OH MY GOD!
I'm so sorry for the late update (very late *sweat-drops*) but here I am! I just had too many things to deal with and now that I got sometime I started with the story as soon as I could.
And again sorry for the late update, now on with the story.

He knew that it would scare her, to chase after her in his wolf form, but he didn't want her to leave just like that; she'd hate him.

He couldn't have that, not after he grew to like her, not after he had some hope for his life.

She hates wolves, and chasing after her with his wolf form wasn't a bright idea, especially after seeing that scared look on her face after he had he cornered; so he switched back when he made sure that she couldn't escape.

"Leave me alone…" she begged, pressing herself against the tree trunk, panting loudly.

"Kaoru, please just listen to what I have to say…"

"You have nothing to say to me!" she hissed

"Kaoru," he moved closer "Just-"

"Don't come close to me!" she said loudly looking away from him

He sighed "Kaoru this won't work," he moved faster and grabbed her wrist before she escaped.

"No!" she shouted

Her shout wasn't loud, it wasn't angry either, it was worse; she was afraid, her hand shook as she grabbed onto the wrist he previously held. He couldn't keep holding it with that scared shout ringing in his mind; he couldn't keep holding it with those beautiful, scared eyes staring right back at him.

"Don't…come close to me again," she whispered "Don't even think about meeting me again; I want you to disappear!" she spat

"I love you."

Her eyes turned to look into his, shocked "Huh…?"

Takashi turned to look at the ground, "I'm in love with you Kaoru," he closed his eyes to hide the tears threatening to come out.

Kaoru stayed silent, she didn't know what to say, as she stared at the man standing in front of her.

"Please Kaoru," Takashi looked up at her, "Don't do this to me."

"Why didn't you tell me before?"

"Because I knew you would hate me," he sighed "I can't stand that idea."

"Y-You're a wolf." She breathed

"I was born like that, and I can't help it." Takashi said bitterly "Please just…" he sighed defeated, running his hands through his hair and gritting his teeth.

Kaoru could clearly see the frustration he was feeling, but she just couldn't comprehend with everything now, she needed time.

"Give…" she can't believe she was going to say this "Give me sometime…" she whispered

He looked at her and nodded, his eyes holding so much hope. Kaoru gritted her teeth and turned away, immediately running when she was far enough from him.

Kaoru took off running to the opposite direction, not even looking back at the heartbroken, but full of hope, Takashi she left behind.

Takashi gritted his teeth and took in a deep calming breath, he turned back into his wolf form and leaped into the forest, howling loudly, hoping that he'd meet his childhood friends.

It was late that night, when they finally met, and once the red eyes made contact with his green eyes they lashed at each other, and battled. They battled all their feelings out, slashing at each other and biting to their heart content. And as that took place two sapphire blue eyes watched, memories of the past reflected in them, with a feeling of sadness, as he hoped that it would not be their last time.

Jorje huffed and lifted his head up to the sky, breathing deeply to calm his breath down, as the rest of the pack was training. The sky was dark this night, even though the moon was almost full; he sat under a tree and watch over the rest, when he suddenly felt a presence of someone close.

Everyone stopped training and looked at Jorje as he ordered the wolf to come out of the bushes.

"Okay, okay," the wolf said revealing himself "I was just testing if you could sense me or not."

"Mitch…" Jorje immediately relaxed

"The one and only."

"Did you go to Hiroshi?" Jorje immediately asked

Mitch sighed and rolled his eyes "Yes, yes."

Jorje kept staring at him, Mitch chuckled and said "They're going to be ready soon, I just came back from there and they are preparing themselves to come, I already told them where."

Jorje visibly relaxed "So they're finally made up."

"You can say so…I guess." Mitch shrugged.

"Thank you Mitch." Jorje smiled at him "Now go quickly."

Mitch nodded and took off running to the other direction.

She ran quickly, to the first place she could think of, the place where she was comforted the most, the old playground she used to play in with her friends when they were kids.

It pained her sometimes how much they had grown, how their separation felt close, either from marriage, or death. She sighed softly once she reached the entrance of the playground, thinking back on the days when they were just kids and played on and on without any worries; leaving all the worry to their parents, but now that they're grown up they have to get some pressure.

As she walked into the wide land she could spot both of her friends sitting at the far end, leaning against each other but straightening once they saw her.

"Kaoru!" Miyako said rather loudly "Where have you been? We were searching for you!"

"Sorry, I…something happened with me." Kaoru said awkwardly, walking to them and sitting just beside them.

"What is it?" Momoko asked smiling softly.

"You won't believe me guys," she sighed looking up

"Try us." Miyako grinned, already could tell what it was.

"Don't be shocked but," she sighed "Takashi, Kakashi and Hiroshi are wolves."

Momoko grumbled and leaned against a tree behind them, hugging her knees closer to herself. Miyako smiled and looked back to the wide land.

"What?" Kaoru stared at them.

"I just knew a couple of days ago…" Momoko mumbled gently holding back tears "And I couldn't tell you, sorry but it was too shocked."

"And Miyako?" Kaoru asked looking at her blue eyed friend.

Miyako just smiled at her.

"Why didn't you tell us Miyako?" Kaoru asked

"They should tell you by themselves, I don't want to ruin your friendship or feelings toward each other. After all it's their right to tell you by themselves." Miyako shrugged

"Did…Kakashi tell you?" Momoko asked

"Yeah, he was so scared before telling me." She smiled

"Why was he?" Momoko asked

"You know, if their identity was figured they would get chased until they die; he told me that they have moved from a village to a village without being able to live normally, all of the people kicked them out or chased them out." She smiled sadly "And they were so happy to finally find each other, they wanted to just settle for a while and catch up," she sighed "But well, it wouldn't work well, they're preparing for the war now…"

"What war…?" Kaoru said, feeling out of breath

"They have a war back in their hometown; they're going to be part of it." Miyako said sadly

Kaoru could feel her eyes stinging and heart clenching. What war, why is there a war, and why are they being part of it?

"You know," Miyako said after a while of silence "This war, who knows what might happened; so you should forgive them, after all they might never return…"

"No…they can make it back…" Momoko said, her voice wavering

"They had a reason to hide their identities, so forgive them before you lose the chance." Miyako said again

And that left a painful impact in Momoko's and Kaoru's hearts, would it really be the end?

But Miyako thought, even if it was the end, at how painful it might be, this would be a beautiful period of time that she got to live and that she would never forget.

Hiroshi panted leaning against the trunk of a tree, hissing as he grabbed his shoulder, his eyes looking straight into the green ones, which had lost the glare and were just staring dully. He sighed as he finally had caught his breath and rested the back of his head at the tree, staring up at the calm night sky.

"Damn, you still have it in you." He said

"Glad to know I didn't lose it." Takashi chuckled

"You nearly had each other's throats back there." Kakashi grinned, sitting near the two so that they made a triangle.

"Tell me one thing Hiroshi," Takashi suddenly spoke, causing Hiroshi to look back at him as he met his eyes with his own green ones "Why did you leave us, back then, and went with them?"

"My dad was with them," Hiroshi said softly "I was afraid that I would lose him, that I would lose another family member, I couldn't stand the idea of it." He looked down and bit hit lower lip, then said in a soft voice "I wanted you guys to just stay relaxed where ever you went, you wouldn't need to fight anymore because we were already doing it."

"You didn't know about Yasu?" Kakashi asked

"We knew in the last minute, we were going back but we got attacked…and he died…"

Takashi sighed and looked up at the sky, letting everything settle inside of him "And what about Momoko? You said you hated humans, how did you become friends with her?" he asked still looking up.

"She saved my life," Hiroshi said "I got some bullets in me and she took them out, then she forced herself into my life and I couldn't…block her."

"She thought different of you, didn't she?" Takashi said looking back at Hiroshi with a smile.

Hiroshi smiled back, finally meeting each other with a smile irked something inside of him, a feeling he didn't feel since their last time together. "She did."

"I'm worried about the girls," Kakashi said after a comfortable silence "We left them back there and who knows what might happen."

"What do you mean?" Takashi asked

"Yasu is going closer to their village, I'm worried." Kakashi said frowning

"She hates me now…" Takashi grumbled

"I'm sorry that I'm saying this but… it won't be nice if the last thing you did with her is fighting." Kakashi said

Hiroshi sighed and closed his eyes "Everything is coming to an end, isn't it…"

The three friends shared a moment of silence, comforting each other with their presence, remembering the old days, and cherishing them deep in their heart; to give them strength for what is to come.

And they shared a prayer, a prayer that when this all ends…they would stay with each other, that none of them would leave…
