A/N: I'm so so sorry this chapter took so long to finish. If you want the details keep reading, if not skip to the story. Anyways, what happened is I was writing the story, and I was just about done that chapter going to put it up later that day and whatnot. So then my friend calls and is like wanna hang out, so I'm like sure! So anyways when I came back the next day my computer was frozen. My little sister was on it and had it all messed up, pissed off much. So then school started like a day or two after that and then I was super busy since I'm taking chem. In my first year, which is difficult. Anyways I just got around to re-typing it now. Anyways enjoy the chapter I'll make it extra long because it took so long! Revieww!
Bella's POV
"Bella? Hi sweetie! How are you?"
"I'm brilliant mom, absolutely amazing. Well, I have something to tell you."
"Oh lord. What? You're not pregnant are you?"
"No! Mom! Of course not!"
"Oh, okay good. You're not engaged?"
"Mom! Stop guessing and listen!" I laughed quietly
"Okay, I'm listening."
"Thanks, okay, it's nothing big; I just wanted to tell you I have a boyfriend."
"Bella! That's amazing! What's his name? Does he do well in school? Who are his parents? Do I know him? What's he like? Tell. Me. Everything."
"His name is Edward Cullen, he's very smart, his parents are Esme and Carlisle Cullen, his fathers a doctor, and I don't think you know him, finally he's amazing, no - he's perfect. He saved me from Charlie." I said shuddering at the memory. Edward sat next to me smiling slightly and playing with my hair. His gold eyes were shining.
"Wait. You're living with him?"
"Well, yes but-"
"No butts. That is not acceptable; you are far too young to be having such a serious relationship. I don't want you to make the same mistakes I did. Bella, you have your whole life in front of you!"
"I know that mom, but-"
"Bella please…"
"Mom! His parents live here, I'm not moving back with Charlie, I'm not you! I won't make your mistakes, I'll make my own. You don't need to worry about this."
She took a deep breath. There was a long pause. "You're right Bella. I'm sorry."
"Thanks mom. Don't worry."
"You know to use protection?"
"Mom!" I shrieked into the phone. "It's not like that. My gracious mom!"
She laughed. "Okay, well, I'm going to go now sweetie, I love you, stay safe."
"I will mom, love you too." I hung up the phone shaking my head. I turned to Edward and snuggled into his arms. I could feel his chest moving from his laughter.
"What?"
"Use protection? Pregnant? Engaged?"
"My mom jumps to conclusions quickly." I said sheepishly
He laughed again, "I can tell." My smile fell, and I snuggled even deeper into Edward. He grasped me tightly. I sighed contently
"Come on Bella, let's go to the meadow."
"Okay." he picked me up and put me quickly on his back. "Wait. You're taking me on your back?"
"I'm quite a fast runner." He said quietly
Then we took off, out the window across the river and through the woods. I clenched my eyes shut hoping I wouldn't get sick.
"We're here." I opened one eye, then the other, I looked around we were in the shadows of the tree but I could see the light of the opening ahead. "You can let go now Bella."
"I know, I just kind of can't." he chuckled and pulled me off his back placing me next to him. "So, do we get to go out into the sun? I mean to say, sunny days don't happen often in Forks, I'd love to enjoy it." He smiled.
"Yes Bella love, go out and I'll be right behind you." I walked out into the sun letting my skin absorb the sun. I took a deep breath and sat on the grass. Then I looked up to see Edward take a deep breath and walk into the sunlight. I gasped, he was stunning, more stunning than normal and that was saying something.
"Edward." I breathed. "You're gorgeous!"
"Only as half as gorgeous as you are." I snorted.
"As if." He smiled.
"I mean it." He leaned down to kiss me.
We lay back onto the grass and I snuggled into his chest. "Edward…how come you haven't eaten me or bitten me or something?"
He laughed, but I wasn't relaxed, it was a tense laugh. "Because I would rather have you with me then stare at your lifeless body." He was serious, tense; I shuddered at the thought of him over me with his teeth to my neck. "I have never smelled anything more potent then your smell. Nobody smells as amazing as you."
"Do I smell good in a good way or a bad way?"
"Both, always both." I smiled he was so sweet. (A/N: direct quote from the book, love this quote btw.)
"So what are we doing for the remainder of the day?"
"We are taking the day off."
"That sounds good," I said rolling to lie on top of him. "Can I ask you a question?" I said, still lying on him. He smiled, playing with my hair.
"I believe you just did." I rolled my eyes
"Can I ask you something other than that question?"
"Yes, ask me anything you want."
"Okay, well, I want to know why you left me that night in my – err, our bedroom? When I was asleep, you were gone when I woke up the next morning."
He took time to think about this, probably how he should answer. I waited patiently for him to answer.
"I think… we should talk about this some other time. Because you are looking unbelievably kissable." I smiled and he pulled me down gently touching his lips to mine. I smiled again and he pulled away. I frowned
"That," I said to him, "Was not nice."
"What, pray-tell, was not nice about kissing my girlfriend?"
"What was not nice is pulling away so quickly, teasing me so much!" he laughed,
"Come on, we should be getting back. Have you gone to school lately?"
"Umm, well…to tell you the truth I've been really busy and school just hasn't been top on my priority you know, considering I was a mess because somebody," I said, putting emphasis on somebody, meaning him. "Kept breaking my heart. Hmmm, I wonder who that was? Oh yeah, I believe his name was Edward Cullen." He frowned.
"That, was not nice."
"Just proving my point." I told him with a smile.
"Well, tomorrow is a school day, so tomorrow we will both be attending school."
"Do we have to?" I whined
"Why yes, I believe we do." He scooped me up and ran through the woods back to his house. I kept my eyes shut enjoying the wind in my hair.
"Don't it a tree, don't hit a tree, don't hit a tree, don't hit a tree." I whispered over and over through out the run. I heard Edward laugh. Once we reached the house and he had put me on the grass I spoke.
"You know, you really should have been concentrating on running not on what I was saying." He laughed again
"Silly Bella, running is second nature to me." I frowned.
"You should still focus on running." I muttered
"Come on Bella love; let's go inside, I'm sure Alice is waiting to talk with you. Actually, she wants to take you shopping for our date on Friday."
"What date?"
"The one I'm asking you on now. Bella Swan would you like to go to supper and a movie with me this Friday night?"
"Why Edward! What a surprise, I would love to go to dinner with you!" he offered me his arm and I took it gladly. We walked into the house.
"BELLA! We are going shopping directly after school tomorrow! I am so excited aren't you!?"
"Just say yes and smile." Edward whispered in my ear.
"Yes, I am excited, can't wait." I smiled towards Alice and she skipped up the stairs happily, Jasper met her at the top and she grabbed his hand and pulled him up to her room with a smile on her face. I laughed a little and I noticed Edwards eye slid towards me. I cocked my head. Grabbed his hand and pulled him up to our room with the same smile that Alice had. Noticing I was copying Alice he smiled his perfect crooked smile and playfully pushed me down onto the bed. I kissed him gently and he kissed me back, I pulled him closer to me.
"Go to sleep Bella, we have school in the morning."
"I'd rather stay up with you."
"I'd rather you stay up with me to, but we both know I'm not letting that happen." I sighed and quickly pulled on my pajamas I climbed into the big queen sized bed and Edward wrapped his arms around me protectively.
"Good-night Bella, sweet dreams." I smiled and snuggled into his chest. He began to hum my lullaby and I drifted to dream land.
