All day, everyone's eyes were on us. Rosalie loved the attention and seemed to do all she could to garner it. She met me before and after every class and held my hand, fingers intertwined of course, as she walked me to each of my classes. As we walked to all my classes, she would lean in very close and whisper things into my ear that would make me laugh. She would tell me what the other students were saying about us; I was sure she was leaving things out, but from what she told me, there were some very funny theories floating around.

Some kids thought that Rosalie was spending time with me to somehow make Emmett jealous because she had a new friend. Other kids thought Rosalie was being forced by the other Cullens to be nice to me as some sort of punishment. The stranger kids thought that Rosalie was being so friendly with me because she was using me as a way to get better grades. Apparently those kids knew of my good grades, thanks to Charlie, but hadn't bothered to realize that all the Cullen's had good grades themselves.

There were a few kids, the more observant kids like Angela, that thought Rosalie was being nice to me because, not only were we friends, but because there was something more between the two of us. Rosalie told me that no one had actually said out loud that they thought we were dating. Edward told us during lunch though, that even though kids weren't saying it out loud, they were definitely thinking that two of us were dating. I couldn't help but feel a little bit of pride in myself that, according to both Edward and Jasper, a lot of the boys, and even some of the girls, were jealous that I had so much of not only the Cullen's attention, but especially Rosalie's.

Lunch was spent with listening to Alice and Emmett talking about everything they had heard so far about Rosalie and I. They were also making some bets with Edward, and occasionally Jasper and even Rosalie, about when and how people would try to confirm what was going between me and Rosalie. The fact that Rosalie's chair couldn't physically get any closer to mine and that her arm had somehow managed to get draped across the back of my chair didn't help stop the other kids from speculating about us.

After lunch, the few rare moments Rosalie wasn't with me, I was on the receiving end of a few harsh glares, but no one said anything directly at me. At one point, it had looked as if Lauren and Jessica were about to walk up to me, and probably say something harsh, but before they could take two steps, Alice her arm looped through mine and was leading me away. I had to admit, I was very happy to have a physic as a friend.

It wasn't until after school that I was finally used to all the staring Rosalie and I had gotten. I was still blushing, but I liked to think I wasn't blushing as hard. Instead of just holding my hand though, as we walked out of the school doors and into the school parking lot, Rosalie her arm around my shoulders and I couldn't resist just slightly leaning into her as we walked… it also helped that I had accidently tripped and Rosalie was very good at keeping from falling down.

"You coming over Bells?" Emmett asked as we loitered by their cars.

"If you want to Bella, you can come over and we can work on our homework." Rosalie interjected before I could answer. "Esme would love to see you as well." The blonde quickly added.

I was initially going to decline their invitation. I didn't want to stay over all the time and overstay my welcome; though something tells me that they wouldn't mind; I personally just wasn't ready for being over at their house so often. It was such a big difference from how my life was not too long ago, so staying over at someone else's house all the time could take some time to get used to. So, I was going to say no, but when Rosalie mentioned Esme, I couldn't help but be tempted to go over.

It was a weird feeling. I wasn't like I had gone that long without seeing Esme, but it just felt odd seeing Rosalie and not Esme; and then Rosalie telling me that Esme would actually want to see me, it made the invitation all that more tempting. Something just didn't feel right about Esme being sad; especially over something as simple as not seeing me. In her defense though, I would be a bit sad if I didn't see her all day; especially when I actually had a chance to.

"I guess I can go over; if you guys don't mind me being there. I have been there a lot recently." I finally said.

"Of course we don't mind Bella." Rosalie quickly assured me.

"We like having you around." Emmett said with his normal big grin in place.

"It's a nice change from what we've always done." Edward said with a lop-sided grin that I had no doubt lots of other girls would love to have directed at them.

Having had the same routine for centuries had probably gotten boring for all of them. Rosalie and Esme had told me about all the different hobbies they had gotten into to try and fight off boredom. I was actually very impressed about all the different things they had all learned to do throughout the years and all the things they still were still going to be able to do. I was actually a little jealous about what all they have been able to do and will do.

"Plus Bella, Rosalie is getting more and more difficult to convince to let me give her a make-over." Alice said with a pout; which caused Jasper to chuckle before giving her a small kiss that made her smile again.

"Come on, Esme will be happy to have you over." Rosalie said as she started to direct me towards the passenger side of her car.

We all got into the two vehicles we had arrived in and made our way to their home. I wouldn't be surprised if they started to make me coming over after school every day a routine; I wouldn't be that opposed to the idea if they suggested it.

When we finally arrived at their house, the others having beaten us there and already inside, Esme greeted me and Rosalie at the door and immediately wrapped me into a hug. The three of us went into the dining room and Rosalie and I pulled out what little homework we had. Halfway through working on our homework, Esme pulled out cookies that she had apparently made earlier that day and made sure I had a few as a snack while Rosalie and I finished up our homework.

As soon as our homework was done, Rosalie was done within seconds and then both she and Esme helped me whenever I had a question about mine, Emmett and Alice dragged the three of us to the living room so that I could play video games with them. Since I wasn't very good at any of the games Emmett had picked out, I eventually got Rosalie to take my place and she had no problem beating Emmett for me.

"You have to be cheating Rosie." Emmett almost yelled when Rosalie beat him once again at the third game he had picked. "There's no way you could have beaten me this time."

Emmett was sitting literally in front of the TV, controller in hand, and had his upper body turned around as he yelled at Rosalie. Rosalie was on the couch with Esme and I was sitting in between them. Edward was off somewhere else in the house, apparently playing the piano but I couldn't hear it due to the games sound effects being so loud. Jasper was sitting on a recliner reading a thick book and Alice was standing just behind him, playing with a strand of her hair. Carlisle was the only one not in the house, he wasn't due to come home for a few more hours.

"Of course I'm not cheating." Rosalie, as if she was offended by the accusation. Which, she very well could have been. "You're just not that good." Rosalie said in such a nonchalant way that it almost seemed as if she was just saying a simple fact, not insulting someone.

"I'm the best at this game though; I always win." Emmett all but whined.

"You don't always win." Alice said in a sing-song voice.

"Yes I do!" Emmett stood up with his hands on his hips, controller still in hand, and looked like a little kid defending his position.

"When was the last time you beat me?" Alice leaned over the back of the recliner Jasper was still sitting on and had a big grin on her face; it was like she knew what was going to happen and was excited to see it play out. Being a physic, Alice had to know what was about to happen and was more than likely excited to see it all play out.

"When was the last time you didn't cheat?" Emmett countered.

"I never cheat." Alice said with a gasp and placed a hand over her heart like she was insulted at being told she was a cheater.

"Alice you always cheat whenever you don't play Edward and Emmett; you can never beat either of us." Rosalie said, joining back into the conversation.

"Ya huh, I've won lots of times" Emmett said, definitely whining this time. "Just ask Esme, don't I usually win when they play fair?"

"Oh no Emmett, I don't want to be dragged into this conversation." Esme said as she pulled me into her, like she was getting comfortable to watch a show. "This is a conversation that they have every few months Bella and it usually ends the same way."

"In what way?" I quickly asked, really amused by how Emmett was acting and how Alice and Rosalie were practically encouraging his behavior.

"You'll see." Esme said with a twinkle in her eye that made very excited to be able to see what would happen next.

"Esme, it sounds like you're on their side. That's not fair; you're always on their side." Emmett whined.

"She's not on our side; she specifically said that she didn't want to pick sides." Rosalie said as she placed the controller on the floor and picked up the magazine she had placed earlier on the side table when I had asked her to play for me. "She doesn't want to hurt your feelings by saying out loud that she knows Alice and I are right." Alice giggled loudly at that comment and I joined in the laughing at the look of absolute hurt Emmett shot Esme.

"She's not a mind reader Emmett; she has no way of knowing what I'm thinking." Esme said and I could just barely see that she was barely hiding a smile. "And if she could, she would know that I would never pick sides between you all."

"That's it!" Emmett said with a snap of his fingers. "A mind reader! We have one of those and he can tell me for sure that you did cheat so you could win in front of your girlfriend." Emmett said as he raced off to I'm guessing wherever Edward was.

"I'm not her girlfriend." I weakly said from my cuddled position next to Esme.

I will admit, to myself at least, that we were probably on our way to being girlfriends, especially after them telling me how they felt about me. But at the moment, we were just friends. At least, as far as I knew, we were just friends. We hadn't really talked about being anything more than friends, well they had talked about me being their mate, but we hadn't labeled our relationship as anything but friends.

"Yet; she's not our girlfriend yet." Rosalie said as she placed what could only be a possessive hand on my thigh and gently gripped it. "Plus, I don't need to beat you in video games to show off to her; beating you is too easy for it to be considered showing off." Rosalie said with a wave of her hand.

"That's not true!" Emmett said as he walked back into the room while dragging Edward in with him. "Tell them Edward; tell them that they did in fact cheat and that I'm really hard to beat."

"Emmett, I was busy doing something that didn't involve this." Edward grumbled with a frown.

"You were working on a song that you've been trying to write for the last few years; there's not a chance that you would actually have finished today if you haven't finished it yet. Plus, helping to fix family issues is very important."

"I could finish it if you would actually give me more than just an hour to look at a time to work on it."

"This happens every time." Esme whispered into my ear, slightly adjusting our positions so that Rosalie could lean against me as she read her magazine and I could still be comfortable leaning against Esme.

"This doesn't happen every time." Emmett said with a very weak glare directed at Esme. "Come on Edward; I'm your brother, help me out."

"This does happen every time Em and you always get the same answer." Alice interjected with a hummed agreement from Jasper, who was still reading his book.

"No it doesn't; your memory is faulty." Emmett said with an actual glare at Alice; I guess not even Emmett in all his humorous glory wouldn't even dare to glare at Esme; she's just too sweet to do that to. "Come on Eddie, help me out." Emmett pleaded.

"Emmett," Edward said with a sigh as he pinched the bridge of his nose in exasperation. "You know that I can only hear what people what thinking at the moment, not what they were thinking. If they don't want me to hear that they cheated, not that I'm saying they did," Edward quickly said as Emmett started to look really excited that he was about to prove right. "I'm just saying that it's really easy for them to hide that they didn't cheat, if they even did. Also, I don't want to invade my family's privacy like that and you wouldn't want me to, right Emmett?"

"But I'm not asking you to do that Edward; I'm only asking that you confirm that they were cheating." Emmett said with a wave of his hand towards Rosalie and Alice. "Come Edward."

"So, you really want me to invade their privacy?" Edward asked with an arched eyebrow.

"That doesn't seem very nice." I mumbled quietly before I remembered that no matter how quiet I was, they would all be able to hear. So, of course, they heard my mumble and Emmett immediately directed a wounded expression towards me, which caused me to cuddle a little further into Esme out of embarrassment.

"It's not dear, so you shouldn't ask Edward to do that Emmett." Esme said with a tone that clearly expressed that ended that idea.

"Thank you Esme." Edward said with a nod of his head. "I'll be working on my music, hopefully in peace now." Edward said before he disappeared.

"Okay, fine, I won't prove myself right with Edward." Emmett said with a determined look.

"You never do." Rosalie said in a bored voice as she turned the page in her magazine, making Alice giggle once again.

"Jasper is here, he can confirm that you cheated." Emmett said, now looking victorious. He quickly lost that look though because no sooner had Emmett said that did Jasper disappear and Alice started laughing in her mates' former seat.

"He decided that he needed to go hunting real quick." Alice finally said after she calmed down. "You know that he never helps you anyways."

"That's not fair, I needed his help." Emmett said.

"If you needed his help, it only shows that you were wrong and were reaching for straws to try and be right." Rosalie said in her ever calm and seemingly non-caring tone.

"I don't need his help to prove I'm right." Emmett said as he sat back down and picked up his controller. "I'll just prove it right now. Come on Ally, play a game with me."

"Just like normal, he conveniently forgets that Alice actually does cheat, since she can't actually stop her visions from happening, she'll always win. But he won't complain for the rest of the day because he knows that he'll lose like he did before, but also, we won't want to play with him because of him complaining too much." Esme explained as we watched Emmett and Alice start a new game that I hadn't seen them play yet.

"The peace will only last for a few months before he starts complaining again." Rosalie commented as she snuggled further into me and flipped another page of her magazine.

The rest of the afternoon I watched Alice and Emmett play video games. Jasper eventually came back and joined in with Alice and Emmett in playing the video games. Edward didn't make an appearance again, but I could occasionally hear him playing his piano. Rosalie had eventually moved so that her legs were lying over the arm rest and her upper body was lying against me. Carlisle eventually came home, greeted all of us and then went up to his study to do some work. Esme stayed in her spot, though because of Rosalie's new position and consequently my new position because of her, Esme had moved slight as well so that I was actually lying against her front instead of her side. Her hand was gently stroking my head and gently combing through my hair with her fingers.

Eventually though, once it was dark out, Esme offered to cook dinner for me and to stave off any of my declines, she asked me to actually cook with her. I had never really had much of a chance to cook before, well at least not a big variety from whenever Charlie didn't have takeout, and I actually really enjoyed cooking, so I was more than happy to help her cook something. We both asked Rosalie to help us, but she declined and instead opted to sit by the island in the kitchen and watch us cook. Once the meal was fully cooked, I sat down next to Rosalie and Esme sat across from me and the three of us, mostly Rosalie and Esme since I was eating, talked about random topics.

"You know Bella, Alice has told us that this weekend there's going to be a thunderstorm." Rosalie said in a small lull of conversation as I took my plates to the kitchen where Esme quickly took the plates from me to clean.

"Oh, that's good, I guess." I said, sounding a little confused since I had no idea why I would actually care about a thunderstorm; or why she would actually care about it for that matter.

"We normally play baseball as a family during thunderstorms, since it provides perfect coverage." Esme explained, though it didn't really explain much at all.

"What would you need coverage for?" I asked as I stood next to Esme at the sink while she washed the dishes at a human pace.

"Come out with us on Saturday and find out, it will be fun, I promise." Rosalie said as she walked up behind me and wrapped her arms around my waist and allowed me to lean back into her.

"Sure, I guess I'll go." I finally answered. I was actually a little excited about seeing them playing baseball. Rosalie seemed happy about it and she wasn't one to normally show her excitement. So because of her showing at least a little excitement I knew watching them play baseball had to be a bit fun.

"Wonderful, I can't wait to show you how we play." Esme said as she turned around to hug me.

"It will be fun." Rosalie said as she kissed my cheek.

The rest of the week was spent basically exactly like today. I hadn't spent the night at the Cullen's place again, not for lack of Rosalie, Esme and even Alice and Emmett's attempts to get me to, but Rosalie had given me a ride to school every day. Rosalie was sure to walk me to all my classes and Emmett and Alice had sometimes met us in between to walk with us. Even Jasper and Edward had walked with us to a class or two. Esme had started to pack a lunch for me and therefore everyone else, but in my lunches, she also included little notes. On Monday she left a romantic poem, Tuesday had an encouraging note about a test I worried about, Wednesday was a little joke that I was happy to share with Rosalie and causing both of our laughter to confuse and irritate Emmett since he wasn't in on the joke, Thursday had another romantic poem and then Friday was just a little note saying how excited she was to have me spending the night.

Alice had bugged me all night Wednesday and Thursday. Emmett had bugged me all week about it. Jasper and Edward had asked just a handful of times and even Carlisle had mentioned in passing that it would be nice to have me over to watch videos all night with everyone on Friday night. Rosalie and Esme had a lot more tact than Alice and Emmett, but they did ask every time they could. By Thursday afternoon as Rosalie was driving me over to the Cullen's house, I had decided that when Esme asked next, I would agree to stay over. The only reason why I hadn't agreed when Rosalie had asked me when I had actually agreed during the ride was because I felt it was only fair to accept their invitation when both Esme and Rosalie were there.

It wasn't until we had started on our homework that Esme had finally casually mentioned how much more sleep I could get if I were to stay over so that we could all leave together instead of them having to go get me. She put it a lot better than that, but that was basically what she had said. I agreed right away, I couldn't even pretend to try and pretend that I was going to disagree again and delay giving my answer, but I just couldn't do it when I looked at Esme and saw just a glimmer of hope in her eyes. I practically had no choice but to accept the invitation.

On Saturday just after lunch, the start of the game was delayed so that I could eat per Esme's request and Alice's assurance that would actually be a good time to start; I was going to watch the whole Cullen family play baseball.
