You were surprised to see Seth looking so fancy when he got home, you raced upstairs to try to find something nice to wear when it suddenly hit you. Dean and Cassie took Charlie out for the night, Seth was all dressed up, he said he had a special night planned... Your heart started racing and your knees got wobbly, you sank down on her bed, oh my god, he's going to propose tonight! No, don't think like that, if you are wrong you will just be disappointed. Besides after telling him that you didn't want more kids he never mentioned getting married again. Of course he wanted his own babies...
You shook her head and focused on getting ready, it didn't matter whether he was going to propose or not, you were about to enjoy a romantic night out with the most gorgeous man you ever laid eyes on. Alright, Melz, time to make yourself look sexy as fuck. You went through your closet and found the dress that Cassie convinced you to buy last week. It was a deep purple off the shoulder dress with a swishy skirt that hit at just the right spot above your knee. It wasn't trashy, but it fit you perfectly.
You walked back downstairs to find Seth sitting on the couch scratching at his beard. He jumped as soon as he saw you, "Wow, babe, you look gorgeous."
You smiled and pulled his hand away from his face, "What's with you and the beard scratching today?" You placed a kiss on his bushy beard and giggled when the long hairs tickled your face.
"I forgot to trim it," he said apologetically.
You laughed and wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed him, he pulled you close and moaned when you pushed your tongue between his parted lips. "Mmmm, Baby, you are making me consider canceling those reservations."
"No way!" You playfully slapped his arm, "You look hot tonight! I want to show you off."
He kissed you again and checked the clock, "We uh, have some time before we need to leave. Let's sit, I, umm, have something to tell you."
Your heart stopped dead in your chest, he looked so serious, you swallowed the lump in your throat and sat down next to him. He turned sideways and took both your hands in his, "Melissa, I love you, more than I ever thought I could ever love anyone. I thought about everything you said last time about not having kids and I want you to know that no matter what, the only thing I want is to spend the rest of my life with you. You and Charlie are the most important people in my life."
He paused and took a deep breath, pulled a little box from his pocket and got down on one knee in front of you, "Melissa, will you marry me?"
Your eyes filled with tears and you nodded your head, "Yes, Seth, yes. I love you."
He slid the ring on your finger and kissed the back of your hand, "It looks perfect on you."
You looked at your finger and gasped, "Seth, you, I mean, it's gorgeous. You shouldn't have!" The ring was platinum with a large round diamond in the middle with two smaller diamonds on each side, traditional but stunning. "It's so sparkly," you wiggled your finger to watch the light bounce off it.
Seth sat next to you and pulled you in for another passionate kiss, "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life spoiling you. Both you and Charlie."
You smiled at him, "You can start by kissing me again." You wrapped your arms around his neck and pulled his head down to kiss his lips.
He gently broke the kiss, "Come on baby, we have reservations to keep!"
You reluctantly let him go and got up to find your shoes, as you locked the front door you stood up on your tip toes and whispered in his ear, "I am wearing a hot lacy bra and panties set. I can't wait to show it to you." You nibbled his earlobe and walked towards his rental leaving him staring goggle eyed at you.
Before you went into the restaurant Seth insisted on taking a selfie together with you showing off the ring. "Who are you sending that to?"
"Roman," he grinned at you and showed you the text message, under the picture he wrote The soon-to-be Mr and Mrs Rollins. "The big guy is such a romantic teddy bear, bet he will get all teary eyed when he sees it!"
You laughed at him, "You shouldn't make fun of people for being sensitive!"
"Oh, never to his face! The Samoan teddy bear would rip my arms off!" You both burst out laughing, once you started you couldn't stop, you put your head on his shoulder and held your sides until you could breathe again.
Dinner was amazing, the restaurant was romantic, you had a cozy table in the back corner. It was the best dinner of your life, you knew you were grinning like an idiot and you didn't even care. You never even dreamed that you could be this happy again.
The waiter came by with a mouthwatering dessert tray, "Can I interest you in coffee or dessert this evening?" You were about to ask for the cannoli in the middle of the tray when Seth spoke up.
"No thanks. We'll just take the check." The waiter left with all the yummy desserts and you looked at Seth.
He chuckled at the surprised look on your face. "Relax, babe. I still have more planned."
Seth paid the bill and you walked out to the car, the night got chilly and you felt goose bumps forming on your arms. He took off his suit jacket and wrapped it around your shoulders while placing a tender kiss on your lips. He opened the car door for you and helped you get settled in the passenger seat. He ran around to the drivers side and started the car. You talked the entire ride and were surprised to see that Seth was driving back home, "Um, Seth? We are going home? What do you have up your sleeve this time?"
"You'll see soon enough," he said parking in front of your house.
You opened your front door and Charlie ran to you and gave you a giant hug, "Mommy! Seth! Aunt Cassie and Dean said we are having a party! But they won't tell me why."
You grinned at Seth, he really did think of everything. "Babe, can I tell him?" You nodded and Seth swung Charlie up into his arms and plopped him on the couch.
"So, Charlie, remember what we talked about on your birthday?" Charlie nodded, his eyes wide and his feet jiggling with anticipation, "Well, turns out, you were right, I was able to make your birthday wish come true. Mommy and I are going to get married and I will be your Dad."
Charlie jumped up and started clapping his hands, he hugged Seth and then he hugged you and then Seth pulled you both together for a giant bear hug. Cassie and Dean came over and joined in on the group hug, you noticed that Dean's hand was hovering near Cassie's ass and you giggled.
Charlie squirmed out of the hug, "Can we have cake now? We got an ice cream cake! And cookies!"
You all sat around your dining room table eating cake and laughing. Cassie and Dean were on one side of the table and Charlie was sitting in between you and Seth. Cassie was happier than you'd seen her in years and you felt like you were floating on a cloud.
You looked over at Seth and watched him as he tried to clean the chocolate ice cream off Charlie's legs, "Seriously, Charlie, how did you get ice cream on your knees?" He was gorgeous, everything about him made you swoon, his arms, his big brown eyes, his amazing ass... Even with his beard all long and bushy, he was the sexiest man you ever laid eyes on. And he loved you, he loved you exactly the way you were. Seth looked up and caught your eye, he winked at you. "Thank you," you whispered, "thank you for everything."
