Note: Extremely short and kind of a filler. Also it has my hate of colonoscopy (-cough- Blaineofsky) in it so if you feel like you don't want to read at any point please skip down to the bottom paragraph. Oh and I thank you very much for the reviews, I'm kind of going through a hard period but just knowing people care about what I'm writing makes me smile.
Part 20.5
I am NOT going to use Part 21 on this :PKurt nervously paced the waiting room of the hospital. He kept counting his footsteps to make sure that he would take just the same number on each side and that they would always add up to fifty in total. If he took six steps to the right then he had to take six to the left and so on. Fortunately, Blaine had been witness to his little quirks that had restarted when Burt was getting tested in the hospital during their break up.
A break up. He felt so stupid for it now, he and Blaine weren't meant to be separated. That had been hard for him and yes, he appreciated what that time apart meant when it came to restoring their relationship, but it had hurt him.
That was a tiny amount of time compared to what Blaine had been through.
Kurt heard a siren in the distance and spun around. Sirens scared him, they sounded so much more powerful these days. Maybe it was his associating the sirens with Blaine, but they had such power over him. He was about to step forward but felt something whack him in the head.
He sat down before hearing footsteps and a loving voice.
"Kurt!"
Blaine…it was Blaine's voice…but…he couldn't keep his eyes open.
—
Kurt felt the breeze brush past him as he took a deep breath in and then let it out, it felt so much colder to him, but still there was such a weight against his body. He looked down and blinked confused. His body still seemed that of a twenty-three year old, but he was wearing his Dalton Uniform. He hadn't worn this uniform in so so long. Blaine had been the one to keep his and then Kurt would role-play naughty school boy with him.
It was one of their more…kinky and nostalgic costumes.
Even if Blaine's chip had been deactivated, the area was probably too delicate right now for them to enjoy that again.
He tried to walk out, but then closed his eyes as he imagined himself on a rooftop in New York. The lights and colors everywhere reminded him so much of romance and love and the desire to feel Blaine's fingertips on his.
But where was Blaine? Kurt span, the blue and red striped tie slapping him on the neck and the blue word Automa got stuck in his mind. He was about to take another step, but very relieved, he found himself stepping out onto the staircase where he had first met Blaine.
This had to be a dream, but Blaine…Blaine was always in his dreams, standing beside him in the best form of protection, and now nowhere. "Blaine!" he called out as he tried nervously to find his husband.
Suddenly fog swirled around him and he turned to look behind him. He flinched as he saw a face from his past. A face that frightened him still, he was happy that this man had embraced his sexuality and started living for himself and not to scare anyone, but this man had been his tormentor. The face of hate. The face that just shook fear into his heart, though he hated to admit it. He hated to admit the fact that he couldn't rise above fear and really become friends with this man.
David Karofsky.
That stupid Prom King crown sat on his head which made Kurt's heart twist in his chest. His suit changed as he approached Kurt, the black was turning to blue, the white shirt was becoming purple and Kurt felt rips on his own clothes. With every heartbeat he heard, more and more of his uniform was ripping off of him, taking his skin with it.
Riiiiip
"I'm warning you Hummel!"
Slaaaaaaaassssh"You tell anyone and you're dead."
Wwwwhpppssssshhh
"Don't mess with me Hummel!"
"He your boyfriend Kurt?"
Kurt looked up before hearing words which were very very familiar and pleasing to him, he looked around and saw the man he loved. He saw his Blaine, but it was a younger Blaine. Still handsome as ever, still such an adorable man.
Blaine had always been his protection, he had always stood beside Kurt and not only had Blaine defended him and protected his body from pain, he had always protected his voice, his heart. Everything that Kurt was seemed to be important to Blaine.
Stuck between a traumatic past and a future he treasured so much, Kurt stood on the steps listening to Blaine sing 'All You Need Is Love'.
However, as Dave passed him, Kurt watched in horror as his heart started to rip into itself as Blaine got down on bended knee for Dave Karofsky.
Blaine was his.
Kurt might be able to concentrate on things other than a relationship, he might have been able to show determination outside of a relationship, but something that was still so so precious to him was Blaine. Blaine had proven to Kurt that not only could he be loved, Kurt could love him back.
He felt his body start to weaken as Blaine slipped his hand upon Dave's cheek and pressed his lips against the gorilla's!
"I love you Dave," Blaine smiled as Kurt felt everything inside of him get sucked away from him.
Those were his kisses. Blaine was his husband!
Kurt rushed forwards, but didn't have the strength to stop this. It was supposed to be his happy end with Blaine, unless the writer went in a very unexpected direction the two of them would end up together.
"Who are you?" Blaine asked as Kurt felt his heart break. "Kurt?"
—
"Kurt, honey," Blaine said with such warmth in his eyes as he pressed his hand to Kurt's forehead and then very gently ran a finger underneath Kurt's eye seeing the tears. "Are you okay? I thought you just fainted, but you have to tell me if there is anything else weird."
"Please!" Kurt gasped as he sat up in a flash and wrapped his arms around Blaine, "Please never leave me alone! Please!"
"Oh honey, no, I won't, is there any reason why?" Blaine asked as he kissed the side of Kurt's head, rubbing his love's back. "I thought that I was the weak one."
"You're…you're not weak…you didn't have….a relationship with…with…Karo-fsky right?" Kurt gasped, his heart hurting him as Blaine paused.
"I still hate him for what he did to you. I will never forgive him, that doesn't make me a nice person I know, but I love you. I don't think that I've ever ever had a private conversation with him. I'm yours, I have always been yours, I promise." Blaine said as he held Kurt tighter. "I love you."
"I want to…talk about our relationship," Kurt smiled, "I love you and I just…want our lives to get back on track. I think that we should talk about what we want to do with our future, together."
