Chapter 21
I struggled in his arms.
"Calm down!" His voice was raspy.
"No! Let me go!" I shouted. I tried wiggling out of his grip but it was so tight around my waist… Wouldn't he kill me right now? I'm not the type who likes to take a lot of risks. I managed to wriggle my hand into my pocket and grab out my pocket knife.
"Shhh! Be quiet!" As I flipped open my knife- "Nya, what are you doing?!"
"Wait…. Kai?"
"Of course." I sighed in relief. "You scared me…"
"You had me worried…"
"Same here. Why do you sound like that?"
"I'm just really thirsty."
"That'll explain it… Are the others ok?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm not sure about Jay…"
"He's fine. He's with me." I reassured him.
"So where is he?"
"Back at our tree, he badly burned himself so I told him to stay while I try to find some herbs to help him heal and-"
"And, he let you go by yourself?!"
"Kai! Shhh!"
"What does he think he's doing? Where's your bow?"
"Ummm…"
"Nya!" He grabbed my shoulders and held it firmly. I told him how Jay and I found each other and our little bump into the stone warriors.
"He's such an idiot." I heard kai muttered.
"Don't be mean to him." I scold him.
"Fine… Let's quickly go to Jay."
An hour later
Kai, Jay and I stayed in the tree, keeping an eye out. Kai actually had some herbs to help with burns. Jay's leg looked much better but he can't run too fast. He can move it. Kai had got water for his throat and this tree actually got sticky sap! As I tried mending my bow, Jay sat next to me.
"How's it going?"
"It's really bugging me… the sap not strong enough." I sighed as I placed my broken bow down.
"Don't look so blue, I'm sure one of those stone warriors has a bow." He reassured me. I nodded and rested my head on his shoulder. Good thing Kai is looking for some food.
"Are we really going to win? We don't know much about Lloyd, Zane and Cole. We don't even have a proper plan to defeat these guys…" I sighed.
"I got a plan. How about we sneak into their base?"
"Have you gone nuts?" I asked.
"No, most of them will be out here. Of course none of them will expect we would go into their base. Come on, let's give it a try."
"Not with your leg."
"Nya, this is important." He told me. I sighed.
"Alright but not today or tomorrow, we would have to check the base out before we do anything."
"Ok commander Nya." He said and smiled goofy. I couldn't help but giggle. I leaned down and kissed his lips and moved away. "Awwww, can't you do it for much longer?"
"But Kai will be back any moment."
"He knows we're together, it doesn't matter." Jay told me as he cupped my cheek.
"Just later alright, when we're alone?" I asked. He nodded and I peck his cheek.
A couple days later
Many things had happen in the past few days. Jay's leg healed, I got a new bow, we found Lloyd, Cole and Zane and we had managed to go into the Stone Army's base without drawing attention and went back down.
"So I think one of us should go through this entry and set off the gunpowder then run. While we got their attention with the gunpowder then the rest of us will go through the north entry and sneak into those spare vehicles Cole spotted." I suggested as I pointed to the rough map of the base.
"Nya, I think it would be better if we grab gun powder and place it in the vehicles so that can cause more havoc." Cole said.
"Ok, we can do that and go through the east entry then. Then we will sneak in and still some of the armour to disguise ourselves."
"Then what?" Lloyd asked.
"We'll keep causing chaos until we can get Garmadon's attention. Do stuff like destroy their weapon and vehicles so when we do attack, they have a disadvantage." I told them.
"That sounds like a good plan." Zane said as he picked up the map and looked at it closely.
"But will it work? What happens if we get caught? It hasn't easy trying to hide and look around…" I heard kai sighed.
"We'll just have to try." I said and I took the map off of Zane and looked at it again.
"So when do we strike?"
"Tonight, when it's dark… Unless you guys want to do it tomorrow night." I answered.
"Maybe tonight. They could be planning something as well so if we do it before they act, then we have an advantage." Zane answered.
"Ok, tonight it is."
That Night
Jay, Kai, Zane, Lloyd and I waited among the vehicles in the Stone Army's base. The dark sky hung over our heads as it sparked with jewels and the big moon was tiny here. We waited for Cole to come with the gunpowder since he said he knew where they were. We were hiding within the cargo of a helicopter, its dark colour scheme really made it look deadly and evil. Then we saw a figure running out to us.
"Hide." I whispered.
"Wait, it just me!" He heard Cole whisper loudly. I sighed in relief. We had many stone warriors come to check on the vehicles. We all grabbed a handful of gunpowder from Cole and we placed some in the vehicles and around them.
"Are you sure you can run fast on your leg?" I whispered to Jay. We're going to have one person stay to light it up but of course they need to be a fast runner… I'm just afraid Jay might get caught.
"Yes I can, I promise I'll come back fine ok?" He asked me as he cupped my cheek.
"Alright… But not in front of the others." I said and brushed his hand off but he kissed me on the cheek quickly. "Jay…" I sighed.
"Nya, come on, we need to leave." I heard kai shouted in a whispered.
"Be careful ok?" I asked. He nodded and I left to follow the other's to go to the other entrance.
Ok that's that chapter done! I think the next chapter or the one after is the end for this story. Sadly I won't make a 2nd story for this story so please don't ask. Please review!
