Chapter Twenty-One: Not-so Perfect Valentine's Day

Since Susana had met Char they had been inseparable, even though they hadn't stayed long they exchanged numbers. I had to bribe Pete with anything to make sure Char was busy just so I could spend time with my girl. Valentine's Day was today and I still had nothing planned; the Cullen women weren't very happy about that, but I know my girl though and she loves the simple things.
I was heading toward her house to pick her up for school, when I got hit with a bout of sympathy that wasn't mine, but my mate's. I drove quicker to find out what was going on.
"Pa are you sure you don't want me to stay home? I'll cook you your favorite meal, we'll go to the Rez, anything to cheer you up por favor." She was begging and I needed to know why.
Victor opened the door for me after I knocked, he looked solemn.
"What's going on?" Everyone looked sad, but forcing themselves to look happy for my sake.
"Our mother had the divorce papers sent over." Susanna was very angry that even if I attempted to use my gift it might not help.
"Are you still up for doing something today or would you like to spend the day here with your family? It's up to you Darlin'." I didn't want to tear her away if her father needed her comfort.
"Papi me necesitas aquí?" I loved it when she spoke in Spanish.
"Yes it's fine go enjoy your first Valentine's Day with Jasper your dateless brother will keep me company." We started laughing at Victor's indignant look.
As we walked out to the viper Susy kept asking what we were doing and we couldn't just do what we did every day. Little did she know I was going out on a limb here. Let the surprises begin.
A/N: I know it's been almost a year && I sincerely apologize, plus FF wasn't letting me add the next chapter so I switched over to Wattpad. I f it doesn't make sense I'm sorry I was writing && watching the PLL season 4 finale lol. =]
