Hey everyone! I'm baaaaaaack! Have fun devouring this chapter!

Judai came running out of the house that Sunday afternoon. He walked up to the car as it pulled into the driveway. He smiled to his parents and tried to conceal his hatred for them. His mother and father hugged him and went inside. Haou was sitting in his room. He came halfway down the stairs as the three of them walked in the front door. Their mom was wearing a frilly blouse and her favorite kind of silk pants. The creamy colors matched perfectly. Their father looked taller and even more menacing then when they had last seen him. Haou shivered. Judai tried not to notice how different they looked now that he knew everything.

"Well, hello Judai honey. Thank you for greeting us! You didn't say goodbye the last time I was here and I was a little put off." Their mother smiled. She held onto his arm as she spoke. Their father stayed silent.

"Oh, well I was up pretty late that night playing video games. I must have slept through everything that morning." He smiled again.

Haou was pleased that he was so convincing. He looked down at them. They were happy that Judai was talking to them. Haou guess that this was how their life would be until they left the house. The future was a scary thought for Haou so he didn't mind it much. College and work seemed like something he couldn't do with all of his family's problems on his mind. Any future he could think of was instantly tainted by his parent's faces.

"Judai, could you help daddy bring in the luggage? Bring it up to our room." She said in her angelic tone.

Haou and Judai knew what she was doing here. This was where she would get Haou alone to discuss things. Judai didn't want them alone together. He didn't want anything like that. He struggled with himself on what to say. He hesitated to respond.

"Will you?" She prompted, seeming irritated that she had to coax s response.

"Yeah," He looked back to the stairs. "Haou, do you want to help me?"

Haou nodded. He wasn't sure where this decision would lead them later but he went with it. He didn't want to be stuck in a room with her anymore.

"Well, since we already have the two of them working, I am going to go into the kitchen and grab a snack. What do you want honey?" Their father said while the boys walked towards the door.

"Nothing right now, I want to wait until dinner." She said watching them curiously.

"Sorry about that Haou, I didn't know what to do." Judai whispered while they grabbed the suitcases out of the car.

"It's okay. I don't think they will think anything of it." Haou whispered back to him. "Let's hurry though."

Later that night at dinner it was awfully quiet. Usually the three of them would sit and talk about school or TV shows when Judai wasn't aware of anything. Haou sat at the top of the stairs listening in, just in case something slipped out of Judai. Nothing could slip out of him though; Judai wouldn't even give them a sideways glance. In any other situation that would have been great to see but right now the hatred was not what they needed. They needed normalcy.

"So…why did you guys call this time? I was surprised when I heard your voices." He smiled up at them. It was a half-smile but they took it.

"Oh, well we just wanted to. It seemed like a change." Their mother said. Haou listened closer to the conversation.

"No, your mother just missed you. She is trying to play it cool." Their father said.

Judai chuckled at that, just like when he was ignorant.

"So I see that you and Haou have been closer. What do you two talk about?" She went straight in for the kill.

"Oh…nothing really." He didn't know what to say again. "Uh…I think I am done eating. My stomach hurts." He said with a "pity-me" smile.

"Really honey? Do you want a Tums? I have plenty in my purse." She said.

"No, I think I will be fine with a little sleep."

"Okay, then go up to bed. Send Haou down while you are at it."

He looked back at her before he left the kitchen. "Why?" He asked. He never asked why they wanted to see him before and he kicked himself for making tonight's dinner so different from the rest.

"No reason, never mind." She said and sat back in her chair. She continued to eat dinner without a fuss.

Judai walked up the stairs and followed Haou to his room so they could talk without being heard.

"Sorry if I screwed anything up. I just can't do this Haou. They don't deserve it!" He whispered harshly.

"It's okay. I don't think she will do anything about it. I guess she just thinks that you are becoming distant because you are getting older."

"Oh, that makes sense. I will play it off like that." Judai said and left his room quietly.

Haou knew that that wasn't the case here. His mother would certainly find a way to get to Haou, whether or not Judai wanted it to happen. Something big was coming but he didn't know when. Haou shook off some worries and collapsed onto his bed. He hated when they came. He was even more terrified of them right now than ever. He sighed and tried to find Bumpy the Snake. He had moved him to the crevice between his bed and the wall so his parents wouldn't find him if they raided his room. He was there, safe and sound. He clutched the toy to his chest and smelled Jehu's sent on him.

Haou looked out his window at around one in the morning. His parents had been asleep for about three hours. The moon lit up the sidewalk and he saw a head of blue hair coming closer to his house. His body moved involuntarily. He pushed Bumpy into the crevice and then walked out of the house as quietly as he could. He made sure to not fully close the door so he wouldn't get locked out.

He saw Jehu waiting outside of the gate. He walked up to him in a hurry.

Before they even spoke Jehu grabbed Haou's arm and checked his face for bruises. He didn't see any cuts. He lifted up his black T-shirt and saw nothing out of the ordinary. Haou hit him for looking at him like that without permission.

Jehu then grabbed the brunet and pulled him against the fence that separated them. He looked into his golden eyes and spoke softly. "Hey…"

"Hi…" Haou said back.

"Everything went okay in there? I didn't see any marks on you."

"No, Judai distracted them and made sure they were never alone with me."

"Thank him for me." Jehu said this time closing his eyes and putting his head down on Haou's left shoulder.

"Worried much?" Haou asked trying to conceal his happiness that finally someone was concerned about him.

"Shut up, I hate it when they are here. One, I can't see you and two, they hurt you…and not in the good way." Jehu looked up with a devilish smile.

Haou hit him for being dirty. Haou was about to turn around when Jehu grabbed at his shirt.

"What?"

"Don't leave yet. I haven't seen you all day…" He trailed off looking at the ground.

Haou wrapped his arms around the blunet. He squeezed him and then moved to let go. Jehu held Haou to him though and continued the hug. He loosened his grip and Jehu planted a kiss on the brunet. Haou kissed him back and put his hands on Jehu's face. The two stood in the middle of the cold night, separated by an old fence, kissing like no one was watching.

But someone was watching.
