Chapter 19 The investigation

~Jessica's POV~

"Exactly!" Undertaker replied. My whole body shivered, 'Sebastian? A demon? I'm in love with a demon?' Undertaker stood up looking at the direction of the door, I looked around to see the girl who attacked me earlier.

"W-where am I?" She asked. I moved behind Undertaker. "You're in my shop" he replied. I peeked to see the girl, she looked harmless than earlier.

"Who are you?" She asked "I'm the Undertaker and this" he moved to the side revealing me "Is Jessica Phantomhive" he continued, I punched him in the head then glared at him.

"Phantomhive?" the girl asked, we both looked at her, she only stared at us, I hid again behind Undertaker. "You're in danger" she said I froze then looked back at her.

"She will kill you!" she continued. "Who wants to kill her" Undertaker asked.

"Lady Dolores"

~Sebastian's POV~

"Do you like her or do you love her?" Young master asked. "I- L-" the carriage door opened, we didn't realize we already arrived.

"We have arrived young master" Tanaka said, Young master sighed then went out of the carriage, I then followed him outside.

"I'm hungry go and make dinner" he said, I bowed at him then replied "As you wish young master"

~Time skip~

I went to her room, it was a mess, some letters are scattered on the ground "Maybe this is where she found the letter" I picked up the scattered letters and placed it on the box.

Her scent is all over the place, it's.. Intoxicating. I went to her bed then grabbed her pillow, I buried my face, I can't help but inhale this sweet scent of hers, I feel like I will go crazy.

I laughed darkly and tangled my fingers through my hair "I can't believe I'm this messed up.. and all because of a human girl"

I closed my eyes then opened it again feeling my demonic aura "I will make her mine!"

~In the morning~

"Young master, it's time to wake up" I said as I opened the curtains then went for the tea and poured it in the tea cup. He was watching me pour the tea when he spoke " Prepare a packed breakfast" he said.

I looked at him confused. "We will go to the Undertaker today" he continued. "And what is the packed breakfast for? Are you going to have your breakfast there?" I asked

"Yes, I don't trust Undertaker when it comes to food, he will starve my sister to death, and even if he feed her anything that would be his weird cookies, and I don't trust that cookies either, we don't know what it's made off!" he explained

"And we still need to investigate the girl from yesterday." He continued.

I gave him his tea and news paper "As you wish" he only stared at his tea then looked back at me. "Is there a matter? Do you not like the tea I serve you?" I asked

"No, that's not it.. I was thinking"

"Thinking?"

"I plan to bring Jessica to town today" he said then sipped his tea, I looked at him in total confusion "May I know why you will bring her to town today?" I asked again

"I want to take her shopping" I was lost for words when I heard him say the word shopping, I smirked at him "Shopping? For all I know you hated going outside especially shopping"

He looked at me then raised an eyebrow "What? Can't I bring my sister to shopping?"

I smiled at his answer "Very well, I will bring some extra money"

I helped him get dressed then excused myself "Please excuse me" I was about to leave when he called my name "Sebastian" 'Great! Now what?' I turned around to look at him then asked "Is there anything else you need?"

He stared at me intently then spoke "I will give you a chance later, make sure you make her come home today"

I smirked then bowed at him "Yes, My Lord"

~Jessica's POV~

I woke up early, I got off the bed then opened the windows, Undertaker insisted on me sleeping in his room (which is surprising) and he slept in the living room.

The sunlight touched my skin, A small blue bird landed on the window pane "Good morning little one" I said to the blue bird, I moved my hand near it then it jumped on my finger, "I feel like snow white"

"But much more beautiful than her" I was startled by the voice, the bird flew away then I turned around to face that person. "Why are you here!?, and how did you get inside? I don't remember unlocking the door!"

He lifted his hand, he was holding a key and he smiled widely at me I sighed then asked again "What are you doing here?" he tilted his head to the side then replied "Oh I thought you needed a wake up kiss like sleeping beauty"

I could feel my cheeks burning when he said that "Great! I'm always surrounded by perverts" I stomped my feet towards the door then went out of the room, I accidentally bumped into Magnolia "I-im sorry" she said

"No, it's fine, I wasn't looking on my way either" I replied smiling back at her, I still remember everything last night how she said about me being hunted by a woman named Dolores.

The shop door bell rang "A customer? This early in the morning?" I asked

"There's no time when it comes to death dear" Undertaker replied I did not notice he was with us me and Magnolia looked at each other "I'll go and check" Undertaker said then went downstairs, we followed him.

"Undertaker! Are you here?" I froze as I heard the familiar voice "Ciel?" I said, Magnolia looked at me curiously "Are you alright?" she asked, I looked at her then smiled "Yes I'm fine"

"Why Earl, you're so early today" Undertaker said to Ciel "I came for my sister" he replied, Sebastian entered the shop holding a picnic basket "What is that?" I asked pointing at the basket

"That is today's breakfast" Ciel said, I raised an eyebrow "Breakfast?" I asked

"Yes! Breakfast, for all of us, I decided to bring it here because I don't trust what Undertaker is feeding you" he said.

"We ate chicken stew last night, and nothing happened to me" I said

"You're kind of harsh Earl, I know how to cook you know, I can even match the cooking skills of this butler of yours" Undertaker said while glaring at Sebastian, Sebastian did the same.

Ciel seemed to notice Magnolia, he looked at her up and down then asked "Is she the girl from last night?"

We all looked at Magnolia I saw her became uneasy so I looked back at Ciel then said "Yes she is, now about that food-" I stopped, when I smelled something "Is that.." I looked at the picnic basket Sebastian is holding

Sebastian smiled then said "It seems like you already know what's inside this basket" Magnolia also came beside me then inhaled "hhhmm it smells good, the smell seems familiar" I looked at Sebastian then asked "Is that Adobo?"

"Yes Milady, Tanaka said it's your favourite" Sebastian replied. "Then why are you still standing there, go and prepare" Ciel commanded.

Sebastian prepared all of the food he brought at the table, I'm surprised with all the food in front of us, There were rice, salted eggs and raw tomatoes layered perfectly at a plate, and the Adobo is placed at a beautiful pot, and is that Tuyo? Even the condiments are complete!

"Wow! We will be having Filipino cuisine today!" Magnolia exclaimed

"That's a bit heavy for breakfast" Ciel said looking at the food in front of us.
"Well young master, Filipino's prefer to eat rice in the morning, it's their source of energy for the whole day ahead and rice is a staple food in the Philippines, another reason is Lady Jessica loves to eat rice in the morning."

I stared at him while he explain this things to Ciel, 'why is my heart racing like crazy! Why does he still care?!'

"I see, very well, let's eat I'm hungry" Ciel said then went to the table, we all took our places.

~Time skip~

"So your name is Magnolia" Ciel asked while staring at her intently. "Yes I'm the 1st daughter of Count Demetrio Abelardo" Magnolia replied

"The one in the Abelardo furniture?" Ciel asked

"Yes that's him" she replied back, Ciel stared again at her before questioning her again

"Do you remember anything from last night?" Magnolia shook her head. "How about these past few days?" again she shook her head.

"Could you not remember anything? Any hint? I'm not being pushy or rude, but I needed information, As much as possible we want to finish this case and prevent any more killings in the future" Ciel explained

"I understand Lord Phantomhive, I don't know if this will help but all I could remember is the day I was kidnapped."

Ciel raised an eyebrow then leaned back "Please let me hear it"

"It is the day of my father's 53rd birthday"

~Magnolia's Flashback~

Dolores gave a small paper to a man, "Here are the list of the girls that needs to be eliminated" she said, the man reached for the small paper. "How about Magnolia? Isn't she half Filipino?" The man asked "I'll take care of her I still need the filthy girl and her father's money" Dolores said in disgust.

The man laughed darkly "You call them filthy but you're the same as them, hiding your true nature through your cosmetics"

Dolores glared at the him darkly "Senor Miguel If you don't want to end up like those whores you better shut your mouth!"

The man who seemed to be Miguel grabbed Dolores by the chin "You know I really like this mouth of yours, such sharp words" he leaned in close to her face "I want to know what it feels to be inside that mouth of yours" He grabbed her hand and placed it on his huge bulge, Dolores removed her hand and pushes Miguel away she then slapped him hard leaving a mark in his face.

"If you dare do that again I swear I'll cut that dick of yours and shove it in your mouth!" Dolores said almost yelling. Miguel just laughed like a madman "The more you act like that the more I want to have you" he said Dolores frowned "You wish!"

~End of Flashback~

"After I heard that I moved backwards and tried to run but I accidentally bumped into a nearby vase, they heard me and run towards my direction, I tried to run again but I was hit by something and I fainted, When I woke up I was already chained, they tortured me the last thing I remembered was they burned an incense, the incense was strong it made me more groggy, they showed me a list of names and after that I can't remember anything"

Everyone was silent the atmosphere was heavy. Ciel just starred at Magnolia not giving any expressions. He closed his eyes then stood up

"Very well that is all we need, we will not question you anymore, but if you do remember anything just tell us" he said Magnolia just nodded then replied "I will Lord Phantomhive"

"By the way, you two come with us, we will go shopping" Ciel said, I looked at him curiously, "Seriously? Shopping? Are you sick Ciel?"

He looked at me "No I'm not sick, now let's go before I change my mind"

Me and Magnolia looked at each other then I looked at Undertaker then at Ciel "Well that's unusual"

Translations/ meanings
Adobo - a dish that is where meats (chicken, pork fish etc) are marinated in soy sauce, vinegar and garlic. "Adobo" is a Spanish word meaning seasoning or marinate with vinegar. It's one of the traditional dishes in the Philippines

Tuyo (Tu-yo)- 1. salted sun-dried fish 2. english translation : means dry

The typical Filipino dish are consisted of garlic fried rice (sinangag), sunnyside egg, and main dish. and sometimes joined salted eggs with tomatoes or atsara (pickled unripped papaya)

A famous Filipino breakfast is named by combination exp CornSiLog (Corn-cornedbeef, Si- Sinangag (garlic fried rice) Log- Itlog (egg)
