Ruby just couldn't handle it.
It was starting to hurt holding it in.
Ruby was in love with Weiss and she didn't know what to do.
She was lying in bed thinking about Weiss, as she always does.
Ruby has never been in love before. She had crushes before, but it was never true love. She was scared because of how strong these feelings were and if Weiss would ever find out. She was nervous all the time because she was contemplating telling Weiss her feelings. She was also confused, Weiss was a girl and so was she. She had no idea she even liked girls in that way. She had liked boys but never girls.
Ruby let out a frustrated growl grabbed her pillow and put over her face.
Damn it all, I don't know what to do! Why did this have to happen? Ruby thought.
She then peeked at the clock.
Well breaks over, I have to get to class now. Ruby thought as she jumped down from her bed. She then realized she was going to see Weiss in class. Her face grew a small smile and her heart starting beating faster at the thought of sitting next to Weiss in class.
During class Ruby kept sneaking glances at Weiss. She loved how focused she was on the lecture. She loved how she wrote down so many notes, especially since she was going to copy them later since she's not writing down any notes. She was a really good student. She also took to admire her physical features.
She loved her white hair and her hairstyle. She loved her pale skin and the shape of her face. She especially loved her crystal blue eyes. She also loved her pink lips. How she longed to kiss her…
She heard that Weiss was talking, she loved her voice. Ruby then realized that she was talking to her
"Ruby why are you staring at me?" Weiss asked.
Ruby started blushing, "Oh! I was just…thinking about asking you a question." Ruby said. Man that was a lame explanation!
"Okay, so what's the question?" Weiss asked.
Ruby hadn't thought of a question. "Uh…can I borrow a pencil?" Ruby asking the first that came to mind.
"Ruby…you have a pencil in your hand." Weiss said, pointing to her hand.
"Uh so I do." Ruby responded, embarrassed and also smiling.
Weiss then sighed and said, "You dolt." She then went back to focusing on the lecture.
*sigh* That was close. I'm such a moron. I need to stop staring at Weiss. Ruby thought.
She then tried her hardest to not stare or even glance at Weiss. Unfortunately she cracked and resumed glancing and staring at her, luckily she wasn't caught.
The bell rang and the school day was over. It was time for dinner. Team RWBY went to dinner, ate, and conversed. During dinner, Ruby kept looking at Blake and Yang. She was jealous of their relationship. She wanted that with Weiss. But she admitted that their relationship was cute. She was happy that Blake was finally able to confess her love to Yang and she was even happier when they the couple revealed their relationship to her and Weiss. She knew how Blake felt about Yang, and she knew how long she had feelings for Yang.
Now Ruby was in Blake's position.
This must be how Blake felt.
Ruby, Weiss, and Blake went back to the dorm after dinner, Yang had detention so couldn't go back to the dorm, though Ruby looked as Yang kissed Blake before she left for detention.
Weiss went to take a shower, so Ruby and Blake were left alone. Like every day, Blake retrieved a book, went to her bed, lied down, and starting reading. Ruby went to her bed and sat. She wanted advice from Blake. She didn't know how to start the conversation. After a few minutes she started fidgeting and moving restlessly. Eventually Blake noticed how much Ruby was moving, she started distracting her from reading.
"Ruby what's wrong?"
Ruby started blushing and started stuttering. Eventually she found the words she wanted to say.
"Uh…well…I need advice Blake." Ruby said.
"Okay, what is it?"
"Well, there is someone that I like, uh…like-like…like in that way. And I want to tell them but I don't know how." Ruby said.
"Why are you asking me this? Why not Yang?" Blake asked.
"Because I knew that…you were in love with Yang a while before you got together." Ruby admitted.
Blake looked surprised. "How did you know!?"
"Uh…I kind of read…your diary." Ruby said meekly.
Blake was kind of mad, understandably, but she knew she was the best person Ruby could receive advice from, she knew exactly how Ruby felt.
"Is this person in question, Weiss?" Blake asked with a smirk.
Ruby looked shocked and blushed hardcore.
"NO! it's not…aw damn it, yeah it's Weiss. I'm in love with Weiss." Ruby admitted.
Huh, feels good saying that. Ruby thought.
Blake was actually surprised that someone could have a crush on Weiss, let alone be in love with her, she never would have thought Ruby would fall in love with Weiss. First her and Yang and now Ruby and Weiss, how strange.
"Alright look Ruby, I don't know what to tell you, sorry." Blake said.
Ruby looked disappointed, of course.
"Look there is only one thing I can tell you." Blake said. Ruby held her breath to hear what it was.
"Tell her. You can't keep this a secret, you'll have to tell her eventually, better sooner than later." Blake said.
Ruby kind of didn't want to hear that.
"Look, if I was able to tell Yang, then you will be able to tell Weiss." Blake continued.
"But what if she says no? What if our friendship ends?"
"You guys have a really strong friendship, if she says no, I highly doubt your friendship will end. If she says no well then eventually you'll get over it." Blake said.
Ruby was thinking hard about this advice she received.
"It's better to tell her and find out her answer, than never telling her and always wonder about what could have been." Blake said.
Ruby sighed then said, "You're right Blake." After a silence, Ruby continued speaking, "I'm going to tell her how I feel! Eventually!" Ruby said with determination.
"Thanks Blake for all the advice." Ruby said, giving her a smile.
"No problem." Blake said, giving her a smile back. Blake then went back to reading. After a few minutes Weiss walked in and Ruby's heart started beating faster and she grew a small smile, which Blake noticed.
Ruby began to regret asking Blake for advice about how to deal her feelings. Blake began to tease Ruby all the time about her feelings for Weiss. She would cause Ruby to blush and to constantly be uncomfortable. Blake was starting to get her mad.
When they were alone in the dorm again, Ruby approached Blake who was sitting on her bed. She told Blake to stop teasing her, she then threatened Blake with her sharp teeth, baring and licking them and licking her lips, while wondering what cat fanus tasted like. Ruby effectively scared Blake enough to get her to stop teasing her. Ruby then went to her bed contently. Weiss then walked in the room, which caused Ruby's heart to start beating faster and caused a smile to grow on her face.
A/N: This story is getting harder to write. I'm not used to writing emotional stuff. Next chapter Ruby will confess her feelings to Weiss. I wonder how she'll do it...
