Chapter 21
Max POV
I woke up to Gran standing at the end of my bed smiling at Fang and I lying on my bed. I fluttered my eyes open, Fang stirring next to me. "Gran?" I asked her seating up but only to be pulled back down by Fang's arms wrapped around my waist. "You two need to get up, I'm taking you, Fang, Ella, Nudge, and Iggy, with his siblings, Christmas shopping!" Gran squealed excitedly, this lady was to hyper for 9:30 in the morning. I got up after asking Gran to leave nicely, but as I was getting up Fang squeezed me tighter, "More sleep, seep forever," He mumbled closing his eyes and dragging me back down to him. "Fang..." I whined trying to get up once again and mumbled something that not even a mouse could hear. "What was that?" He opened one eye and looked at me, "I need sleep and you," He said more clearly.
"Well I don't want to go shopping without you so I need you to get off your lazy ass and come with me!" I said in his ear getting up and going into my bathroom, showering and brushing my hair and teeth and getting dressed. I changed into a long sleeved t-shirt that was a dark blue with black skinny jeans and my black converse. I came out to see Fang in his normal apparel except he was wearing a black v-neck. I also realized his hair was wet so he must have went home and showered. He grabbed my hips and pulled me towards him which was a little bit weird since he was sitting down and I was standing. I was then sitting n Fang's lap and his arms were around me resting his hands on the small of my back. "Don't make me go," He whispered his eyes closed and his head resting against my forehead. "If I have to go so do you," I got out of his grasp and we walked downstairs to see everyone there waiting for us.
"Okay let's go!" Gran said as we all piled into the car. Ella was in the passengers seat, Nudge, Angel, and Gazzy in the middle, and in the back, Fang, Me, and Iggy. Mom had to work today but tomorrow she had Christmas break off because Christmas was in two days. We arrived at the mall and Gran commanded we went into groups, Fang and I, Iggy, Nudge, and Ella, Gran, Gazzy, and Angel. So we went our separate ways. Fang let go of my hand and kissed my cheek then walked away, "Where are you going?" He came back to me and whispered in my ear, "I can't get you a present if you're with me, meet me back here in forty minutes, that's all you have to get me a present," He then ran off, he really bugs me!
I went to the music store and got Fang a set of guitar picks and because I am just that awesome I got him a new guitar. It was black with gold flecks, just like Fang's eyes. The chords were a sharp silver that glistened when it caught the light. Plus it was on sale for $50 and I got him a strap that I asked to get it engraved with the words, "The Flock." He would love this! Overall it was $80+ which I thought was a great Christmas present and I still had twenty minutes, that's when I saw it, the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen besides the one I was holding that was Fang's. It was an electric blue that had a few scratches to show that it was used, the only problem was, I knew the guitar, it was my Dad's. One single tear leaked out of my eye and streaked down my face.
I ran out of the store and out the front doors to hide Fang's guitar in the car, he would obviously tell what it was according to the guitar case. I locked the car then ran back inside to the place Fang said he would meet me. Fang came over with a small bag that didn't have a label on it, he came up to me seeing the tear streaks. "You okay?"He asked wiping the tears away with his thumb, "I'm fine, let's just look around a little get some other presents." We walked around and we both got presents for everyone. For Angel I got her a teddy bear that looked like an angel, Fang got her a angel necklace. For Gazzy I got him a book on bombs and from Fang a bomb building kit. For Iggy I got him a book on how well to behave and from Fang a book that had sexiest jokes.
For Ella I got her a a pink sundress that was her size and that she didn't have and Fang got her a gift card to Hollister. For Nudge I got her new headphones and Fang got her a...Hollister gift card. For Mom and Grandma I got them the same perfume and I knew they would like it because Mom kept leaving hints. I also got a bunch of little stocking stuffers for the rest of my family visiting the Saturday after Christmas. Mom called them earlier and planned it awhile ago and she made sure that no friends were allowed that weekend because it was family only, I wasn't to happy about that because they were all stuck up rich snobs that hated me.
We met back up with Gran and I told her about the guitar and she knew to keep it on the down low. We got home and Fang and I went up to my room while everyone else hung out downstairs, I wanted to hang with them but Fang dragged me upstairs. He crossed his arms and looked down at me after he sat me down on my bed, "Why were you crying at the mall?" Great time for explaining.
