It had been a month since Bella found out she was pregnant. She loved the idea of becoming a mother. Draco was also doing all he could to start to prepare to become a father.
Today was the next step in their life. Their graduation.
"Bella, stop moving," Hermione screeched, as she curled Bella's hair.
Bella, Hermione, Ginny, Draco, Ron, Luna, Rolf, and Harry were all in the Head's Common Room, getting ready for graduation. (A.N: Bella, Draco, Harry, Hermione, and Ron are graduating with Ginny's year since they came back)
They were all dressed in their Hogwarts robes, with their different Hogwarts crests on them. Bella and Draco had the Head Girl and Head Boy pins clipped on the front of their robes.
The girls had all curled their hair and had put makeup on. The boys had combed their hair and Bella gelled her brother's hair back.
"Leave my hair alone, sis," Harry said to Bella.
"Your hair is insane, it needs to be controlled for graduation," Bella chided and everyone laughed.
"Alright, alright," Harry conceded and let Bella gel his hair.
Rose, Emmett, and Jasper were not in the room because they were only there for protection so they were not graduation and Jasper was not going to graduate again. But they were welcomed to be at the graduation ceremony with the Weasleys.
"Let's go, go, go," Hermione said and pushed everyone out of the room and they walked to the Great Hall.
Luna and Rolf went to sit with their classmates. They sat by last name, so Harry sat with the Ps, and since their names changed, Bella and Draco sat with the Bs. Ginny and Ron sat far away from the rest of their friends, while Hermione sat in between Bella and Draco, and Harry.
Headmistress McGonagall stood up and walked to the podium. She looked over all of the houses and smiled at them.
"Welcome students, today is a very special day for all of you who have worked so hard to complete all 7 or in some cases 8 years of schooling. I will call up each Head of House to present your diplomas to you," Minerva said.
Bella looked at Draco and smiled.
"As Head of House for Gryffindor, I will present the Diplomas for our graduating 7 and 8th years," Minerva said and started to name of students, who had gotten into a long line.
Finally she came to the Bs.
"Draco Black."
Everyone watched as Draco walked up and accepted his diploma, with a handshake from Minerva and received a huge applause from the Weasley family.
"Isabella Black," came the next name from the headmistress' mouth.
Bella also walked up there and received a huge applause from the Weasleys as well.
The rest of the Gryffindors were called up and received their diplomas and went to sit down.
Professor Flitwick handed Luna and Rolf their diplomas.
Professor Sprout handed Hannah Abbot and Susan Bones their diplomas and hugged them.
Finally, Professor Slughorn handed the Slytherins their diplomas and as they walked by the Gryffindor chairs, they glared at Bella and Draco.
When all of the students had graduated, Minerva stood back up.
"Well, this is the end of another year of students, but this time we will not see you again, but you will always be welcomed. We will now have speeches from our Head Boy and Head Girl," she said, as Bella and Draco stood up.
Draco was the first to speak.
"Well, I have to say that I never thought I'd live to see my graduation day. But it feels good to finally be free from school, but now we move on with our lives. We will grow up, get married, have families and eventually, those children will come to Hogwarts. We will never forget the ones we love that we lost, but now is the start of the next step in our lives," Draco said and receive a huge applause from Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw, but not Slytherin.
Bella then walked up and stared at all her friends and classmates. Her eyes momentarily caught Edward and Alice glaring at her, but she looked away and started to speak.
"This is a great feeling to finally have graduated from Hogwarts. But life now starts for us, we have to find jobs, whether we go to the Ministry or work for Aurors or start our own businesses, this is the beginning of our new lives. We don't have to fear Voldemort anymore, so our children will not have to take up the fight, that we inherited from our parents. Our children will live in peace, in a world where I pray and hope that prejudice will not be so strong anymore. I look forward to the next stages in my life and hope that all of you do too," Bella said and she also received a huge applause.
When Minerva signaled, all of the students threw their hats up in the air and screamed in joy.
"Draco, we did it," Bella screamed, as she jumped in her husband's arms and hugged him.
"Yes we did Bells," Draco laughed, as Harry, Ginny, Ron, and Hermione approached them.
"I can't believe school's finally over!" Ron exclaimed, as he, Harry, and Draco patted each other on the back.
"I know," Hermione said, as she stood in an embrace with Ginny and Bella.
"The Weasleys are coming," Draco mentioned and everyone turned to see Molly, Arthur, Bill, Fleur, Charlie, Fred, George, and Mad-Eye coming towards them. Molly was carrying Teddy in her arms.
"Congratulations Bells," Mad-Eye grumbled in a proud voice to his goddaughter.
"Thanks Mad-Eye," Bella said, as Molly pulled her into a hug.
Bella wrapped her arms around the older witch and melted into her embrace. Molly was the closest thing she had to a mother.
"Congrats, Bella," Molly said, as she handed Bella Teddy.
Bella pulled her godson in and Teddy wrapped his small arms around her neck. Draco came around and held Bella and Teddy in his arms, as Molly and the others were congratulating the rest of their friends.
"Don't hog my godson, Bells. Hand him over," Harry said and Bella surrendered.
Teddy reached over and Harry held him in his arms. As Bella was watching, the twins yanked her into the air.
"Fred, George put me down!" Bella screeched at the identical twins.
"Now why-"
"Would we do-"
"That Bells," the twins said in unison.
"Because I'm pregnant and need to stay safe for my baby," Bella rationalized and the twins put her down.
"There is a marvelous feast set out in the courtyard and down by the river. So if you would all like to head towards those locations, it would be appreciated," Minerva said and everyone started to head out to the courtyard.
Rose, Jasper, and Emmett joined their group and hung out with them.
Bella took Teddy back from her brother and sat down with him, on a blanket on the grass by the lake. Draco was sitting beside her, while the other sat across from them, each of them were wrapped up with their girlfriends and boyfriends.
Bella sat still, as Teddy fell asleep on her chest. He had his hand was holding onto her long red hair. Draco sat having a conversation with Harry about how they would take care of Teddy.
Bella knew that Harry was not yet ready to become a parent and raise a child full-time. He wanted to become an auror and wait before starting a family.
"Harry," Bella whispered to her brother, who left Ginny and went to sit by his sister.
"Yes Bella," Harry acknowledged his sister.
"I was thinking that maybe Draco and I could adopt Teddy. He will still have his last name, but we'll raise him and he can visit you whenever it's convenient," Bella suggested and Harry just stared at her.
"Why?" Harry asked.
"Because you want to become an auror and see more of the world. You aren't ready to start a family, but Draco and I are. We could take care of him and still bring him for visits all the time we visit. I'll be staying at home anyway, since I'm pregnant and will probably stay at home," Bella said and Harry could not fault her reasoning.
"Do it, I want Teddy to have at least a set of parents to raise him, until Ginny and I are ready to get married. Adopt him, I know it's what Remus and Tonks would want," Harry said, as he kissed his sister's forehead and went back to sit beside Ginny.
"Did he accept it?" Draco said, as he sat beside his wife.
"Yes," Bella said simply.
Bella went back to listening to her friends and husband talking and listening to Teddy's soft breathing. Bella found that it calmed her. She was at peace with her decision to keep her baby and take in and adopt the little orphan. Bella promised herself that Teddy would never lose another family member again and swore to make sure Teddy knew about his brave and courageous mother and father.
As the graduation party came to a close, the Weasleys invited Bella and Draco to stay with them at the Burrow until they got situated. They accepted and they all disapparated to the Burrow.
Bella and Draco were given a room to themselves and Bella transfigured a chair into a crib for Teddy. Bella laid the sleeping orphan in his crib and they said good night to the rest of the family before turning into bed for the night as well.
