Chapter 21
Thor took hold of his brother and Jane, while Loki took hold of Billy and Chris. Thor raised his hammer in the air and they all flew back to Chamberlain, Maine.
The next morning, Chris looked at her watch.
"It's nine o'clock. School is just starting," said Chris.
"Then we need to get there and warn everybody," said Thor.
Billy looked to see that his red car was still there, in the middle of the road.
"Okay, come on. We can take this and get there faster," said Billy.
Chris started to get into the passenger seat, but Loki pushed her aside.
"Nope. I think I will ride up front," Loki said.
Chris wanted to argue, but there was no time. She let Loki have the front seat. She got into the back with Thor and Jane.
"Okay, then, Drive," Loki said.
This was one time Chris was actually glad for Billy's reckless driving.
They made it to the school and got out of the car.
"Okay, now go in there and warn everybody," said Loki to Billy and Chris.
"Um, I'm suspended. I can't go in there," Chris said.
"Just go!" Loki said.
Billy and Chris walked into the school.
"What should we do?" Billy asked.
"I don't know. Pull the fire alarm!" Chris said.
Billy did just that, and all of the students came running out. Chris didn't see Sue anywhere. She did find Nicky, Lizzie, and Tina.
"What's going on?" Tina asked.
"Never mind. We need to get out of here!" Chris shouted.
"Why? What is going ON?" Tina insisted.
"I can't tell you," said Chris.
"What's going on?" A voice from behind them called.
They turned to see Miss DeJordan.
"Chris! You're supposed to be suspended!" Miss DeJordan said.
"If we don't get out of here, we will all be dead!" Chris yelled.
"What are you talking about, Chris?" Miss DeJordan was cut off by an explosion outside.
