Zero... was grumpy today. As if that was different than any other day. Though today he had a much different reason to be grumpy. It wasn't that Kaname hadn't cooked the food right, that he had been getting extra cozy with the hunter, or maybe even the total opposite. No, it was because of something completely different, something that neither of them would have been able to avoid well enough... And it couldn't have come at an even worse time.
Kaname was going back to work.
"Do you have to go? Can't you call in sick?" Zero groaned as he laid back into the couch, looking up at his partner with a sleepy yet upset expression. He wasn't comfortable with Kaname leaving... Not while he had just crossed over into his seventh month of pregnancy, quickly nearing the eighth faster than neither of them were comfortable with. His hands rested against his swollen stomach as he watched with a frown as Kaname adjusted his tie, making sure that his finely tailored clothing was suitable.
"I don't know, tell them that you're busy killing hunters. That'll keep them happy," Zero grumbled as he curled his arms around his swollen stomach. And as if in a tune to agree with the weary hunter, a soft kick bumped against his arms. She was getting more and more fidgety inside Zero, much more than he would have liked. It was a sign that she was losing space in there, even with his stomach getting bigger to allow her a little room. Hell, he even wondered if eating more would help get her room...
Instead she was her same fidgety self, kicking and squirming to her hearts delight. It wouldn't be until he hit eight months that he would have his final scan to make sure she was properly developed. After that time, it was like she was a ticking time bomb... She could arrive at any moment. Kaname had already told him that he would be on bedrest for the final month to make sure she wouldn't be forced into labor by a wrong move, and for once, Zero had agreed with him.
Which was why he couldn't believe that it was now that Kaname was leaving him to go to his stupid job...
Unfortunately for the both of them, Kaname had tried to get out of this as much as he could, having succeeded in pushing it back several days. But today he absolutely had to go in. His colleagues had been calling him nonstop for the past several hours and it seemed that they weren't about to take no for an answer today.
"Purebloods don't get sick, Zero. Though if they did, I would have called in as soon as I woke up. I want to spend my time with you." Stepping over and giving the male a kiss on the cheek regardless of if he wanted the contact or not, Kaname allowed himself to sit down one last time before he had to leave. "I have cooked meals for you which are now in the fridge waiting to be heated up, the pantry is re-stocked with your favourites. I have also left you a phone in which you can contact me at any time. Under no circumstances leave the house, im not here to protect you so I need you indoors."
Reaching over and running a hand through the silverettes hair as a final good bye, Kaname regretfully stood up and waited for the silverettes answer or last pleads to have him stay.
Grumbling as Kaname ran his hand through his hair, though knowing that it would be good-bye until he would be back from work. "...How long will you be gone. I want to know when you're coming home. If you're not home by then, I'm going to call." The sharpness of his words add a bit of sting to them, though it was mostly because the hunter would be worried when Kaname was gone... Zero may have his pride, but he also knew that he was defensless while he was this pregnant, barely able to walk up stairs let alone defend himself.
Running his hand across his swollen stomach, he felt another kick deep inside him, probably this time leaving some internal bruising. He would have to take another bath soon to see if he could ease the kicking before she put him into the hicks again. At least he was starting to get an idea for what brought them up rather than possibly confusing them with labor.
"Six hours, I will call you as I leave so you know when I should be home. Traffic is usually busy so I might take longer to return" Giving the other a gentle smile as Zero started to stroke his own stomach, he couldn't help but move his hand down onto the swell, giving it a couple rubs of his own as if to soothe the child inside. It had been quite a while since he had needed to pull up his usual stoic mask, the cold and uncaring pureblood...
"I'll see you before you know it. If you fall asleep then time will flow by quicker. I love you." Pressing his lips to the silverettes forehead, Kaname eventually turned and strode his way towards the front door, grabbing hold of his briefcase before finally slipping out of the building.
Only after the hunter had grumbled a 'whatever' did he lean back into the couch, intent on maybe resting an hour or two. He had just eaten his breakfast, it would be a little longer before their daughter would decide that she wanted something else to eat... So letting his amethyst eyes close as he heard the door lock behind Kaname, to make sure that no one got in or out, he let himself try to slip into a nap...
From there Kaname had slipped into the same routine he had been in when attending the academy, hopping into his car and driving towards the building he worked in. Though when he had been at the academy it wasn't rare that they often held business in the conference room there. But seeing as he was home and refused to have anyone around, it was off to the rather large but daunting building.
The long trip was daunting as Kaname made his way to the building a few towns away, though it unfortunately was an hour's drive... His current home wasn't supposed to be close to work. It hadn't been until a few years ago that he had been thrown into the leadership position of the vampires, after all. But now it would leave the task of constantly going to work and appeasing the other vampires to the pureblood while having to leave his pregnant partner behind.
At least he would be respected at work as he silently strode his way into the council's main office, where people were sitting at their chairs, waiting to begin their work. And as the pureblood came into view to them, each of them quickly stood from their chairs and bowed in greeting... All except for one.
"...We missed you, Kuran. It was getting boring without you."
The unfortunately familiar chuckle came from the other end of the table, the closest to where Kaname would soon be sitting. Feet were propped up onto the table as nimble fingers molded together another paper airplane out of possible work papers, only to toss them into the air and let the ice blue eyes watch their flight which led to each hitting into the wall. Silver hair washed down to his shoulders, though the chaotic chunks missing were still there from his last 'adventure'.
He didn't dare face the pureblood, letting the right side of his face be the only thing that Kaname would view. He was much too devoted to messing around...
By now Kaname had been accustomed to one certain male acting this way, to not bother with the usual mannerisms when addressing a pureblood. That's not to say that when the time came he wouldn't listen to the elder vampire thoroughly and follow orders as any aristocrat would, it was just the fact that he didn't bother with the unimportant tasks.
"I see, Kyoshiro. I trust you have been behaving whilst I've been gone?" Allowing a smirk to cross his face as the obvious joke he had put forward, Kaname made his way towards his usual seat at the head of the room. Kyoshiro was prone to killing... Though not just level E vampires, he had also enjoyed killing numerous hunters. Something that had gotten the vampire race in more trouble than necessary. Peace was difficult to obtain when one of Kanames right hand men went around killing without reason.
Kaname had grown used to the males antics though, turning a blind eye to anything he had done. Something that may displease Zero thoroughly, knowing that a lot of his comrades had fallen by this males hand alone.
But taking his seat and watching everyone rise from their bowed down positions and take their seats, Kaname shifted forward and started to look through the large pile of paperwork they would have to sort through today. "Lets get one thing sorted. I will be running through business quickly today. There will be no breaks given nor will I tolerate any indecent behaviour. I wish to return home." Only then did he turn to Kyoshiro once more, once again getting the familiar gaze over his face...
A 'pfft' was quick to leave the sitting vampire's lips as he adjusted himself into his chair, leaning back and letting himself stretch. It had been a long day... Waking up, killing something to eat, coming here, thinking of killing again... It was mindblowing that he could manage to go through such a packed day and it wasn't even past dusk yet. Adjusting his heels on the table, he finally passed his glance back to the pureblood.
Though it wasn't until Kaname had properly sat into his seat that the rest of the vampire's features were unraveled. It was as if there were two halves of his face... The one half that seemed essentially normal that was his right side, other than a fleck of a scar here and there. The other half, though... looked as if it belonged in the pits of hell.
Skin had been wrenched away from his face, taking the lines of deep scratches that had dug down to the bone. They curved from the corner of his lips, pulling them back into a jagged scowl that revealed the long row of jagged, sharpened teeth. The white of his exposed jaw shown from underneath rips of the skin, where only a few tendons remained to hook the jaw together where the skin could not.
The scars tore their way into his cheekbone, another place where the bone, as well as shreds of facial muscle, were exposed. Only then did the scars tear through his eyesocket and into the hairline, where they finally disappeared into his scalp. It left his pale blue eye disgustingly white, blinded by the blow and leaving it in the ugly cloud.
Though by now, Kaname would have grown use to these scars... He was the only one that faced them from Kyoshiro's position, the only one that was used to the deadly reminder of his life having nearly been taken. But Kyoshiro didn't care any longer... "...So does that mean I can grab a snack?" Kyoshiro couldn't help but say with a smirk curving onto the right side of his face, the left half's muscles being dead and unable to respond any longer.
Glancing sideways towards the damaged vampire, Kaname merely gave a curt nod. "Now, and hurry or we will start without you" Sighing softly before he looked towards the rest of the occupants in the room, Kaname met eye contact with each and every person quickly before glancing down at his paperwork once more. Everyone here seemed to be terrified of him, as if expecting the pureblood king to merely kill several of them because he had felt like it. It would have kept him entertained of course but it also would have prolonged this meeting, keeping him from his little hunter even more.
Ah Zero.. He didn't wish to leave him at all. They were still in the raw stages of their relationship and he would prefer to spend every ounce of available time with the pregnant male. Not to mention he may just be more pissy with him if he returned home late. But as ruby eyes watched Kyoshiro rise from his seat to go get some food that had been supplied for them, Kaname let out an exhausted groan. Kyo always had the tendency to prolong meetings.
It was almost like it was Kyoshiro's job to prolong everything that Kaname wanted to get done quickly. The aristocrat was a little slow as he pulled himself from his comfy chair, letting out a sigh as he stretched out his back on the way over to the food. From there he loaded himself up with donuts, coffee, just about everything that was left over that he could claim as his own.
Only once he saw it fit did he come back to the table, letting his napkin full of food sit onto the table and put the coffee cup beside it. There he resumed with leaning back into his chair, plucking a doughnut from the pile and looking back at Kaname. "...So what's first, boss?" Of course his words were met with the usual low hiss, though it wasn't something that either him or Kaname worried about any longer.
The two had known each other for a while, after all... Longer than any of the others thought that he knew Kaname. Though the aristocrat had something that none of the other vampires could ever dream of having... Kaname's trust. That wasn't until years of blood, sweat, and more blood though... Something neither of them wanted to relive again.
They had indeed had a very difficult past together, one where they shared many moments of needing to trust each other. It had been why Kyoshiro was always so casual in addressing the elder male which had often frustrated other vampires. After all purebloods needed to be respected at all times, their lives worth worshipping.
But what was first? That was an interesting question indeed.. "You tell me, Kyoshiro. I was dragged here from business at home and told that it was of utmost importance that I be here. I understand there is still negotiating with the hunters at hand but that can be pushed forward several months. Perhaps it is the E problem we have been having?"
That was a rather large problem for them, the infestation getting quite large in the local town. It was something the hunters were getting involved in which had in turn been causing problems with them, though mostly with Kyoshiro.
The hunter's hunter couldn't help but roll his eyes at the statement, knowing that the Level E problem would have already been properly taken care of if he had been put in charge of them... He was always looking for a good snack or two, and destroying an entire group of Level Es would be the perfect way to brighten his day. "More like the hunters have been having... They haven't cleaned up after themselves."
It was always the hunters' fault with everything. It was surprising that he hadn't started his long speech to where he would say that this would have been solved a long time ago if they had simply destroyed the hunters like he had told them to... it would have been rather simple. All they would need to do was storm into the headquarters, take down the leader...
"I think what Kyoshiro was trying to say, Lord Kaname, was that the hunters have been having difficulty keeping up with the amount of Level Es. It was almost as if a nearby town had been swarmed by them, and very few humans survived that incident. If it continued, our secret could easily be revealed of our existence..." Another vampire had been quick to make sure that he had stopped another one of Kyoshiro's spiels about how the hunting race needed to be ended.
Kaname would not allow the hunters to be destroyed.. Especially if his old partner had sacrificed her life to create their weapons. It would be a waste if he were to simply destroy them all, though it wasn't like Kyoshiro would care in the slightest about what Kaname thought about the issue of destroying the hunters.
Glancing up towards the vampire who had chosen to talk to him directly, Kaname nodded a little in understanding. So that's the whole reason for him being here.. This was something he could have answered on the phone, he really had no need to be here for such a thing. Trying to get rid of the irritation building within him, Kaname looked down at his papers then back up once more. "I see. Then I suggest you organise a small grouping of vampires to take care of the problem. Though Kyoshiro you will not be one of them. I don't wish for hunters to be slaughtered too."
"Seriously?! This is the one fun part about my job!"
The other vampires couldn't help but faintly roll their eyes at the damaged vampire's outburst, though it didn't stop the murmurs for him to silence himself to make sure he did not upset Kaname. Though all the vampire did was growl softly back at them, a little too pissed off to care if they thought he was upsetting Kaname.
Though as he sulked back into his chair, it finally allowed the other vampires to gain Kaname's attention once more. "There are also other issues as well, which is why we had called this meeting. You see, we have caught some... Scents that were starting to become common around your home, and we are certain they had not simply drifted on."
The vampires looked to each other a little uneasily, knowing that there would be no easy way to say this... "Ever since you had left the academy, where you were safe from Kiryuu, we noticed that he had departed at the same time. We have also began to notice his scent on your property... And we fear that he may... Be attempting to hunt you." That was enough to cause a few chuckles to ripple through the lines of vampires, knowing that it was simply the hunter wasting his life...
Though Kaname wouldn't be laughing.
Laughing had been the furthest thing from the purebloods mind.. In fact a cold chill had made its way down his spine at the mention of Zero being scented near his home. He never thought that people would be close to his property keeping an eye on him. The two males had gone out on walks numerous times after all, they could have easily been spotted.
But now was not the time to allow fears to make its way into his body, he had to act as though he didn't care or perhaps had felt a little annoyed about such news. "I see. While I do understand your intentions for looking out for my safety, have I not expressed my orders at keeping distance from my residence?"
Narrowing his eyes so that everyone around the table knew he meant what he had said, even Kyoshiro getting the hint, Kaname quickly let out an aggravated sigh. "As for Kiryuu, I will take care of him myself. I do not wish to have anyone on my property looking out for my safety. Is that understood?"
Kaname's statements... confused the vampires at the table. Each looked to the other in near silence, confusion and a little concern crossing their faces. The last thing they wanted was for their leader to be in danger, but even if he was going to handle the hunter himself, what could that possibly mean for the outcome? Would he really attempt to kill the hunter?
"...Lord Kaname, we respect your wishes. But if you intend to dispose of the hunter, there may be turmoil if the hunters were to find out about this. He is... in line for the throne in their race." A collective murmur of agreements came from the vampires at the table, or all of them... except for one.
Kaname didn't have to guess who wasn't currently agreeing with him. "You're letting him live? He's an abomination! You're letting that half breed threaten you and you're not going to do anything about it?!" Kyoshiro hissed out at Kaname almost instantly, his right eye narrowing as he looked back at Kaname. He couldn't believe what he was hearing... Kaname was letting the hunter live.
This was beginning to be a pain for the pureblood.. He didn't wish to discuss the one person he could currently slip up on talking about more intimately than he ever should. Though he needed to come up with a suitable excuse to please everyone. Or near everyone, Kyoshiro wouldn't be happy unless Zero was killed and he most certainly wasn't going to let any harm befall the silverette. Not when he was so deeply head over heels..
Glancing around the table once more, Kaname nodded to the aristocrats. "There is no need to fret, I will not be killing him. I understand the consequences of such an act and it would be inconvenient for me to dispose of him. Kyoshiro you should understand that much"
Giving his friend a look that would be better suited for a child, Kaname eventually looked down at his papers signaling that he no longer wished to speak about the issue of a certain hunter.. Though as he realized three hours had passed, the pureblood decided that he should perhaps call said silverette to see how he was doing.
"If you would excuse me, I have an important call to make. Continue on with business per usual" though without waiting for an answer, Kaname sat up from his seat and stride out Into the hall, dialing that number and waiting for an answer. But he would need to be careful, who knows who was listening. But as seconds passed, the phone was answered.
"Hello?"
"God damn it, Kuran... Do you have any idea how much it hurts to get off of the floor when you're not here..."
The groan was the first thing that Kaname would have heard. He of course had no reason to fear that there would be someone other than Kaname on the phone... No one had Kaname's number except for him, Kaname, and Kaien. And even if it was Kaien, he wouldn't give a damn if he had embarrassed himself.
He was already pregnant. How much more embarrassing could it get.
"She hates it too, you know."
"Such formalities aren't necessary, though I do apologise. I will be home in a few hours and I can make it up to you anyway you see fit. No strings attached. How are you doing though, do you feel fine?" So much for reigning in his worry, knowing that Zero was the only thought in his mind for the last hour or so. "Oh, 'll also make it up to her, somehow.." Smirking a little into the phone though looking about to ensure no one was in the room to overhear them, Kaname eventually leaned against the wall to get more comfortable with talking. He was slacking off but he didn't care, he wished to talk to Zero.
Though there had been one person in the room, that person being his secretary. He trusted her though and she had always kept quiet about things she over-heard. This would just be another of these moments.
The secretary's interest had been perked as she couldn't help but listen in every now and then... It sounded like Kaname had a special someone at home, making it up to someone... She couldn't help but slightly smile at the thought, knowing that Kaname needed someone to help him loosen up a bit. Though she did make sure to keep an eye out so no one would overhear this conversation... Kaname treated her well enough to where she wouldn't let his secret spoil out.
"Fuck you... Go get me a pillow to sit on next time, my back hurts like fuck..." Zero couldn't help but complain on the phone as a little rustling was heard, as if it was struggles to get up from the floor. But why was he on the floor in the first place...?
"And get another remote for your damn TV. I'm sitting on the floor because I can't get up because the damn remote was on the floor and I had to go get it... And it's all your fault." Of course it was all Kaname's fault, he always was trying to pin something on him, even when it was more than partially his own fault. Rubbing into his stomach a bit, he knew that he probably could have tried a little harder to get on the couch... But Kaname was the one insisting that he should be more careful with his body.
Trying not to laugh at the accusations Zero was starting to throw at him, Kaname covered his mouth over the rather large smirk he had now been sporting. It was quite surprising how much he found that he missed the silverette when he wasn't graced with his company, he could only hope that Zero felt the same as he did.
"Forgive me? I'll ensure the remote gets duplicated so you wont need to go through such necessities. Ah, speaking of necessities.. What would you like me to pick you up for our dinner on the way home. It seems i'll return around that time so it would be best to buy something. At least then i can spend more time with you" Smiling into the phone, Kaname once again looked around the room, nodding at the secretary named Celina when he met her gaze.
No one knew who was on the end of that call after all, it could have easily been a female, though a cranky one at that, by the way Kaname had been apologising it would seem as though the partner was quite a bossy one. Perfect for reigning in the cold pureblood.A slight chuckle was all that Celina, Kaname's secretary, allowed out from her lips as she tried her best to focus on the paperwork in front of her. But it was difficult knowing that Kaname had a possible wife at home bossing him around... And she could almost hear the affection in his voice of a loving yet whipped husband doing all that he could to please his beloved.
A slight chuckle was all that Celina allowed out from her lips as she tried her best to focus on the paperwork in front of her. But it was difficult knowing that Kaname had a possible wife at home bossing him around... And she could almost hear the affection in his voice of a loving yet whipped husband doing all that he could to please his beloved.
Though the 'wife' on the other end didn't seem to be quite so humored...
"Salmon. And something to help me get off of the floor when you're too busy at work to help me! I need to take a piss and I can't because then I have to get up and it'll take me half an hour!"
Kaname seemed to have managed to called in on one of Zero's moods... Though this may be one of the worst moods yet.
At least Kaname knew he was safe from Zero's wrath being at work still. And all he would need to do was to give Zero a kiss and probably some chocolates and all would be forgotten... At least he could hope. Though by the annoyance in his voice, it was obvious that there was nothing else wrong other than him not being able to get off of the floor... As he was rapidly nearing his eight month, both of them had been more and more on edge.
"Of course, I know the perfect place and I'm sure you would love the food there. I should go, they will need me for the remainder of the meeting. And try to move from where you are, I know it is difficult but I'm sure your body will thank you for it." After all he really didn't want an aching hunter, well any more than he already was.
As he waited for his answer though, Kaname took that time to move from the wall and crack open the door to the boardroom, glaring in to make sure everyone was working correctly. He didn't wish to be here any longer than normal and if they continued working then they would need to do their jobs.
But if all went to plan then he may be able to get home a little earlier than he originally planned, something Zero may like. Well he hoped, he hadn't been sure if the silverette even cared that he was away, something that upset him just that little bit.
"Yeah yeah... Just get home quick. I want to work on the nursery but I can't go up the stairs without you."
At least that was something that Zero knew he needed Kaname for... Though it was rare for Zero to admit that he couldn't do something. Maybe he was just being extra cranky today for almost no reason whatsoever... Or it was Zero simply being Zero.
Of course as Kaname looked inside the room, he would see that nearly every man was working on just who they would send where with the issues of the Level E attacks. Though down at the other end of the table, Kyoshiro was busy making more paper airplanes... Though Kyoshiro was usually not allowed to do any work in the first place. Kaname already knew what happened...
The latest incident with Kyoshiro deciding he could assign himself to hunting the same Level E's a group of hunters were doing, then 'accidentally' killing the hunters out of self defense, was enough proof to it.
"...Are you going back then?" Zero asked the pureblood, a little touch of disappointment in his voice. It seemed like he wanted to talk to Kaname more... But not when it could be at risk.
Although Kaname shouldn't be slightly happy at the upset tone in the males voice, he had been. It was then that he knew that Zero had perhaps missed him and wished to talk some more. Though there was nothing he could do about it, the quicker he got back then the quicker it would be for them to be united once more.
"I'm afraid so, i have quite a bit of work to do and if i don't return now i'm sure Kyoshiro would have decided to fix the problem himself" Although he had never spoken to Zero about Kyo, he had been certain that the silverette would know who he was, he had killed a lot of his comrades.
That was a lot of the reason why Kaname didn't wish to speak about the blue eyed vampire in front of his mate, it would cause an argument neither wanted to really have. ...But it seemed like he was too late to avoid starting an argument.
"...you're working with that fucker?!"
That hiss instantly made the hunter lose the disappointment in his voice, instead his tone being replaced by fury. How dare he work with the murderer of their race! Did Kaname really not care at all about how many hunters that man had killed? Though it seemed like Zero wasn't about to even deal with the thought of Kaname being anywhere around that man to begin with...
"Whatever. Do what you want, stay away from that asshole and come home soon."
"Good bye, lo-"
Beep.. Beep.. Beep...
And just after that, the phone went silent... Zero hung up. It probably was for the best... It wouldn't be a good idea if Celina was going to overhear an obviously males voice talking back to Kaname on the phone instead of his bossy wife... It would just have to be something Kaname would have to deal with and move on from Zero's act.
It would also be better for Kaname to not have to deal with Zero's mood and the fact that he had not told the hunter exactly who he would be working with... For all Zero thought, he could be thinking that they were plotting their way to take over the hunters once and for all. Though at least Kaname would make sure Kyoshiro wouldn't be having those hopes for future plans...
With a loud sigh Kaname placed the phone back into his pocket, confusion written all across his face. Should he be annoyed or pleased? Annoyed with the fact that Zero had hung up on him quite grumpily or pleased that he cared enough for the pureblood to mention not hanging about Kyoshiro.
Not that the aristocrat would be able to harm Kaname at all. He was a pureblood and it would be extremely hard for anyone to lay a finger on him, though it wasn't completely impossible. Not that it mattered now, he was at work and completely safe. After all everyone in the building here would sacrifice themselves for the pureblood.
Deciding that now was as good a time as any to go back into the board room, Kaname walked his way back into the room and took his usual seat, though being sure to snatch a paper airplane from the hunters hunter. Now wasn't the time to slack off.
"Progress?"
A curse bubbled from the aristocrat as he was forced to end his fun, leaning back into his seat with a huff. He wouldn't have to mess around if they could just let him kill the level Es and probably the hunters as well... It would be a win win situation. Of course Kaname would never see it that way for him... It just wasn't fair.
"I believe we have worked out the parties that will be sent to the area. All we need is your approval and the request will be sent," one of the vampires spoke up as a list was passed towards Kaname, with Kyoshiro trying his best to scribble his name down at the bottom without Kaname seeing. Though he probably would have easily caught the motion, though Kyoshiro would still wish all the same...
"For the rest of the meeting, we just need to go over the ideas of how we can market the blood tablets off to a larger audience of buyers. They have had a hard time being shipped overseas from Japan..." It seemed like this would be their last item of business for tonight, though a large one. Hopefully it would be able to be put at ease fast so that the pureblood would be able to return home...
Taking the list away from Kyoshiros reach, Kaname scanned through the names quickly and gave a nod. This group of people wouldn't go out of their way to cause trouble, instead they would get the task done and return back to their families. Kaname was quite pleased as to who they had appointed.
"Very well. Then lets move on to that issue then, someone notify those on the list of their task and to complete it as quickly as possible" Placing down said list and instead picking up the paper with the information about the blood tablets, Kaname almost groaned.
He hated work like this, though he had no choice but to participate. Everything needed to be ran by him before decisions were made, this including. So they began to work on the dreaded task, each and every member figuring out their next move.
And so work continued on its dreary pace, with each of the workers trying to make sure that they wouldn't bore their leader to his death... But it was also hard. Such little things had to be discussed no matter what they said, and it didn't make matters better that they were having troubles finding a solution to this problem... But as the hours ticked by, it was finally time to give in and to call it a night.
Though as a weary Kaname had looked to the time to see if he could still make it home, he would be surprised to know that it was still a little early, plenty of time for him to get home and still surprise his partner at home. Though hopefully said partner would have been able to get back up from the floor to do something productive with his day...
Slowly the vampires broke apart from the meeting, with each going to collect their things. Kyoshiro, on the other hand, was going straight to Celina's desk... He always loved to bother the women, trying to satisfy his sexual needs whenever he got the chance. Though Celina was staying strong, she was smart enough to know that there was no need to fall for such a 'desperate' man as she called him...
Kaname was thankful that they had finished that little bit earlier, it allowed him to go into town and but everything he needed without worrying for being late. He wouldn't want to anger the silverette any more than what he already had been, especially when Kaname wished for nothing more than to hold him.
So he made that short trip to town, buying their dinner and sweets for the young hunter, something he had hoped he would appreciate. From there he had started to take the long drive home, speeding on occasion to ensure he was early enough to surprise the silverette.
The long hour passed by and Kaname could now see the house, pulling up as quietly as possible to allow the surprise he wanted. From there he got out of the car and made his way towards the front door, a briefcase in hand from his days work.
Not long had passed before the pureblood managed to sneak into the house...
Such a cute little squabble~ But it seems like Kyoshiro might be a little bit of trouble down the line... What do you guys think? Also next chapter will be when Kaname returns to his lovely Zero 3 Or would you rather I skip that and continue on with the story? It won't be long now until a little baby is on the way~!
Also in other news... I HAVE A LAPTOP :D
...Also, if anyone likes to sketch or doodle, can you doodle a Kyoshiro for me? I am not good at drawing humans xD I'd like to see how good I am at describing him for you, with all of his scars, and what you think he's like. And if you're not good... Well send them to me anyway~! 3
