Chapter Twenty-Two: Target Acquired

Squid and Amy were nearly at the castle gate when and arrow hit the ground ten whole blocks away from Squid's head.

"DAB NABBIT RABBIT FIZZ BANG BOOM!" the voice of an angry skeleton said from one of the towers.

"Ha!" Squid shouted pointing at the angry skeleton who was throwing his bow around. "You couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with that kind of shot!"

The skeleton shot Squid's party hat off.

"Squiddy!" Amy said worried as Squid ran to retrieve his hat.

"I'll be back in a sec, Amy!" Squid called out from behind.

The skeletons aimed their bows at Amy sinisterly.

"Um…"

They pulled back the arrows.

Amy was sweating. "Uh…"

They let go.

Thousands – and I mean thousands – of arrows flew towards the terrified Amy who was running as fast as she possibly could away from the castle. But it was a lost cause. No matter how far she ran, it was no match for the gaining arrows. She curled up and lay in the middle of her demise crying, when Squid came running back.

"No!" he yelled as the arrows gained on her with terrifying speed.

Just as the arrows were about to hit her, a certain orange and white oval-shaped ship got in the way.

Amy looked up and smiled when she saw the friendly cat in the cockpit smiling and waving. Stampy then turned the ship to look at the bewildered skeletons in the tower, and shot a missile out of the turret at the top that took out the entire top of the tower.

"We'll distract them," Stampy said to Squid and Amy. "You go in. We'll meet you there."

And with that, his ship took off into the air where Sqaishey was hanging out.

"Battle stations," Dan said through the communicator ten-thousand which just happened to be named Ned. "Prepare yourselves."

Fifteen and a half seconds later, a massive battle involving two oval-shaped spaceships, two sea creatures, HitTheTarget's turrets and loads and loads and loads of skeletons began. And HitTheTarget seemed to be losing. That is, until he sent his Skele-ships after them. They took Stampy by surprise, shooting at the sides of his ship, which went absolutely crazy, spun out of control, and nearly crashed into a floating banana. He managed to stabilize it, scowl, and totally annihilate the enemy ships.

Meanwhile, Squid and Amy were fighting their way into the castle. Once they beat up the guards and went through the door, they were now faced with a strait hallway. This wouldn't have been so bad, if it wasn't for the iron doors that were placed every five blocks apart down the tunnel.

"Lever." Squid said looking at Amy.

Amy placed a lever next to the door and they went through to the next door that already had a stone button on it. They pressed it and went through to the next one, which also had a stone button. Squid and Amy looked at each other and shrugged simultaneously before going through.

That's when a certain orange and white oval shaped ship crashed through the ceiling nearly crushing Squid. Stampy awkwardly crawled out and shrugged when he saw Squid and Amy. Then came Sqaishey's ship nearly crushing Squid again.

"Well," Stampy said helping Sqaishey crawl out. "We're in."
