Ryu, Gohan, and Goku landed on the Lookout alongside Trunks, Tien, Yamcha, Piccolo, and Krillin, Mr. Popo greeting them all.

"What brings you here today?" Mr. Popo asked.

"Well, we don't have a Kami anymore. And if any of us die, we won't be able to be wished back. So I'm gonna use my Shunkan-Ido to go to New Namek, and find us another Kami!" Goku explained briefly, his eyes shining with pride at his plan.

"That sounds like a good plan, but why can't you just use your Shunkan-Ido to use Namek's Dragon Balls?" Trunks asked.

"Well, if I die, it would take you guys a while to get there. Plus, Earth still needs a Kami to keep the balance."

"That's a good idea, but we don't know where the Namekians migrated to." Piccolo asked.

"I'll try scan the universe's energy signatures to find them." Goku sat his index and middle finger on his forehead, then closed his eyes softly. Moments passed, then Goku groaned, "I can't find a single trace of any Namekian's energy signatures. I'll go ask King Kai if he knows where they are."

Goku vanished suddenly, and Ryu sat down as he waited for his father. Moments passed before Goku returned, a small Namekian child by his feet. Ryu's eyes widened as he recognized who it was.

"Dende?" Gohan murmured in disbelief, and Dende ran towards the young Saiyan, hugging him tightly. Dende glanced over at Ryu, then immediately hugged him as well. Ryu returned a hug to the young Namekian, then he hugged Krillin as well. After he finished giving hugs, he greeted Tien, Yamcha, and Trunks formerly. Dende faced Piccolo, and gave him a large hug. Piccolo patted the young Namekian's head softly, smiling.

"I assume you've accepted the role that Goku has presented you with?" Mr. Popo stepped forward once Dende was finished greeting everyone. Dende nodded slowly. Mr. Popo handed him a staff, and murmured, "Welcome... Young Kami."

"I should be able to craft a dragon, but it will take me time. I should have it done by the time Cell is defeated." Dende explained briefly, and Goku nodded.

"I'll let you focus on your work. I'll go focus on mine. See you guys later." Goku waved, then shot off, Gohan and Ryu following him after saying their farewells.

Ryu, Gohan, and Goku stuck to a schedule of training and resting, but, despite training with two Super Saiyans, Ryu never attained the form himself. Before he knew it, the day the Cell Games opened to the rest of the world came.

Ryu stood outside his home, staring up into the sky, memories flooding through his mind. He closed his eyes softly.

This entire adventure of his began when he was 6, and now he was 12, ready to face yet another peril. He smiled softly. No matter what pain he felt, he wouldn't change anything in his life. The friends and family he had, the experiences he went through, all of it meant the world to him.

And now, he had to fight for his world.

Ryu clenched his fists tightly, and popped open his eyes, glaring up at the sky in determination.

"See you, Cheech. I'll be back soon!" Ryu heard his father exclaim, and his brother add, "Wish us luck, mom!"

"Don't be gone too long! Give Cell a thrashing!" Ryu heard his mother exclaim back, and his brother and father stood next to him.

"This is it, guys. Let's go." Goku smiled, then cloaked energy around him as he powered up, blasting off into the air. Gohan followed him, and Ryu, with a final glance at his home, which held his mother and grandfather, he shot off after the two Saiyans, the trio traveling quickly towards Cell's welcoming energy.

As the three traveled, they caught up with Krillin, who grinned nervously, "Hey, guys! And good luck, Goku. I know that you'll beat Cell for us. I hope."

"Don't worry, Cell's going down." Goku grinned back.

"If we speed up, we'll catch up with Vegeta and Trunks. I didn't feel too safe being around Vegeta, but now that you guys are here, I feel safer than ever."

"Then we oughta hurry."

The four comrades sped up, and soon, they caught up with Vegeta, Trunks, Tien, and Yamcha, Krillin greeting Tien and Yamcha, "You two made it, too? Where's Chiaotzu?"

"I didn't want to risk Chiaotzu getting hurt. We're not gonna be any help, but I didn't want to just sit around while Goku fights to the death for us." Tien smirked, adding, "And who knows, maybe I will be some help."

"You? Any help? You couldn't even hurt Cell in his semi-perfect form." Vegeta rolled his eyes.

"You can't hurt Cell, either. The only attack that could hurt him is your... "Final Flash", and even then it only hit him because he underestimated the attack." Tien retorted.

Vegeta's eyes widened as he grit his teeth in rage, but Trunks sat a hand on his shoulder, calming his father down.

"Why do you piss him off all the time? Do you want to die!?" Yamcha murmured. Tien only answered with a small smirk.

Ryu felt a hand on his shoulder, and smiled as Piccolo flew next to him, the two elated at one another's presence in silence.

Ryu's smile slowly faded, then he stopped alongside the rest of his group. Goku glared down at the ring that was fancily placed below him, and Cell snapped his eyes towards Goku, a large grin of excitement planting on his face as the two warriors stared down. Ryu glanced at his father, then glanced at the monster below him.

This is it.

Goku levitated down to the ground, and the rest of the Z-Fighters followed, all of them landing on the side of Cell's ring. Goku smiled softly, and murmured, "I'll be right back."

"Do it for Gohan. The future one." Trunks punched Goku's shoulder playfully.

"You either win or you don't, let's not make such a big fuss about it." Piccolo rolled his eyes.

"You can do it, Goku, just like you always do!" Krillin gave his friend a cheerful peace sign.

"Our fate is in your hands, so take good care of it." Tien nodded respectfully.

"Don't you die just yet, Kakarot! Your death will be by my hands!" Vegeta barked.

"Go get him, Dad. Cell's nothing compared to you." Gohan grinned. Ryu gave his father a small thumbs-up.

Goku nodded, and leapt down in front of the ring. As he sat a foot on the steps to oppose Cell, a small, scrawny man in a suit pushed him, although he couldn't move Goku in the slightest.

"Hey, beat it!" The scrawny man barked, then spun around, lifting a microphone to his mouth as a cameraman aimed a camera at his face. "Alright, folks, this is it! The long-awaited battle of our savior against this terrifying creature! I'm Jimmy Firecracker, and this is ZTV, airing you this battle! And here's our savior right now! The one and only... HERRRCULE!"

A brawny man stepped out of a car, yelling loudly, and a blonde man, a large man, and a woman stepped out of the car with him. Jimmy exclaimed, "Never fear, for Hercule will take down Cell-"

"No, not yet." The man known as Hercule snatched the mic from Jimmy's hands. "My two pupils here, Caroni and Pirozhki, will challenge Cell first. If he proves to be a formidable opponent, then I will take him on and take him down!"

The large man known as Pirozhki stepped onto the ring, and slid into a bad stance. Pirozhki cried, but before he could attack, Cell murmured, "Why don't you bring your blond friend up here? I'm going to get rid of you in one shot."

Pirozhki gave a confused look, but it changed into an amused one as Caroni leapt onto the ring, murmuring to his comrade, "Follow my lead."

Caroni slid into a stance that wasn't half-bad, then dashed towards Cell, Pirozhki right behind him. Cell's leg popped up as he kicked Caroni across the wasteland, then popped it onto Pirozhki's side as he delivered a sharp roundhouse kick, Pirozhki sent flying out of the ring. Cell's eyes softened in boredom.

"Hmph... You may have defeated my pupils, but I won't go down so easy, Cell!" Hercules flipped onto the ring, throwing off his cape and snapping into a stance. "Your reign of terror ends... By the hands of Hercule!"

"So brave! So heroic! We don't deserve a hero such as Hercule!" Jimmy cried into the mix that Hercule dropped as he leapt to fight Cell.

The woman next to him, Miss Piiza, grabbed the mic right from his hands, exclaiming, "And so handsome! He's got a lot of talent, as well..."

Hercule dashed towards Cell, then flipped onto a roll on the ground, planting his feet on the ground, then leapt at Cell, kicking his cheek and crying, "Dynamite kick!"

Cell's face didn't budge in the slightest, his eyes fixed on the same spot on his ring. Hercule regained himself on the ground, then threw a barrage of punches over Cell's body. Cell's facial expression didn't change and he didn't move at all. Hercule slid backwards slightly, grinning as he panted, "I'll finish you off now! Prepare-"

Cell slapped Hercule's face harshly, sending him flying backwards, far out of the ring. Cell's eyes didn't move in the slightest, still pointed downwards on a spot on his ring. Krillin face-palmed, "What was he thinking, going up against Cell?"

"What an idiot." Vegeta scoffed.

"Well... At least they're done now. It's my turn." Goku smiled softly as Cell's eyes fixed on Goku's, an expectant smile on his face.

"Finally... Our showdown can commence. This thirst of mine can be quenched." Cell murmured as Goku dashed onto the ring, a blur as he did so.

"I'll be sure not to disappoint." Goku smiled, a silence looming over the two as nothing but the wind was heard.

Suddenly, Goku cried, a golden aura of energy exploding around him. Goku's muscles expanded as he powered himself up, then bellowed, a golden light blinding the entire area. The light calmed down, and Goku stood in front of Cell, shining as he revealed the transformation he was working on ever since he woke up from his heart virus: His perfected Super Saiyan form.

"Splendid, Goku. Absolutely amazing. Now, it'd be a shame if I were to disappoint you, hm? So I suppose I'll just have to go all out." Cell smirked, and Goku grinned.

"I wouldn't want it any other way."

Cell groaned, then screamed as his muscles bulged with raw energy coursing through his veins. A green aura of energy spiked around the bio-android, then a dark, malicious energy exploded around him, booming into an aura of swirling, green energy. Cell smirked, and Goku did the same as the two slid into their fighting stances.

This is it. This war to stop the androids... Ryu thought as he watched as the two warriors vanished, then reappeared on the middle of the stage, a shockwave blasting around the area as the two warriors rammed their forearms onto one another's. ...Is at it's climax.
