on the ground, holding a blank expression. Both with boutonnieres in their small, fragile hands. As the door slammed closed Tori brought up her gaze to Scott and he sent her a nervous smile. He took her hand and they walked ahead. Leaving me and Ally alone. I walked closer to her cautiously, waiting for her to blow up or worse break down. She still had yet to meet my eyes, to tear hers from the ground. I slowly reached out to touch her hand. She flinched at the new contact, or was it the shock waves she always told me I gave her? Her eyes finally lifted from the carpet and met mine. I expected sadness or disappointment, but that I did not find.
"Sorry for ruining the surprise" She offered with a small smile and a blush.
I smiled back and took her hand fully into mine. "Believe me, you didn't ruin it. The best part is still to come." I winked and she blushed.
She held up the boutonniere and I straightened a little to allow her to put it on. She put it on flawlessly but to lighten the mood I gasped, pretending to be stuck by the needle.
Her hands recoiled at the speed of lightening and she brought them to her mouth. "Did I stick you?"
I laughed, "No, I was kidding"
Her faced changed and she smacked my arm "You suck, I wish I did now!"
I held up the corsage box and she held out her hand. I removed it from it's box and slid it onto her wrist. She smiled when I finished and then brought me into a hug. Mumbling an 'I'm sorry'
I pulled back and shook my head. "Come on we have a prom to get to!"
She smiled wide and squeezed my hand, before letting go to pick up some of her dress. "RACE YA!" she shouted before taking off to the elevator.
I just smiled and shook my head before catching up to her. God, did I love her.
ALLY'S POV:
"May I have this dance?" A familiar deep voice asked.
I looked up to see his hand extended and a cheesy smile on his face.
"Gee, I don't know. My boyfriend might get jealous." I giggled.
"Really now? All the better reason to dance with me" He winked and I took his hand.
He led us to the dance floor and we began to slowly move in unison. I loved the way our bodies formed as one. Neither of us spoke, just enjoyed each others presence. Prom was going amazing, luckily we didn't arrive too late since people were still pouring in long after we got to our table. Everyone looked beautiful too, I had gotten pictures with everyone. Trish, Cassidy, and Kira were all at our table too with their dates. We spent a while talking and catching up since it had been a while since we hung out, due to our crazy schedules and lives. Austin and I danced a few times before this but they were all to fast paced songs, this was the first slow one. Dinner had just ended and they were serving dessert.
The night was winding down, and all I was thankful for was there wasn't an after prom that I would have to attend. I knew what was waiting for me in that room, and to be honest I was excited to say the least. Austin and I had only 'done the deed' once before and it was amazing, but we just never took it that far again. I must say it worried me at first, was I bad? Did he not like me? Did he not like it? Then he told me that he wanted to wait for the perfect moment, since last time it was out of sexual frustration. He told me he loved me and wanted to make it the best.
"So, do you think this boyfriend of yours would mind if I stole you away for the night?" He breathed into my ear as the song came to an end.
"I'm not sure, wanna take the risk?" I smirked.
He nodded and we returned to the table. I made up some lame excuse that I'm sure they could all read through but I didn't care. Let them think, I'm going to act. I grabbed my things and met Austin at the exit. He pulled me in close with his one arm and leaned his lips close to my ear.
"Ready?"
My breathing hitched in my throat. "mhm" I strained out.
"Good, because you may look amazing in that dress but I just can't wait to see what's under it." He smirked sexily, as we walked out.
I felt my heart leap and my palms began to sweat. Austin, obviously noticed since my hand was in his and he pulled me closer.
"Nervous?" I just simply nodded. "Don't be. And don't feel like you have to do this, I don't want you doing anything you're not comfortable with. Tonight is your night" He flashed a smile as we entered the elevator.
"I want this" I said as I leaned up to kiss his lips softly. "More than anything else"
He looked down with a loving smile on his face, our gaze not breaking until the ding and the opening of the doors. Neither of us moving though.
"And you're ok not going slow?" He winked, with a sexy smirk.
I mustered up all my courage, and decided to reply back with something he wouldn't see coming. "If I wanted to go slow I would have taken the stairs…." He smiled, but I wasn't done. "And wore underwear" This time I winked and he rose his eyebrow, almost challenging my statement.
"Seriously?" He asked in disbelief.
"Only one way to find out..huh?" I smirked.
He grabbed my hand and dragged me to our room. While he frantically searched for his keycard, I pulled mine out swiftly and unlocked the door. Our eyes met and continued to stay connected as the door swung open and bounced off the wall from contact. His eyes moved from my eyes to my lips and as if reading my mind he pressed his lips against mine. His lips sent a message of passion and desire. He wrapped his arms around my waist and lifted me up. I wrapped arms around his neck and my legs around his waist, causing my dress to ride up. Honestly though, I didn't care one bit because this was happening. He moved us over the threshold and slammed the door shut before pressing me against it. After both of us were out of breath he moved to my neck and I caught a glimpse of the room behind us.
It was beautiful. Rose petals scattered everywhere, candles that I assumed were fake because they had that fake flicker to them. None the less they were still perfect. Next I spotted a bouquet of red flowers, such as tulips and roses and pansies and a few more. It was almost identical to the one he got me last summer when he planned that perfect date to ask me out.
I missed those days, the good ole ones where our relationship was easy and new. When I could wake up every morning in his arms and not have to worry about when I would see him next or how long we would be apart. Before all the drama and hardships of a long distance relationship. But I wouldn't change it for the world because I had him and all those things made us, us.
I was pulled out of my thoughts when Austin stopped and pulled back. I met his eyes, which seemed confused and worried.
"Als, are you sure you want this? I don't-"
I pressed my lips to his quickly before pulling away. "I told you I did, why won't you believe me?"
"It's just, you seem not here.."
My face softened "I was reminiscing, I saw the room and the flowers and it took me back to last summer. If anything I want this more now than before"
He smiled and I pressed back onto his lips, but only for a short, reassuring kiss. Kind of to seal the deal before moving my lips to his collar bone and trailing up to his jawline. This was his weakness and I knew it. Within seconds he let out a moan and we moved to the bed where he laid me down under him. He pressed kisses all of my face and neck before stopping inches from my lips. Teasing me to no extent.
"I love you Als."
"I love you too Austin"
He smiled into the kiss as I lifted a little to meet his lips.
"Always" He spoke between kisses. "Forever" Once more he paused, only this time meeting my eyes that were now open.
He seemed choked up, so I spoke up in no more than a whisper. "And no matter what."
Sorry for all the delays lately! I hope to get back on track soon! Sooo...how about Ally's huge bomb that will probably be dropped next chapter...in case you were wondering it would be for music education. Since she wants to be a teacher and I thought she should do something with music. So I actually haven't decided on whether or not she will actually go to berklee or not yet it might just be a little scare or twist...but you guys should definitely let me know what you think. I am not planning on doing a whole chapter for Austin's prom since I personally want to move on with the story and get to the good stuff, but if enough of you ask for it I will definitely put it in there. Thank you to all my reviewers and readers and I am actually gonna choose one lucky reviewer to get a sneak preview of the next chapter so as long as you end your review with the word 'PROM' you will be entered into the contest. XOXOX
