Chapter 21: Love letters?!
Jack's POV
I woke to the feeling of something wet licking my face. I opened my eyes and saw Asland on top of me. "Asland!" I cried and I wiped my face.
"What? You've been sleeping for way too long. And you were sleep talking," Asland said. He smirked. "Was it about Elsa?" he asked.
I started turning red. I was dreaming about Elsa last night and I was about to confess to her.
"Ha! You were dreaming about Elsa!" Asland cried.
"What about you? What's with you and Snow?" I asked.
"I have no idea what you are talking about," Asland said, although I think I could see some pink on his cheeks.
"You like her don't you?" I asked.
"Yeah, but she's a dog and I'm a fox! It's not going to happen," he said.
"Hey want to give the girls a surprise?" I asked. Asland gave me a quizzical look. I went to the painting and opened it. Asland gasped.
"Elsa showed me this and you are not allowed to tell anybody," I said and he nodded. We walked down the passage to Elsa's room. I pushed a button on the wall and the wall slid to the side and revealed Elsa sleeping on her bed in her room. By her side was Snow. That big book Elsa brought into the globe room was on her bedside table.
"On the count of three," I whispered to Asland.
"One…" Asland said.
"Two…" I said.
"Three!" we shouted and jumped on the girls.
"What!" Elsa and Snow sprang up on the bed. Asland and I were laughing on the floor because of the girls' reaction. Asland was just as mischievous as me.
"Jack!"
"Asland!"
Suddenly, we were tackled on the floor. Elsa and Snow were jumping on top of us. We fought back. It was kind of hard, since they were girls and they were in a better position.
"Not so great now, huh?" Elsa asked.
"Yeah, you got us," I said and she got off me.
"Don't ever do that again," Snow said.
"Okay, but it was so much fun!" Asland said, earning another hit from Snow.
"You know I'm starting to regret showing you the passageways," Elsa said.
"No, you don't regret anything," I laughed and got a light punch from Elsa.
"Alright, back to your room! I don't want you two coming out of our room when there are yetis outside," Elsa said. And we went back through the passageways to our room.
"That was awesome!" Asland said as we exited our room. We bumped into Elsa and Snow, and once again, I caught Elsa by the waist.
"That was some wake up call," Elsa said as I sat her on her feet.
"It was the best wakeup call ever," I laughed and we walked to the globe room. There were still yetis there, but the others were not really looking at Elsa that much.
As we were eating cookies, we watched the others talk. Merida and Hiccup were talking about weapons, Punzie and Tooth were talking what kind of accessory was better. North and Bunny were arguing about which holiday is better. Sandy was bringing dreams to the children.
"You know we never got to finish our game of 20 questions. We stopped at question 5," Elsa said.
"Okay, it's your turn," I said.
"Favourite weapon?" she asked.
"My staff, but if you mean the usual type, it would be a dagger," I said.
"Why?"
"Hey, it's my turn, and to answer to your question, it would be because it's easy to carry and it just looks awesome. Easy to use too," I said.
"My favourite weapon would be my arrows, I like them because you can attack from afar," she said.
"Okay, my turn, favourite gem and why?" I asked.
"Sapphire and because it's blue," she said.
"I like moonstones. They just seem to have many magical powers," I said.
"They do have magical properties," Elsa said. I was about to ask why when a wolf made of black sand came in. It had a huge bundle of letters with it. It dropped the bundle in front of Elsa and it dropped a note, and left as quickly as it came.
"What was that?" Punzie asked.
"Hate wolf," Elsa said. "From Tempest." Who's Tempest? She grabbed the note the wolf left and read it, "Wouldn't want to be you right now."
She looked at the bundle of letters and groaned. That bundle must have hundreds and hundreds of letters.
"Wow, that is a lot of letters for us," Snow said.
"What letters?" Merida asked.
"Love letters," Elsa said. I spit out my drink and Asland choked on his cookie.
"Love letters?!" we asked in unison after we got over our choking fits. The others were laughing at us.
"Not love letters to us," Snow said.
"They are love requests," Elsa explained. "We are cupid after all."
Asland and I sighed in relief, earning another round of laughter. Elsa and Snow were blushing hard.
"You should have seen your faces when you thought they were love letters for them," Merida laughed.
"Hey, Elsa listen to this," Snow said. She cleared her throat and started reading a letter.
"Dear cupid,
I am Prince John of England. I am in love with this beautiful maiden. Her name is Maid Marion. She is the most enchanting enchantress in the whole world. Which is simply why I must have her! Now I order you to make her fall in love with me.
By order of the royal court,
Prince John."
"Haha…" Elsa was laughing so hard. Snow was rolling on her back. "That greedy Prince John, wants me to make Maid Marion fall in love with him? Sorry, Prince, I've already paired her up with Robin," Elsa laughed.
"Is that Prince a bad match?" Punzie asked.
"He's the worst guy a girl could ever have! All he does is eat and tax the poor," Snow said. She crumpled up the paper and threw it into the rubbish bin.
"Oh, here's another one," Snow said.
"Dear Cupid,
I am in love with this beautiful girl, but I have a girlfriend. I can't choose who I should have? I mean there are gorgeous girls everywhere! Is it possible for me to have all of them?

At this, Elsa spit out her drink and it all landed on me.
"Sorry," Elsa said and she waved her hand. I was soon dry. Elsa attention was on the letter. "Like father like son, well in this case, like ancestors like descendants."
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Let's just say I know this guy's great-grandfather. That guy tried to kill me!" Elsa said. Wait, tried to kill her?
"Who is that guy?" I asked sharply.
"A prince from 300 years ago," she answered. "I'm not going to do anything about it."
Elsa took another letter and started reading.
"Dear Cupid,
I really like this guy. He's my best friend, I know he likes me, but he doesn't want to make the first move. I've been trying to let it go, but I have these butterflies, that I can't ignore. Every time I look at him, I feel like I'm in catch 22. Whenever I'm with him, my heart keeps skipping. I wish he could just bet his money on me. Can't he tell that I'm gold? I getting tired of playing games. What should I do?

Elsa looked at it for a moment, she started tapping her fingers to a rhythm. The she started singing.

Did she just make that up on the spot? Wow… I swear I saw Elsa looking at me every now and then.
"That's it! She needs to sing a song to express her feelings! Snow, write that down, and send it back to her," Elsa said and Snow started scribbling on a piece of paper. Then Elsa made a dove out of red sand and the dove took the letter and flew out.
So for the rest of the day we went through the letters. Some of them were for Elsa to help them find love, while others, were request for her to set them up.
Most of the time, Elsa would leave it like that. "Love starts with a spark. Sometimes, when you see your Mr Right, or Mrs Right, you could feel a spark happening, if it grows, it depends on you. I just help with the starting of the spark," Elsa says. I'm starting to wonder if I felt a spark for Elsa.
She's awesome, and beautiful. She's also nice, loyal, funny, stunning. I could get lost in her beautiful blue eyes. Her laugh sends shivers down my spine, her smile brightens up the whole room. Her touch is cool and I think I feel static.
But underneath all that, was an insecure girl, who holds many secrets. She was lost and doesn't seem to know what to do sometimes.
"Jack!" I heard Elsa call. I snapped out of my thoughts, and saw her looking worriedly at me. "Jack! You okay?"
"Yeah, I was just lost in my own thoughts," I laughed.
"Yeah, I can see that," she laughed. Okay, Jack, no more daydreaming. Day dreaming is for night time.
"Well, the sun has set, we should go to sleep," she said warily.
"Are you afraid of the nightmares?" I asked. She didn't answer, all she did was walk back to her room quietly.
That night, I lay on my bed, pondering about the stone Asland gave me. It was a blue gemstone, about the size of an apple. I didn't know what it was, what I should do with it?
Suddenly, I heard a scream, "No!"
In a flash, I flew out my window and was on Elsa's balcony in a flash. There she was again, crying on her bed. She was shivering, but I don't think it was because of the cold.
"Elsa!" I said and flew to her side. Instantly, her arms were around me.
"Jack! Please don't go!" she cried.
"I'm not going anywhere. I'm staying right here," I said. She didn't hear, she was sobbing so hard and muttering about some things that I can't hear.
"Elsa! Elsa!" I tried shaking her back to reality, but it was no use. I kept trying and trying, until, finally, she was back. She sobbed hard into my shoulder.
"Don't leave. Don't leave me," she cried. I wrapped my arms around her tightly. Her nightmare must have been about me. Something about me leaving her.
"No, I'm never leaving. I'm never going to leave you," I said and soon, Elsa cried herself to sleep again. As I laid her down on her bed, her grip on me was so tight, I couldn't get her to let go. So I settled myself next to her and wrapped my arms around her.
She was so fragile. In the day, she acts tough, she is tough. She was awesome and not many fears. At night, she becomes a girl who can break down easily because of fear.
Elsa kept muttering in her sleep. She kept repeating my name and something about secrets. Finally, she settled down and fell into a deep slumber.
No, I'm never going to leave her ever, I promise.
