"Excuse me?"

Kagome got up from her bed completely ignoring the fact that her head felt like someone was hammering a nail into her skull. She slowly pulled back her sheets and got out of bed facing him.

"WHAT THE HELL IS YOU PROBLEM! What right do you have to call me names? How dare you call me a whore…?

"This Sesshomaru did not call you…"

"Oh I'm sorry, how dare you compare me to a whore? Why are you even doing so anyway?"

"Because you was acting like one. You went to this gathering, became intoxicated and then pranced your body around like a cat in heat."

"WHAT? I…I…I don't remember that" she quickly turned and walked to her door pulling it open she looked backed at him.

"I'm going to the bathroom when I come back I hope you have an apology for me if not you can see yourself out, do I make myself clear?

"Fine"

Kagome closed the door behind her and began the short walk to her bathroom. She was in her yellow pajama shorts and black tang top. As she walked she was reminded of her headache and suddenly she was aware of how cold the floor was beneath her feet and the cool air that had lightly touched her skin, she crossed her arms around her chest and made a detour to the AC so she could turn it up. Sixty degrees, Gosh Sota why do you put this thing so low it's like the middle of winter in here. She spiked it up to seventy six and was relieved when she heard the heater kick in. As she brushed her teeth she played with hair twirling it around with her finger. Sesshomaru is such a jerk. I mean I don't even remember what happened last night, he could at least fill me in then talk to me nicely, but nooo he had to go all Lord Of The West on me. Jerk… but still it was kind of cute how he got all jealous just now. She finished brushing rinsed and shut off the water. Walking back to her room and feeling warm now that the house was back to normal temperature she heard a knock on the door, looking down the stairs to the front door she wondered who it could be.

"Sota can you please get the door" No answer

"Mom, Grandpa? Grate no one is home. HOLD ON I'LL BE RIGHT THERE."

She ran down the stairs and opened the door slowly.

"Hojo, um hi, what brings you here?"

"I was worried about you and came to see if you was ok. Can I come in?"

She didn't hear the door to her room open and close. "Yes come in. Would you like some tae? Hojo are you ok?" she turned to look at what had her classmate so frightened, only to see Sesshomaru coming down the stairs.

He sat down on her bed waiting for her to return, He would just this once try and talk to her, try and understand her actions. He had come to a decision quite some time ago to give in to his so called feeling for the girl, and if he was going to do that then he would have to learn how to see her as an equal and not someone he can speak to how he deemed fit. She was not some whore that was just there for the ride, no she was different, and she looked at him with compaction and trust, aside from Rin and Jakin he never met anyone who looked at him that way before. It was a bonus that she no longer held her tongue and spoke her mind when she had to but she also knew her place and summited when she needed. He would for the first time in his life apologize.

He was pulled out of his own mind when he heard a knock followed by a very familiar voice. He tried to stay put but curiosity got the best of him and decided to get a cup of tea.

Hojo could hear Kagome talking but he couldn't bring himself to say anything. He was afraid that if he did his tongue would no longer reside in his mouth. Hojo could tell this man wasn't normal, if he said of did the wrong thing he would be killed. What is he? He looks like he's some kind of gang banger. No not with that outfit and his posture is perfect… hold on is that a semiarid sword? Grate he's a dojo master, so not only can he kill me but I am noting compared to him. His eyes never moved from Sesshomaru as he seemed to be flying down the steps.

"Hojo!"

"Oh Kagome I'm sorry I was just thinking and I have a question to ask you."

"Yah sure, just hold that thought for just a moment." She turned and gave Sesshomaru a death glair "Did you need something?"

"Not from you or your little friend, I was just headed to the kitchen." He walked around the railing and into the kitchen all the while remembering to keep an ear open.

"I'm sorry about him he can be such a pain sometimes. Now what was it you wanted to ask me?"

He stared at her intensely before coming right out and saying it. "Um Kagome who his he to you?"

"Who, Sesshomaru… Well you see he's… he's a really close friend of mine, of the family"

"Is that all? Cause the way he acted at the party seemed like much more then friends. I don't mean to pry but I just feel like as your boyfriend I should know these things"

"My boyfriend? Hojo, what do you mean? When did you become my boyfriend?"

"I mean after last night I thought we had finally moved on to the next step and finally made it official"

"Um… Hojo don't take this the wrong way but what exactly happened last night between us?"

"You mean to tell me that you don't remember?" Oh man am I that forgettable

"I don't remember anything passed wanting to dance."

His eyes went wide. "Oh crap I'm sorry Kagome please forget what I said about being your boyfriend, I mean it's not like I don't want to be your boyfriend I would love that… um what am I saying I'm sorry I have to go bye." He turned and pulled opened the door and quickly walked out not even bothering to look back.

"HAY HOJO!"

"Yes" he said with a shy smile

"See you at school?"

His smile was genuine this time "Yah see you"

She walked to the kitchen and headed straight for the cabinet taking out a cup and filling it with water from the sink. Then she walked over to the refrigerator and attempted to get the pill bottle marked aspirin, when her attempt failed she took a deep breath in and slowly let it out and turned to the man standing only two feet away, before she could say anything he had the bottle in his hand and opened it for here.

"Thank you" She took it from him and placed it on the counter. Putting two small round pills into her mouth followed by a swig of water

"What are you looking at me like that for?"

"You seem rater friendly with this boy"

"What?"

"First at the party now in your home. Letting him in while no one is home is not lady like Kagome."

"I wasn't alone you were here."

"You didn't know if I had left or not, you was making an assumption."

"Oh please"

"What would Inuyasha say…? Hm"

She looked up at him and for the first time in a long time he seen red in her eyes. Fire that sparked his interest in her to begin with and she like it. He knew that he was stepping over his boundaries but he like that he could make her tremble even if it was anger. But oh how he wished it was under different circumstances. And just like that he was dogging a flying glass cup

"Did that make you feel better? Cause if it didn't I can think of a way to help you with that."
