++++++ To Bellas2Silly - Thank you for your review! I will be doing Avengers and Captain America 2 as well as Thor, Agents of SHIELD and the X-Men movies. I will also be doing Howard and Maria's death as sad as that will be. Can't skip over that because it honestly just wouldn't be right if I did ++++++
++++++ To LadyRocelyn - Thank you for your advice, I won't worry about the gaps in her timeline. Cheers for the review ++++++

Tony Stark, 20th May 1970
The great thing about the sixties and the seventies is the music.
The Beatles, Pink Floyd, the Who, the Rolling Stones and Black Sabbath…great bands…all of them. My favourite band was the Who, they had such fantastic music and it was so rocking.
I twirled the record Tommy around in my hands as I went to put the record on-I'm so glad that Charles let me indulge in my new hobby and it gave the students something to enjoy besides learning. It let them feel like they were somewhat normal, not all of them were warm to the idea of being a mutant. I'd pretty much moved into the mansion full time, only going away when SHIELD needed me for a job. Being a history teacher was fun, especially when I could regale the students with stories of Asgard.
Just as I went to put the record down my phone rang. Bouncing over to the phone on my wall near the bathroom, I answered it with a grin. "Morning," I grinned.
"Astrid!"
It was Howard on the other end.
I raised an eyebrow, Howard sounded panicked. "Hey Howard, what's up? Burnt off your eyebrows in another experiment again?" I chuckled.
"Maria's in the hospital!" he practically shouted into the phone.
"Ah," I laughed again. I knew this had been coming for a while, just over nine months ago, Howard had rung me to tell me that he and Maria were pregnant. I'd never seen him happier the whole time I knew him. "She had the baby yet?" I asked him, taking advantage of the extra-long cord to start packing.
"Water's broken, contractions are steady," Howard answered. I could almost hear him pacing through the phone. "Her parents are coming up from Florida, I figured you would want to be here."
"Yeah!" I practically shouted into the phone. "I'd be insulted if you didn't want me to be there. I'm just packing some clothes now! I can be there in five hours!" I was bursting with excitement, I could hardly wait to hold the newest Stark in my arms.
"Thank you," he breathed.
"See you soon," I grinned. I hang the phone up and finished packing my suitcase with a grin on my face. Howard was adamant that they were having a boy whereas Maria was set upon having a girl. I think she was too scared of them blowing things up in the driveway or the backyard. I picked up my suitcase and headed to Charles' office.
Charles was sitting in his office reading something, he looked up when he saw me and gave a slight smile. "Hello, Astrid. Going somewhere?"
I closed the door with a grin. "Yeah, Maria's water broke and she's having her contractions so I figured I would shake a leg down to Long Island and be there when the baby is born."
Charles grinned. "Of course. Take your time. I can get one of the other's to cover your classes."
"Thanks Charles!" I grinned, hugging him. Lately, Charles had been starting to lose his hair so he had opted to shave it all off. It really did make him look like a professor. Old man in a wheelchair, I smiled.
"That's impolite," Charles warned me with a slight grin on his face. Occasionally it was fun to let Charles into my mind and he would sometimes let me in his. We'd be in classes teaching and playing chess at the same time. I'd yet to beat him in a single game. Cleaver bastard. "How long will you be gone?"
"A week or two," I answered. "I'll call you if it'll be longer."
"Take the one of the cars," Charles smiled.
I picked my suitcase up and headed off down to the garage to pick from one of the many cars in the garage.
By the time I'd arrived in New York six hours later, Howard was walking backwards and forwards, rocking a small bundle gently in his arms. I paused in the doorway of the hospital room, a bouquet of flowers in one hand and a gift box in the other to watch master inventor and scientist be a first time father.
"Well look at you," I grinned, coming in. I sat the flowers on the table with the box and stopped by Maria first. She was lying there watching Howard. "How's he doing?" I asked her.
"Dazed," she grinned. "He was scared at first."
I chuckled. "So, what's the verdict? Boy? Girl? Sasquatch?"
"Boy," Howard answered, seemingly speaking for the first time. "Anthony Stark."
"Tony," I smiled. "Nice…I wish I could take a photo." I sat down in the chair beside Maria's bed. "How long did I miss it by?"
"Three hours," Howard answered. "Want a hold?"
"Stupid question," I laughed. Howard came over and gently gave me Tony, Maria gave me instructions on how to support his head with my arm and my hand. "He's so tiny," I grinned. I closed my eyes and kissed his head. "And that baby smell…I wish they stayed this tiny and cute forever…you guys are so lucky."
"So, Howard and I were talking," Maria started, shifting herself so she could sit up, "we'd like you to be Tony's godmother."
I stared at them. "Come again."
"Well since you're practically a god yourself," Howard shrugged, returning back to a teenage boy.
"Seriously, we think you'd be good for Tony," Maria chuckled with a yawn. "You don't age as fast as we do."
"What about your friends?" I frowned. "Since I'm the younger chick that Howard is obviously sleeping with. They don't exactly like me."
"Well too bad," Maria argued. "You're a part of this family whether they like it or not."
I looked at Howard than down at the baby in my arms. "Yeah…I'd love to be Tony's godmother…sounds kind of mob-ish."
Maria shook her head. "You and Howard…I swear."
I looked down into those baby brown eyes and smiled. Sometimes I wish that I could have what Howard and Maria had. But I was stuck on earth, never aging but watching the people I know grow older. Howard was getting a little grey around the edges and Maria had a couple of wrinkles. I handed Tony back to Maria when he started to scream, looking for a feed. "Back to you mummy," I grinned. "I'll take Howard to get something to eat. I passed your parents in the cafeteria. Time for a change of the guard."
Maria smiled. "Thank you."
I put a hand on each of Howard's shoulders and steered him out of the room.
