Hey y'all. I'm sorry I didn't update Monday, and I'm also sorry that I said I got zero reviews, when I actually got a lot more. I didn't realize that y'all had reviewed the announcement, and I just saw no new reviews after I posted the actual update.
Thank you guys for not like murdering me or anything.
Anyways, get ready for this chapter, cuz it's going to be pretty confusing, basically because I realized how stupid the last update was.
Previously: Tris woke up from her dream in a life threatening situation and she managed to save Tobias and herself.
That's when I woke up.
Bet you weren't expecting that, huh?
My heart was beating really fast, and my breathing was sped up, but other than that I was unharmed, and Tobias was still sleeping peacefully beside me.
I almost laughed.
Of course it was a dream, I'm not talented enough to make a rope out of branches, and I'm pretty sure Tobias can't hold up the structure of a Ferris Wheel.
I smiled and woke Tobias up, people were going to wonder where we went soon.
Tobias looked up at me and groaned,
"Do we have to go?" He asked, I nodded and stood up, letting him down first.
I was so relieved that what happened was only a bad dream that I didn't have time to wonder how Tobias managed to fall asleep up here.
As soon as we were down, I took his hand and ran to the train tracks. We sat down near the tracks and waited for the next train that would arrive in about two minutes. Tobias and I had both memorized the train schedule.
We stood up as we heard the train and got ready to jump on.
We both easily made it on and sat in the train cart in silence until Tobias decided to speak.
"We could leave Dauntless." He said suddenly. I looked at him and raised an eyebrow. (underlined = Tobias)
"Could we really? Where would we go?"
"To the homeless section."
"Good idea." I said sarcastically.
"Seriously, we could."
"But our friends..."
"We wouldn't be able to tell them where we are."
"I have to think about it."
"I know, so do I, but you have a lot to leave behind, your entire family... I don't really care about anyone else."
"So we'll think about it?"
"Yeah, but until then... Just try and be happy. If everything is okay for about a week, and you decide you want to stay, I completely understand."
"I know you do. That's why I love you."
"Stupid Dauntless leaders."
"Stupid brother."
"I'm sorry he did that to you."
"It's okay."
"No it's not, and you know it."
"I'll get over it."
"I know you will, you're the strongest person I know." He assured me. I gave him a small smile as the train stopped.
"Let's go." I said. We jumped off the train and headed to the Dauntless compound.
"We'll meet here next week." Tobias said, I nodded and gave him a quick kiss goodbye.
"I love you." I whispered.
"I love you too." He said, and I walked towards my room.
I is a line, and I ain't no ordinary line, I'm a cool line.
"Bea?" Rodrick asked as I closed the door,
"Yeah, it's me." I said, he ran over to me and gave me a hug which I didn't return.
"Where were you? I was so worried!" He exclaimed.
"Oh, sorry, I was out taking a walk." I lied. He nodded.
"Well I'm glad you're okay. I got you some breakfast." He said with a smile. I gave him a small smile back as he went to get my breakfast.
Rodrick came back with a plate of eggs and bacon. My stomach rumbled.
Rodrick laughed at the noise and set the plate down at the table, which I quickly went to, beginning to eat the eggs, and then eating the bacon.
"Mmm, this is so good." I mumbled, he grinned.
"My cousin taught me how to cook when I was 10." He said proudly. I gave him a small smile.
"Your cousin must have been a god or something." I said, stuffing more food into my mouth. He laughed.
"So, you want to meet some of my friends today? They're having a get-together at the train tracks." Rodrick said.
I thought about it. I really didn't want to go, but Rodrick was being so nice, and it was the least I could do.
"Sure, why not." I said. He smiled.
"Awesome! I'll tell them you can come." He said cheerfully.
Line Line Line Line Line
Rodrick and I were waiting at the train tracks when his friends arrived. They were definitely interesting. There was a girl who was about two inches taller than me with dyed red hair and freckles, who was dressed in all black except for a bright pink headband, she was holding hands with a guy who was slightly taller than her with a green Mohawk, and a tattoo covering his entire face.
There was another guy who had yellow tattoos all over his arms and purple hair who was punching another guy who had yellow hair (not blonde, yellow) and purple tattoos. I don't know if they planned to look like opposites, but they guy with purple hair was wearing a red shirt and blue shorts and the guy with yellow hair was wearing a blue shirt and red shorts. (A/N I know they're not wearing black. Deal with it. Not everyone can be like Fang)
There was another girl who was wearing blue jeans, a light blue shirt, and blue shoes. She had blue hair, and was glaring at me with her blue eyes. Then she turned to Rodrick and smiled.
Something told me she liked him, which was fine by me. I don't care if she tries to get engaged to him. I don't want him in my life.
I immediately felt bad after thinking that, because he had only ever been nice to me.
"The boys fighting over there are Derrick and Dar. They're twins. The girl in black is Mellie, and that's her boyfriend, Zak. Over there in all blue is Zoe. She can be... hostile." Rodrick explained. I nodded my head.
They all walked up to us and Rodrick introduced me, as his wife. That made Zoe mad.
"We're all going out to the bar tonight. Want to come Rodrick?" Zoe purred, I rolled my eyes and Rodrick said sure.
"Bea, do you want to come?" He asked, I shook my head.
"No thanks, I want to get as much sleep as possible tonight." I lied. I just didn't want to be around that Zoe girl.
