Jack woke up hearing the clock alarm going off. He reached over Jerry to shut it off to notice he was still sound asleep with his back facing him.
"Jerry come on time to get up." Jack said before shaking him lightly by the shoulder.
Jerry gave out an annoyed groan in response. Jack got up then headed for the bathroom. After he came back in Jerry was still in bed sleeping much to Jack's annoyance.
"Come on you lazy ass get up before I drag you out." Jack dared.
"Forget school I wanna sleeeepp." Jerry groaned.
"Can't say I didn't warn ya." Jack declared. "Okay, okay I'm up." Jerry barked.
Jerry finally got up not willing to test Jack's motive. He then went to the bathroom himself while Jack got dressed for the day. Down stairs Jack fixed himself a bowl of cereal then sat at the table to eat. Jerry came down minutes later with a dull look on his face. Jack caught sight of his expression, but then dismissed it to finish eating. Jerry shortly got a bowl himself much to his disappointment.
"What's with the look?" Jack asks him raising his eyebrow.
"You woke me up you could have at least made me a bowl too." Jerry tested.
"I'm not going to wait on you if that's what you're getting at; just because your mom did don't think it's going to be expected here cause it won't." Jack said bluntly. "Look I'm a little testy this morning and I'm sorry." He added.
"I was only playing or trying too any way." Jerry replied.
Jack stood up and placed his bowl in the sink. He walked up to Jerry and placed a small peck on his cheek.
"I love you even when I'm testy." Jack lightly teased to ease the tension that was building.
"Well don't quiz me I hate tests." Jerry replied grinning.
Jack shook his head as he smiled before getting his books together in his backpack.
They both made it to school meeting up with Kim and Milton near the lockers by the main stair case hanging out. Jerry and Milton quickly headed off to get to geometry as it was a ways to get there. Kim was sitting at the base of the stairs with Jack next to the lockers when something unexpected caught her attention. She noticed Grace was walking past them in her cheer leading outfit with Jack in all stare towards her as she met up with the rest of the prep squad. Kim then got up pulling Jack with her to the side.
"What was that?" Kim asked in a very demanding tone.
"What was what?" Jack asked back with a laugh.
"Don't pretend like I didn't see that Jack." She noted while staring him down.
"See what?" Jack asked getting a bit defensive.
"Grace? I saw you checking her out Jack." Kim told bluntly.
"No I wasn't." Jack denied raising his voice.
Kim folded her arms and continued to glare at him with a raised eyebrow.
"Then why were you staring at her from front to rear?" she asked, "I'm not blind you know." she added.
"Alright fine you caught me happy." Jack replied angrily.
"So what's this mean Jack are you not gay?" she asked.
"No, I'm not gay Kim." Jack replied softly.
"Then why are you with Jerry?" she asked with a faint pause. "You really are pitying him." she accused.
"I love Jerry, Kim! I'd never do that to him okay." Jack struck defensively.
"Then what is it Jack you owe me that at least." she claimed.
"I'm bisexual if you must really know." Jack confessed.
"Wow I didn't see that coming wait does Jerry even know?" she questioned.
"No he doesn't!" Jack yelled slightly in desperation. "He can't know either so you can't tell him." Jack pleaded.
"Why? What's the big deal Jack?" Kim wondered.
"Because I don't want Jerry to get hurt. Look we both know he puts on this tough guy look, but I know he's real sensitive underneath all that and if he were to find out then he would be worried all the time feeling jealous because of it." Jack explained.
"Jack don't you see you are pitying him hiding this from him for what." Kim pointed out.
"Call it what you want Kim I know what I'm doing." Jack defended.
"Jack there will be a day where either you'll have to tell him or watch it back fire at you. Will you know what to do then?" she declared.
"I know okay. Just promise me you won't tell him please." Jack plead desperately.
"Fine I won't say anything, but I hope it's worth it to you Jack." she replied in an angered tone.
Kim walked off to get a head start to her class. Jack stood there with his head down until the first bell rang. He along with many of the other students cleared the hallway to head to their classes. Throughout each of his morning classes Jack couldn't stop thinking about the conversation he had with Kim. When the lunch hour finally came around he went to seek out Jerry. He found him towards the lunch line which Jack quickly pulled him before he could join it.
"Jack?" Jerry questioned him. "I need to talk to you right now, but not here." Jack replied softly.
Jerry nodded then they both headed up to the main hall near the main stair well.
"Listen this isn't easy for me to say and probably won't be easy for you to hear." Jack started.
"Jack whatever I did I'm sorry please don't-" Jerry quickly said before being cut off.
"You didn't do anything I did and I don't feel good about it." Jack interrupted.
"You deserve the truth so here it goes. Jerry, I'm bi. I should have" Jack started. "Jack I know." Jerry said while Jack was still talking. "told you, but I was afraid tha- Wait you know?" Jack cut himself off slightly shocked.
"Well yeah." Jerry answered. "How?" Jack asked.
"I maybe clueless, but I'm not oblivious Jack." Jerry stated with a laugh.
Jack showed a slight look between shock and surprise. "So you're okay with this?" Jack wondered.
"Yeah of course." Jerry reassured.
"Oh that's relief for me to hear you say that I was worried that Kim may say something-" Jack said happily before Jerry cut him off.
"Hold on a second. You told Kim before you told me why would you do that?" Jerry reacted offensively.
"What no of course not she only-" Jack tried explaining desperately, but again got cut off.
"No you know what don't bother you know how many people have hurt me Jack I just never thought you'd be one of them." Jerry slightly snapped then walked off hastily and upset.
"Jerry wait." Jack called out with a plea, but he was already gone.
"Dammit!" Jack yelled in frustration.
Some of the students looked in Jack's direction after he had shouted. He looked around briefly not realizing he earned himself unneeded attention then quickly left the area. Jack headed to English class after lunch period was over; Kim was already in her seat when she noticed him. Jerry stepped in with a pause seeing Jack, but sat over in the opposite side of the room away from him. Jack looked at him with a pleading look all while Kim was observing the two's actions. After class Kim went up to Jack before he could leave to find out what was going on.
"Did you tell him or something?" she asked.
"Yeah, I told him and it turns out he knew about it the whole time even before you noticed." Jack replied heavily.
"Then why is he so upset?" She asked with concern.
"Because he thinks I told you before I told him. You know if you hadn't said anything and made me feel guilty none of this would have happened. The next time you feel like you want to know something just leave it alone alright." Jack said very churlishly.
"Oh so this is all my fault is that what you're saying Jack?" She asked defensively.
"Do you see me talking to anybody else here?" He answered harshly. "I got to get to my next class." he stated still heated.
"Fine! See how I care for only trying to be your friend Jack." Kim expressed before storming out.
Jack too headed out for his next class and as he did he had settled down now realizing not only was his boyfriend mad at him, but so was his best friend. He sat down in his chair lying his head down disappointed within himself for blowing up the way he did on Kim as well thinking how to fix things with Jerry. Jack popped his head back up to see Jerry was talking to the teacher. She pointed over to one of the chairs in the front to Jerry. After Jerry took a seat Jack knew he had asked the teacher for a new spot to sit as he and Jerry would normally sit next to each other in this class.
"Alright class please open your books to page 132." The teacher instructed.
Jack went to comply when he noticed he had grabbed the wrong text book from all that's happened his mind was far off to think of anything else to pay attention normally.
"I will be giving a test out on Friday which will make up fifty percent of your grade so pay close attention and study hard." the teacher continued on, but Jack's focus was far from her attention compared to his own thoughts.
Jack managed to get by as the class ended, but what good will it do him later on is hard to say. Jack continued on through the rest of his classes just wanting the school day to end so he could patch things up for the better. The final bell rung finally to Jack's relief. He quickly darted out only for him to get a small glance of Jerry already walking out of the school. Just then he remembered he had to go to the dojo for the coming tournament that Bobby had signed him up for. Jack gathered his things from his locker then proceeded to make way over to the dojo.
"Good Jack you're here we can now get started." Rudy implied when seeing him enter in the dojo.
"Fine let's just get this over with." Jack said distastefully.
Jack trained with Rudy not doing very well as Rudy seen he wasn't even trying to focus with any effort.
"Stop, stop Jack what's with you it's like you're not even trying." Rudy asked disappointedly.
"I'm sorry Rudy. I just really messed some things up and it's all I can think about." Jack explained.
"Well you can't train in this state so go fix whatever you need to do so okay." Rudy insisted.
"But I gotta train I can't just blow it off now." Jack thought.
"Don't matter Jack I didn't even want you in this competition to begin with, but Bobby insisted look just handle your needs first then when you're ready to train I'll still be here okay." Rudy reassured.
Jack felt grateful towards Rudy's gesture. He headed off over to Kim's house since her place was nearest to the dojo. He knocked on her door when he arrived; she opened the door little shocked seeing him then gave him a glare.
"Came to tell me more of how a bad friend I am?" she tested.
"You're not I am for the way I acted and I'm sorry Kim I was so upset having Jerry upset with me, but you were just being how a friend should be and I shouldn't be mad at you for that." Jack stated and apologized.
"Thank you Jack." she replied happily. "So are you and Jerry also good?" she asked softly.
"I haven't talked to him I had to go to the dojo, but Rudy let me leave to fix my mistakes." Jack replied.
"Then go talk to him Jack you and I are good okay." Kim assured him with a laugh.
"Thanks Kim I hope he'll talk to me though." Jack said.
"He has too if he truly loves you Jack." Kim mentioned.
Twenty minutes later Jack made it back to his house. He climbed up the stairs then looked down the hall towards Jerry's room. Jerry spotted Jack at the stair case then got up to close the door. Jack soon headed to his room to talk to him.
"Come on Jerry can we please talk about this it's all just a misunderstanding." Jack pleaded.
"I'm still mad at you Jack why won't you go talk to Kim instead." Jerry replied harshly.
"That's not fair Jerry please let me talk to you." Jack again pleaded.
"Leave me alone okay I'm trying to study here." Jerry barked.
"Study?" Jack mumbled to himself with a questioned look.
Jack and Jerry stayed apart from each other for the rest of the day even through the next school day. Kim was observing the two through most of it seeing Jack trying every chance he could to get through to Jerry, but he was still being stubborn. Jack tired to catch him one last time before he left, but again he pushed him away then left the school. Kim saw from the bottom landing of the stairs and realized how bad things were between them. An hour later a knock was made on the door at Jack's house. Jack answered it to see it was Kim.
"Kim? What are you doing here?" He asked suspiciously.
"I'm here to see Jerry just tell him someone's here to see him so he doesn't expect a thing." Kim implied.
"Jerry! Someone's at the door to see you!" Jack shouted up at the stairs. He nodded over to Kim before going into the kitchen.
Jerry came down the stairs very surprised to see Kim outside the doorway. He went up to her to see what she wanted.
"Kim?" he said a bit hasty.
She pulled him by the shirt to get him outside then she closed the front door. Then out of nowhere she punched him in the arm.
"Ouch!" he sighed out in pain. "What's that for?!" he barked angrily.
"You're an idiot you know that." she replied harshly.
"What do you want anyway?" He asked in an annoyed way still rubbing his arm off.
"This jealousy you have against me needs to stop seriously Jerry." Kim started.
"I'm not jealous of you Kim." Jerry insisted quickly.
"You so are can you not be more of a more on." she replied rudely.
"Are you just going to keep insulting me Kim?" He asked loosing his patients.
"Oh I could go on all day Jerry trust me, but that's not the point. What is though is that Jack never told me anything like you think he did. What happen was I saw him looking at Grace and I questioned him on it and he told me when I forced it so if you are to be mad be it at me okay." Kim explained, but not before insulting him more of course.
"Really?" Jerry whined which Kim nodded to him in reply. "I feel like such an-" Jerry started, "Idiot?" Kim added before he finish.
"I hate you." Jerry replied with a glare. "Please tell me what I don't already know." she smirked.
"I'm going to go back inside now." Jerry stated.
"I'm so glad we had this conversation." she teased. "Me too." Jerry agreed.
They both playfully gave each other weird faces before Jerry stepped back into the house.
Jack stumbled into the room right when Jerry had entered. They both looked at each other emotionless then Jerry griped Jack into a hug much too Jack's relief as he embraced the hug more.
"I'm taking this as you're longer mad at me." Jack said boldly.
"Not anymore I'm sorry Jack." Jerry replied softly. "I should be the one saying sorry after what this caused between us I know there just can't be any secrets between us and no more lies if we are to continue our relationship." Jack announced.
"What are you saying Jack?" Jerry asked softly.
"The full truth Jerry." Jack begun, "Me being bi isn't the only thing I've kept secret, but I've also been lying to you." Jack admitted. "What?" Jerry asked pulling away a bit.
"When I said I never had feelings for Kim well that wasn't fully true. When I first moved here I did at first, but something chanced that when the following year came." Jack stated.
"Tell me what was it?" Jerry asked again softly.
"It was you Jerry that's how long I've liked you for even before you were with Mika." Jack told truthfully. "I should have told you this a very long time ago I just didn't know how, but I think part of me didn't want too either." Jack added.
"Why now?" Jerry asked. "I don't know." Jack answered softly.
"Look you should never have to worry about me liking Kim as I told you one time before you're the only one that ever stood a chance to be with me like we are now. I love you Jerry no one else." Jack said deeply.
"Jack I'm glad you told me." Jerry replied. "But this changes us now." Jerry added.
Jack had a worried expression on his face. Jerry took note of it then assured him with a kiss.
"For the best Jack did you think the worst at first." Jerry teased a bit.
"You had me going there you damn tease." Jack replied. "But seriously Jerry from here on out let's promise to stay honest with each other no more lies I don't want anything like that to hurt us." Jack announced. "I agree Jack I will promise to that." Jerry smiled. "Same." Jack replied.
A couple days later Jack had gone back hard at work in training. Since revealing the truths to Jerry their relationship has taken a more deeper connection specially with the promise they made to one another.
After a full week had passed Jack's tournament came around to where he was more then ready. During the final match in which Jack of course made it too was readying to prepare. He stepped up to the mat facing his opponent ready to go. Jack glanced over at Jerry seeing him smiling at him made him that more confident. As the fight started Jack had a very strong start, however some time during the middle of the match he glanced back over to where Jerry was only to see him walk out the door. Jack still won the match and tournament, but was more curious to know where Jerry had gone and why.
Jack got back to the house only to see a trail of confetti and papered hearts on the floor leading all the way up to his room. Jack opened his door seeing Jerry there lying on his bed smiling and holding a sign that read: Will You Go To Prom With Me?
(AN: Okay so if it wasn't obvious Chapter 22 is 'The Prom' which will be coming soon of course. I know most of this chapter the two were on the outs, but I wanna try to make this story as real and true as close as I can make it I mean Jarry can't always get along 100 percent of the time ya know. Again story ideas please if you do have any that you would like me to do I'm begging ya to send them to me only two people so far have given me ideas to add out of the many times I've asked for them. Remember 50 chapters is the goal to reach why not make it our goal guys. I also wanna take this time to personally thank Charlie E. and Lisa S for you're guy's time to review and in helping supporting this story so from me I personally thank you two guest very much. As with everyone else who does their share in supporting the story I too personally thank you all so much cause without it this story would be nothing and I really mean that. Lastly I actually have to say I'm proud of the writers of the show as they did rewrite the final episode to S3. I mean as a fan of the show I'm happy to know that we'll know what will become of Kim after her departing of the show unlike with Eddy they didn't do that so I'm happy they are doing this for Kim at least. Also the story will still follow season 3 time line most likely when S4 comes around since I'm still keeping Kim around in it. Well that is all lol. Thanks again everyone.)
