To Awesome as Annabeth- That's very true- I am not organised. And patience is a virtue- or so I've been told, I'm not very patient either :P Um, I am the writer here. What I say goes. MY WORD IS LAW! Or horrific deaths for all your favourite characters, but same difference. HARRY POTTER IS AMAZING! That was literally my first ever fandom- I was seven! :3

To spiesareawesome- I'll do my best! :D

Louisa couldn't take Leo anywhere! He had been feeling a bit better as of late- still no fire- and was able to potter about without smacking into too many walls and doorframes. She thought he could with a walk- their apartment was driving her crazy and he was more ADHD than she was; she could only imagine how he felt.

"I don't feel as cold." He told her, examining his calloused hands and waggling his fingers. "So hopefully any day soon." Louisa nodded, trying to focus on the road. "I can't believe I've voluntarily sat in a car you're driving."

"I will crash it." She warned, letting a young mother cross with her pram.

"I'll be quiet."

"Good boy." Leo watched her sidelong as she drove. They often teased her and didn't let her drive because she would probably doom them all. He half-suspected she was only driving relatively safe to prove that she could drive sensibly.

"Chica?" She hummed questioningly in response, drumming her fingers on the wheel as she glowered at the red light. When he said nothing, she looked at him quizzically from the corner of her eye.

Leo sighed. "Nevermind."

"What is it?" She demanded as the light flicked amber. She had a rule of being gone when the light was green. Amber was 'go' to her.

"Don't worry."

"Tell me." She instructed, reaching over to pinch his knee with a vice-like grip. Leo tried to dislodge her hand, but her stubbornness probably stretched more miles than those on his gauge.

"OK, uncle. I'll talk." Louisa smirked and let go. Leo checked that his knee hadn't been dislocated, trying to work up the courage his spontaneous outburst had spawned from seconds ago.

"Leo…" She warned.

"Hold on, I'm trying to reattach my leg." She muttered something- probably 'idiot'- but a small, amused smile worked its way onto her lips. "Lou…" He began carefully. Then he found he was unable to continue. Sighing again, he massaged his forehead, debating with himself if he should carry on talking or come up with something else.

"Ya can talk ta me 'bout anythin'." She reminded him.

"I know. It' s just… you won't like this."

"Try me." She dared, but he saw her grip tighten on the wheel.

Leo did something very stupid then. Very brave or very stupid, but most likely very stupid. Much more stupid than usual and that was saying something.

"You ever thought about kids?" Her eyes widened and she inhaled sharply, slamming on the brakes. Leo was glad they opted to wear seatbelts. Horns blared from behind them, angry shouts muffled by the windows. Usually, she'd have shouted them down, but Leo could see it in her eyes- Bradley.

Thinking about it, it shocked him that it had only been a month ago, roughly. "Obviously not right this second." He corrected. "Whenever you're ready."

"Leo… I-I don't…" She gathered herself, shaking her head and pulling over. A few rude hand gestures were sent her way from the annoyed drivers, but she paid them no attention.

"I'm sorry, Lou. I shouldn't have said anything." He reached out tentatively, placing his hand on the small of her back in the hope of reassuring her. He recognised she was staring unseeingly at the fuel gauge and taking slow, shaky breaths. Leo silently cursed himself for bringing it up. "I really am sorry. I just… I just wanted to know and-"

"N-no, it's… it's OK…"

"It's not. That was uncalled for. I shouldn't have said anything," He repeated, "you're still hurting from… what happened." She looked at them then, tears obscuring her vision.

"I-I don't… I don't know. I don't… I don't want ta… ta hurt you, Leo. What… what if it… if it happened again? What if it always happened?" He saw she was working herself into a right state, trembling, but defiantly trying to keep herself in check.

"Whatever happens, I'll be with you every step of the way." Her eyes found his, hope creeping in. "I promise." He added, taking her hand. She smiled then, a smile that told him she liked that promise, was grateful for it and wasn't going to beat him up too much.

She squeezed his hand tightly, almost painfully. "Uncle." Leo said instantly, hoping he would get out of the worst of the beatings by chickening out early.

"Killjoy."

"Violent."

"I know. Thank you." Her smile softened a fraction- she wasn't just thanking him for calling her violent.

She was thanking him for being him.

OK, it was a Leoisa chapter, but I mentioned Leoisa babies! That's got to count for something :P
