Hey readers. Update time!
Veritas1995: Yep he is sane and that's what this chapter is about!
TazzieLuv13: You didn't like the old memory? I bet Cassie didn't enjoy it either.
This is mostly explaining how Match is sane. Enjoy!
Sanity
3 Years in the Past
Conner
Conner had just been revived and he was getting some questions answered about his resurrection. He was currently flying towards the Luthor building in Metropolis to visit with his 'father'. Conner was a little bit weary of Lex's intentions. Conner specially wanted to know how exactly he had been revived.
He slowly descended on the sidewalk and entered the humongous building. He went up the stairs; he didn't like elevators, and arrived at the secretary's desk. Her name was Mercy, which was an ironic, since Mercy doesn't show much mercy towards Luthor's enemies.
She looked up and flashed him an annoyed smile, "Hello Conner. What would you like today?"
Conner cleared his throat. He didn't like talking to her, "I'm here to see Luthor. I called head, so you can't nag me about that."
"Very well," she said. She pressed the call button for Lex's office phone, "But I still have to make sure he wants to visit with you. Mr. Luthor is a very busy man."
Luthor picked up right away, "Yes Mercy. What do you require?"
"Hello Mr. Luthor," she eyed Conner, "I have Conner out here. He says you have a meeting with him."
Luthor chuckled, "Let him in. Thanks Mercy," and Luthor hung up.
"I guess you're free," Mercy said, but her tone became harsh, "No funny business. Understood?"
Conner simply nodded and walked towards Luthor's office. He opened the gigantic door, and was greeted by a spacious office with a beautifully crafted desk. The windows were at least twenty feet, and they bordered most of the office. Luthor sure had a wonderful look over the Metropolis' skyline.
Luthor stood and walked towards the clone, "Ahh. Conner! My dear boy! What brings you here today?"
Conner shook hands, "You know what I'm here for."
"And what might that be?" Luthor said as he returned to the desk, "Please, take a seat."
Conner sat, but kept his guard up, "Explain to me how you were able to save me."
Luthor raised his eyebrow, "Well. Like I've told you, I had to boost your Kryptonian genetics, so your cells could regenerate more efficiently. If you had kept your old genetic code, your cells wouldn't have been able to produce enough energy. They would die. I made you more Kryptonian, thus giving you the new powers, and saving your life."
Conner thought this over, "Okay. But I thought if I was more Kryptonian than I already was, I would've gone insane. Like Match."
"Well, yes that would've been the case. Except, we were able to bring Match in and experiment on a couple of things. We were able to do some reconfiguring on his brain and some DNA. Some of the side effects were body maturity, increased intelligence and reasoning, and full ability to speak," Luthor said.
"So is Match sane?" Conner asked.
"I believe so. But we keep an eye on him just in case," Luthor continued, "Anyway, when we were able to reduce his insanity, we took some of his blood, synthesized it with a chemical we had acquired, and we injected you with."
"Is that all?" Conner asked.
"Well, after we injected you, we put you in an artificial yellow sun capsule. With that energy, your cells not only able to regenerate, but they also combined with the serum we had injected," Luthor said, "About three days later or so, you woke up, and you were completely sane."
Conner pondered this, "Okay. Now, where is Match?"
Luthor sighed, "Well, if you really want to see him. Come with me."
Luthor stood and led Conner to the laboratory down in the bottom of the building. After much clearance, and retina scans, they arrived in a big bright room producing a yellow sun. And in the middle was a capsule. Inside the capsule was Match.
Conner walked around the capsule and studied it. He was getting angry, "This is what you meant by keeping an eye on him?"
"Well what did you expect? Did you think we were going to let him run free and potentially create a hazard for humans," Luthor scowled, "I am not going to take that chance."
"Yes. But this is not right. He is sane. He should be given a second chance," Conner said.
"I am not going to take that chance," Luthor repeated.
"Well I am," Conner said as he pushed the release button.
"Damn it Conner. He could still be dangerous," Luthor said.
"And maybe he isn't."
The liquid inside the capsule was drained and the capsule opened. Match stumbled forward before catching himself. He looked up and recognized Conner. Then he noticed Luthor and his eyes turned red.
"Whoa. Calm down Match," Conner said as he stepped in between him and Luthor, "Lex is not the enemy."
"He obviously is brother," Match growled, "He kept me locked up, even though he knew I was better mentally! I guess he also hasn't told you what his plans are for you."
Conner stopped moving and raised his eyebrow, "What plans?"
"I overheard him talking about making you chose whether to be evil or good. He has something big planned for you Kr. Trust me."
"Oh. Please. Still spouting stupidities I see. I should've gotten rid of you when I had the chance," Luthor sneered.
"You're not going to keep treating him like trash," Conner said, "He deserves a home. He deserves a family," he extended his hand to Match, "I guess you don't know my name. I am Conner, otherwise known as Superboy. Welcome to the Super family."
Match shook hands while also grinning widely, "Nice to formerly meet you Conner."
"Looks like I am not needed here anymore," Luthor said as he started to leave, "When Match goes insane again, it'll be your responsibility to get rid him. Understood Conner."
Luthor left, leaving the two clones alone.
Conner smiled, "Want to go meet Superman and the rest of the heroes?"
"I would love to," Match said.
Conner and Match left the Luthor building and headed for the Cave.
Match
Present
Match and Clark were beating some evil Kryptonian ass. H'El had lost a lot of energy, and had slowed down. They had led H'El to the dark part of the moon to prevent the sun from giving him energy.
Match punched H'El in the jaw, and was quickly followed by a full speed knuckle sandwich by Clark. H'El flew into space, but his face was greeted by Match's fists. Match berated H'El's face. He kept hitting and hitting. His energy, was still full. Finally match punted H'El towards the moon, where Clark was waiting to hit him with his whole might.
H'El was knocked out. But not before he was able to send a distress signal from his belt.
"Well that was kind of easy, huh, supes?" Match asked.
"Don't get too cocky," Clark warned.
"Aww. Come on! I was just saying," Match smiled.
Clark lifted the unconscious body of H'El and they flew to the Watchtower, where Batman had reinforced a room with a lot of Kryptonite.
They entered and Clark handed H'El to Barry, who took him to the Kryptonite prison cell.
"Where is Conner?" Match asked.
"He is in the med lab. He is under critical condition," Diana responded.
"I'll go check it out. See you in a bit Kal!" Match said as he super sped towards the room.
He arrived and quietly sat next to a crying Cassie, "The monster is under control."
"Good," Cassie said.
"Don't worry. Conner is strong. He will make it out of it."
"I. Just can't. I keep remembering the day he died. I can clearly see… his… dead body in my arms," Cassie sobbed harder.
Match hugged Cassie, "Don't worry. He'll make it. Stay with him. He will want to see you when he wakes up."
Match got up and left the room. Headed to the meeting room. Match wanted some information. And he was going to get it."

Zod
They had received a distress signal ten minutes ago. H'El had been captured, but he had made contact with Kal-El. He commanded for Faora.
"Yes General Zod?" She said.
"Set course for Earth. And get the soldiers ready. In a couple of days. We go to war."
Zod is preparing for war! Oohh! Next chapter will be 99.94% Cassie and Conner. Leave reviews! I enjoy them!
