HEATHER POV

How convenient, I thought, we break up a day before the wedding. That meant that Rose would be stressing so much she might implode.

It was only three days until the end of term. Three days! I wasn't normally ecstatic about gatherings where there were other people, and I had to be social, but honestly I was looking forward to this one. I wasn't quite at Rose level of dancing around the great hall and to classes, but I was willing to wear a dress for it.

We had currently just finished breakfast, and we had a free lesson first, because our something-along-the-lines-of mock exams were coming up after the half term, and our professors had been kind enough to give us some lessons off to go to the library or common rooms to 'revise'.

'Revise'.

"I still am not sure about the blue, you know." Rose was saying, and Manon, having given up on arguing anymore, just repeatedly rolled her eyes. The boys, stifling a laugh, weren't doing anything to ease the matter, and kept changing what colour tie they wanted just to piss Rose off, and changing ties meant that your date's dress had to change blah blah blah.

Apparently, the new rule was that all of the bridesmaids had to have dates otherwise the 'pictures wouldn't look right'.

Well, Manon and Rose had Lorcan and Scorpious, Roxy had Josh, and Dominique had a guy from her year. Molly and Lucy had various people from their years, Rose had said, and Lily had Lysander.

And I had Albus.

My heart did this weird fluttering thing whenever anyone mentioned him, and it completely rocketed out of control when I spoke to him, or just so much as saw him.

Right in that moment, Albus chose to turn around and wait for me, as the guys were a bit ahead. His green eyes sparkled, catching the sunlight in the empty corridors.

"Hey" He said, smiling. We walked next to each other, a bit behind everyone else, who were chattering and laughing in front. My heart began doing that weird hammering thing.

"Heather, I don't think I officially asked you" He began.

"To the wedding? Yes, you did yesterday" I said, puzzled.

"No, I mean that I didn't officially ask you if you would be my, my, you-know?" He said, his eyebrows raising expectantly.

"What?" I said. I was extremely confused at this point.

"If you would be, like, erm-"

"Albus, for Christ's sake-"

"TO BE MY GIRLFRIEND YOU IDIOT" He practically shouted at me, making laugh. The others didn't seem to hear him, thankfully, and I turned back to Albus, who was trying to compose himself, and his hair.

"Sure." I muttered.

"Really?" He said, sounding surprised. I nodded, smiling up at him, pushing him lightly. He exhaled, and ruffled his hair again.

That goddamn hair ruffle.

I felt something touch my hand then, only to realize it was his. And I didn't mind at all. We walked the rest of the empty corridor to Ravenclaws Common Room hand-in-hand. And I didn't mind at all.

On reaching the common room, it wasn't occupied by anyone else other than our friends, to our relief. Lorcan and Scorpious were in one corner talking about something, and Albus let go of my hand to go and see what was going on.

I was left to wander over to the other corner where the girls were, and I sat cross legged on the floor, lazily pulling out my Defence textbook and letting it drop open.

"That absolute pribbling ill-nurtured toad twat-face" Manon was muttering, and I couldn't help but give her a weird look.

"Beg your pardon?" I said, staring at her. Her hair was yet again sporting a plausible wedding-do, half up half down, the top half in some semi-French plait, the rest in her natural waves. She was about to answer, but Roxy interjected.

"She's semi pissed at Lorcan for asking her 'as friends'."

Manon looked up from her muggle book, and glared across the room. I had to admit if we had an exam in creative insults she would get an O no doubt.

"What are they even talking about?" I asked, as I turned my head slightly so I could see them. They were huddled in the corner, whispering about something, Lorcan groaning every now and then.

"Something Lorcan isn't happy about, I suppose, actually, let me go and find out." Rose said maliciously, and, grinning, she got up and sashayed, yes, sashayed over to Scorpious and latched onto his arm, and began to whisper stuff into his ear.

It seemed to be working for a while, until he shook his head. Rose did her best attempt at a sad face, but Scorpious was evidently having none of it.

Rose hung her head and slowly walked, no sashaying, back to where we were sitting.

"He wouldn't say" She sulked, folding her arms across her chest. Whilst Rose was in her strop, Manon continuously spouting creative curses, I decided to talk to Roxy because I hadn't spoken to her in ages.

"Hey, Rox, how's our beloved Joshua?" I said, which made her giggle.

"He's fine, probably a bit miffed at the fact he has to wear a yellow tie because of my dress, but he'll get over it" She decided, flicking a wild brown curl over her head and continued to skim read her defence textbook, she would probably wing it knowing her. As would Manon. I couldn't afford to do that, neither could Rose, our very own stress queen.

"I'm bored." I said, breaking the silence. Albus must have heard this, as I felt something sit behind me and a pair of arms snaking round my waist. Just to confirm my thoughts, I saw a black curl brush the side of my face.

"What's wrong?" He said, sending waves of delight up my spine.

"Nothing, I just have nothing to do" I mumbled, as he began to play with my hair.

"I know, let's play a game!" Rose said, clapping her hands at the thought of abandoning revision. Everyone groaned at what on earth Rose would have us play, but it was better than nothing.

"I have an idea! I have this muggle game in my case from my friend!" Manon suggested with some kind of enthusiasm. She leapt up the stairs to her dorm room at around three steps at once, coming down again quite quickly.

"What is it?" I craned my neck to try and see what it was, as did Albus, causing his face to be directly next to mine, giving me dramatic heart palpitations.

"Twister?" Lorcan queried, picking up the colourful box in wonder.

"Yep!" Manon said, hitting him a little harder than it would have to be to be considered as friendly. He winced but ignored it nonetheless.

Scorpious opened the box to reveal a mat with colourful spots on it.

"Okay, so basically someone spins the dial, and then whatever it lands on you have to put your left or right leg or arm on that colour, and it's whoever can stay up for the longest in their twisted position." Manon said, throwing the dial to Roxy, who had opted out.

Rose and I were in a very compromising position at this moment. Her leg was practically straddling my head, and she had a rather horrific of my feet.

Albus was having some kind of laughing fit at the fact Manon was almost on his back, as their hands were trying to reach the same colour.

"Lorcan, right hand, yellow" Roxy shouted over Albus' adorable laughing fit.

This made Lorcan join the lets-get-on-Albus club, and he and Manon toppled to the ground, completing an extravagant flop onto the mat.

There was an audible silence for a few seconds, before Manon burst out laughing and picked herself up from Lorcan, reaching out a hand to help him up.

I was determined not to let myself fall. I must win.

"Albus, left foot, green"

Oh crap.

I desperately tried to hold in the burning pain in my leg as I stretched underneath Albus' leg, which had successfully landed on the green spot.

This was it, I was going down.

Not before Albus, however.

Just as I came to terms with the fact I was ultimately not going to win, that in fact it was between Rose and Scorpious, I would not let that boy beat me.

I nudged his foot which stayed rooted to green. Nothing. I poked his left hand, which was only just clinging on to blue. Nothing. Then I noticed his weak right hand was barely holding him up on the other blue spot, and I moved my right foot just an inch and hit his hand with some force.

Quite successfully, I might add.

I watched as he cried out, and lost his balance, joining the other pile of losers. I laughed gleefully, and watched him, slumped on the floor, staring at me with his mouth open. It made me laugh even harder. I felt my legs begin to give way, but before I could fall, Albus had side tackled me, making us roll to the other side of the room, me in fits of laughter, I was almost in tears.

My laughter ceased quite abruptly, the game still going on in the background. I think Rose was winning. I heard Manon and Lorcan talking about something.

But I wasn't listening. I was too focused on the green eyes that were hovering above mine, and the annoying black flop of hair that was brushing my forehead.

It came naturally, the kiss.

But it was just as amazing as the first one.

"Ooooooh!" I heard someone say, but I didn't care, because I was kissing Albus Potter.

When he pulled away, he looked into my eyes.

"You're pretty, you know that right?"
