Chapter 20: Talking with the Master
Kokuei's POV
Today is October 7th, 1895, Sebastian and Ciel had stayed in one of the servants room, it was rather strange. Regardless, I made some tea and scones this morning and brought it to that room. I knocked, "Sebastian, Ciel... I brought a snack..." I heard a bit of movement then I heard Sebastian's voice, "Come in, Ms. Karasu..." I opened the door slowly after balancing the tray in my one hand, I blushed as I saw that Sebastian was shirtless, Ciel was the same but he was sleeping on Sebastian's chest.
Sebastian smiled, "Tea? You didn't have to make any, Ms. Karasu..." I smiled and set the tray down on the desk beside his bed. "It's my job to serve my Masters in any way possible..." Sebastian smiled, "Technically it is your job to protect Ciel, but I'll make an exception just this once..."
I began pouring a cup of tea for Sebastian, since we were mostly alone; I figured we could a talk a bit. "So, do you remember...?" Sebastian looked at me for a moment and then smiled, "I do." I nodded and handed him the cup, he took it slowly. "February 20th, 1845." I nodded again, "Indeed... That was fifty years ago wasn't it?" He nodded as he sipped the cup of tea. "I remember it very well," I said softly, "I never did get to thank you."
Sebastian's POV
"I never did get to thank you." She said softly, I looked at her, "There's no need for thanks, Kokuei. I simply did as ordered." She frowned at me, "Sebastian, you saved my life... Whether it was by his orders or not, you still did it..." I looked at her, "Fifty years ago you were almost killed, to save your life; your husband made a contract with me... I'm sorry for what I did to save your life." She looks down at her gloved hands and slowly removed them; looking at my contract seal burnt into both her hands. "I don't mind really, it just means I can annoy you forever until you accept my thanks..." She smiled lightly, "I really don't mind being immortal."
I slowly handed back the empty teacup to her, Ciel stirred a little and slowly sat up. "Hmm..." He didn't sound very happy, but that was normal. "A-Acacius...?" I smiled, "Yes my love?" He pouted without looking at me, "My hips hurt." Kokuei laughed slightly and handed over a teacup to Ciel after he'd sat up. "Good morning, Ciel... Did you two have fun last night?" Sebastian laughed, Ciel looked irritated. "I would have had fun had he not been so rough." Sebastian smiled, "Now, now, my love, I asked if you were really sure about wanting to do that..." Ciel rolled his eyes, "You're annoying."
Kokuei's POV
I stood up and smiled, "Well, I'll leave you two to argue, I'm going to make sure the other servants are awake." I bowed and walked out of the room, I was just thinking about everything Sebastian has done for me, and back than I didn't know him as Sebastian... Nor did he go by Acacius. I believe at the time he was going by Vladimir Demire, a striking young gentlemen with black hair, hazel eyes that sometimes looked red, he was living undercover as a school-teacher for some reason, despite what the books and myths may say, demons are not bad people.
Demons are just misunderstood, Vladimir simply wanted to live as a human at the point in time, he saw no point in helping with the wars going on around the world, he saw no point in helping greedy people, so instead, he put on a kind smile and taught young toddlers how to read and write. He was a kind man, a man that I had fallen deeply in love with. And though every day I spend here, watching him with his fiancé is painful; I will protect Ciel Phantomhive with my life, for the man I love. For Vladimir Demire.
Author: A little bit of a twist and some of Kokuei's past, now we'll see her struggling to serve the man she loves and his lover! Dun dun dun! What will happen next?! Keep on reading and find out! I love y'all!
