"It's not here." Mary's voice sounded far away as she drew closer until she loomed over Gary. Her eyes were as lifeless as the dolls' surrounding them. Gary could see himself reflected in them; see his face of sheer terror that is shadowed by Mary's figure.
"Never." She raised her knife up high. "It was never here!" She yelled before bringing it down in one smooth arch. Blood splattered onto her scarred face, her ruined clothes, the nearby dolls and Ib.
Mary pulled her knife out, causing more blood to ooze out. She straightened and stared at Ib. "Stop it!" Ib cried as she cradled Gary in her arms, smeared with his blood.
"What's the point? There was never a rose, never a way, never a choice." Mary droned and stepped towards her. Ib flinched as she watched her lift her knife once again. "Don't do it, Mary, don't let them do it." Ib said, searching for any trace left of her in her expression.
"Lies! The only answer is despair! We can only have that!" A tear rolled down her cheek. Ib went rigid and slumped over Gary. Mary sniffed and wiped her eyes with her sleeve, only to make her face more blood stained than before.
She turned to face the big doll in the middle of the room. It was grinning back at her. Mary narrowed her eyes, frowning. Without wasting another second, she lunged and stabbed it. She stuck her hand through its mouth, groping for an object. She yanked it out and examined it. It was exactly what she was looking for.
"See you." Mary said smiling as she ambled towards the door and unlocked it with the key that she had found inside the doll. She left without another word, leaving a trail of red, sticky footprints behind her.
