Chapter 21- Ambush
Obi-wan led his men, Sasha, and the Guards to the main entrance. Slipping on his helmet, Obi-wan gestured for the others to exit the city. Sasha slipped hers on then looked to him. He gave her a nod and they followed the clones out into the water. Obi-wan swam over to Cody.
"Are our men in position?" Obi-wan asked over his helmets comm.
"Yes sir," Cody said through his. "They are awaiting your signal to attack, General."
Obi-wan nodded then looked to Sasha. He swam over and placed a hand on her shoulder.
"It's go time. Are you ready?" he asked her concerned.
Sasha looked at him. "I'm ready Master."
"Then what are we waiting for?" he asked smirking.
A blast suddenly flashed by their helmets. Both of their heads turned toward the source of the blast.
"That," She replied.
The Jedi activated their lightsabers and swam toward the front of the group. Obi-wan motioned with his weapon, forward and attack. The guards and Clones swam toward droids, firing along the way. The Jedi swam ahead and cut their way through the droids, taking out the first few lines. They then held their own and deflected the blasts back to the aqua droids.
Unlike the first wave they had encountered in the city, this one was at least twice that size and was starting to overpower the small army. The clones held their own just fine, but the guards were starting to fall one by one. Biting his lip, he glanced over to Sasha.
"I think it's time for some back up," he suggested.
She nodded as she blocked another shot back. Obi-wan returned the nod then comm through to the other clones.
"Toms here," the clone said.
"Time for some back," Obi-wan ordered. "Send in the troops."
"Roger that sir," the clone said then hung up.
"Now all we have to do it wait," Sasha stated.
"And hold off these droids," he finished.
"Easier said than done," she responded.
He sadly agreed with her on that. This was not easy at all. But he knew that their men wouldn't take that long to get here to aid them. Though with another two guards down, he started to think he should have called for backup sooner. However their wait didn't last that much longer when an explosion erupted from behind the large wave of droids, taking at least twenty of them out in the process.
"Back up is here," Scamp said through the comm channel.
Obi-wan smiled and nodded. "Let's finish this off."
The army of clones attacked from behind while the guards and the Jedi took care of the front lines. The droids numbers started to fall by large amounts, soon there would be nothing left but scrap metal. However, more and more started to join into the battle. This was becoming a problem.
"Master," Sasha said. "We need to take out the base on the beach. We take that out, the droids stop coming."
"You're right," he said. "Cody, can you handle things here?"
"Of course sir," the clone commander said. "Go and take care of that clanker base."
Obi-wan smiled and motioned to Sasha to follow him. Together they paved a path through the droids until they made it safely to their own troops. They then swam past them towards the base of the beach.
Grievous walked out onto the dock and looked into the water. The dark water lit up with the light of explosions and blasts. It looked to be one hell of a battle. Clenching his fists, Grievous straightened up as far as he could in the special suit he was wearing. This suit was made special just for him to go into the water. It was clear and covered his entire body, but it only allowed him to use two of his four arms while wearing it. He then grabbed the two lightsabers from the droid's, who was standing next to him, hand.
Grievous then stepped off the dock into the sand and marched into the water. He gestured the next waiting line of droids to follow him as he joined the undersea battle.
OH BOY! REVIEW PLEASE and I might just give another chapter very, very, very, very soon!
