A/N: Okay, first up I want to thank the three people that reviewed chapter 20. Now second COME ON GUYS! I feel like people aren't reading or at least don't like this story! I am getting less and less reviews each chapter! I realize that the only people that are probably reading this A/N are the three people that reviewed last chapter. I will never quit this story because of some stupid reason like me thinking people don't enjoy reading my story, but I would REALLY like some feed back guys! I mean DO you hate it? DO you like it? WHAT? Okay I'm done with my rant.
BUT IF I GET FIVE REVIEWS BY TOMORROW I WILL POST A NEW CHAPTER TOMORROW.
Disclaimer: I created Ray, Xavier, Chris, Andrew, and Sabrina's 'Past' that is all. The rest of the rights go to Michael Buckley, and whoever created the 'John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt' song.
Recap:
No one else says anything after that, I just stare at the dock getting smaller and smaller, till it's almost gone. That's when Puck yells, "We're here." I take off my shoes and socks, and step into the river. Ray does the same. We run on to the rocky beach of the island and put back on our shoes. Andrew and Puck drag the boat onto shore join us on the ground.
The Past's Not Always in the Past Chapter 21
Sabrina's POV
Ray stands up after a few minutes of staring at the horizon. She dusts off her pants and says, "Come on! Let explore the island, and see if that little ghost story Puck told us was true!" She starts walking off the beach.
"No, stop!" I call to Ray. "Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean…" I pause trying to think of an excuse not to go running around on an island in the dark with Andrew, besides the obvious one, which Ray will undoubtedly call me out on being afraid of him, "what if Puck's right?" I finally come out with.
"Don't tell me your afraid of some old lady!? Besides, what fun is it sitting there waiting for the other team to find us?" Ray asks with a knowing look.
I sigh and say, "If you shut up, I will 'explore' with you." Ray pretends to zip her mouth shut and lock it with a key… but then proceeds to open her mouth and swallow that pretend key… which I think defeats the whole purpose of whatever she was doing.
I roll my eyes and head further into the island. I assume it's been forty-five since we left Applebee's farm. Ray falls in to step next to me, and I can hear Andrew and Puck's murmurs behind us as we march forward.
"Ahhhh!" Ray screams next to me. I twist to see what caused her to be freighted. Ray was on the ground massaging her, probably now bruised, head.
"Why the heck is there black ice in the middle of a forest in the fall!" Ray yells, ticked off at no one in particular.
I look at Puck worriedly; I can tell he's thinking the same thing. The Ice Queen.
"Hey, look there's a whole path of ice, lets see where it leads!" Ray says.
"Um, how about we don't go down the magically appearing ice path." I say sarcastically.
"Where'd your love of adventure go, Twenty?" Ray asks disappointed.
"Down the drain with my love of everything else." I mutter, knowing that it's not the truth.
"Well I'm going with or without you!" Ray calls, sliding down the path made of ice.
I groan and Puck follows her and says, "Yeah, you're no fun Grimm."
"Weren't you the one that said we shouldn't come here?" I retort, following him and Ray.
"And whose fault is it that we are here?" Puck asks smugly. I just grumble insults under my breath and Puck and Ray laugh in response.
"I like this kid!" Ray says jerking her thumb in Puck's direction. What Ray said bothers me… She's supposed to be my best friend, not part of Puck's fan club!
But I don't say that, instead I scowl and mutter angrily, "You wouldn't like him if you lived with him and were the target of his pranks."
Ray shrugs and says a simple, "Maybe." And the conversation stops there. That is… until we hear a crunch.
"Snow!" Ray yells like a child on Christmas. She runs forward, but then stops, twirls around on the snow covered ground, and falls back on to the soft snow making a snow angel.
We are in an opening in the forest, a place where a meadow would probably be if this snow weren't everywhere. About 150 feet in front of us is a huge glass- no, wait… ice- palace. I look at it suspiciously, thinking about whether or not someone could still be living in the house. It's obvious that it was made by magic and not actually carved from ice. For one thing, it would have long melted away by now if it were carved from regular ice.
My thoughts were interrupted though, by a sudden shove into the snow. I pop my head out of the snow scowling, and meet gazes with Ray who is still on the ground also. She's biting her lip as if she's expecting something bad to happen, glancing between my attacker and myself. My scowl is immediately changed to a death glare upon seeing the creature in front of me. I turned around expecting Puck, only to see Andrew standing above me with a smirk. I get up as quick as I can and punch Andrew straight in the nose.
I think I broke it, because it's twisted at a weird angle. "Now all I have to do is break five of your ribs, dislocate your shoulder, hit you over the head with a bat, and if that doesn't knock you out, then knock you out two times, and then we'll be even." I whisper in his ear, Andrew just smirks at me in response, like this was all apart of some huge plan of his.
"What the heck Twenty!? All I did was give you a playful shove into the soft snow!" Andrew yells suddenly, holding his nose like he's in a lot of pain.
"Yeah, what was that Grimm?!" Puck yells.
"This has nothing to do with you." I growl back at him.
"Um… Yeah… I think it does, you broke my friend's nose!" Puck yells.
"Exactly! He's your friend! Not your family!" I yell pointing to myself, "It's not your responsibility to take care of him! You don't even know the real Andrew!" I scream at Puck.
"What are you talking about?" Puck yells genuinely confused.
"I'm talking abo-" I start but a loud clanging and a roar from inside the ice palace interrupt me.
Puck and I share a look, we've heard that type of roar way to many times to not know what's making the sound.
"Run!" We yell at the same time. I grab Ray's arm and sprint into the forest. I duck behind a bush with her and Puck and Andrew joins us.
"Kind of ironic don't you think, an Ice Queen owning a dragon." Puck says.
"Ice Queen!?" Andrew yells.
"Dragon!?" Ray yells.
"Shhhh!" Puck and I say together.
"You guys are crazy!" Andrew whisper yells.
"So what are we going to do? We have no water cannons, no water guns, and no army." I ask Puck, completely ignoring Andrew.
"I took down a dragon before, I can do it again." Puck boasts proudly pushing his chest out.
"Well, what weapons do we have?" I ask taking the dagger I always keep with me out of my Nike. I reach into my shorts and stick my hand in the secret pocket inside; grateful I forgot to take my magically shrunken sword out of them from the last time I wore them. I squeeze the tiny sword in my hand, turning it to full size, only feeling a tiny tingle of magic.
"Whoa!" Andrew says surprised.
"Wow." Ray says not as shocked as Andrew.
Puck takes out his trusty wooden sword and says, "We can do this."
I hope so. I think to myself, not really believing what Puck said. I take a peak over the bush to see where the dragon is… uh oh… I shouldn't have done that!
"Move!" I scream, diving to the left of the bush. I look back to see everyone got out of the way of the blast… but that is not a normal dragon.
So guys, it's NEVER to late to start reviewing! PLEEEAAASSEE!
Alright, I'm going to take a long nap now… Being sick stinks.
Also the five reviews have to be by five different people.
REVIEWS:
Guest,- I'm glad.
Guest, We Don't Exist,- Yeah, it bothers me too when people get quite and quiet mixed up; I mean they are totally different words! I find pretty frustrating. And, NO, thank you so much, I never know how to respond to your reviews well, because you compliment me so much, and I don't want to come across as a jerk with a big ego, which I'm not, (well I don't think I am). You reviews make me feel like someone actually cares about this story, and they make me happier than when I am reading any other reviews, I mean, of course I love all the reviews I get and I am thankful for all of them, but most of them are short, and either say they 'love the story', or 'update soon!' which doesn't bother me at all… But I would rather hear what they love about it, or better yet, what I am not very good at. And I love your reviews so much, that I was sad that you stopped and though that you maybe stopped reviewing forever, like many others. So I was beyond happy when I got your review. So yes this it my thank you to you, and you will always exist to me. ;D
