Leo looked around the meeting, "Before we're dismissed, does anyone have anything new to discuss?"

C.J. sighed, "I suppose I do; is there any way Carol could handle the press briefings today?"

"Why, are you sick?"

"She just doesn't want to face her adoring public," Josh teased the Press Secretary from his place further down the table, convienently out of striking distance.

"You're enjoying this, aren't you?' C.J. glared at him. "I'd think Donna would have already ruined any possibility of you enjoying this."

"She and Ainsley have decided to take an early lunch to decide who fills what other roles, I didn't ask and while I have no problem taking on the entire United States Congress, I try not to get Donna mad at me." Josh frowned, then clarified, "Really mad at me, I mean; the revenge-seeking kind of mad. Mad-frustrated and mad-threatening are okay, but mad-revenge is something I really try to avoid. And she's with Ainsley; she's like the Republican-Donna, they're both enjoying this, I'm going to let them."

Sam nodded in firm agreement, "I think he said it all very well. Well, except it's Ainsley for me, because I've already been verbally deconstructed by her enough that it's an experience I've no care to repeat, but still."

Leo rolled his eyes at the two men's antics and loudly cleared his throat, "C.J.?"

The Press Secretary grimaced, "There may have been an article in one of those teen magazines; you know, the ones that try to get teenagers interested in politics starting with things like what the well-dressed Senator is wearing or who has the cutest butt in professional politics..."

Sam pointed over at Josh, "According to Joey Lucas, from Donna, that would be him."

Both Leo and Josh gave Sam annoyed looks, but for different reasons. Leo, however was the one that spoke, "Go on, C.J."

"Apparently there's this kids' show about three girls with superpowers who fight crime. It seems that one of them is the leader and planner, one is cheerful and friendly, and the third never backs down from a fight. And the article compared them to Donna, Ainsley and myself."

"Really?" Leo raised an eyebrow.

"According to the article, Donna is our planner, Ainsley's the cheerful one, and I'm the fighter," C.J. admitted. "It actually called us 'The Powerpuff Girls of The West Wing'. I have no clue what that means, I guess it refers to the show's name or something."

The Chief-of-Staff nodded, "Okay, I can see that."

C.J. frowned, "You can?"

"Yeah," Leo half-shrugged.

"So, can I have Carol do the briefings today?"

Leo shook his head, "No."

"Leo!" C.J. hoped it didn't sound like she was whining. "Don't you understand? There's absolutely no chance of someone in the Press Corp not bringing this up."

"So what?" Leo asked, then glanced to the side where Josh had started humming and knowing the younger man it was probably the theme to whatever the show was. "Do you mind?"

"Depends," his Deputy answered. "If I drop this, will C.J. drop my 'secret plan to fight inflation' finally?"

Toby thumped the table firmly and broke his long silence, "How about we all drop this entirely and get to work? There's a country to run, at least if we get back to it before everything falls apart."

"Okay, C.J., you're still doing the press briefings," Leo announced as he stood up. "Everyone's dismissed."

As the rest of the Senior Staff also stood and began to clear the room, Leo couldn't help overhearing the exchange that passed between Josh and Sam.

"I think he's just jealous that Andi wasn't included," Josh remarked.

"Who would she be?"

"There's no one she could be; the only other female characters are two villains, a teacher and the Mayor's secretary that actually runs the city."

"Well, we all know who that last one would be," Sam agreed.

"She even acts as a de facto big sister to the girls, so it would definitely be her. I just don't know if I see Andi as the teacher type..."

As the voices faded away down the hallway, Leo shook his head.

Author's Note: For those who've never watch The Powerpuff Girls (the original version from years ago), Donna is Blossom, 'commander and the leader'; Ainsley is Bubbles, 'the joy and the laughter'; C.J. is Buttercup, 'she's the toughest fighter'; and of course Mrs. Landingham would be Sara Bellum, the Mayor's secretary.
