Melia's Secret
An: Last time I say this, I don't own Naruto, only Melia, Heri, Sky, and Ice. Along with any other characters I make up for entertainment.
Also: I got the idea for the tunnels in Naruto's apartment and Melia's cabin from Agent-G. Make sure you thank him, those tunnels are a big part of my story.
Things in my story are gonna pick up and with out his permission I wouldn't have written my story the same way I am. I would have had to come up with some other way for Melia to get around, for her and Naruto to train, so a lot! Especially with what I have planed.
So please, please, please, please thank him for giving me permission to use the ideas of tunnels in my story. In one of his stories "Naruto Hatake" Naruto has hidden tunnels for Naruto to escape. That's what gave me the tunnel idea.
I highly recommend this story who wants to see Naruto adopted by Kakashi. It's very well written it's complete, and has a sequel.

Chapter 21
Melia…
'Now, how should I play this?' I think to myself as I continue to watch what happens
Gaara-san has a blood thirsty look in his eyes. For a moment I catch his attention before he turns his attention back to Naruto-kun and his Nara friend.
Naruto…
"Wasn't beating bushy brows enough for you? Now you have to try to kill him when he can't fight back?"
"I must kill him to prove my existence." It took a moment for my brain to comprehend what he just said
"You're not killing him. You already beat him. Walk away." I felt a tug on my mind
'Repeat what I say to Gaara.'
'Okay. I trust you.'
' "You're alone aren't you? Like me and my friend? You think you have no need for friends, but you don't deny that you're alone." ' I thought I saw Garra's eyes widen in recognition to what I was repeating. It was like he had heard Melia say the same thing I was repeating for her now!
'Okay Naruto-nii, now remind him that you two are the same.'
"We're the same Gaara. Aren't we? Didn't you grow up alone? Hated? Isolated?" I can tell that I'm right "Growing up, people always called me that kid they didn't even want to realize that I had a name. They didn't care. It was the same for you wasn't it?"
Gaara doesn't visibly react but I know I'm right.
Shikamaru…
"You're alone aren't you? Like me and my friend?..." Naruto asks Gaara. 'Is he talking about Sasuke?' I wonder 'Must be, Sasuke is the only survivor of the Uchiha massacre'
"You think you have no need for friends, but you don't deny the fact that you're alone."
I guess Naruto is smarter than people give him credit. I have a feeling that if this Gaara had friends, Gaara would have killed them.
'Damn. I'm at my limit.' My shadow starts to recede back from Gaara to me.
"…it was the same for you wasn't it?" by the time Naruto finishes his speech my shadow no longer holds Gaara; and there's nothing stopping him from trying to kill us now. 'Not good.' I think 'I have to come up with a plan fast.'
Naruto…
'Naruto?'
'Hai? What is it Melia-chan?'
'Do you trust Shikamaru-san?'
'Hai. I do.'
'Can he keep a secret?'
'What are you t…' the door opens and a girl with brown hair walks in. 'Melia? You're going to let someone see you because I trust them?'
'Hai. If you trust Shikamaru then I will too.'
"I know of how you were called a demon in sand." Gaara's eyes widen at Melia's voice. 'Has she met him before?'
Melia…
"I thought you were strong. I guess I was wrong."
"I will prove my existence by killing you here."
"You're not worth it. You're weak."
"I am not weak."
"Yes you are. You listened to the villagers. You gave in, rather then deciding to prove them wrong."
"I will kill you."
"I have a friend who didn't listen to the villagers. He is strong because he didn't follow their standards. He didn't accept what they called him. He decided who he was going to be, whereas you just accepted the name and followed the definition."
"Silence."
"No. if you want to prove me wrong, if you want to show that you are strong, then don't kill Lee-san. There's no need to kill him."
Gaara-san doesn't say anything more but disappears in a swirl of sand. It's time for me to go as well. I go to walk out the door before a voice stops me.
"Who are you?" I smile at him before trying to continue my way out. Trying being the key word, Shikamaru-san had used a jutsu to prevent me from moving.
"I-I-I'm a-a f-friend." 'Great my stutter is back. Why?'
"How do you know Gaara-san?"
"I-I-I o-only met h-hi-him one-once. I-I'm good at-at-at getting p-people wh-who a-ar-are stubborn t-t-to-to listen Sh-Shika-Shikamaru-san."
"It appears that I'm at a disadvantage. I don't know your name but you know mine."
"M-My a-apologies. My-my-my n-name i-is M-Melia." 'Someone kill me now.'
"Would you stop playing 20 questions with Melia-chan already Shikamaru?" Naruto asks.
"I was just gonna ask how long the two of you have known each other?"
Naruto…
'Not here. Let's go back to the training room.'
'Alright.' "Follow us. We'll explain when we're out of others ear shots."
Shikamaru nods as we head to my apartment.
"Not that much farther. Melia?"
"Clear. Go."
"Stay close Shikamaru." I say as I head into the tunnels.
"You are so troublesome Naruto. You have tunnels built into your apartment?"
"Yeah. But that's not the only thing. We built a training room under it."
"You just had to become even more troublesome didn't you Naruto?"
"What do you think of the training room?" I just had to ask that question, the look on his face is priceless
Shikamaru…
'They built a training room under the building? How troublesome is Naruto going to become? What a drag…'
I see the room and it looks like the basement? Some training dummies over in one corner. Target boards all over the room, a clock on a wall to the far left. And what's with the water?
"W-what do y-you th-think Shik-Shikamaru-san?" I hear the girl ask
"Isn't this the basement? How did you two even manage to do this anyways?"
"Jiji let us do it. And it was Melia-chans idea."
"You needed a place to practice and so did I." 'Now she speaks clearly? Why was she stuttering before?'
"So how long have you two known each other?" I finally get to ask my question
"We've known each other for a while. You know how I failed the graduation exam but the Mizuki-teme tricked me and I passed?"
"Kinda."
"Mizuki-teme was going to kill me. But Melia stopped him."
I couldn't stop my head from quickly turning to look at the girl Melia; almost giving myself a nice whiplash in the process
"How old are you?" it came out before I could even think about the consequences a woman could give for asking that question. The response was not what I thought it would be.
The girl jumps at my head quickly turning before answering "I-I'm a-a-a y-year y-young-younger then Naruto."
"You took on a chunin level opponent?"
"Naruto ne-needed a-a h-ha-hand. B-be-besides i-it-it wasn't l-li-like I-I-I did-did that m-much work. Naruto actually b-beat him."
"Why?"
"Melia has known me for a while. She used to help me out whenever the villagers wouldn't sell me stuff or when they decided to get a bit rough."
"The villagers are gonna act like asses so I'm gonna kick their asses." Melia is looking at Naruto 'She said that sentence perfectly. Is she faking the stutter? Or is it just me?'
"How did you guys manage to build those tunnels?" I have got to know how this is possible
"Jiji helped out. He got the materials we needed."
"How did you talk him into it?"
"I thought it a good idea at the time." A old mans voice comes from out of no where.
"Lord Hokage!"
Naruto…
"Ohayo jiji." The old man smiles and shakes his head
"Ohayo lord Hokage." Melia bows to jiji
"Forgive me lord Hokage. I didn't know you were there." Shikamaru says
"No worries Shikamaru-kun. I decided to come talk since I know about the hospital. It was surprising that you let someone see you Melia-chan."
"N-Nii-san t-trusts-trusts h-him. So I-I-I decided it-it was w-wor-worth i-it-it. B-be-besides Shika-Shikamaru-san is v-very smart and-and w-would-wouldn't do o-or-or say anything without thinking it out multiple times first."
"How much did they tell you?"
"That you helped them build this training room and that those two have known each other for a while."
I feel Melia's eyes on me and turn to face her. "You said you trust him right?" she asks. I can see the fear in her eyes. 'She's nervous.'
"I trust him."
She turns to Shikamaru, taking a deep breath before she speaks.
Melia…
"My given name is Melia. My surname is Uchiha. As you probably figured I am Sasuke's little sister. It is a pleasure to meet you."
Shikamaru-san looks a little surprised. "Sasuke was the lone survivor of the Uchiha massacre from a few years ago. How is this possible?"
"Hokage-sama?"
"Very well. But I wonder what you're planning? Kai."
Shikamaru-san falls to the ground and I catch him. Carefully placing him against a wall I turn towards the Hokage.
"I need someone other then Naruto to know that I exist. It's difficult to explain but I'm going to need his help soon."
"Melia-chan? Itachi and Shisui always valued your opinion. Shisui once told me, a long time ago, that you were a bit like your brother."
"We'll talk later. May I get you some tea or something to drink Hokage-sama?"
"Water is fine Melia-chan. How do you feel Shikamaru-kun?" the Hokage asks as I quickly go get his water and some tea
Naruto…
"Like Ino was yelling at me at the top of her lungs. What the heck happened? My head is pounding?"
"Don't worry about it too much. Besides the headache anything else hurt?" Jiji asks him
"No. Just my head. Man this is so troublesome."
I can't help but laugh. "With you what isn't troublesome?"
"Gomenasai for that Shikamaru-san. Here, drink some tea, it should help with the headache." Melia gives him some tea and Jiji water as she steps back into the room
Melia…
"I remember you now. You were scary back in the academy." Shikamaru-san says as he looks at me
"W-well I-Ino-san and Sakura-san were were hi-highly i-irritating b-ba-back t-then."
"So you decided to throw a desk at them?" he asks amused
"It it w-was e-either th-that or-or s-sen-senbon." His eyes go wide, I smirk 'Yep, I still have my twisted since of humor'
"You wouldn't have really done that would you?" Naruto asked
"Nah. That's just my twisted sense of humor. Don't worry Naruto-nii."
"Why do you call him your brother?" Shikamaru-san asked
"I-It it it's just just that I-I see him as a-a b-brother."
"Are you afraid of me or something?"
'Naruto? Help please? I can't talk to him with out stuttering. If I explain he'll think I'm lying.'
"Melia is just really shy. She stutters when she tries to talk to someone she doesn't really know or someone she isn't used to." 'I've got your back imoto.' I hear him think back to me
'Arigato Naruto-nii san.'
"Man. That's good to hear. I thought for a minute there that I'd have to worry about a desk flying my way." He laughs but I can't help but worry that…
"He's only joking Melia. He wasn't being serious in the least."
"Right. I thought so but I wasn't completely sure."
"Besides Shikamaru, you would have to worry more about senbon or fireballs."
"Nii-san!"
Naruto…
Shikamaru pales as I warn him about the senbon and fire jutsu.
"Nii-san!" Melia sounds embarrassed. Turning I can see her lightly blushing. 'She-she looks so, so cute.'
Hokage…
'These kids are more amusing to watch here then through my crystal ball. However I can't focus on what's going on in front of me; instead I find my mind drifting off to what Shisui had told me a long time ago…
Melia…
'…so cute.' I hear from Naruto not realizing I could hear his thoughts; which only makes my blush worse.
"It's you Melia-chan." Naruto gives me a innocent look while his foot twists on the ground.
"She wouldn't really throw senbon or shoot fireballs would she?"
"Nah. I was only kidding Shikamaru. Although there was that time…"
"She walled me weak and a freak! Now your just being mean."
Naruto…
'Guess I found her sensitive topic. Shit.'
"Gomenasai imoto. I didn't mean to go that far." 'Please don't tell me I made her cry.'
"You don't know her sensitive topic?" Shikamaru whispers to me
"No, usually she's patient and rarely loses her temper. She's usually cool with any situation."
"Well damn."
"It's alright Melia-chan." Jiji tells her as she rubs her eyes
I run and hug her
"Gomenasai. Gomenasai. Gomenasai. Gomenasai. I didn't mean to make you cry Melia-chan. I promise I'll never make you cry again. Dattebayo!"
"It's okay Naruto-nii. I know you didn't mean it."
"What a drag. You two are just so troublesome. Why am I even still here?"
"Shikamaru-kun wait. This is an order, Melia is to remain a secret. No one is to know about her until she wishes it understand?"
"Hai Hokage-sama. I have a feeling that a lot more is going on that I'm not allowed to know about anyways. Je ne."
"S-Shika-Shikamaru-san? You, you can always a-ask me a-anything y-you want m-me to. Y-you know t-that r-right?"
"I'll come by one day so we can play shogi if you want."
"I-I'd l-like that." Melia smiles
"Je ne." Shikamaru leaves and Melia tells me she has to talk to Jiji about something.
"Why can't I come?"
Hokage…
I watch the two of them go back and forth. Naruto trying to get Melia-chan to let him hear the conversation Melia-chan trying to talk him out of it.
"There will be a lot of big complicated words."
"I'll understand them. I'm not stupid you know."
"I know you're not stupid. It's just I want to talk to him about something I wanted to do with Sasuke. You know brother sister bonding. And I would need permission for Sasuke to leave the village for a night. I promise we'll go bonding another time. You still have an apartment to clean because I've been cleaning it for the past week."
"Fine."
Naruto…
While Melia-chan said that, she told me the truth behind it.
'You've never hidden anything from me before. So why now?'
'Naruto? For your birthday, I'll complete any order you ask of me. Any order, even if it's revenge against someone.'
'Why would I order you around? I could never.'
'Just think on it a little. I'll have something to tell you once I'm done talking with Hokage-sama.'
'Okay.'
Melia…
Naruto goes upstairs to clean. I get ready to talk with the Hokage.
"Melia-chan. I know you think just like Itachi-kun. You always think things over and pay attention to everything. I also know something is on your mind. It's your choice if you tell me or not."
I instinctively reach behind me for an invisible hand of one of my brothers. I take a deep breath. I have to do this with out stuttering. It's life or death. I'm talking with Naruto-nii, or Shisui-nii or Otou-chan, or Heri-kun anyone I know.
"Hokage-sama. There is going to be an invasion by the sound village. Suna is being tricked into helping them. I believe that Kazekage-sama is actually Orichimaru-sama of the Sannin."
"Are you certain?"
"Didn't Ita-nii inform you?"
"He hinted at it when he dropped you off a couple days ago. I was hoping that I misunderstood."
Hokage…
I can't hold back the sigh as my shoulders slump in defeat and old age "Melia-chan?"
"Hai Hokage-sama?"
"You know I'm old right?"
"H-Hokage-sama?"
"Don't worry child. I'm not afraid to admit it. I have a question. I want you to answer honestly, be brutally honest if you must but I need to know your answer to this question."
"Hai Hokage-sama, as you wish."
"What do you think about the villagers and Naruto?"
"I don't understand what you mean Hokage-sama. Do you actually mean what do I think or if I trust them?"
"Both."
I sigh "Honestly Hokage-sama. I don't like the villagers. I really don't like them for how they treated Naru-nii and I think they're all a bunch of idiotic hippocratic assholes who I wouldn't mind beating the shit out of. However; while I don't like them I would never hurt them with out provocation."
I sweat drop, 'That's what I'd expect the daughter of Mikoto to answer. She really did inherit her parents temper and her fathers amazing skill to hold a grudge. But the response was pure Mikoto. Kami save us all.' I sigh again for the umpteenth time today before finally asking her
"Do you trust them with Naruto should anything happen to me?"
"Hokage-sama… you don't need to ask that question. I'm sure you already know I don't trust the villagers at all. Should anything happen to you they might finally decide to say fuck it all and try to kill Naruto-nii."
"Do you really believe that?"
"I know it Hokage-sama. Gomenasai Hokage-sama. My language was not acceptable for me to use in your presence."
"It's fine. I asked you to be brutally honest and you were. I thank you for that. Now I have another question? What are you willing to do to protect Naruto?"
"Anything. I consider him family. I'll protect my family and this village with everything I have Hokage-sama. Just as Itachi-nii loves this village, I love it too even if I don't like the villagers treatment of Naru-nii."
"You are such an intelligent child for one so young. What would you have planned?"
"I would like to take Naruto from the village should anything happen to you Hokage-sama."
"Where?"
"Wave, my cabin, anywhere till it's safe for him. Should anything bad happen to you Naruto-nii would not be safe in the village. The villagers would do anything to hurt him."
"Why not keep him down here?"
"Sensors would be able to find his chakra. He wouldn't be able to go more then a couple seconds without training."
"Alright. I know I have no right asking you this or ordering you around. However; Melia Uchiha. I have a mission for you. You can choose to accept it or not. Should you accept it the mission is, should anything happen to me you are to take Naruto and leave the village with him until it is safe for him again. Will you accept?"
"Hai. However I'll need to get a few things."
"What would you need?"
"Dark clothes that would fit him. I can get some. I already have some picked out I'm just close to broke to get them."
"I'll send Sky-kun and Ice-chan to help you go shopping."
"Sky and Ice? I haven't seen them since I was a little girl."
"You still are a little girl Melia-chan." 'How old is she mentally? She's growing up too fast in this insane world. I only hope I'll be able to help her enjoy being a child for their sake. Itachi-kun, Shisui-kun, Fugaku-san, Mikoto-san.'
"I'll send them with you tomorrow seeing as how it's about dinner now. I'll take care of the cost, you just protect Naruto-kun. And I know your okaa-san would have been proud of how you answered my question earlier. That was the same response she would have given."
Melia-chan actually laughs, it's the first time I've heard her laugh. It's Mikoto's laugh. Something else she inherited from her okaa-sama.
Melia…
I know Naruto-nii looks up to Hokage-sama, maybe I can get him to stay for a little longer? I know!
"Please stay for dinner? I know Naruto-nii would enjoy it."
"Alright Melia-chan. I'll just send some clones to take care of the paper work."
As we head upstairs I call out to Naruto.
"Hokage-sama is there anything specific you would like?"
"Just make anything you'd like Melia-chan."
"Are you sure?"
"I'm sure."
"Naruto! It's Friday, Order up!" (An; remember how Melia loves Music? I've wanted to do a scene like this for a while)
Naruto suddenly flips into the kitchen landing on his feet. Music starts playing out of nowhere as soon as he lands. I flip off the wall before I grab a skillet and pass it to him as he turns on the stove. He catches it behind his back; bringing the pan in front of him turning on the water. I get the beef out.
Naruto places the skillet on the burner for the water to boil before getting two knives. I get out the cutting boards. Naruto passes one to me, I catch it and we start cutting the meat into bite sized pieces. Once done Naruto gets another skillet while I turn on another burner. He passes and I catch it over my head without looking. Naruto places the beef into the skillet and I get the rice out.
Naruto does a flip off the wall and catches the bag of rice I threw to him. I stir the beef as Naruto gets the ingredients for the sauce. Naruto turns around and pours the contents behind his back into the skillet.
Naruto offers his hand and I take it twirling around him to turn off the rice. I gather the plates and bowls while Naruto sets the table cloth. The plates and bowls now on the counter I throw a them over to Naruto who shows off while catching them. Next is the silverware which Naruto catches; almost dropping one, almost but not quite.
Naruto lifts me up and spins me over his arm. Now our backs together, Naruto spins me out and we quickly get the food onto serving plates. We bring them over to the table before our finale. We both do a cartwheel before doing a backflip off the wall over each other, landing Naruto takes my hand and spins me out to my chair and we finally both sit down.
"What did you think Jiji?" nii-san asks
"It looks like you two have been practicing that?" Hokage-sama asks once his jaw is no longer on the floor and he can blink again
"Only when nii-chan gets bored." I say innocently
"Melia-chan likes music. I came home one day bored out of my mind and I heard her singing while doing dishes. Then she turned off the water and started dancing. I didn't want to scare her so I just watched quietly until she was done." I couldn't hold back the blush from the memory of that day. "Since I didn't know how to dance, imoto showed me." He says enthusiastically as I offer Hokage-sama some beef stir-fry.
"It's good to know how to dance for formal parties. Especially during diplomatic missions. And not all dancing is formal." I say scooping rice into nii-chans rice bowl
"It was fun Jiji. You should have seen it. Imoto taught me how to dance on the walls!"
Hokage-sama looks at me with a raised eye brow.
"I figured it could help him with his chakra control. He would have had to pay attention to his chakra and his feet."
"That must have been impressive to see. I wish I could have been here to see it."
"We can show you after dinner Jiji!"
"Why not ask Melia-chan if she feels like dancing on the walls first?"
"Oh right. Imoto?"
"Hn." 'Translation; I don't mind.'
"Arigato imoto."
"Hn." 'nii-chan?...'
Meanwhile the Hokage's jaw drops to the floor and his eyes go wide
Hokage…
"Naruto?"
"Hn?"
"When did you learn Uchiha speak?"
"Hn?"
"Great now you're starting to talk Uchihanees"
"Hn, hn?"
Naruto…
'Nii-chan? First a favor. It's game time.'
'Oh you mean freak out Jiji? Got it!'
I couldn't hold it any more. I burst out laughing, falling out of my chair right onto the floor. Even Melia-chan is giggling.
Hokage…
When I see Naruto fall to the floor laughing I realize it was a prank. 'But by who? Melia-chan or Naruto? Either way, I'm screwed.'
"Something wrong Hokage-sama?" I hear an all to innocent sounding voice that sends shivers down my spine. "Is something not to your liking?" turning my head I see an innocent smile on a all too innocent looking girl.
'I feel sorry for whoever pisses her off in the future, they won't even see it coming.' I quickly nod my head no. "Everything is fine Melia-chan. Dinner is quite good."
"I'm glad you like it Hokage-sama."
'Hopefully she doesn't know the truth about Danzo or Kakashi just yet.'
"Jiji?"
"Hai?"
"I was wondering how's Hinata?"
"She's doing well. I've had the doctors keep me updated. Have you been by to see her lately Naruto-kun?"
"No. I got busy with training. But I plan on seeing her tomorrow before training. Has anyone else been by to check on her?"
I couldn't bring myself to answer that question.
Melia…
"Hokage-sama? What has Sasuke-nii and Kakashi-sempai been doing?" I ask in the same tone of voice that got answers from my brothers. The one similar to that Itachi used to send shivers down Anbu's spines
"I see you call him Senpai." Hokage-sama is trying to divert my attention onto another topic; too bad it won't work.
"Hokage-sama? What has Sasuke-nii and Kakashi-sempai been doing?" I calmly ask giving Hokage-sama all of my attention
"Kakashi has been training Sasuke all month." He hangs his head leading me to believe there's something else
"Kakashi-sensei dumped training me for training the teme." Naruto adds in
"I know. Should Sempai ever remember me I'll make sure he regrets that." I smile at Naruto causing him to start choking on his rice
"You don't play favorites do you Melia-chan?" Hokage-sama asks curiosity in his voice
"No I do not Hokage-sama. I love all my brothers equally. Shisui-nii should have been able to tell you that." I say as I take a sip of my tea. "After all I'm sure you remember the incident where I scolded Itachi-nii right in front of all the other Anbu for something stupid he did."
"What did he do?" Naruto-nii asks. Great I got him interested in that story.
"It's classified Naruto-kun."
"Ita-nii decided it would be a good idea to go off hunting and accidentally killed a cat."
"So you scolded him?"
"Well I love animals. The Uchiha clan in particular loves cats. So finding out that he hurt a poor kitty really got me upset and I let him hear it."
"Why couldn't you just say that Jiji?"
"Nii-chan don't start with Lord Hokage. Truthfully I don't think he completely knew why I yelled at him. Actually I think there were only four other people besides Itachi who knew why I yelled at him."
"Really? Who?"
"I think that's enough of that for now Naru-nii. I don't feel like discussing my past anymore."
"Gomenasai. I didn't mean to upset you Melia-chan."
"You really do know how to get people to stop and listen. Especially Naruto-kun, now that's a miracle."
"Heeeeey! Jiji." Nii-chan started to pout. 'Once I consider you my brother, I'll protect you like my brother. And I don't like anyone picking on my nii-san.'
Hokage…
I immediately knew I should not have made that joke when the temperature of the room started to drop. Looking to the side Melia-chan is calmly drinking tea, her calm demeanor spelling trouble for me.
"Hokage-sama? Should you really talk about Naru-nii's weakness?" she asks taking another sip of tea. "After all, I seem to recall a few stories I heard from a few birdies and even a couple kittens telling me quite a few stories about a few adventures they had to clean up."
'Please tell me she's not talking about what I think she is.'
"Stories about what? Who are you talking about?" Naruto asks.
"Your student Jiraiya-sama is a pervert correct?" she asks taking another sip of tea.
"Naruto-nii would you please do imoto a favor and start clearing the table? I was up most of the night last night studying."
"O-okay imoto." Naruto quickly starts clearing the table with shadow clones
"There were two perverts who one night decided to go peeping. The perverts didn't realize however that there was a little birdie watching over a young kitten…"
'I'm screwed. Naruto will never let me hear the end of it especially with how close he has become with her.'
"Who the heck are you talking about?!" Melia-chan ignores Naruto's outburst in favor of further digging my hole to hell
"The perverts were discovered by another birdie who worked for the kittens older brother. A few konoichi and the kitten then started to chase the perverts. "You win." He drops his head in defeat.
"Imoto? What were you two talking about? I'm so confused."
"Another time Naruto-nii. Don't worry."
"Okay. Oh Jiji did you enjoy the food? Melia taught me how to make it."
"It was very good Naruto."
"I'm glad you liked it Jiji."
"Well it's late and I best be getting home."
"Please allow us to escort you Hokage-sama. You are after all the Hokage, it wouldn't be right for us to allow you to walk alone at night."
"I'll be fine Melia-chan."
"Please Hokage-sama?"

We headed out, sticking to the shadows as we followed the Hokage to his house. Trying to protect him.
Once we got back I asked Naruto the question that I needed to ask.
