I'm incapable of keeping a promise.

Hi.

So I said I'd update soon, and apparently this is soon. It's no 7 months, but I can do way better. I'll try harder.

Thank you for everyone who reviewed. I think I answered most of them, but I probably missed a few. Thanks especially to the guest reviewers who I can't reply to. Your reviews are honestly the best, and they give me so much motivation.

But yeah nothing much is up. So here's the chapter. Enjoy.

I woke up with a start.

My eyes popped wide to the morning sun. Light filtered through the curtains. A heavy arm was thrown over my body. My hand was curled around said hands' wrist, my body seeking out his even unconsciously. Edward snored lightly behind me, his breath puffing in out across my neck and hair. It slightly tickled, but for some reason, I found it oddly comforting. I inhaled a sigh and stretched timidly, trying not to jostle Edward's deep slumber. The feeling of waking up next to him was indescribable. I smiled unintentionally.

A hard knock on our door made me jump, and I realized that's what had woken me up in the first place. My little shake caused Edward to stir. He lifted his arm from my tiny torso, and I felt him stretch beside me. I rolled over just as he returned to his previous position. His sleepy eyes crinkled as he smiled at me.

"Hi." I greeted him. It came out as a squeak.

"Hey you." He uttered in his deep, extremely sexy, morning voice. I grinned in spite of myself. He pulled me into him then, wrapping his arms around me and tucking my face into his neck. I felt him sigh over my hair. "I'm gonna miss this."

"Me too." I murmured. I kissed his neck a few times, breathing him in.

"What time is it?" He asked lazily as his fingers ran through my hair.

"I have no clue." I answered honestly, laughing slightly.

"I'll check in a second. I just want to hold you right now." He admitted, and my heart melted into a puddle. My arms tightened around his waist. This was a perfect way to start the day, wrapped up in Edward's arms with my morning breath, sleep lines, and eye boogers. I didn't even want to imagine what I looked like. All I could think of was how it was going to be waking up alone in my cold, single bed. I dismissed the depressing thought, basking in Edward's glory instead.

Our sweet time together was short lived however. Another knock racked through the door.

"Wake up, love birds. Rose is here to see your sleepy asses. She's cooking you breakfast." Emmett called from the other side of the door. Edward grunted, but loosened his hold on me.

"We're up." He replied to Emmett.

"Then get your ass out here!" Edward groaned. I giggled.

"I'm going to miss him too." I said. Edward looked at me with a displeased face.

"Sorry, but I can't say the same." I just laughed more, and willed myself out of bed. I sought out my phone, which was on charge by the dresser. The time read 11:23. I looked through my missed calls first.

One call from my dad, four from Angela, one from Ben.

Guess they were just wondering when we'd pick them up.

Then I looked through my messages. This one was from last night.

Angela: Hey guys! I hope you had a great night. I just wanted to ask when you guys were coming over, so we can go get lunch just like you said.

The next one from Ben.

Ben: I know it's late, but could you give us a time so we'd be ready? We told Ang's Aunt that we won't be eating breakfast. Thanks.

Another from Angela. This one was from the morning, around 9.

Angela: Bella, we're up and ready to go, since you didn't give us a specific time. Call me when you get this.

More messages from Angela and Ben were delivered in my inbox, slowly growing more impatient and hungry. The last one was from 14 minutes ago.

Angela: K bitch, we were starving our asses for 3 hours, so my aunt had the courtesy to make us some brunch. You better call me quickly, or we're just gonna take a fucking train back to forks. I mean it.

I gulped.

"Hey Edward, remember when we made plans with Angela and Ben to have lunch before we left?" He hummed. "Yeah, they're pretty pissed that we forgot."

"Well shit," was Edward's brilliant reply

I called back Angela immediately. She seemed really angry at first, but after hearing my 5th apology, she seemed to cool off. I gave her a short recap of our night, and she gave me one of hers. Since they'd already eaten, thanks to us, we decided to pick them up at 1, so we could get back to forks in the evening. I hurriedly said goodbye, then hung up. I packed our few belongings while Edward used the washroom. I refused to go outside without getting properly dressed. Emmett's girlfriend was waiting in the living room, and I wanted to make a good impression.

Edward came in the room after a few minutes. He had freshly showered. He was vigorously drying the water out of his hair with a towel while I tried not to drool. He caught my eye, and winked, causing me to sprint out of the room like my hair was on fire. My skin sure was.

I opted to shower as well, and performed the daily routine. I tried to look a bit nicer, wearing a cute sweater and skinny jeans. The apartment smelled like bacon and scrambled eggs when I walked out of the washroom.

"Rose, can you fry me some more of that delicious bacon?" I heard Emmett in the kitchen.

"Gosh, that was your second helping! You're gonna get fat." A female voice spoke loudly over the sizzling pan.

"Don't worry, sweetheart. We'll burn it off when these two decide to leave." I could hear Emmett's smirk.

"Geez, don't be gross. I'm eating." Edward complained. Emmett scoffed.

"Yeah, like I didn't hear you two moaning like a bitch in heat early in the morning. It was like waking up to a porno." I could picture Edward's face in my mind; red and flushed. I didn't hear a comeback from my blushing boyfri- ahem, I mean, friend. Instead, I heard bubbly laughter.

"Oooo, little Eddie's got some game." The female teased Edward. This was the brilliant moment when I decided to walk in.

Edward was already sitting on the bar, his hair still wet, looking down and shoving toast down his throat like there was no tomorrow. Emmet was looking for something in the fridge, dressed casually in a white tank and cargo shorts. And by the stove, effortlessly frying some bacon was the most beautiful blonde I has ever seen. She was tall, with a swimsuit model figure. Her blue eyes were gentle, and her full lips were stretched out in an amused smile. I gathered that she was Rosalie, Emmett's infamous girlfriend.

Emmett was the first to notice me.

"Look who decided to wake up!" He called out. Edward looked up immediately. His face was just as red as I imagined it. He smiled when his eyes met mine.

"You must be Bella." Rosalie exclaimed. "I've heard so much about you, obviously. Edward wouldn't shut up." At this point, Rosalie was facing me in all her 5'10 glory and baby blue eyes and she was looking at me like I was a small puppy just rescued from the pound.

For that reason alone, I blushed. Her eyes widened at my red cheeks, and she turned to Emmett with an amused smile.

"Aw Emmett, look at her. She's actually blushing!" She laughed heartily. "She's so cute." This made me blush harder, and duck my face.

"Okay, okay, I'll stop." She greeted me. "So I'm Rosalie, as Emmett probably already mentioned, but you can call me Rose."

"Hi. It's nice to meet you." I replied meekly. Her face just turned even more fascinated.

"Aw, it's nice to meet you too." Rosalie smiled warmly. "We'll be super close. You can be the little sister I never had."

"Hey, let's not get too close." Emmett joked. "Next thing you know, they'll be comparing dick sizes. And we all know who's really going to win, so we shouldn't embarrass little Eddie like that."

The more time I spent with Rose, the more I discovered how perfect she was for Emmett. For one, she was gorgeous, so between her model face and Emmett's Cullen genes, they looked like Forbes hottest couple. Also, she had a great sense of humor, and wasn't afraid to sass at Emmett. She was funny without being mean, and also had a caring nature. I could see why Emmett was so crazy about her.

After frying the bacon for both Emmett and me, she cracked me an egg, sunny side up, and toasted some bread. When I tried to help, she insisted I was a guest and wasn't allowed. We sat by the kitchen counter and had a lovely breakfast. Emmett and Rosalie's banter was extremely entertaining to watch. They called each other names, roasted each other at every opportunity, and even threw tiny pieces of toast at each other. It was hard to eat through all the laughing.

It was an unspoken agreement that since Rosalie made the food, Emmett would clean up. He got up and cleared the counter, and started the dish washer.

"Em honey, could you get me a glass of water?" Rosalie requested.

"Sure thing." Emmett answered, grabbing a plastic cup and filling it with water.

"Pussy whipped." Edward remarked, coughing to cover up his diss.

"Says the guy who bought concert tickets and drove all the way to Seattle to impress a girl," replied Emmett. At that, Edward turned his face the other way, and seemed ridiculously interested in his bare feet. The gesture warmed my heart, so I leaned over and kissed his cheek. He grinned and grabbed my hand.

"Personally, I think its super sweet." Rosalie shared. "All Emmett did was take me to a Mariners game. And I don't even like baseball!"

"You sure liked what happened after, babe," Said Emmett, wiggling his eyebrows. Rose rolled her eyes. "I'm just saying, maybe you should take dating classes from your brother."

"I'd rather pop my eyeballs out, burn them and then feed the remains to crows."

It was rather sad saying goodbye to Rose and Emmett. However, they promised to come to Forks for Christmas, so it wasn't that bad.

"It was lovely meeting you, Bella." Rose said as she hugged me tightly.

"You too, Rose."

Next it was Emmett, he pulled me into a bear hug, similar to the one I received the day I first met him.

"You're a good kid, little Bella. Stay that way. Don't let my brother corrupt you." He told me. I giggled at his solemn tone.

"I'll try not to." He put me back on my feet then, and we waited as Edward and Rose said their goodbyes. Emmet helped us take out stuff down to the car, and they stood there while we loaded.

"Take care, kiddos." Emmett said. "And don't forget to tell mom I love her and I'll always remember that I'm her favorite child no matter what lies she tells you."

"You wish." Edward snorted, opening my passenger door. Once I got in, he shut it and walked over to his side. "Bye, Em. Bye, Rose. Take care. See you In December." He said while he got in.

"You betcha. And I want my room back!" Emmett called out.

"We'll see." Edward yelled back as he closed his door and started the car. We waved to Emmett and Rosalie and they waved back, and I saw them lean and kiss as we reached the corner and turned.

"You guys awake?" Angela asked from the passenger seat. The digital clock on the dashboard read 5:04 pm. Ben drove one handed; one hand on the steering wheel and one clasped in Angela's. We'd just passed the 'Welcome to Forks' sign, which meant we were home. That also meant I had only a few more minutes with Edward. My gut clenched, and I tightened my arm around Edward.

When we picked Ang and Ben up, we decided to ride in the back. Now, I was sprawled over Edward; my head on his chest, one leg thrown carelessly over his and an arm around his waist. His one hand was in my hair and the other hooked around my hip. We slept through most of the drive, but we were both wide awake now.

"Yeah." I replied to Angela. I could hear the sadness in my voice. Edward's hand that was on my hip moved up, wrapped itself around my waist and pulled me closer. Guess he was feeling it too. I raised my face up. He was already looking at me. His lips stretched into a sad smile, and I could feel my heart hurt.

"Hi." I mumbled.

"Hey." He kissed me then, soft and sweet. I kissed him back forcefully, all my feelings and thoughts shoved into that kiss, words I couldn't say and words that I'd said already. It was hard not to get carried away. He kissed me with the same passion, and for a few minutes, it was just us in our little bubble. And then Angela said "We're here," and just like that, our bubble was popped.

We dropped them off at Ang's house, because that's where Ben's car was.

"I'll call you tomorrow." I promised her while we hugged.

"You better." She replied.

"Really, though, thanks for making this possible. I owe it all to you." I told her sincerely.

"You don't owe it all to me. You owe some to me, and most to Edward." She joked. "And no problem. It really was my pleasure." I wiggled my eyebrows.

"Tomorrow." She repeated.

We said our goodbyes, promising to meet at school, and then we were off to Edward's. Esme met us at the door.

"So tell me, how was it?" She asked excitedly.

"It was everything I dreamed it would be and so much more." I answered truthfully.

"And how was Emmett? Was he nice to you?"

"Emmett was amazing. He was a little hard on Edward, but he was very nice to me."

"And did you get to meet Rose?" She asked again.

"Yes we did. She's so beautiful, and so kind. I loved her." I told her.

"We all love Rosalie. Well then, it's a good thing they're coming down for the holidays." She said.
"I know. I'm very excited." I replied.

I couldn't stay for long since Charlie was waiting for me, which also meant that Edward couldn't follow me home like he usually did. We unloaded his car and then I grabbed my stuff and threw it in the trunk. Esme gave us some privacy after hugging me goodbye, going inside to start dinner. Edward pulled me into a body crushing as soon as we heard the door shut.

"I know it's getting old, but thank you so much for the amazing trip. It was honestly the best weekend of my life." I murmured into his ear. Instead of replying to me like he usually did, he pulled me into a kiss. It was probably the most intense kiss we'd had. It was scorching, and his lips burned mine as they moved furiously, almost angry that our time together had came to an end. I felt the exact same way. I locked my arms around his neck, and his wrapped around my waist, keeping me crushed to him. Our tongues fought and danced, and my hands played with his hair. We couldn't stop, so we kept going until we couldn't breathe.

I could tell he was struggling to say something. He pressed his lips together, opened them to speak, and closed them again. At last he asked, "You'll be at school tomorrow, right?"

"Yeah." I answered.

"Good." He pulled me closer.
"Yes."

"Okay."

"Okay."

"Then I'll see you tomorrow." He finally said, pulling away. I stepped away from him.

"Yes you will." I answered, getting into my truck. He stood there as I drove away, his face distraught, his shape turning smaller and smaller until I turned onto the main street.
