Author's note: This chapter continues to talk about how Florencia and her parents make up the lost time. But this chapter isn't that smooth, and you'll understand once you're done reading.

ScarletPuppy83: I know what you mean and I'm going to change it, thanks for telling me.

Terese: Don't worry, this is no where near the ending...although it is coming soon.

Chapter 21

Florencia stepped into winter and her wings grew into monarch ones, even Clarion froze at this change. Then her hair turned silvery white and it let itself down. "This is so beautiful, I remember reading in a book that said the queen, you, made a border law because of two fairies, one of them broke a wing...I feel so bad for that fairy, it must be really painful, it's a sparrow man right?" Florencia asked Clarion, who nodded.

"Does he hate that fairy now?" She suddenly asked, which made both Clarion and Milori almost crash into a tree. Milori could feel Clarion tense up as she lowered her head, "Mom, do you know?" Tears leaked out of her eyes, she had never forgiven herself for his broken wings.

Milori took Clarion into an embrace. Florencia was really confused now, that's when she saw her father's broken wings under his cape, and she gasped and fell back. "They were...you two." Tears threatened her eyes as Clarion started crying and shifted out of his embrace.

"Your wings were all my fault, I should have never let you cross, then this would have never happened." Milori sank down with her and rubbed her back, "Sweetheart you know I never blame you for anything." He comforted.

"I know you don't blame me, but if I were just more careful...you would be flying now." She sobbed, Florencia just stood there helpless, watching the heart breaking scene.

"Clarion, I would give my entire body up for you, even my pixie dust and heart if you needed it...please love, I hate seeing you like this." He said stroking her half up hair, it was beautiful.

Florencia hated to see her mother like this, "I'm so sorry mom and dad, I had no idea." Clarion sighed and walked over to her.

"Exactly why we don't blame you, sorry you had to witness that...usually a queen doesn't cry in front of others..." Clarion said blushing as Miloti rubbed her shoulders. "Dad is so sweet to you..." Florencia said shyly.

"And that's why I love him..." She said kissing his nose. "Can we go eat now, I haven't rated in three days." Clarion gasped, "Oh sweetie, I'm so sorry." Florencia embraced her mother and said, "Don't worry about it, I'm alive right?" They all laughed as they walked to the finest diner.

Many fairies dropped their forks as the royal family walked in. Florencia could hear whispers and murmurs, "Are they always like this?" Florencia asked as they sat down on a table.

"Don't worry about them, they are just surprised to see the princess being back, oh Milori, we have to announce her arrival tomorrow!" Clarion exclaimed.

"Are you serious mom, I..." Florencia began, but Clarion cut her off. "Don't worry darling, it's just an introduction and won't be til noon, so you can gain the sleep you've missed."

They ordered and once the food was brought onto the table, Clarion and Milori started eating, but Florencia just watched them eat even though she was starving. Clarion soon noticed, "Florencia, why aren't you eating?" She asked.

"I have one more question."

"What's that?" Milori said biting into his sandwich.

"Do you hate me?" She was completely serious, and Clarion could tell. Milori choked on his sandwich and Clarion patted his back.

"What?" He said taking a sip of water.

"I mean, it's been 18 years and because of me you didn't live a single day of happiness, all my fault." Tears leaked out of her eyes, "Then seeing dad care for you this much is really heart breaking, compared to the events I've been through. When Alex and I were walking on Sali Desert with nothing left but our bodies, he blamed me mother, he yelled at me for causing him this much trouble. When I was coughing my lungs out and had a 100 degree fever that night, he dumped a pail of freezing cold water onto me to stop me from bothering him with my coughing."

Florencia swallowed the lump in her throat as she continued, "Never mother, did I..." She couldn't continue any longer, she grew up with the harsh was of life, cruel words and heart breaking kidnappers. She couldn't possibly adjust to this life, she knew she must be going crazy for even thinking this, but she wanted to go back to the gem castle.

She went through all this, as much as she loves her parents, she couldn't stand all their kissing. Without saying anything, she stood up and flew out of the diner. Clarion wanted to go after her, but Milori grabbed her arm.

"She just needs some time alone, she needs to adjust to her real life." Clarion nodded knowing he was right

Florencia ran into what she thought as of her room and slammed the door shut, she didn't fit in here no matter what her parents say! "Life sucks...!" She mumbled through her sheets.

She continued sobbing, she had grown up in a world with no love, she had never heard of that word until now, and everyone suddenly expects to fit in just like that?! The more she thought, the more angry she gets.

"I should have known and not risked my life, I should have known I would have never fit in...and look at this disaster, it looks as if mom and dad don't even want me here! They went so well those years without me, and now they suddenly have someone in their life to care for. It's all just too much to bear."

Florencia stayed up in her room the entire day until she heard a knock, "Who is it?" She said clearly annoyed.

"It's me sweetheart." Clarion said.

"I don't want to see you right now, please leave." Clarion ignored that rude comment and said, "Sweetie, life isn't going to get better if you don't talk about it." Clarion waited for a moment before the door clicked open.

Clarion walked into the room and locked the door behind her, "It's just mother and daughter time, no daddy okay?" Florencia didn't answer, she just stared at the wall. So Clarion came and sat down on her bed, "Are you mad at me?" Clarion began.

"For what, enjoying your supposed love life?" Florencia said, clearly still angry. Clarion sighed and looked at the ground, "Florencia, even though I didn't raise you, doesn't make me any less of your mother...I know you can't used to things here so quickly, and I understand, that's why I'm giving you all the space you can get."

"Then why are you here, afraid that I would have escaped?!" She said jokingly, but Clarion didn't think it was a joke at all. "Anyways..."

"No mother, no more of these anyways, I want answers." Florencia said standing on her bed. Clarion had no emotions right now besides confused, deeply. She had absolutely no idea why her daughter was so mad, and Florencia wouldn't talk to her, which worried her deeply.

So Clarion decided to give Florencia a little time to herself, maybe she was just tired and cranky after all! But what Clarion didn't know was that there was something in Florencia's brain that Diana put in there when she was asleep...that would change her life forever.

Author's note: Not exactly a cliffhanger, but a close call. Clarion is just being the comforting mother she is, helping her daughter and trying to make her feel better at all times, but Florenia just any realize, and that's not entirely her fault.
