Hey, everyone! I'm back with a brand new chapter of Hollywood Arts, Huh? and it comes sooner than later. In this chapter it's my prequel for what leads up to The Worst Couple Ever. I believe for the next couple of chapters that I have lined up... it'll go down.

And this isn't my best. I admit it. The ending was rushed and I wasn't really feeling it but decided to post. I kept you all waiting long enough.

So kudos to you, if you're loving this as much as I am. And thanks for the favorites, alerts and review. I wouldn't be writing without you guys! (who am I kidding? I'd write regardless, but you all do contribute!)

Here's that chapter and please enjoy!

Happy Reads!

Disclaimers: It's known that my name is not Dan, and that I do not own VicTORIous. Otherwise it would still be going on, whether it be on a different network or the damn internet.

Chapter 21: Green Eyes

Nikki's POV

When I got home, it was sitting on my bed with hands oh, so placed innocently on his lap like last night didn't happen and like I hadn't meant what I said by us being done for good. So I just stood at the frame of my bedroom door staring as he did the same back.

It felt like time stopped because while I may have caved back then, namely a couple of days ago when it did the same thing, sitting there like it was an innocent puppy and presented me with a promise-ring that not only was beautiful and had my birthstone as the center gem... I was not going to do that again. Just being a few feet away from it made my stomach lurch again and made me feel...

It made me feel...

Angry.

Furious.

Pain.

Anguished.

"Get out!" I found myself yelling. I narrowed my eyes when it winced like It had just seen a ghost. "Get the fuck out and never come back!"

I grabbed the nearest thing to me: an old 797-paged textbook―and threw it.

It jumped up from it's spot and backed up, holding out hands as if it was surrendering.

Fuck your surrender.

I grabbed the snow-globe with the little Santa Claus residing in a lawn chair outside of the North Pole with cute circle-framed shades on his face. It would always joke and say Santa wasn't cold, lounging out there like that because his body fat kept him warm. It got me this snow-globe as an apology for standing me up on our date that was on Christmas' eve two years ago, when we first began seeing each other. I threw the globe and it attempted to catch the piece-of-shit momento but it slipped from his hands and shattered against the window pane, sending water and fake snow pieces all over the window.

"Nikki!" It groaned. "Pleasejust―" it tried to dodge the shoe that came hurling, and failed. "Hear me out, babe!"

"You got some nerve calling me that!" I rushed over to it and just went off. Punching, kicking, screaming, the whole shebang. "You're a liar―a cheater!"

I was blinded by tears and rage―didn't stop hitting him until I grew tired and his face was red like a beet. The last thing to do was to open the window―I did that and then pointed to the ground two stories below.

There was no way in hell that I'd let it leave out the door.

"Get out and don't you ever find yourself up here again!" I seethed, furiously wiping the tears streaming down my face.

"Nikki―" I held up a hand and he closed his mouth.

"Leave!" I yelled, shaking my head. "Just fucking leave!"

But it just stood there. Jason fucking stood there like an idiot and that's when I got mad again―so I pushed him. I pushed Jason out the window and I wish I killed him.

But I didn't. Sadly.

He groaned and collected himself off of the ground, rubbing his head, back and whatever else in the process.

"She didn't say anything?"

"Nothing at all. Just stared out the window like a zombie." Beck sighed heavily, clutching the plush, red pillow.

Tori frowned, not knowing what to say. It wasn't a surprise to her when Beck showed up at her house. They were close friends and cared deeply for each other on a platonic level. Maybe at one time there was that moment where Tori actually felt for Beck romantically and he felt for her but he had Jade and she wouldn't think of it to be right to pursue him. But what was the surprise was when her friend came seeking advice when he was the one who usually gave it.

Not to mention the fact that it was advice on what to do about the newest addition to the group and Hollywood Arts, Nikki Radke.

"I… uh, saw the video…" she trailed off. "... from the party."

Beck only buried his head in the pillow and groaned as a response.

"Hey, now…" Tori smiled sheepishly, trying to lighten the mood."Don't suffocate yourself in my mom's favorite pillow."

Beck shook his head and tossed the pillow back on the red sofa instead of holding it to his face and in his hands. "I told Jade to delete that." He scoffed and wiped his face, "Jade knew that Nikki had a rough night and yet she still thought it was cool to tease her on it. She's a handful you know? She'd want the video gone if someone caught her on video like that, but let it be someone else."

"We all know that Jade can be…" the Latina couldn't even think of a word to say. She just shut her mouth and shrugged. "What do you think we can do to―"

Tori immediately paused talking again. She squinted her eyes and leaned forward a bit trying to get a good look at something.

"What?" Beck furrowed his eyebrows into a knit following where her gaze rest. "Something wrong?"

Tori held up a finger and got up from the sofa, heading to the back doors where the infamous planted shrub rested. So many times had that potted plant been the hiding place for eavesdroppers: Robbie, Sinjin, Rex, random people even―mainly Northridge girls trying to get a peek at the distressed teen sitting on the sofa now.

Her lips formed a thin line. "I thought I saw something move." She grabbed the broomstick by the door and open it slowly, poking the stick inside the bush.

When no one grunted as a response to being jabbed with a broomstick, Tori squinted her eyes further.

"False alarm." She mumbled to Beck who was now at the door by her side.

"Paranoid much?"

"No it's just that usually someone―" Tori abruptly stopped talking and kicked off her Ugg boot, throwing it to some random part of the patio. "Sorry." She grinned at the bewildered Beck. "Just making sure there were no peepers, eavesdroppers, spies or Sinjin."

Beck snickered, roaming fingers through his hair. "You know I always wondered―why does Sinjin always have his own category?"

Tori giggled and shrugged, turning back to make her way inside behind Beck until a loud Achoo! was heard.

Beck glanced back, "Bless you."

"I didn't sneeze." Tori frowned, stomping back over to the patio. "Alright, whoever it is… come out!"

The bushes to her left that her mom had just planted last week shook and an ominous giggle and screech was heard.

Beck and Tori both rolled their eyes already knowing just who exactly it was.

Jade emerged along with the red-head Cat skipping out behind her.

"Hi!" She chimed with a bubbly grin and wave of her dainty hands.

"Cat!" Tori whined, placing hands on her hips, "What are you doing hiding on my patio? With―" the brunette grimaced before muttering, "with Jade?"

The raven haired girl just rolled her icy blue eyes and crossed her arms. "The question is, what are you doing here at this house with my boyfriend?"

Tori snapped, "Jade if you didn't know―this is my house!"

Jade turned to Beck. "Why are you over here with Tori?"

"Why did you follow me?" He countered back, crossing his arms as well.

"Excuse me?!" Her eyebrows twitched the slightest. And when Jade's eyebrows twitched… she was getting pissed. "I asked you the question!"

"And I asked you one too." - "Did you follow me over here, Jade? And why?"

The raven haired girl turned her head away defiantly.

Beck leaned forward. "No answer?" Jade kept up her stance, though. She didn't answer him and continued to pretend like she didn't hear anything.

After a few minutes he turned to Tori, pointing a thumb at the open patio door. "Ready to go back inside?"

The brunette nodded once, leading the way while Beck trailed behind. "Jade, do me a favor and just please leave." He said over his shoulder, ignoring the astonished look engraved on her face.

"Oh, so you're just going back inside there, huh?!"

He shrugged his shoulders as a response to his girlfriend and closed the patio door right in her face, waving a sheepish goodbye before plopping back down on Tori's sofa.

"Beck!" Jade screeched from the other side. She knocked furiously on the glass door. "Get out here this instant!"

She knocked again, watching with narrowed eyes as him and the Latina kept talking about whatever it was he came over here for.

She knew he was mad when she refused to remove the video from the internet being that it already had over two-thousand views each on The Slap and YouTube. But what she couldn't figure out is why exactly he came over to Tori's house, knowing the brunette wasn't a favorite of hers. It urked her nerves that he had the audacity to embarrass her, as well.

Jade frowned at the way he leaned back comfortably on the sofa, nodding his head to whatever Tori was telling him.

"Can you believe this, Cat?" Jade blurted out, gritting her teeth at how they ignored her presence like she hadn't even been on the patio.

When Jade heard no response from the red-head she turned around just to find the girl sniffing the assortment of roses and flowers decorating Tori's patio porch.

Cat sniffled and sneezed before giggling and sniffing some more, just to sneeze again.

"Cat!" Jade called out to her, jolting the girl from her position.

"Whatie?" The red-head obliviously answered, playing like a lock of her hair.

"It's your fault we got caught!"

"Well, no one told you to hide us near the rose-bushes." Cat retorted, blinking her big brown eyes. "They make me sneeze."

Jade glared and questioned, annoyance laced in her tone, "Then why are you sniffing them?!"

Cat glanced back and forth between the waiting Jade and the red roses before finally shrugging once. "I don't know."

With a big huff, Jade pulled out her Pear phone. Her thumbs tapped away and she pressed the send button with unnecessary pressure, nearly freezing her phone screen in the process.

"Let's go, Cat!" She yelled, waving the red-head on as she stomped away to her car.

"It looks like Jade's finally leaving." Tori sighed in relief, hopping from her seat to lock the patio door. "It got real weird trying to pretend she wasn't there when she was practically glaring daggers at me," the brunette laughed.

"Want a drink or something?" She asked, peeking in the fridge.

"Beck?"

The brunette closed the refrigerator and walked over towards the sofa, raising eyebrows when Beck was on his phone, typing hard and fast.

In less than a second, a ding! was heard from his phone and he groaned angrily, texting again to whoever that was.

"What's going on?"

He sent the next message before holding up his phone for Tori to see.

Her mouth popped open. "Jade said that?!"

"I don't know how I deal with her sometimes―" another ding! brought his attention away from Tori and back onto his touchscreen phone.

"Oh? That's how you feel?!" He scoffed to himself, typing a lengthy response. He tapped the send button and locked his phone, slipping it in his pocket.

"Sorry about that." Beck licked his lips. "Now what were we talking about before?"

Tori sat down and crossed her legs. "We were discussing your game plan."

Beck snickered, "my what?"

"Your game plan." The brunette nudged him with her elbow. "You need to figure out how exactly you're going to get that video taken down, get Nikki back in high spirits, fix that little spat you said you guys had and do something about your bossy girlfriend." She listed.

Beck however wasn't listening. Instead he was focused on his vibrating phone. Texting Jade back. Again.

"Beck!" Tori whined, bouncing in her seat.

"Sorry." He muttered with narrowed eyes. "There's nothing I can do about Jade―she'll always be bossy and always so―what the hell?!" His eyes widened.

Beck shoved the Pear phone in Tori's hand, muttering, "Scroll up and see what she said!"

The brunette's eyes scanned the screen for a few minutes before cautiously handing the phone back to him. "Your hair… isn't thinning… and I'm sure she didn't mean it when she said―"

Tori fiddled her thumbs. "Jade's just angry, that's all. I'm pretty sure when she said that―" she closed her mouth not having the right words. It was some pretty harsh things said back and forth between the couple in just the last five minutes.

"Angry with me or not, those types of things shouldn't be said in a relationship!" Beck fumed, all while patting his hair and running fingers through it. "I condition and shampoo every other day and moisturize daily! My hair is not thinning!"

"I know but―"

"Can you believe Jade said those things?!"

"Well, girlfriend isn't considered the nicest person―"

"I should be the one calling her names! She posted a video of her friend getting dumped online! A video of her friend fighting!"

"At least Nikki won the fight―"

"Jade's out of control." Beck shook his head. "She's become completely insane."

Tori raised a finger, "I-I thought she was always insane―"

He stood from his seat and grabbed his keys off the end table. "I'm going to go find her. I'm going to go to her right now!"

He grabbed his jean jacket, shoving the sleeves on his arms. And headed for the door.

"But what about―" the door slammed before Tori could even finish her sentence. Cue the sound of Beck's engine cranking up and his tires squealing out the driveway.

Tori leaned back in the sofa, wiping her face. She reached for one of the pillows on the chair and groaned her frustrations into the cushions.

"Tori, don't suffocate my pillows!" Her mom complained as soon as she walked into the door carrying grocery bags.

The Next Day

Nikki's POV

I don't know how many times I listened to the song Green Eyes by Wavves on vinyl. It was officially considered my break-up song. Talked about my friends hating me, which I assumed they did, talked about my break-up and those green eyes.

Jason's green eyes.

I sigh heavily, tossing the third bottle of apple juice on my room floor. And stare up at the ceiling as the record continued to play.

My life was pretty much a mess now.

As soon as I went on The Slap to change my relationship status to single and depressed, my inbox and feed was bombarded with so many people, those that went to Hollywood Arts and even complete strangers commenting on the "Briarwood Meltdown" which was code for me getting my ass dumped in front of everyone and me fighting the pixie bitch, Mia.

And to make matters completely worse, Jade also posted it on YouTube. Which was rising on the number of views by the second. Trina's fall was hilarious. That video of Sinjin sneaking up on André and Tori was funny. And the video of everyone in the Breakfast Bunch gang recording themselves in detention made me almost die with laughter. But this video of me fighting and having my heart broken by being cheated on… wasn't cool at all.

It got to the point where I logged out of all social media accounts and shut down my laptop.

Yeah, life was definitely a mess.

Tori called twice. André called three times. Robbie texted me asking for the name of the shampoo I used and Rex―if you even consider him a living figmentation―sent me a selfie.

And yet deep down somewhere… the person that I wanted to seek me out didn't.

So I went to sleep and woke up a little past my alarm.

Now here I was face-to-face with the door leading into Sikowitz's class. I took a deep breath in and deep breath out, before my shaking hand gripped the handle and pulled the door open.

Bobby and Cat were on the stage doing an acting exercise but stopped and stared like everyone else did once I walked in, and took my seat next to André.

"Alakiki, you're late." Sikowitz's stated the obvious.

I nod and cleared my throat so my voice didn't sound like a broken bell. "I woke up late."

"I'll say." I heard that piercing female voice comment from behind me.

I turn to face her but her phone made a ding! sound and she gasped, then glaring at Beck… who had a stoic expression plastered on his face.

Jade huffed and crossed her arms over her chest, turning her head away defiantly.

"Well, you know tardiness isn't appreciated in my class, Nikki."

I nod and stand. "Alright, Sikowitz. What's the exercise you need me to do to make up for it?"

Might as well get it over with.

Sikowitz was a weird teacher indeed. Instead of giving detentions or write-ups and performance-probation like some teachers did―*cough, cough* ―he made you do an acting exercise to make up for it.

"Anything of your choice." He chimed, smiling broadly.

The class went to buzzing about this―he always assigned the weirdest things but never gave the choice unless it was an actual creative project.

I motion for Bobby and Cat to take a seat, grinning a bit at the way Cat squealed happily to be off stage even though she was a born natural.

With a sigh, I face my classmates.

My eyes automatically connecting with the dark brown belonging to Beck Oliver.

"This is a monologue I wrote myself called Mean Faced Girls." I start, giving a short bow.

"As you all may know, last night was shit." I bluntly tell the class which gets them to start talking until Sikowitz shushes them and takes a sip of his coconut milk. "And not only did I get cheated on at a Briarwood house party, I got dumped and I fought a girl."

Two thousand people in the world which was probably everyone at this school, knew of the incident since some "friend" posted a video online. It shouldn't have been a surprise to anyone in this classroom to hear it directly from me. And I ignored the scoff coming from a specific goth in the classroom.

"So from the depths of my depleting soul, here's a little something I drabbled on while listening to Wavves all day and night."

I turn around and loosen up my stance before speaking, "With all of those slight curves and thighs, I know that he never asked what was on your mind."

As usual, Nikki related her works to real life.

And this time, it wasn't just about Beck. It was about Jason, too.

"He says your face looks so mean, babe. But deep down you know you're truly kind. You're just sick and tired of all of those dirty eyes and you wait for somebody who's worth your time, but even he can't tell you what's on your mind."

She looked directly at Beck. And then glanced at everyone else.

"Everyone will say you're so stuck up, for not being one of those somebodies who's easy to touch. But… he does tell you that you're much more than a pretty face with a nice waist. He wants to get a taste of your mind and make you feel…"

She smiled to herself, sighing lastly, "For the very first time… that you're worth more than a dime."

The class clapped once she stepped off the stage and André pat her shoulder.

"Very meaningful, Nikki." Sikowitz chirped, tossing his coconut out the window. He checked to make sure it hit no one's head before turning back to the class. "It was more of a poem than a monologue but I'll make an exception for that fact your life is now as hard as my ex-girlfriend's butt."

Nikki gave her teacher a pointed look and then a thumbs up, "Nice to know that you like the booty, Sikowitz." Some people laughed at the joke but then the bell rang.

And Nikki was out.

"Nikki!" Beck called out, jogging to catch up to the petite blue haired girl. She turned around and stopped in the middle of the hallway, nodding her head.

"Oh… Hi, Beck."

He caught his breath for a few seconds before blurting out, "Listen―I wanted to tell you I'm sorry."

Nikki's eyebrows knit together and she questioned, "What for?"

He let out a sigh before saying, "Everything. I'm sorry for last night, for this morning, for Jade, for what happened at the party, for the video―"

But what he didn't know was that she had already made up her mind. She wasn't going to be sad for Jason or feel sorry for herself. She wasn't going to like Beck and she was going to forgive Jade. Nikki was going to move on with her life and being late to class, listening to that one song on repeat and reciting a personal writing that was a poem more than a monologue, did the thing to get her back on her feet.

And although Beck probably wouldn't admit it, she knew that he heard her thoughts clearly and that the message was conveyed.

"Beck, it's fine." She waved him off with a hand before he shook his head, pulling her to the side.

Beck gazed deeply into her eyes―deep enough to make her blink twice and see the little honey specks mixed in with the dark brown color. He murmured softly, "No, it's not―"

"Beck, what the hell?!" Jade yelled, making him pause and roll his eyes. He turned didn't bother turning around to acknowledge her. They had been text-fighting all yesterday ever since she followed him to Tori's house and he wasn't going to let up on the argument either.

Jade came stomping over, bumping past anyone in her way until she got to the two. Her icy blue eyes glared at Nikki and she seethed, "Don't you walk away from me! And why are you talking to her?!"

Nikki faced Jade, saying to the both of them, "I forgive you and you, too." She smiled sheepishly at the raven-haired goth, sticking her tongue out playfully at her.

And it stumped Jade. She suddenly forgot about Beck telling that he kissed Nikki on the cheek and her animosity towards her calmed down from a roaring flame, to a little spark. "Wait―what?"

Nikki shrugged her shoulders, "I mean, even though you kind of, sort of did ruin a part of my life and my good reputation, at least you did get some good angles of me kicking Mia's ass."

Jade stared at the blue haired girl for a minute before shifting her messenger bag on the other shoulder. She cleared her throat and simply said, "Nikki… you're weird." And then walked away because she was so damn stumped.

Jade wanted to be angry, wanted to be mad and only posted the video because of realizing her and Beck's closeness. It was jealousy. And when Nikki said she forgave her… well, she didn't know what the hell to do or say. So she let her off the hook for now. But Beck wasn't.

He's going down. Jade thought to herself, glaring. She whipped out her cell.

The two friend watched as she turned down a hallway and disappeared out of sight.

"So you're okay with the video?" Beck asked, looking down at the short girl. His voice was soft yet full of wonder. After all of that, she was okay with it?

And her response was a slight giggle and punching of his shoulder. "Beck Oliver, don't you know that I only take a day to grieve?"

It was true. She was moving on.

Beck's lips slowly curved into a big grin, "So… you're back?"

Nikki smirked and nudged him with her elbow. "I'm back."

"And you forgive me?" He asked again, a hopeful glint in his eyes.

She nodded once and gestured for them to start walking to the class they shared together.

"Even after we―" Beck paused.

Nikki looked up at him, furrowing eyebrows. "After we what?"

He stared into her eyes before sighing, ready to confess to making out with her, "Nikki―when I brought you back to my place after the party, we ended up arguing and then we ki―"

Nikki's attention turned away from his explanation, to the vibrating phone in his pocket.

She pointed to his vibrating phone in his pocket. "I think you might want to check that."

"Right." He nodded once, grimly smiling.

His smile soon turned into a scowl.

"What is it?"

He gave her the phone. "See for yourself."

Nikki's eyes raked over the incoming messages from Jade, all of them as a continuation to them arguing. And about how Jade was making fun of the fact that his hair was "thinning".

"Dude, your hair is not thinning." Nikki laughed, shaking her head.

"That's what I said!"
