~Preparing For The Game, And Upcoming Events~

(Sora)

"Alright, pay attention class! This is important!" Phil boomed, as he paced around the front of the room.

"As you all know, there are other worlds out there. This one world, the world I come from is the Olympus Coliseum! In my world, the tournament games are a big thing, SO! I'm giving you runts the opportunity to attend in the games! Any questions!?"

I didn't really have any, because I've been in the games many of times with Donald and Goofy, so I know what to expect.

"I do!" Vanitas shot his hand up. "What kind of monsters will we be fighting exactly?"

"All you can think of, from shadow hords to lesser titans!" Phil replied, in his scratchy voice.

"Lesser Titans!?" Siefer sneered. "But all we can practice on defeating around here are shadow hordes! How are we to be expected to take on Lesser Titans!?"

Phil clicked his tongue. "It appears that SOMEONE hasn't been paying attention in class or doing their homework!"

"He does have a point, Phil." Terra chimed in. "Learning and reading about something is one thing, but actually defeating it is another."

"Thank you!" Siefer grumbled, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Well, I won't force anyone to go past their limits. Or even participate in the games! I'm just giving everyone this opportunity. Actually, even anyone who isn't in this class and has experience with some sort of weapon is welcome to participate in the games, so spread the word around! I'll have a sign up sheet outside the classroom!" Phil replied, waddling over to his desk to get his clipboard.

"What happens if we get severely injured and have run out of potions?" Terra asked.

"You will call for back up, and they will fight of whatever it is you were fighting so you can leave the arena." Phil replied.

"When will this event take place?" Ari asked, tapping the end of her pen against her chin.

"November 2nd! A couple of days after Halloween! You'll all have plenty of time to prepare!" Phil answered, waddling outside of the classroom to hang up the clipboard.

The dismissal bell rang and everyone gathered their things and rushed out of the classroom, talking about the games to another.

I collected my things and got up and walked over to Vanitas, Terra, and Ari.

"Hey! So are you guys going to participate in the games!?" I ask.

"Hell yeah!" Vanitas smirked. "All this school work is driving me bat shit insane, I need some competition. I could fight millions of shadow hordes with my eyes closed, I'm ready for a challenge."

"Don't be so sure." Terra said, as the four of us walked out the classroom and over to the sign in sheet. "They can be fast and sneaky."

"So can I." Vanitas replied, winking at Ari.

Ari rolled her eyes, and took the pen off the clipboard and signed her name.

"In Agrabah there was more than just Shadows, I think I could take out a lesser titan."

I nod remembering the fat bandits, red nocturne's, scarlet tango's, red bandits, pot and barrel spiders, pot scorpions, and rapid thusters. They were challenging to defeat even with Donald and Goofy's help. I can't imagine how Ari did it alone.

"I must say, I'm impressed." Terra said as Ari handed the pen over to him. "The way you fight in Martial Arts, I say you're a good fighter."

Vanitas rolled his eyes at Terra. Was he jealous?

"Thank you, I guess...that's what happens when you're just trying to survive." Ari replied as Terra wrote down his name and passed the pen to me.

I took it and quickly signed my name and handed it over to Vanitas. "You do realize that if you use dark magic, you'll be thrown out of the games right?"

"Yeah, I kind of figured that! Relax. I'll be good." Vanitas said, snatching the pen out from my hand and slapping his signature on the paper.

"Hello!" Kairi greeted, running over to us.

I smiled at her, and grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her in for a big hug.

"Hey Kairi! Guess what!? I'm participating in the games at the Olympus Coliseum!" I announced proudly, running my hand up and down her slim back.

"Oh are you!?" She looked up at me with big violet eyes. "You'll be okay, right!?"

"Of course! I fought in the games lots of times!" I smiled at her, feeling my heart race just from the smell of her perfume.

"That's good! Can I sign up too!?" She asked.

My heart fluttered at the thought of my little Kairi fighting by herself against all these monsters. I didn't like the idea, at all but I made a promise to her that I wouldn't treat her like a doll. And she wasn't a doll. She was stronger than she looked, it was just the thought of her getting hurt that scared me.

"Of course, you don't need anyone's permission!" Ari replied, taking the pen out from Vanitas' hand and placing it in Kairi's waiting one.

I hooked my arm around her petite waist as she wrote her name under mine.

"Perfect! I'm excited! I could use more practice with Destiny's Embrace!" Kairi said, putting the pen back in the clipboard and wrapping her arms around my waist. She placed a gentle kiss on my cheek.

"Gross!" Vanitas wailed. "I'm out! See you three at practice!"

"I better get going too." Terra replied, nodding at us. "See you at practice, bye Kairi."

"Bye!" Kairi waved at Terra with a smile and looked at Ari. "So are you entering the games too!?"

"Yup. It's been awhile since I've fought off monsters, I want to make sure I haven't lost my touch."

"I'm sure you haven't! You'll do great!" Kairi beamed.

"I think we all will!" I add, kissing the top of Kairi's head. "We just have to prepare for it!"

(Vanitas)

Walking down the halls, I decided to do what the other students around here did. Walk with their phones stuck under their noses.

I realized I haven't checked my phone since yesterday morning. I had two text messages. Whoo! I'm popular.

One was from Xehanort and the other was from Kairi.

I honestly could care less on what Xehanort had to say so I opened up Kairi's message.

Hey Vanitas, I'm not sure if you knew...but Selphie is interested in you.
I'm sorry if this isn't my business but I just thought you should know.

Selphie's interested in me? I kind of figured, considering that she's all over me whenever she sees me. But I wasn't interested in girls like that anymore. I wanted someone to actually care about me and I don't know...like me for me? Not just my looks.

For the hell of it, I decided to check the old man's text:

Hey kid! Being good sucks, you know that!? I started smoking. It's better than killing people right!?
Let me tell you, I don't think a second life is worth it when I spend most of it with that ugly ass wizard all day!

I rolled my eyes.
Since when was a former dark keyblade wielder such a drama queen?

(Terra)

It felt good jumping into the cool water of the gym's pool once school was out.
It was a hot day today and I found myself with lots of energy from sitting behind a desk half the day.

"Hey, T-Terra!" Ventus called, swimming over to me. His teeth were chattering violently and he was shaking like a leaf.

I raised my eyebrows at him.
"Hey, are you okay?"

"F-fine! The water is just a bit c-cold..." Ventus chattered, hugging himself.

I laughed and patted his slim shoulder.

"Sephiroth finally fixed the heating in the pool, so it shouldn't be too cold!"

"It still is to me! I'll warm up once we get practicing." Ventus replied, as the others started to step into the pool.

Wakka sat down on one of the steps tossing a blitz ball back and for in his hands.

"Alright Gulls! This is it! Our last practice until we have our first game! Are you all excited!?"

"YEAH!" We all cheered together in unison.

"Well I'm not! I'm nervous! This team is really tough...its the Twilight Phantoms we're up against." Wakka gulped.

"We'll be fine, Wakka!" Tidus waved a hand at him and smiled at us. "Don't mind him, he just gets cold feet before every game! Now I want you all to split into groups of four! We're going to do warm up drills with ball passing!"

I expected a snort or a remark from Vanitas but there was nothing. He swam over to us with a blank expression.

"Hey, want to warm up together? I promise I won't be an asshole." He said, surprising Ven and I.

"Uh...sure!" Ventus replied, nodding at me.

I nodded back in agreement. It wouldn't hurt to give him a chance, would it?

Aqua swam over to us, cradling a ball close to her chest. She looked at Vanitas warily but didn't question it.

"Alright guys, let's put our very best into today's practice! We want to make Wakka and the whole school proud!"

"Yeah, sure. No pressure or anything..." Vanitas muttered.

I shot him a glare from his sassy comment.

He shrugged. "Sorry."

(Jessie)

"WOW! I'm WHIPPED!" I cried to Ari as we made our way up to the girls dormitory. "I don't think Wakka has ever worked us so hard before! He must be really nervous for the game next week!"

"I know..my arms and legs feel like noodles." Ari replied, a small smile pulled at her lips.

"Really! I'm glad we're constantly in the water so we don't have to worry about sweating!" I replied, just as my phone went off.

"Let me guess...Riku!?" Ari asked, looking at me with her ice blue eyes.

"Maybe!" I replied in a sing-song voice as we stopped at the door to our dorm.

I pulled out my phone to see it was a text from Riku:

Hey, I know it's late but did you want to get some ice cream? My treat.

"You know what!? I'll be back in an hour or so! Riku just asked me for ice cream! Make sure to feed Waldo!" I say, as I quickly reply to Riku's text.

"Waldo!? You mean our rat?" Ari asked, raising her eyebrows at me.

"Yes! I kind of already named him..."

She shrugged. "That's cute. Alright, for now we call him Waldo. Don't be back too late, we have school tomorrow." Ari replied, winking at me before closing the door behind her.

I smiled to myself and raced back down the hall, but only made it a few feet when I felt sharp pains shoot up my thighs.

"Ow! Ow! OW!" I cried, coming to halt to rub at my sore thighs.

I hope Riku didn't mind waiting a bit, because it was going to take me awhile going back down all those stairs...

(Roxas)

"Sorry to cut out our lesson so early, Kairi, I'm just exhausted..." I say, rubbing my eyes. Blitz ball practice today really wiped me out, and we went an hour longer than our usual practices.

I was finally able to give Kairi the piano lessons I promised, things have just been so crazy between everyone hooking up and Ari disappearing.

"Oh! Please don't be sorry, I completely understand! I can't imagine how tiring Blitz ball must be!" Kairi replied, slinging her school bag over her shoulder and getting up from the chair in front of my keyboard. "Do you think I'm improving!? Once I have enough munny saved up, I want to buy my own keyboard so I don't have to keep using yours!"

"Not a problem at all!" I reply, with a yawn causing her to giggle.

"Well, goodnight! Goodnight Axel!" Kairi said to Axel who was in his bunk reading a chapter in his textbook.

"Goodnight! Don't forget to study for tomorrow's french quiz!" Axel said.

"You're just studying now!? Belle told us a week ago we'd be having a quiz!" Kairi replied, widening her eyes.

"I know! I KNOW! I've been busy okay!?" Axel defended.

"Yeah...with Xion!" Sora teased.

"SHUT YOUR FACE!" Axel hollered, his cheeks turning a bright pink.

"Guys..." I warned, pointing at both of them. "It's past eight..remember, King Mickey expects noises down after eight!"

"Sorry..." They both muttered.

Kairi laughed and walked over to Sora's bunk. She climbed up on the ladder and shared a sweet kiss with him.

"Goodnight, lazy bum!" she said, kissing him again before hopping down to her feet and leaving our dorm.

Sora laid back against his pillows with a goofy grin on his face.

"You just got to love love!" He sighed happily.

Suddenly I started to think about Namine.
