"Sugar?" asked Sophie, stirring the teabag around one of the mugs in front of her.
Sian shook her head and grinned, "Sweet enough."
"Gross." answered Sophie, tipping the milk into both cups before removing the tea bags and handing one of the cups over to the other girl, "I hate when people say that."
Chuckling, Sian took the mug gratefully, "Someone's grouchy."
Choosing not to respond, Sophie merely rolled her eyes before stepping around Sian and making her way into the living room. As she settled herself down on to the sofa, she felt someone sit down beside her and glanced across to see the blonde placing her mug down on the coffee table and shuffling back into the cushions.
After what seemed like an eternity of rolling around in bed together, the girls had been forced to exit the bedroom and get something to eat and drink. After a quick discussion they both agreed that unfortunately they couldn't just have sex all day and ignore the rest of the world and so had opted to have a cup of tea and maybe watch a movie.
"Are you still mad?" asked Sian, looking over at Sophie with a smirk.
Sophie looked up from her mug, "And why would I be mad?"
Her tone gave her away and Sian giggled at the fact the brunette was still slightly irked, "I said I was sorry."
"You didn't mean it." muttered Sophie, placing her mug alongside the other on the coffee table, "You're just seeing how far you can push me."
"Oh come on Soph." grumbled Sian, tucking her legs underneath herself as she turned to face Sophie, "I lost track of time."
Sophie snorted, "We both know that's not true."
"Isn't it?" asked Sian, wiggling her eyebrows playfully, "Worth the wait though right?"
"Sian ..." Sophie pinched the bridge of her nose, "No one leaves someone tied to the bed and showers for over an hour. I lost all feeling in my hands."
Sian couldn't help but let out another loud giggle, leaning across and swatting the brunette on the arm, "I made it up to you."
"That's not the point Sian, you did it on purpose just to annoy me." mumbled Sophie.
"You're not even sure why you're annoyed are you?" asked Sian, cocking her head to one side, "You're just not used to someone who's not completely at your mercy."
Sophie frowned, "No ... I ..."
As the other girl trailed off, Sian laughed, "See."
"It still wasn't fair." argued Sophie, "Like I say, you're just seeing how much you can push me."
"And what if I am?" asked Sian, picking up her mug and taking a sip, "I think it'll be good for you."
"How is it good for me exactly?"
"Because Sophie, you're so used to going to bars and picking up girls and having them throw themselves at you and do whatever it is you want them to." stated Sian, "When it comes to women you get exactly what you want every single time."
Sophie frowned, "So."
"So ... I think you could do with being brought down a peg or two." explained Sian before grinning over at the other girl, "Plus it's a lot of fun for me."
Shaking her head, Sophie picked up her mug and took a gulp, "You're terrible."
"So I've been told."
"You treat all the girls you sleep with like this?" asked Sophie.
"Only the ones I really like."
Sophie opened her mouth to respond but instantly shut it again as she processed what Sian had just said. Had she heard that right? In amongst all this mess and the web of lies and deceit they were creating could Sian actually like Sophie? The thought hadn't occured to the brunette. She assumed the both of them had just given into their desires and a great deal of sexual frustration. Then again, if she really thought about it, would they both be doing something so truly terrible for just sex. Surely it had to be more.
"Did you ... you ... what?" asked Sophie, unsure what to really say.
"Nothing." squeaked Sian, unable to quite believe she'd said something like that without thinking.
"No ... you ... you said you really like me."
Sian shook her head, "No I didn't."
"Sian." the brunette paused, "We both know you did."
"What I meant was ..." Sian wet her lips, trying to think of something to say, "I like your company."
Sophie couldn't stop herself from laughing, "No you didn't."
"Yeah I did. I just worded it wrong."
Taking one last swig of her tea, Sophie placed her mug down on the coffee table and turned to face the other girl, "So you go on at me for the past twenty four hours with all this bollocks about how I need to change my attitude and admit that I enjoy letting you be in control and you can't even turn around and admit you said you like me."
Sian bit down on her lip as she attempted to get her words out right, "I think my admission would be slightly more loaded than confessing I like to be bossed around a bit in the bedroom."
"Just admit you like me." pushed Sophie, "It's nothing to be ashamed of ... most people do. Especially if they're lucky enough to sleep with me."
"Don't." warned Sian, "Don't do that."
"Do what?"
Sian narrowed her eyes, "You know what you're doing."
"I don't."
"You're being cocky." stated Sian, "You're putting on that arrogant, full of yourself mask again."
Sophie frowned, "There's no mask."
"Yeah there is. And I hate it." argued Sian, "It's the exact reason I didn't wanna go home with you the first night we met. And it's the same reason I'm not gonna admit to anything."
"God you think you've got me all figured out don't you." muttered Sophie, folding her arms across her chest and settling back against the arm of the sofa so she was facing Sian head on, "You don't know me as well as you think you do."
"You're right." answered Sian, "Cause you don't let any of the girls you sleep with get to know you. And as much as you'd like to think I'm different, let's be honest, I'm not."
"You're still here aren't you?"
Sian scoffed, "What, I'm supposed to be grateful that you haven't chucked me out yet?"
"I didn't say you should be grateful. But it's not like I make a habit of keeping someone around this long."
"Well fuck me aren't I the lucky one." responded Sian dryly, "The fact you're proud of yourself for managing to stand a girls company for longer than one night is quite frankly pathetic."
"Can you stop talking to me like that?" muttered Sophie, feeling herself beginning to get irritated. "All you ever do is tell me what a bad person I am."
"That's not true."
"Yeah it is." argued Sophie, "It's quite clear you think I'm a scumbag. I haven't even done anything wrong."
Sian scoffed, "Other than spend the last day shagging your best friend's girlfriend."
"Like you're any better." Sophie narrowed her eyes, "Hardly the innocent party."
"At least I'm not sat here claiming to have done nothing wrong. Trust me, we've done something very wrong Sophie."
"I wasn't referring to this when I said that."
Sian laughed coldly, "So you just pick and choose what actions you can be held accountable for?"
"Will you stop putting words in my mouth?!" Sophie felt herself beginning to lose her temper.
"Will you stop acting like a saint?" retorted Sian.
Sophie sighed, "Again, did I say that?"
"You live your whole lifestyle doing what you want, when you want! You sleep with whoever you like, with no regard for anyone else's feelings! You don't care who gets hurt as long as you're getting what you want. You persistently hounded me until I slept with you an-"
"Oh no, I don't fucking think so!" butted in Sophie, "Don't shift all the blame on to me. You were hardly reluctant last night, you were in your fucking element."
"But you were the one who couldn't just leave me alone and let it be!" shouted back Sian, now equally as irritated as the other girl, "How many times did I tell you?! How many times did I warn you that this absolutely, one hundred percent couldn't happen! But no, does Sophie Webster give a shit? Of course not. You had to keep trying it. Keep pushing me. Keep flirting and ... the other day in the kitchen! Pressing me up against the counter and kissing me when my girlfriend is literally in the next room! Then! Then you kiss me when I come round here to tell you to back off. And what's your idea of backing off? Oh yeah, coming to the place where I work and openly hitting on some girl right in front of me. Have you any idea how that made me feel?"
Sophie raised an eyebrow, "No ... tell me."
Raking a hand through her hair, Sian turned her head to the side and blew out a breath, "It doesn't matter okay. What matters is, quite clearly we need to stop whatever this is."
"No what matters is that there's something between us and unfortunately it's not as simple as it should be because there are other people involved."
"There's nothing between us Sophie." muttered Sian, turning back to face the brunette, "We had sex. It was nice."
"Nice isn't exactly the word I'd use. To be honest you're not very nice in the bedroom."
Sian narrowed her eyes, "Don't try to be funny."
"Look ... Sian ..." Sophie rubbed at her eyes, "Can we please just ... not bullshit each other and for once talk honestly."
"I am being hon-"
"Do you like me?" interrupted Sophie, "And I mean more than 'like my company'."
Contemplating her options for a second, Sian folded her arms across her chest defensively, looking down at the sofa and sighing, "I don't know."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"It means I don't know." repeated Sian, glancing back up at the other girl and seeing her waiting for her to elaborate, "Depends."
"Stop stalling." ordered Sophie, feeling herself becoming impatient.
"Well it does depend!" argued Sian, "Depends on whether I let myself think about you. Depends if I let all my morals and guilt go out the window and ignore the fact that I'm cheating on my girlfriend. And most importantly, it depends which version of you I get to see."
Sophie frowned, "Version of me? There's only one version of me."
"No. One minute you're flirting shamelessly with me. The next you're keeping your distance. One minute you feel guilty about trying it on with me. The next you're throwing yourself at me. Then you show me this fun, laid back side of yourself that isn't about flirting and trying it on but just about enjoying spending time together. Then it's back to being this arrogant, narcissistic 'player'. Then-"
"It's all me Sian!" shouted Sophie, "Every single quality you just listed is me. Whoever this person is that you're looking for doesn't exist."
"Or maybe it's just easier for you to believe you're a scumbag so you can blame your behaviour on that."
"Stop psycho-analyzing me." murmured Sophie.
Sian rolled her eyes, "I thought you wanted to be honest with each other?"
"Well maybe now I've changed my mind."
"Fine." started Sian, rising to her feet, "I'll go then."
Sophie stiffened at Sian's words, watching carefully as the blonde disappeared down the hallway towards her bedroom, obviously in search of her jacket and shoes. Of course, Sophie didn't want her to go. But what was she going to do? Chase after Sian? Beg her to stay? Neither of those options sounded appealing. Talk about losing face. But as Sian reappeared from her bedroom, pulling on her leather jacket, converse now on her feet, Sophie felt a mild sense of panic rush through her body.
Reaching out for the door handle and pulling the door open just a fraction, Sian was surprised as an arm reached around her, slamming the door shut again.
"Don't leave." said Sophie, keeping her palm pressed against the door just in case Sian tried to yank it open, noticing the blonde's fingers still holding the handle. "Please don't leave."
Sian exhaled deeply, flexing her fingers around the door handle as she kept her back to the other girl, "This isn't a good idea Sophie."
"I don't care. Nothing else matters when I have you here with me." admitted Sophie, taking a fraction of a step forward so she was pressed into the back of Sian's body, "You're the first and only girl who will ever make me beg and I am begging you right now not to leave me. Not like this."
Sian turned, not hesitating for a second before wrapping her arms around the brunette's neck and pulling her in for a kiss, their lips melting together as Sophie took another step forward, wrapping her arms around the other girl's waist and gently pushing her against the wood of the door.
The kiss was brief, their lips moving against one another for only a few seconds before Sian leant back, resting her head against the door but still tightly gripping the back of Sophie's neck.
"I'll stay." whispered Sian, "I'll stay with you."
Sophie's eyes opened at Sian's words, having fluttered closed the second their lips met. "You will?"
Sian nodded her head slowly, "If that's what you want."
"Well is it what you want?" asked Sophie, "Cause if you're staying just cause you feel sorry for me then I don't want you to."
"Do you really think I'd stay here just cause I feel sorry for you?" asked Sian, "I didn't want to leave Sophie. But I don't want to fight with you. And I'm scared of what's going to happen if I stay because we're already in such deep trouble. I don't want anyone to get hurt because of me."
"Neither do I." muttered Sophie, "We'll figure this out okay? But right now, just stay with me tonight."
"Okay." whispered Sian, leaning forward and pressing her lips to Sophie's again before stepping back and walking around the brunette back towards the sofa.
Sophie walked slowly back towards the couch, standing behind it and looking down at Sian who was now sprawled across the length of it. Running her fingers along the top of the sofa, Sophie stopped so she was level with the blonde's head.
"Sian ..."
"Yeah?"
Sophie cleared her throat, fidgetting with a loose thread on the sofa cushion, "When are you leaving for Christmas?"
Sian looked up, "Why?"
"Just wondered." muttered Sophie.
"Christmas eve." answered Sian, pausing for a second as she counted in her head, "Four days."
Sophie nodded, "Okay."
Sian smirked, "Gonna miss me like?"
"No." replied Sophie, a little quicker than she would have liked.
"Come 'ere." Sian raised her arm, motioning for Sophie to come over to her side of the couch and take her hand.
As soon as Sophie's hand connected with Sian's, she felt the blonde pull her down on top of her. Adjusting her body slightly so she was lay across the length of Sian's body, the girls locked eyes and both grinned.
"Subtle." teased Sophie, leaning on one of her hands above Sian's head on the arm rest.
Sian placed her hands on Sophie's hips, gently running her fingertips under the bottom of her shirt, "Don't worry, you'll get to enjoy my company until I leave."
"I wasn't even bothered to be ho-"
Sian silenced the brunette with a kiss before smirking up at her, "How frustrating is it for you that it's someone like me who you want to keep around."
"How do you mean?" asked Sophie.
"Someone who doesn't stand for your bullshit. Someone who doesn't let you get away with murder. Someone who has completely made you their little bitch." Sian grinned widely as she finished her sentence.
Sophie laughed, "You're right, I've totally met my match."
Grinning, Sian moved her hands round to Sophie's bum, pushing the other girl down against her body, "Now take your kit off, I'm ready to go again."
"Are you serious?" asked Sophie, looking down at the girl below her with a somewhat stunned expression.
Sian bit down on her lip and nodded her head, moving her legs apart slightly so Sophie's body would fit in between them before pushing the brunette's body into herself again.
"And I'm insatiable?"
Giggling, Sian gripped the front of Sophie's shirt, pulling her down towards her, "Shut up and fuck me."
