"Elektra, try to bring in the lightning." Katie commanded dully, her arms hanging lazily at each side of her body. Elektra stared at her, crooning with worry from her position in the air.
"What are you waiting for? Do it!" Dagur demanded. The Skrill did as she was told, drawing the electricity into her body. Dagur pointed out to the water at a certain spot and Elektra tried to hit it but missed by a few inches. Katie quickly noticed her Dragon as it's flapping grew less active. Elektra had been working hard so of course she would be exhausted.
"Dagur, let Elektra rest, please. She's worked hard enough." Katie murmured to the man. He looked at her with narrowed eyes. She looked at Elektra and quickly gestured with one hand. Elektra nodded and started to fly off as Katie kept Dagur occupied. "Please, Dagur? She's listened to your commands so far." She looked at him through her lashes, a silent way of flirting she had learnt back in Scotland. Dagur's gaze weakened and he sighed before nodding.
"Dagur, sir, the Skrill is escaping!" One of the men exclaimed. Katie quickly looked behind him with a well-acted look of surprise. She moved to the edge of the boat.
"Elektra! No, come back!" She cried, arms outstretched. She smirked when the Berserker tribe believed her act and turned around with fake tears in her eyes, her lips quivering. Katie's eyes filled with fear as she looked at Dagur who was mad as hell. Her body shook slightly. "B-but... now Elektra's gone, you h-have no use for me... what are you going to do with me then?" Dagur looked at her before grinning. He moved forward and whipped her tears away.
"My dear, you're still of use to me. We will get your Skrill back and you will be my goddess of my tribe. Together, we will rule side-by-side and bring down Berk." Dagur declared as he wrapped an arm around her waist, making her eyes widen in true dread and horror. She was so sure he was going to kill her. She hoped he wouldn't continue but her prayers weren't answered. "You will be wed to me and we will lead the Berserker tribe to glory! Our children and our children's children will talk about us!" Katie quickly pulled back from his grip.
"No!" She cried, pushing past him and heading quickly down bellow deck. Katie shook her head. No this couldn't be happening. Dagur couldn't have fallen for her, this wasn't right! Dagur watched her run, a grin on his lips.
"You can try to run but there's no way to escape us, Katie! You're mine!" He yelled, laughing his deranged laugh. Katie dove for her cell, slamming the door quickly behind herself as she curled up in the corner, covering her ears and shutting her eyes. She shook her head, hoping this was a nightmare and that she'd wake up soon. Katie looked up to see Hiccup smiling sweetly at her.
"I love you." He murmured sweetly, crouching by her. Katie reached out to touch his cheek but he disappeared. An illusion. A cruel, sick illusion of her mind. She cried softly, closing her hand.
Elektra roared tiredly, flapping her wings as hard as she could. She just knew she was close to Berk by the sight of it in the distance. She cried loudly to catch the attention of Berk's residents. Coming to the shoreline, Elektra noticed a couple of people on the beach and her wings gave out. She collapsed onto the beach and the two people gasped in shock. It was Fishlegs and Hiccup. Hiccup realised who the Skrill was immediately and dove for her side.
"Elektra?! How?! How did you escape?!" Hiccup exclaimed, trying to see if he could see Katie but she was nowhere. The dragon crooned before falling asleep, very tired. "We've got to get her to Gothi as soon as possible. Maybe we can get her healed soon and she can lead us to Katie!" Fishlegs nodded. Hiccup picked up the young Skrill and they dashed through the village to get to Gothi's, eager to heal the Dragon and find the Berserker ships.
A couple of days passed and Elektra was back to her normal self. The young Dragon was happy to be back home but she knew she had to save her owner. Elektra find care the cost, she would fly around the world to save the kind female who acted as a mother to her.
"Elektra, will you how us where Katie is?" Hiccup questioned the healed Dragon. Elektra nodded. "Then we leave now. We'll get there by dark, right?" Elektra nodded once again, flapping her wings.
"We're going too." Astrid and Erin moved forward, determined looks on their faces. Gale and Stormfly cried in agreement.
"No, it's too dangerous." Hiccup said, Toothless purring loudly.
"Strength in numbers! C'mon, Hiccup, I've got to go! She's my best friend!" Erin pleaded, her hands clasped together. "Please, we can do it together! She's been gone for so long, I want to see her as soon as possible!" Hiccup looked at Erin before turning to Astrid. He sighed.
"All right. Let's go then." Hiccup mounted Toothless, Astrid and Erin getting on their respective dragons. Elektra immediately screeched, flapping her wings and heading out to sea. The three Dragon riders followed her closely behind, prepared to fight to bring Katie back before they did something to hurt her or worse, kill her. The sun fell past the horizon as they travelled on, stopping once they spotted a bunch of boats. Elektra swooped over the largest ship, not soul above deck. The three Dragons landed on the boat and Hiccup immediately went bellow deck, leaving Erin and Astrid up on the surface. He quietly snuck past some sleeping guards and headed past many rooms and cells. His head perked up when he heard a quiet sniffle. A small voice quietly sung, leading him towards the cell he needed to find.
Take a breath and I try to draw from my spirits well.
Yet again you refuse to drink like a stubborn child.
Lie to me,
Convince me that I've been sick forever.
And all of this,
Will make sense when I get better.
But I know the difference,
Between myself and my reflection.
I just can't help but to wonder,
Which of us do you love.
So I bleed,
I bleed,
And I breathe,
I breathe no...
Bleed,
I bleed,
And I breathe,
I breathe,
I breathe-
I breathe no more
Just then, Hiccup came to a cell door and saw the girl he was looking for curled up in the corner. His hands grabbed at the bars.
"Katie!" He hissed, making her perk up. Katie's eyes widened in shock and she lunged forward, grasping at the bars with tears flowing down her cheeks. Her hands reached through, hesitantly touching his cheek. When she was sure he was real, Katie kissed him. They held hands through the bars, their lips still connected. They pulled back and Hiccup examined her rather scruffy appearance. Her clothes were ragged and messy and her hair was matted with dirt, her eyes even had dark bags under them. Despite all of this, Hiccup still thought she was beautiful and loved her.
"I've missed you so much! I love you, Hiccup!" Katie murmured, her dull blue eyes lighting up. She bit her lip, looking around. "The key. Where's the key?" She asked. Someone cleared their throat. The two looked away from each other to see Astrid dangling a key from her fingers, a grin on her face. She unlocked the door and Katie swiftly made her way out and towards Hiccup, collapsing into his arms from exhaustion and hugging him. "I'm so... glad..." She murmured before falling asleep after not sleeping for the length of time she was a prisoner. Hiccup carried her out and held her close when getting onto Toothless. The Dragon riders and Elektra silently took off back to Berk and away from the Berserker tribe, glad they had saved Katie without a single act of violence.
