OH MY GOD, you suck so much! I know, that's what people are saying. writers block had me like whoa. ANyways, I started writing again. I am almost done writing this story, I've started writing the next story, here Cat is picked up by... someone. there's one or 2 brief stories before Cat returns to Beacon Hills for Season 5 and OMG I was hit with a brilliant idea, so I'm excited.

So, if you're still here, thank you. Please show some love.

I can't thank you all enough. Please don't give up, I have so much more to say.

MUAH! love always, Cordi

... ... ...

"Hey." Stiles greeted his best friend after answering the phone. He glanced over at the chair to see Cat hadn't reacted and was still staring out the window.

"Hey, are you okay? Mom said you were in the hospital?" Scott sounded concerned.

"Not a big deal, Brunski punched me in the face, turns out he was a serial killer. I'll be out of here fairly soon. What about you guys?"

"Didn't Cat tell you what happened?" Scott asked in surprise.

Another glance at his girlfriend. "Uh, no. She came to save us with Parrish and then there was this whole thing with Meredith and, well it messed with Cat."

"Meredith? I thought she was dead."

"Nope and she's the Benefactor." Stiles announced.

It was silent for a moment before Scott demanded he tell him everything. He complied, sharing almost everything that happened that night and when he was done, Scott shared his story.

"She wore earplugs?" Stiles asked with a soft snort when he was done.

"Yeah." Scott confirmed. "She said she still wasn't used to loud noises, which I'm kinda glad for. Where is she anyway? Kira saved Brett and found Satomi's pack. We're going to need her help to protect them. There's lots of assassins, professional and otherwise, coming for them."

Stiles glanced at Cat again, standing up and moving towards the door, turning his back on her so he could talk to Scott. "I think Cat needs to sit this one out, Scott."

"What's wrong with her, Stiles?"

"I- I think she went into Brunski's mind, it messed her up."

"Is she catatonic?"

"Not quite there. There's some things I didn't want to say out loud earlier. But her Mom was really there. There's a chance Cat and her Mom were in Beacon Hills at the same time. Brunski killed her Mom and Meredith knew her Mom and she didn't take the news well. I thought she was going to kill Meredith. Now she's just sitting here, quiet. But she did talk to your Mom, so I know she's not catatonic." He didn't want to tell Scott that it seemed to be happening more often, that Cat was getting lost in her mind more and more.

Scott sighed. "We need a lot of help. If anything changes, tell her to call me, she can meet us."

"Meet you where?"

Stiles let out a strangled noise as he spun around and saw Cat standing right behind him, listening to their conversation.

"Jeeze, Cat. Don't sneak up on me."

"Sorry." Came her monotonous reply. "Meet him where?"

"I'll text you the location, Cat." Scott said through the phone. "They're not fighters, we need help."

"I'll meet you there." She promised, stepping back to sit on the chair.

"Stupid idea." Stiles muttered. "I'll call you later." He hung up, moving to sit on the bed in front of Cat.

"I don't think you should go." He told her.

She sighed. "You heard Scott. They're not fighters, they need my help."

"Cat." He cried. "You need help, you're clearly not okay."

Her eyes snapped up to meet his. "Clearly not but there are people out there, willing to kill almost everyone I love. So no matter how I'm feeling, I need to put it aside and save everyone."

Stiles scooted to the edge of the bed, reaching over to grab her hand with a small sigh. "When it's all over, we're going to figure it out, I promise."

"I know. I just- wish I knew why and what. Did she have something to do with the dead pool?"

"We have no reason to think she could be. But we will figure it out."

She nodded, leaning forward to kiss him. "I don't know what I'd do without you. Thank you for keeping me grounded."

"Hey, I love you, I will always be here for you."

She smiled, giving him another kiss. "And I love you."

"I didn't get to tell you this earlier but I love the hair." He told her, fingering her new locks. "The news did it, huh?"

She looked at him in surprise.

"You always change it when something big happens and you can't figure out how to use your emotions."

Her eyes widened even more in surprise, not realizing he paid that close attention to her. Her eyes welled up and she could only kiss him.

"If things seem too much, you can always talk to me." He gently reminded her.

She nodded, leaning back from him. "I know. Now, you need to go for an MRI, don't think I didn't hear Mom earlier."

"The last one was just paid off." He muttered.

Cat raised an eyebrow at him. "Shall I say anything or just glare at you? I swear to god, if you say anything about money, I'll knock you out myself."

He rolled his eyes as Melissa opened the door, announcing that she hadn't found a tape player yet but found a visitor for them. She stepped aside and Malia walked in, her eyes sliding past Stiles to land on Cat. She ran towards the much smaller girl, pulling her up into a hug.

"I just talked to Lydia. She's at the station waiting for Meredith to talk but she told me what happened. I'll claw her throat out for you."

"It's okay.' Cat told her, untangling herself. "I'm okay and we'll figure it all out later. So nothing to worry about." She glanced over at Stiles to see his eyebrow furrowed in worry as he looked at Malia. She grabbed the coyote's arm and told Stiles they would be right back, pulling her outside.

"Did you pull me out here to tell me you actually want me to rip her throat out?" Malia asked. "Because I've seen how Stiles is with you and I feel he would be okay with that."

She shook her head. "No, I need something else from you. I had a vision-" She lied. "In it you were helping Stiles, so I need you to stay here, he's going for his MRI soon. Make sure he goes but after that, I see you helping him with the tape. Can you please do that?"

Malia scrunched up her nose. "We've barely talked."

"And I need you to put that aside for now, so you can help him figure this out."

"I'm not the brain here, Cat. That's you or Lydia."

"You're smart, Malia, so yea, you can figure it out. But my visions don't lie, you're a big part of this, so will you please help?"

The taller girl sighed. "For you, of course."

"Good. I'm going to say goodbye to Stiles, We'll meet up after everything, okay?"

Malia nodded, watching Cat run into the room and have a brief conversation with Stiles before kissing him goodbye. She left the room, amidst Stiles protests, giving Malia's hand a small squeeze as she walked by. The coyote let out a small sigh before walking back into the room, knowing it was time she talked to Stiles.

… … …

Cat sighed as she pulled up outside the warehouse that her, Scott and Chris Argent had fought Kate and her berserkers in when they were looking for Violet. She really hoped that meant he got a hold of Argent because if this pack wasn't fighters, they needed all the help they could get.

She got out of her SUV, opening the trunk and pulling up the false bottom to access some of her weapons. She hid various knives on her in the hidden pockets of her purple leather suit, grabbed some guns, even though she knew Scott would frown upon them, and her bow and arrows, her quiver, chock full of tranquilizer arrows. She entered the warehouse, stopping to listen for everyone and she could hear a cupboard or something being closed and someone slowly creep forward. The whistling of a knife being thrown, followed by a low grunt and then the growl of a werewolf. Cat was already running forward to see Chris Argent standing in front of Brett, the werewolf from Davenport Prep, a gun aimed at him. Cat stepped in between them, facing Brett as she pushed him back, glaring fiercely as he growled at her.

"Why would you step in front of my gun?" Chris cried in disbelief. "I could've shot you Cat."

"Because you weren't going to shoot Brett." Came her reply.

"Brett, this is his place." Scott yelled, running towards them. "Cat, you made it."

"Scott." Chris began, walking towards the Alpha. "If you bring in guests, you could've called."

"I didn't have anywhere else to take them."

The older man glanced around at all the werewolves, currently hiding in his warehouse.

"I know this man." An older woman announced as she stepped forward. Cat could feel the power radiating off of her and knew it was the one she heard so much about, Satomi. "He may not remember but we've met before."

"You can trust him." Cat said, stepping up beside Chris. "He's good people."

The older werewolf turned to her, scrutinizing her with a look. "Who are you?"

"Cat." She replied.

"You are the one who should not exist."

Cat raised her chin in defiance as she stood up taller.

"Cat is here to help." Scott said.

"Could she not see a place to hide us away where we would not be found?" The other Alpha asked.

Cat turned to Scott with a raised eyebrow, letting him be the one to answer her question.

"When we were up against the Nogitsune, some stuff happened and Cat doesn't exactly get the visions she used to. She's still very useful in a fight though."

"Interesting." Satomi replied, staring at the younger girl in purple leather with the mask, before turning back to Chris. "And how do we know he's not like the others?"

"What others?" Chris asked "Last night, there was a whole team after them." Kira explained, holding out an arrow. "And they used crossbows."

Chris took it from her, looking it over.

"They're hunters, aren't they?" Scott asked.

The other man glanced up at him. "Not if they're killing for profit. Not anymore."

"Can they find us?" Brett asked.

"They might already know you're here." Chris admitted. "They might be waiting for dark."

"So we're not safe here." Kira whispered, looking up at Scott.

"We're not safe anywhere." Satomi interjected. "We've been trying to get out for days. But everywhere we turn, there's someone new trying to kill us."

Chris stepped towards Scott, motioning Cat closer. "If they're coming, they're coming for you two. You're the top of the dead pool."

"I know." Scott replied. "I know Lydia can get some answers from Meredith, she just needs more time."

"In the meantime, Stiles and Malia are working on a way to stop payments. Shut that down, you stop the dead pool." Cat told them.

"Isn't that more up your alley?" Chris asked.

She shrugged. "more up Stiles alley. I'm needed here." She looked at Scott. "We need to call Derek and Braeden."

"I have some motion sensors to detect anyone coming in." Chris told them.

"I have some trip wire and stuff in my car." Cat said with a grin. "I think we can stop some before they even come in."

"Go get it." Chris told her. "Bring anything you think can help."

She nodded, heading out towards her SUV and opening up the trunk to pull the false bottom out.

"Why shouldn't you exist?" Someone asked behind her.

She glanced behind her to see Brett and a younger girl, his sister by the looks of it, watching her.

"I'm a Seer." She told him, turning back to her supplies to see what she could find.

"What does that mean?" Brett asked, moving closer.

"That I shouldn't exist." She replied with a cheeky grin.

She saw him roll his eyes as the two siblings finally stepped up beside her and her grin grew wider. "Seers were hunted to extinction hundreds of years ago by order of the Alpha Pack at the time. Some managed to escape, including my family. So I'm not supposed to exist, yet here I am."

"Why?" Brett's sister asked.

Cat could only shrug, reaching into the trunk and loading up the other two with some supplies. "It's too dangerous for us, I guess. Especially if we're bitten. Then it's too dangerous for everyone else."

"So why can't you do what Satomi says and hide us somewhere?" Brett asked.

"Exactly why we said." Cat said with a frown, not wanting even more people to know about her. It would be far too dangerous. "Ever since the Nogitsune, I haven't been the same. You guys want to learn to set some traps?"

Brett's sister nodded, her eyes lighting up and Cat led them back inside to show them some of her tricks.

… … …

Later, Cat stood at a table beside Braeden, checking over her guns and making sure she had enough ammo.

"You have a good haul." The other woman told her. "You think about becoming a mercenary? There's good money in it."

Cat gave her a faint smile as Scott walked past them. "I'm a high school junior. I'm just thinking about surviving until graduation."

"Fair enough."

She finished hiding more weapons on her before drifting towards Scott and Derek.

"They may have claws and fangs but their not fighters." Derek reminded him.

"That's why I called you." Scott informed him.

"Well, try to remember that I don't have claws and fangs anymore either."

"That's why he called me." Braeden said with a grin.

"Am I still the only one just hoping this is all a false alarm?" Kira asked. "I mean it is possible we can wait here all night and nothing happens, right?" She looked around at the others who were exchanging glances of disbelief. None of them truly believed that.

"Have you heard from Stiles and Lydia yet?" Derek asked.

"Lydia's still trying to talk to Meredith." Scott started.

"Malia and Stiles are on their way to the Lakehouse. They'll be able to stop it." Cat finished.

"What if there is no stopping it?" Brett asked, causing them all to turn and look at him. "What if it doesn't end until we're all dead?"

"Then let's send a message." Derek said. "Let's make something perfectly clear to anyone who has a copy of that list. It doesn't matter if they're professional assassins, hunters, or amateurs with a gun. Anyone who thinks they can hunt and kill us for money, they get to be put on another list, our list. They get to be a name on our dead pool."

"Alright, prebattle speech done." Cat exclaimed. "Now we wait."

"Trip wires done?" Chris asked, having finished setting up his gadgets.

"Yes." Cat replied. "We have an early warning system for when they show."

Scott grabbed her arm and pulled her aside to talk to her. "Are you okay to do this though?"

She shrugged. "I'll get through this, I have a lot of anger to get out."

"Stiles seemed pretty worried about you."

"Stiles is always pretty worried about me." She replied with a faint smile, "There's so much going on Scott and honestly, sometimes, I feel like I'm losing it. It's scary."

"We'll figure it out." He promised, pulling her into a hug. "We'll figure everything out."

She nodded, allowing herself to relax against him. It was brief as beeping began to sound throughout the building.

"They're here." Chris announced.

Cat grinned as she heard a bunch of bodies hitting the floor and cursing. "And apparently stupid as shit."

Canisters came flying in, releasing smoke as they hit the floor and Braeden yelled for everyone to get back.

Cat grabbed Scott and dropped down to the ground as shots filled the room.

"Be safe." She whispered to him before she army crawled to where Chris was hiding behind a pillar. She stood up beside him, grabbing the gun that was slung over her back as she looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

He gave a slight nodding, counting down from 3 before they both jumped out from either side and began shooting at the intruders.

"There's way too many." Cat yelled. No matter how many they took down, more and more kept coming. She dropped her now empty gun, diving to the side and rolling to her feet in time to see someone aiming a gun at Scott. She jumped at him, knocking him out with a punch to the head as she pulled out a gun from her thigh holster and began shooting at a guy that was advancing towards Satomi. The Alpha gave her a small nod of thanks and she turned around again, stumbling backwards as a bullet hit her left shoulder. She shot the guy in the leg, walking forward and punching him in the face to knock him out.

"Kira. Cat." Scott yelled.

The tiny Seer popped up to face him, only hissing as she was shot again this time in the arm. She pulled out her bo staff and began hitting everyone nearby as she made her way to Scott.

"I told Brett to get the others back. Someone needs to make sure they're okay." Scott instructed.

She nodded, moving off to where they had sent the werewolf pack to hide. She was able to dodge most bullets, only stumbling again when one hit her leg

"Brett? Brett, where are you?" Cat heard the voice and recognized it as Brett's little sister. She changed direction and came upon a man in full gear his gun raised at the girl and in that moment, Cat went full werewolf, growling as she jumped at him, tackling him to the ground.

"She's just a girl, you unfeeling bastard." She snarled, grabbing his head and repeatedly slamming it into the ground. She heard his helmet crack and she pulled out her gun, aiming it at his face and ignoring him holding out his hands in surrender. Behind her there was a loud whimper and she glanced back to see Brett, now helping his sister to her feet as they both stared at her in shock. The blue bled from her eyes and it took her a moment to notice that the gunfire had ceased all around them. She looked around in confusion, seeing Scott holding up a phone for the guy below him to read. He caught her eyes, gesturing to the phone and she reached down to pull out the phone of the guy she held the gun on.

BENEFACTOR: ALL CONTRACTS TERMINATED.

Cat turned the phone towards to guy so he could read it.

"Get out." She snarled as she dropped the phone and stood up, moving the gun away from his face. "You have two minutes and then I'm adding you all to my dead pool."

He nodded and she turned away, moving to check on Brett and his sister.

"You're like us." He said. "You said you were a Seer."

She sighed. "I'm both. Are you guys okay?"

"You saved me." His little sister cried throwing her arms around Cat.

Cat groaned in pain, hugging the girl back before turning towards Scott and Kira as everyone began to converge in the middle of the warehouse.

"Is it over?" Kira whispered. "really over?"

Cat reached into an inside pocket and pulled out her phone, seeing a text from Stiles, saying they turned it off.

"It's over." Cat said with a small grunt, pulling her jacket off and grabbing a knife.

"Are you okay?" Scott asked, turning to look at her and seeing the holes in her.

"I'm healing." She told him. "There's just one stuck in me." She lined up the knife with the bullet wound in her shoulder, ready to dig it out when Scott stilled her hand.

"Let me, you've done it for me."

She nodded, handing him the knife as Derek walked towards them, grabbing Cat's other arm to make sure the bullet wasn't in that wound.

"What about you guys?" Cat asked. "I'm fine."

"I made sure I wasn't shot." Derek told her.

"I'm healed already." Scott replied as he began digging the bullet out.

"I was once told you can't be two things at once." Brett said.

Scott stopped, glancing up at Cat who gave a small sheepish smile.

"You can't." She quietly replied.

"But-"

"It's not something we can get into right now." Cat said, pulling her arm away from Derek to gesture to the bodies still on the ground. "We need to see who's dead or alive and get them medical help."

"Why should we help them?" Someone in the pack asked. "They tried to kill us."

"We aren't Monsters. We're not the monsters they want to think we are." She hissed as Scott cut the bullet out and she gave him a grateful smile. "We're even."

"For this." He replied with a lopsided smile. "What now?"

"We help and then we sleep. We're exhausted."

"We're alive." Kira whispered.

… … …

"Cat." Melissa yelled up the stairs. "Can you come down here? I need to talk to you and Scott."

"I'll call you back." Cat told her boyrfriend. "Or come over after."

"We still need to talk about important things." Stiles told her. "Come over."

"I will. Love you." She hung up, dropping her phone on the bed, along with some college brochures she had been looking at, before running down the steps where Scott and Melissa sat at the dining room table. Melissa had a stack of papers in front of her and Scott just looked confused. Cat didn't need psychic powers to know where this was going as she spun around and tried to walk out of the room.

"Just because you can see the future and know how this talk will end, doesn't mean we're not going to have it."

"Dammit." Cat muttered, turning back around and sitting down across from Melissa.

"What's going on?" Scott asked, looking between them.

"That's what I'd like to know." Melissa said, handing a stack of papers to each of them. "I went to call some utility companies to make payment arrangements because I found it odd that no one had contacted me lately about payments. They informed me that not only was I caught up but I was months ahead. I asked them to send me the paperwork. Would either of you care to explain how all my utilities are paid off for the next 2 years?"

Cat and Scott exchanged a look. The alpha had a small smirk on his face that he couldn't hide, Cat rolling her eyes at realizing the jig was up.

"Someone needs to start talking." Melissa pressed, looking between the two. "Where did this money come from? This better not be the money from the dead pool. That money belongs to Derek."

Cat sighed. "Scott returned the money already. I paid it."

Melissa let out a loud woosh of air, as though a small part of her had been hoping that neither of the teens knew about the money.

"How?" She quietly asked.

"The trust fund from my Mom and Grandmother were released to me early. Apparently the Calhoun's led simple lives but were pretty well off."

Melissa's jaw dropped as she stared at her.

"My mom started that trust well before I was born. It's grown immensely." Cat continued. "I guess when you can see the future, you tend to make a lot of good choices in stocks and bonds and the likes."

"I can't acc-"

Cat cut her off. "You can because it's too late. Mom, you work hard. Harder than anyone I know. You've raised an amazing son and taking in some strays along the way, despite the financial burden. You've taken me in, you've treated me like a daughter and I will spend the rest of my life showing you how grateful I am, whether you want me to or not."

Melissa's hand covered her mouth to hold back the sob as tears sprung to her eyes.

"Mom?" Scott asked, finally speaking up.

"I know you don't expect this." Cat whispered, staring hard at Melissa. "I know you don't want to accept it either but it's done. And that's why I didn't tell you or the Sheriff about this. I didn't want you saying no."

"Wait, you did this for him too?"

Cat nodded.

"Oh honey." She sobbed, standing up and moving to throw her arms around Cat. "It's not up to you to look after us. We're the parents."

Tears flooded Cat's eyes as well. "I know. You guys have looked after us and you'll always look after us but I want to help. Please Mom, let me help."

Melissa hesitated before slightly nodding against Cat's head.

"I can't believe you talked her into this." Scott whispered in disbelief before joining them and throwing his arms around them.

"I'm not stupid enough to argue with a Seer." Melissa mumbled.

Through her tears, Cat began to laugh.

… … …

"You used the front door?" Stiles asked in confusion as he answered Cat's knock.

"Yes." She replied with a groan.

"Are you okay?" He asked, seeing her red puffy eyes.

"Yes. Melissa knows." She told him. "That's why I used the front door . Because I know without a doubt that she called your-"

"Ah, Catalina." The Sheriff interrupted as he came down the stairs. "Just the person I wanted to see."

Cat sighed, moving into the living room and sitting down.

"What's going on?" Stiles asked, looking thoroughly confused. "Melissa knows what? Why do you need to talk to Cat, Dad?"

"Was my son a part of this?" His Dad asked.

Cat shook her head. "He found out after. And before you say anything, I won't take it back or accept payment for anything."

He stared down at her as Stiles looked between them both, still confused by what was going on. Finally his Dad let out a small sigh.

"Let's go for dinner kids, my treat."

"What?" Stiles asked. "But Dad, what about-"

"Apparently I have some extra money now that Eichen and your MRI is paid off."

"That's it?" Cat asked. "I thought you would put up more of a fight."

"You're psychic, didn't you know how this would end?"

"Yes, with you arguing a lot more before I angrily told you there's no takebacks."

"Next time, just tell me." The Sheriff warned her. "My son keeps enough secrets from me, I don't need you doing it too."

"What's going on?" Stiles asked.

Cat stood up patting his shoulder as she followed his Dad out to car. "We're going for dinner, time to go."

"What's going on?" Stiles muttered again before following his girlfriend and Dad outside.

… … …
