Chapter 21

BPOV

Edward groaned before getting back up. He glanced at where I was hiding before charging into the cabin again. I could hear the scuffle and grunts and hoped that Ben and Edward where on the victorious side. That hope was dashed when Jasper appeared in the doorway a few moments later and scanned the area. I ducked down so he couldn't see me and waited several minutes before peeking out.

Crap! How in the hell am I going to get us out of this? Okay think Bella dammit I needed Angela she thought better on her feet, but I would never put her in this type of danger with her being pregnant. And besides I think the sight of Angela would send Jasper over the edge, he had made it no secret he hated her at this point.

Checking to see if the coast was clear I made my way to the side of the cabin to look into the window. Ben and Edward were both tied up and Edward was unconscious. I looked around the room and spotted one of the needles lying on the floor.

Picking up a huge rock I threw it behind the cabin and let it smash into the generator making a loud noise. Jasper looked up and walked to the rear of the cabin and left out of the back door. I made a quick decision, moving as fast as I possibly could I ran to the front door and beelined for the needle. Edward was coming around and his eyes widened at the sight of me in front of him.

I knew he would be furious but what the hell was I supposed to do? They had gotten their asses kicked and Angela was still waiting in the car alone with an incapacitated Alice.

He opened his mouth to say something and quieted down when he heard Jasper's footsteps on the back porch. I quickly moved behind the door and prayed this would work. Jasper entered the room and I just acted and plunged the needle in his neck.

He turned on me and grabbed me by the neck. I heard Edward screaming my name before the world went black.

EPOV

Ben and I entered the cabin quietly as possible which obviously wasn't quiet enough as Jasper was alerted to our presence almost instantly. It may have been the bond he held with his brother, but that was irrelevant. Right now we had an angry war General before us itching for a fight.

"Jasper we need you to come home Alice is fading away. She needs you, your mate is dying without you." Ben was trying to appeal to Jasper using Alice but he was so far gone hearing Alice's name didn't even phase him. The only thing I was picking up in his thoughts was Tanya's commands running repeatedly through his head. "Kill Angela she is a threat." "Kill Bella she is a threat." "The baby must not be born." I was murderous and knew that Tanya would have to die after this. We had been kidding ourselves thinking that she wouldn't go this far but to have Jasper kill his own brothers mate and child was the sign she was truly demented.

"Ben the plan is to kill Angela, Bella and the baby. Her influence over him is to strong he has no free will talking will not help." I knew that he hoped Jasper could fight off the control, that the mate bond was stronger than the trickery of Tanya's gift but after hearing what I said he resigned himself to a fight.

Ben struck first not wasting any time. Jasper countered his brothers blows easily before sending him crashing into a wall with a round house kick to the chest. I went at him while his attention was diverted and grabbed him from behind. I was rewarded with an elbow to my gut before being flipped over his shoulder. I looked up and Ben knocked Jasper back just as he was about to kick me in the head. I jumped up and threw a punch at Jasper which he dodged and grabbed my wrist. I used my left leg to knee him in the stomach and Ben hit him with a left.

This seemed to anger him more than hurt him as the next thing I knew I was flying through the window when he used my weight against me.

Fuck that hurt. I was momentarily amused at the human phrases that I was picking up when I faintly heard Bella's thought's. She was concerned, I looked her way briefly before heading back into the cabin gripping the needle.

Ben and Jasper where squaring off like two arch nemesis. Jasper was the soldier but Ben had trained extensively and the truth was he didn't have to win which he couldn't he just needed to get the needle in Jasper's skin.

I saw my chance and came up behind Jasper Just as I was about to plunge the needle in his arm he caught my elbow and wrist. Twisting my arm around he rammed my head into the coffee table.

I woke up with a start and discovered I was tied to a chair. The first thing I saw was Bella reaching down and picking up one of the needles. I panicked if Jasper saw her it was game over. I was about to yell at her to leave when I heard footsteps on the back porch. My heart lurched as Bella ran and hid behind the door and I could only watch in horror as she rammed the needle in his skin and him turn on her.

Gripping her by the neck he slammed her head into the wall. I screamed her name as she slumped to the floor. Memories of my parents dying in front of me while I was helpless to help them resurfaced. I couldn't let that happen again to another person I loved I wouldn't survive it again

As Bella fell Jasper stumbled and fell backwards as the drug was taking effect. He tried to pull out his cell phone and make a call but he passed out before he could dial out much to my relief.

"Edward we have got to get loose." Ben was squirming trying to loosen the knots with no luck.

"Well no shit Ben!" I snapped. I was agitated and my girlfriend was currently laying on the floor because his brother knocked her out.

I looked around and didn't see anything that we could use to get ourselves free.

And if things couldn't get any worse someone was coming through the front door.
