Chapter 20: Hatchet in the post!
(Opening A/N: Myzor, you said it best! "The gloves are now and forever off!" And this is the final strech, five more chapters to go! But don't worry, to all my loyal fans out there...I'm shading in for a sequel! How about them apples? So enjoy this chapter!)
I can't believe Chang just killed the only person that I truly felt connected to. But I'm not the only person he just pissed off. But I promise Stephanie, your death will not be in vain. You will be avenged! My phone started ringing, it was Balalaika, I answered it.
"Yeah?" I asked, she informed me that she found Stephanie stripped naked and had a bullet placed through her head.
"Are you still wanting Chang dead, it's going to take an army to get to Chang. And I was hoping you'd lead the charge." Balalaika offered, I couldn't resist the urge to take charge.
"On one condition, I want you to be by my side and when we kill Chang, we'll kill him together." I proposed, she then took a drag from her cigar and exhaled the smoke.
"So it seems we have a common enemy. I accept your offer, I'll see you on the battlefield." Balalaika said as she hung up, then she looked at her second in command Boris.
"Something wrong Kapitan?" Boris asked, Balalaika shook her head.
"I was offered a chance to help Otaku by offing Chang, it isn't everyday that someone asks to help them kill another person you seriously have a grudge against." Balalaika retorted to her second in command.
I didn't want Chang to harm either Eda, Rock, or their unborn baby. If they die, then their deaths would be weighted on my soul like Stephanie. But they need to get out of Roanapur and somewhere less violent for about nine months until the child is born. Just then I recieved a call, it was Sawyer, I hope she found Pao Ling. Luckily she did find him and but here's the catch, Pao Ling was boarding on a ship. Was he going back to China? To me, usually it might be a trap. But then Dutch called me saying that Pao Ling is going to issue me a challenge on the open sea. I told him that I'll be on the Black Lagoon and ready to kick some Triad ass.
"Pao Ling, before this day is done, both you and Chang will see your last sunset." I said to myself, but don't think I wasn't going to let Chang's #2 get away from it all.
"Get away from me! You fucking American pig!" The Triad second in command said not only insulting but also Revy.
"Hey dipshit! You wanna run that by me again? I'm American too asshole!" Revy said cracking her knuckles.
"Care to cast the first punch?" I offered, Revy then balled a fist and with all of her strength...she planted one on his kisser!
I then had a hatchet in hand looking to decapitate this motherfucker. I then grabbed the lieutenant by the head of his hair and swung the one handed axe decapitating the man and his head was removed from his body. Blood poured out after the rest of the body hit the ground.
"What do we do now?" Revy asked, I still had Chang's headless #2 in my hand. I was hoping that Chang would get my message somehow.
If this was tit for tat, and Chang gave me the tit, then this would be the tat.
"I think it'd be best if went to see Balalaika." I suggested as we both went to Hotel Moscow's headquarters.
As we arrived, we were gretted by the faces of Balalaika and Boris. I then tossed the head to Boris.
"What's this for?" Boris asked, I started to laugh.
"Here's a little homework, think of a creative way to send Chang a personal message with that." I replied, I then walked over to the post with the bloody hatchet I used to kill the lieutenant with.
"What are you planning on doing with the hatchet?" Balalaika asked, I had a small grin on my face.
"Watch and learn. Hyaah!" I shouted at the last part burying the hatchet in the post.
"You could've used a tree." Boris suggested.
"There aren't many trees here in Roanapur Boris, besides, the post has a good meaning." Balalaika replied.
"This is a Native American style declaration of war. When the hatchet is buried in the post, the war has begun. But when the war is resolved, the hatchet is removed." I stated, but enough of the history lesson. It was time to get this war into high gear. I boarded onto the Black Lagoon along with Revy, Boris, Balalaika, Rock, Benny, and Eda. It was time to settle scores and kick some Triad ass!
